Establishment preparing for “climate refugees” to come to Canada

From True North

In theory, anyone who feels inconvenienced by climate change could attempt to claim refugee status in Canada.

As the fear of climate change reaches hysteric levels, the government and media are suggesting that Canadians must accept “climate refugees” in the future.

The United Nations admits that a climate refugee “does not exist in international law” but many activists claim the term refers to a person who will be forced to flee their homes due to the adverse effects of the earth’s changing climate.

Millions of people around the world already live in climates that are difficult for human habitation such as deserts and mountains, yet these people could now come to Canada as refugees on that fact alone.

Though no official climate refugees exist at this moment, the idea has been floated as a serious policy by the CBC.

“With the changing climate, there will be areas in the country, previously considered unlivable, that may become more temperate. Some suggest this puts Canada in the unique position of being able to accept those who have been pushed out of their homes due to climate change-related conditions: Climate refugees,” a CBC journalist wrote in June.

Even by the most alarmist predictions, Canada’s climate would only increase by a fraction of a degree over the next few decades, making the above scenario far-fetched in this century.

Wonder why? People are still moving south as climate refugees, heading for the sun belt from the frost and rust belt.
What makes them think that people will head further north than where they moved from to head south if things warm up a bit more?

And the map has not only disappeared from the UN web site, the link to the map on Goggle cache in the Spiegel article returns a 404 error. Is it possible that Goggle decided we shouldn’t see that map?

Politics is the damnedest thing.

It flies entirely by the power of oft-repeated falsehoods, I think. Barely clothed in the rags of cherry-picked suppositions from authorities. And every rotten ‘card’ upon which the castle-of-public-policy is erected depends on the even more rotten cards below it. FICTION!

Thing is, to this “old goat”, I was either alive (and remember) or read upon times even older than my 1960s coming-to-adulthood, when the point of hard science, hard math, hard engineering and blastproof reasoning in the pölïtical sphere was to out all nutjob opinions and dismiss them at hand. Loudly, quickly, dispassionately.

To me now, it seesm that the nutjobs are running the institutions of government and public opinion. They dream of, studiously synthesize recipes for, concoct and DRINK the koolaide … and rendered loony offer ladle fulls to everyone gawking at their whimsy, to take the potion, and reveal the “truths” they’ve been missing.

So now we have Canada being prepared to admit climate refugees for a climate crisis which as of waning 2019, has yet to materialize. Anywhere. Including the Seychelles, once held out as the poster child of sea-level demise.

Well I say: let ’em have ’em.

Seriously.

It’d do the world good to have the dookey-birds of Supposed Climate Terror come to roost in ol’ Canada. She has plenty of land, plenty of oily wealth (how ironic, in context). She has a few tens of millions of almost universally hard-working folk who love their homeland, and who will fight tooth-to-nail to ensure that her values aren’t degraded. So, the dookey-birds will have to live up to the realities of a country whose LOWEST latitude is above 50° North. Where winter unofficially starts in mid October, and doesn’t show relief until mid-May. Where nominal January temperatures regularly fall below –20°C. Sure! Let ’em have at it!

Just saying,

50 degrees north?? Well, most of it, yeah, but Point Pelee (the southern-most tip of Canada) is 20 miles south of California’s northern border.

On top of that about 85% of Canadians live within 150 miles of the USA border.

Support the fight against the (recently re-threatened) Pickering Airport! See LandOverLandings and support them if you can.

“Because food is a growing concern”

Back in the day it was People or Planes. Sometimes governments just don’t give up. The blocking of a second airport for Toronto is the first time in Canadian history that citizens stopped an announced infrastructure plan. Montreal had Mirabel and Toronto “needed” a second airport too. Forty years later North Pickering is still holding onto its farmland and Montreal is still stuck with Mirabel.

Point Pelee is the farthest south point of the Canadian mainland at 41.96 degrees north. When you drive through the tunnel from Detroit to Windsor you are actually heading south. I don’t think southern Ontario has enough room for all the climate refugees, there are too many cottages.

At least the people who purchased snake oil did it in hopes of curing real ailments. Hadacol for instance advertised as a vitamin supplement had 12 percent alcohol printed on the label as a preservative. There can be no doubt the preservative was the main selling point.

The long term history of movement of peoples that paleogenetics is beginning to unravel leads to one conclusion: human groups survive if they can control their borders. Those who cannot are doomed to wash out of the gene pool.

It’s about time! They’ve sent tens of thousands of “Climate Refuges” to the US and Mexico for decades during the winter where they are known simply known as “Snow Birds.” Now Canada needs to relax their strict immigration policies and let those from he southern states and Mexico flee to Canada for the summer. It’s only fair. We just need to figure out a name for them…

The issue is not climate refuges. Ignoring the fact that the warming period is over.

