Greta stopped going to school, and even stopped eating, before her parents “helped” her by convincing her to become a climate activist.
Greta Thunberg’s father: ‘She is happy, but I worry’
Greta Thunberg’s father has said he thought it was “a bad idea” for his daughter to take to the “front line” of the battle against climate change.
Millions of people have been inspired to join the 16-year-old in raising awareness of environmental issues.
But Svante Thunberg told the BBC he was “not supportive” of his daughter skipping school for the climate strike.
Mr Thunberg said Greta was much happier since becoming an activist – but that he worries about the “hate” she faces.
…
Struggle with depression
Speaking to Husain as part of the show, Mr Thunberg said his daughter had struggled with depression for “three or four years” before she began her school strike.
“She stopped talking… she stopped going to school,” he said.
He added that it was the “ultimate nightmare for a parent” when Greta began refusing to eat.
…
Over the next few years they began discussing and researching climate change, with Greta becoming increasingly passionate about tackling the issue.

“What is the plan when Greta realises she has failed?”
I wonder what will happen when Greta realises that she was just a prop and she was lied to by all those around her? Will she even care or just ignore reality.
PS. When does Greta visit China? I would pay dearly to be a fly on the wall with Greta and Xi talking. LOL>

As your country burns and lives are being lost (due is part – at least – to our warming world), you choose to write a sneering article about a teenage girl with an opinion. Wow. I don’t agree with everything she says, but I’d rather have young people who are thinking about issues, than those that don’t.
Like Tesla 3’s, you have no idea what you are talking about with regards to fires in Australia.
Mr “Patrick electric cars has differentials”
Can we assume by your off topic taunt that you are still smarting from being caught publicly showing your ignorance of the mechanics of an electric vehicle? I think so.

The link you posted in the other thread; https://www.popsci.com/tesla-model-3-track-mode/
From your linked article; “The Model 3 doesn’t have a limited-slip differential on the wheels, which would allow for different amounts of torque to be sent to each wheel. Instead, it has an open differential, which sends equal amounts of torque to each wheel.”
What were saying about my ignorance of how to power two wheels that share a single axle with one power input without axle/transmission windup/damage and excessive tyre wear? Yes, that’s right, you install a diff, limited-slip or otherwise!!! Two wheel drive Tesla’s have one motor (Rear only), four wheel drive Tesla’s have two.

Utter rot Simon, bush fires have nothing to do with your CO2 doom-religion fear pathology. If zero CO2 was emitted by humans for the next thousand years it would make not one less bushfire in Australia over that period. You have no clue at all if you think it would.
Get over your CO2 phobia and the projecting of a religious-apocalypse into every natural event.

Mmmm … the planet warms, the ground is dryer, the plants burn, the people suffer. Nothing religious about that.
There is if you want to pretend CO2 from humans is responsible for natural processes like bushfire seasons. Yes, there’s a season for them. We have a wet-season in the north, and a bushfire-season in the south, every Summer. Sometimes the wet-season brings big cyclones, sometimes the fire-season brings big fires. It’s been like this ever since met records were first kept in the 1850s, and the media wrote about it, and poets also, prior to this.

And where does this disaster sit on the scale of things in your experience, coz in my from what I have seen and read this is right up there. Like I say, when the air is warmer (and it is) and things are drier (and they are) it is only reasonable to look at all the possible causes. So I am not pretending anything with regard to CO2. I’m reading the facts.
I suggest you look up the history of Australian bush fires going back to about 1850.
When white man arrived in OZ, he royally screwed up the environment by getting rid of the Aborigines who did a splendid job for 1000s of years looking after the place, introduced sheep, then rabbits, and each time made stuff worse and worse.
The joke is, there are many years between 1900 and 2019 which had worse fires than today, but they don’t get a mention anywhere on the global AGW religion rich BBC et al.
If I were a Casawary, I would go after the whites first and kill them all, then the sheep, leaving only native species alone, then kill the anyone left from the mass media still alive.

In any sane world, this would never be allowed. The exploitation of a child. Sad.
