Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg is looking to the world for suggestions as to how she can re-cross the Atlantic after next month’s U.N. climate summit in Chile was unexpectedly scrapped.
The 16-year-old made it from Sweden to California by yacht, train and electric car before Chile’s government announced it was canning the summit because of political unrest in the South American nation.
The COP25 summit will now be held in Spain and she is pleading for public help to make the 6000-mile trip through carbon-free modes of transportation.
“As #COP25 has officially been moved from Santiago to Madrid I’ll need some help,” Ms Thunberg tweeted from Los Angeles.
“It turns out I’ve travelled half around the world, the wrong way.”
“Now I need to find a way to cross the Atlantic in November … If anyone could help me find transport I would be so grateful.”

Thunberg refuses to fly because of the carbon emissions involved.
Her cry for assistance Friday came after she spent time with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio discussing ways and means to help the world struggle through what they claim is a “climate and ecological emergency,” as Breitbart News reported. DiCraprio called her a “leader of our time” and revealed they have made “a commitment to support one another.”

There is many military flights from USA to Europe, I think.
Only if she can see reason and considers asking the military help… maybe from POTUS himself (!)

Since she’s clearly not concerned about the construction cost of her chosen transport until now then the Nuclear Carrier or Sub are by far the most efficient way to go.
As long as reGretable is exhaling, a ‘carbon free’ trip cannot be achieved. In fact, there is NO way she can travel from California to Spain ‘carbon free’. The very proposal is a farcical denial of reality.

Before fossil fuels supplied the ability to mine, smelt, refine, precision machine metals and produce poly substrates for vehicle components and fuel for modern transportation, people walked or relied upon animals for transportation.
Fortunately, it is heading into Northern Hemisphere winter. You can travel on the Arctic sea ice and reach almost to Sweden.
If you run a hundred miles per day, you could reach spain in 2 months and ten days.
You’d kill horses at that rate; so riding a horse, will require almost four months. And the horse will not appreciate you.
Dog teams pulling a sled can keep up with people. But, that would only work for the Northern part of the route as you cross Canada, Arctic sea ice and hopefully get convince a Swedish/Norwegian boat to pick you up off the sea ice and drop you in Europe. Technically, you could stay on the sea ice until you reach Russia; but, they may not appreciate you invading Russia.
Then it’s all down hill to Spain.
Of course you scrutinize the labels of your clothes, coats and shoes? Meaning that you will inly wear hand harvested, hand spun, hand woven natural fibers.
Wearing microfiber and other synthetics; e.g. as most shoes are constructed from synthetics, proves to the world you are a hypocrite. Just as your trip to North America on a boat that cost millions of dollars and is almost 100% fossil fuel derived carbon, resins and plastics.
Why go to the conference anyway? She can’t possibly say anything she hasn’t said already.

I don’ t get this. Her parents and other handlers are with her. Why is she acting like she’s traveling the world all alone with no resources? Shouldn’t they be making her arrangements? How will they be getting to Spain?
I’m sure there were plans to get the sailboat back for her to go to her Nobel Prize Ceremony.

Isn’t this the ultimate lessen for an immature child . She does not care about all the pain and inconvenience she would cause to others if her requests were put in place and now she has a personal need to get to Spain and since she can’t use fossil fuels she is pouting like a spoiled child and begging someone else to get her to Spain.
What can she possibly contribute to the Spanish debacle?

$253 for a flight from LAX to Barcelona, via BWI and BOS… With all the money she’d save by flying, she could plant a LOT of trees!
The fact that she is talking about it shows that the message is getting through. Left wing environmentalists generally don’t like to walk the walk. If people get the idea that talking the talk will require that they walk the walk then there will be a lot less talking. Less talking is good because there is a great mass of people who choose their opinions based on what they think is most popular and what they think is most popular is based on what they hear a lot.
Has this child been abandoned by her parents? If yes, get her some help and prosecute them. If no, require them to sort it out.