Liberals live in an echo bubble where they repeat stupid things and then quote each other or poll people to see if they believe the stupid thing.

Liberals cannot handle the truth, so they perpetuating chaos where we cannot even talk about problems like caring adults.

Reasons for African refugees for example?

What are the top five reasons for Africa’s failure to industrialize?

These are corrupt countries that internally steal the money required to build roads, cannot maintain law and order as the police are corrupt and so is the legal system, cannot supply reliable electricity as everyone steals electricity so there is no money for fuel and power generation, and so on.

The Economist Nigerian example of why there is no reliable electricity in Africa.

The Nigerian Army is like a country within a country. The Nigerian Army did not pay their electrical bill. The African electrical utility after multiple warning cut power to the military. The African army, responded by kidnaping a top executive and his wife from the African utility. They rape and kill his wife and torture the man. He is no longer able to work and the electricity is turned back.

There are 1.2 billion people in Africa and Africa has the highest birth rate in the world and job creation is not keeping up with population growth.

https://www.un.org/africarenewal/magazine/august-2016/why-has-africa-failed-industrialize

Why has Africa failed to industrialize?

At no point in recent history have calls for Africa to industrialize been stronger than they have been lately. Across the continent, industrialization is arguably the most talked about subject among policymakers. So why has action on the ground failed to move the needle on this important development marker?

Industrialization has been a campaign promise across the African continent, with its acknowledged ability to bring prosperity, new jobs and better incomes for all. Yet the continent is less industrialized today than it was four decades ago. In fact, the contribution of Africa’s manufacturing sector to the continent’s gross domestic product actually declined from 12% in 1980 to 11% in 2013, where it has remained stagnant over the past few years, according to the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).

The Economist Intelligence Unit, a British business research group, reckons that Africa accounted for more than 3% of global manufacturing output in the 1970s, but this percentage has since halved. It warns that Africa’s manufacturing industry is likely to remain small throughout the remainder of this decade.

Humorous on 2 levels:

1. How many people from Canada or the Northern US move or become Migratory Humans and travel or retire to Florida or Arizona.

and

2. When the real historical 80 percent of the the time ‘normal’ climate returns, most of Canada will be under a mile of ice. So the whole direction of the migration and the thought rising temps vs the reality of lowering temps are bassackwards.

Soon I’ll be starting planting on my hundred hectares palm oil plantation located along the airport runway, on the northern shore of the Great Slave Lake (plantation is named after the lake too, GSP for short); not politically correct I know, but with lot of CO2 from aircraft taking-off acceleration and reverse trust on landing, with expecting tropical climate just around the corner, what’s not to like? /sc

I live on the West Coast of Florida. I can’t begin to try to count the number of new “refugees” coming from the Great White North, either buying, or renting.

They rarely come dressed in Bollywood clothes, like their leader, Justin the Pajama Boy, so you can only tell who they are by their license plates.

One of the craziest arguments I ever heard from a friend came when she was furious at Wisconsin Gov Walker for cancelling the rail line between Milwaukee and Madison. She said that rail line was desperately needed because climate change will make the south uninhabitable, so everyone will move north and they’ll need transportation!

And like most refugees, they’ll probably get a Canadian passport and benefits, then head back home until the #$% hits the fan again…then demand that we rescue them.

Hey, it happened before:

The “Climate Refugees” have nothing to do with climate and everything to do with Replacement Migration.

September 5, 2019 2:47 pm

Could somebody please explain to me, why will “climate refugees” want to go to Canada?

Canada (and Russia) are the countries with the MOST global warming since 1880.

====================

The competition to see which country has warmed the most since 1880, was a close one.

Canada led the field by a BIG margin, for over 135 years.

But Canada’s performance faded in the last 15 years, and Russia won by a nose.

Russia ended up with 2.7 degrees Celsius of global warming since 1880.

And Canada ended up in second place, with 2.6 degrees Celsius of global warming since 1880.

How did your country or region perform in the race?

There is only one way to find out. Click on this link:

Please note – the judges decision is final (unless GISTEMP adjusts the temperatures again).

So just a few short months ago the enlightened Minister of the Environment (and Climate Doom) Catherine McKenna declared a “””Climate Emergency””” in Canada, so why would a Climate Refugeee move from his ‘Climate Emergency’ to our Canadian ‘Climate Emergency?’ Me thinks that’s a bit silly!!!!

President Trump, I’ve just figured out a solution to our illegal alien crisis – ship them all up to Canada and have them say the’re climate refugees.
