Putin Dismisses Climate Messiah Greta Thunberg: “Poorly Informed Teenager”

Portrait of Vladimir Putin, Source kremlin.ru, Author Russian Presidential Press and Information Office

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

h/t Breitbart; President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Greta Thunberg’s climate crusade, suggesting she has no idea of the cost of what she is demanding.

“I may disappoint you but I do not share everyone’s enthusiasm about Greta Thunberg’s speech [to the UN]. You know, the fact that young people, teenagers pay attention to the acute problems of the modern world, including ecology. That is right and very good. We need to support them. But when somebody uses children and teenagers in their own interests it deserves to be condemned.

Nobody explained to Greta that the modern world is complicated, and complex, and it changes fast. People in Africa and in many Asian countries want to be as wealthy as people in Sweden. How can it be done? By making them use solar energy which is plentiful in Africa? Has anyone explained the cost of it?

Source: Breitbart

My guess is the answer to that question is “no”.

Greta now campaigning in…Iowa.

How many tons of CO^2 has she emitted this year?

How many electoral does Iowa have?

The US Secretary of Education must insist that Greta’s visa be revoked on the grounds of missing way too much school. She needs to go back.

Iowa has six electoral votes, but plays an outsized role in selecting presidential candidates, thanks to its early caucuses. We have Iowa to thank for Jimmy Carter, for instance.

Nah, Iowas’ pretend primary plays second fiddle to New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation Primary, about 1 week later. That doesn’t stop Iowa from trying to make their pretend primary more like a real primary, but they always get blocked.

During World War 2, Russia took the leading role to stop Hitler. The unbearable situation of so many people came to an end because of Russia’s intervention.

We are urging again to Russia to stop the mess of the western world relating to CO2. After the second world war, human civilization did never face a similar crisis. So much oppression of so many people, ruining careers of so many promising scientists, leading the science of climate to a completely wrong direction by the propaganda-led false alarm. Now media, universities all are captured by that superpower with one particular agenda. Huge monetary funds are involved to organise and mobilise that false agenda and mislead people.

Putin and Russia please take the initiative! Save us all from that same Hitler-like mean attitude lead by strong will-power and controlling attitude!! Please HELP!

Actually, the USSR was allied with Hitler in starting World War II in 1939, splitting Poland between them, then invading the Baltics, Finland and other parts of Eastern Europe. Stalin only switched sides after his ally turned on him in 1941.

Indeed, if Russia hadn’t had to fight off a German invasion starting in 1941, there would be no so-called “Russian intervention” as Russia would have remained an Ally of Germany (reaping the benefit of ceded Eastern Europe territory) rather than join the other side in the war.

Mark, intervention makes it sound like Russia joined from a position of having no stake in the matter prior. The fact is Russia was, in the very beginning, on the same side as Hitler (In 1939 they divide Poland between them). Ever hear of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact? or the German–Soviet Frontier Treaty?

It wasn’t until after Germany launched a surprise attack on Russia in June of 1941 that the Russians because an enemy of the Axis and joined the Allies (or “intervened” as you euphemistically put it).

Putin speaks better on his feet than his underling servant Trump…but Trump’s reaction to Greta was more effective…Trump basically ignored her with a short bland off topic statement.

By ignoring the Climate Fraud, Trump reduces the reaction that the usual useful idiots would launch against him. All the Alarmist’s efforts haven’t moved the needle significantly so far (forget polls…just look around and see what people are doing).

Turns out that Chicken Little is not a very good political spokesman.

Let’s also look at how much carbon was generated making the Yacht she came across in and how much carbon will be generated for the owners crew to fly to the US to retrieve said yacht.

The boat served as a transport vessel for Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, who sailed across the North Atlantic Ocean from Plymouth to New York City in August 2019 without causing carbon dioxide emissions. France 24 reported that several crew would fly to New York to take the yacht back to Europe.[3] The trip was led by Boris Herrmann. Thunberg’s crossing of the Atlantic started on 14 August 2019, and concluded on 28 August.[4] The value of the boat has been estimated to be around 4 million pounds.[5]

At this time she has no idea how she is getting home. Does deportation sound reasonable?

