Governor Jerry Brown and Michael Bloomberg both appeared on NBC to attack President Trump’s views on Climate Change.
Bloomberg slams Trump on climate change, which Brown likens to Nazism
Michael Bloomberg slammed Donald Trump’s inaction on climate change on Sunday and said any candidate for president in 2020 – he himself might be one – must have a plan to deal with the problem.
At the same time, retiring California governor Jerry Brown likened the fight against climate change to the fight against Nazism during the second world war, saying: “We have an enemy … perhaps very much devastating in a similar way.”
Both men appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press. The billionaire former New York mayor said: “It would be a lot more helpful if we had a climate champion rather than a climate denier in the White House.
“You know, I’ve always thought Trump has a right to his opinions. But he doesn’t have a right to his own facts.”
A vocal critic of the coal industry, Bloomberg, whose fortune is estimated at $40bn and who spent $100m on his last mayoral race, has said he plans to make climate change a leading issue in the 2020 race, whether or not he runs.
“Any candidate for federal office better darn well have a plan to deal with the problem that the Trump science advisers say could, basically, end this world,” he said. “I can tell you one thing, I don’t know whether I’m going to run or not, but I will be out there demanding that anybody that’s running has a plan.”

By bringing in a reference to Nazis, Brown, in fact, pays tribute to Nazis for being the evil standard by which he measures things. Without the Nazis, he would not have this standard. By adopting this standard, he is reinforcing Nazis in the cultural mind.
Since the whole thing is a fantasy, I think that they should be bringing in references to Godzilla or Zombies or Space Aliens, which are horrors that have no reality. The latter one particularly fits Jerry Brown.

Does this mean they are giving up on the other spending promotional comparisons like moonshot, Great Society, Marshall Plan, and Shovel Ready Stimulus? Or is this the new McCarthyism?
Arguing about how much it has warmed since 1850 and/or how much it is going to warm in the next X years is stupid. Warming is not a problem. We are in the middle of an ICE AGE people. You can’t find a single geologist or paleo-whatever that will claim otherwise. If nothing changes, the ice sheets will return and that could very well be the end of our civilization. In the mean time, anything that increases the temperature of the planet is good. We may not be able to stop the coming ice, but maybe we can forestall it long enough to develop technologies that will allow us to survive it and/or escape from it. This is what we need to focus on; everything else is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

B & B read many alarmist-group newsletters (which groups have a vested interest in stoking alarm as it gooses readers donations) and assume what they read is true, and that the debenkings of caricatured or non-nuanced skeptical claims that they read there are also true.
Bloomberg was Mayor of NYC for 3 terms. Pretty much unraveled Guliani’s good work over time. DeBlasio is finally putting the nail in the coffin while Cuomo tap dance on it along with the rest of the state. Millions of New Yorkers state wide are leaving as soon as they can.
I saw an in depth report on Jerry Brown on Spokane TV. He claimed that he had taken measures to control Climate Change.
What is on about now? I thought he already had it under control.

I am confused. Does Eugenics simply say that there are too many people on the planet, to which I would say yes, as the food supply in certain counties is not sufficient for them, Re. Rev Mathas, but then the question is who do we think should be removed and how.
If its a case of changing the economy of a country the providing of cheap energy, so that finally the State can look after the elderly people, then that removes the need to have a large population to do that.
The Western countries have done that, so it can be done, but then we have the Greens apparently against the use by the undeveloped countries having cheap energy, so are they actually carrying out eugenics by using the smokescreen of Climate Change. ?

Dr. Kate Marvel was the single “official” scientist presented on last Sunday’s NBC show Meet the Press. Here is what Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Marvel ) states about here career: “Marvel’s current research centers on climate modeling to better predict how much the Earth’s temperature will rise rise in the future.”
Well, she certainly has her work cut out for her, doesn’t she? Oh, and Wikipedia continues: “She is a regular contributor to Scientific American with her column ‘Hot Planet’.” Objective scientist, eh?
Of course, it’s been a very long time since anyone asserted that NBS strives for objectivity in its “news” reporting.
This show was pretty much as one-sided on a “discussion” topic as it can get . . . there was nobody to argue against the “climate change” meme that was the topic for almost the entire duration of the show.
I watched the show from start to end, and all the “panelists”, as well as Governors Bloomberg and Brown, and—most egregiously—show moderator Chuck Todd, freely and repeatedly threw around the term “climate change” without ever specifically defining for the audience what it means (or what they think it means). By the end of the show, I was ready to kick my foot through the LCD display (fortunately, much safer than the good ol’ days of kicking in the CRT to cause a violent vacuum implosion).

My first reaction to anything Governor Brown says is: “His hearts in the right place, he’s just been brainwashed.” But after further reflection, I realize that can’t be true because to be “brainwashed” you must first have a brain.
Global warming is like accelerating sea level rise, it hasn’t happened yet.
The most recent sea level measurements along the California coast are lower than the measurements taken in the late 1990s. California has had a lull in the sea level assault for two decades, yet elected officials haven’t noticed.
It is more of a challenge to adjust the “sea level” than the temperatures. But as soon as it gets traction as being a problem for “The Cause”, they will find a way to lower the past, and increase the present.

I completely and wholeheartedly agree with this, the problem is that most people don`t know the difference between an opinion and a fact.
And 3X water vapor feedback is an opinion, not backed by facts.

They think a physically undetectable change in temperature ANOMALY of approximately 0.1*C per DECADE, is the similar to fighting armed nations dedicated to your destruction????
I openly question the intelligence of anyone that thinks that. Let alone thinks they can get a majority of voters to think that. Anyone living North of the Mason-Dixon that has been alive for more than 30 years, knows it is complete BS. And there does not seem to be much appetite for this bizarre craziness in the South either.
I would be shocked if 10% of Americans really think those two radically different situations can be rationally equated. I know there are the zealots who just spout the line of the week. But Climate Change and fighting the Nazis??????
It takes a strange interpretation of reality, that is not consistent with a rational thought process, to get on national TV and spout complete and utter nonsense. Maybe these guys have determined they are never going to run for Presidente, because they are too nutty to even show up in Iowa. So they are taking their shots, before they get fitted for a padded “safe space”.