We need to set up an exchange program for those who wish to live a low-carbon lifestyle! Let them exchange living arrangements with somebody in the Third World. I’d like to see how long the average Swede would last in South Africa! Just pack your clothes and a few personal belongings (leave your phones and computers) and you’re off to a life of excitement and adventure in Africa, Asia or South America. You can write to tell us about the wonders of a low-tech life; I’m sure many will be convinced by your example. Snarc/

It is sad that we couldn’t find a better relationship with Russia, however. After studying Russian in high school I became certain that the Russian and American peoples are very much alike; big countries with lots of ethnic diversity and natural resources. It’s our leaders that are the problem! Too bad the Clintons sold the country to the criminals and gangsters, but I guess they needed the money to set up the Global Initiative and their pay-to-play schemes. Putin may be a crook but I think he would rather work with us to rein in China than the other way around.

Tillman on USSR and World War 2 :

What you wrote is not the complete story. Actually, Stalin wanted to attack Germany through a Polish corridor and sought France and Britain’s help to convince Poland. But they only sent mid-ranking officers to meet Stalin. Poland declined and famously said ‘With the Germans, we will lose our independence; with the Russians, we will lose our soul’ (because USSR was a socialist country). Then only Stalin was forced to sign a Non-aggression pact with Hitler.

There was no ”forced’ ‘ about it. The molotov/ Ribbentrop pact of 1939 gave a supposed 10 year breathing space in an alliance that suited both countries and broke a pact the Russians had earlier signed with the French. Not only did the Russians thereby ensure that hitler would turn his attentions elsewhere (they thought) but importantly guaranteed land in eastern Europe would be ceded to Russia.

Russie supplied parts and coal to Germany and the pact was only broken by hitler in 1941 when he attacked Russia. If hitler had not attacked there was no reason why the pact would have been broken. So their undoubted bravery at Stalingrad was only necessary due to their actions earlier in the war.

My neighbour was one of those that had to bail out the Russians when arctic warming had opened up the north east passage and supplies were sent to ice free Murmansk by the royal navy. He served on one of the ships and said how unfriendly the Russians were as they didn’t like to ask for help.

Mark,

You overlook the decades of cooperation between Weimar Germany and the USSR on military technology, when the Treaty of Versailles limited indigenous German development. Please see 1922 Treaty of Rapallo and 1923 Treaty of Berlin.

Naturally, this cozy arrangement was upset by the USSR’s and Nazis’ supporting opposite sides in the Spanish Civil War. But then Britain guaranteed Polish sovereignty, which enraged Hitler, driving him into the arms of his fellow socialist dictator Stalin, previously allied with the German government from 1922-33.

Just to make sure that I understand you, you blame the victims, ie the Poles, and their desperately peace-seeking, democratic Western allies, for their brutal, murderous subjugation by the Nazis and Communists?

Is that right?

If so, may you be haunted nightly by the tens of thousands of Polish officers, the cream of the nation, its teachers, doctors, poets, musicians, scientists, murdered by Stalin, and its ordinary people, including most of the Jewish population, worked to death or exterminated by the Nazis.

“The enthusiasm for the boys and girls, who are suddenly “politically involved”, is pure hypocrisy. No one who has his senses together would have an appendectomy by a sixteen-year-old, whose parents donated him/her an anatomy atlas for Christmas. No one who wants to build a house for himself and his family would hire a sixteen-year-old architect who has built only sand castles so far. And no one who can distinguish a hedge fund from a home savings contract would trust a sixteen-year-old’s advice on his assets. But when it comes to the climate and the world in which we live, noisy children suddenly mutate into valued prophets of impending doom”
german journalist Henryk Broder recently wrote in the swiss WELTWOCHE. (translation via Google an partly myself, I hope it worked well). He could be right…
