Germany fails to meet EU climate targets, will get billed billions

From Focus Magazin (h/t to GWPF)

The failure to meet European Union climate targets will cost Germany billions. According to a report, the German deficit means the government will have to buy CO2 certificates from Eastern Europe for two billion euros.

While Germany is missing its climate target by just under three percent, countries such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovakia and Hungary are doing significantly better, according to a report by Wirtschaftswoche.

Apparently Berlin is already preparing to make the payments. A spokesman for Federal Environment Minister Svenja Schulze (SPD) told “Wirtschaftswoche”: “We would rather invest the money in climate protection and the modernization of the infrastructure in Germany.”

What scares me is that this might give rise to an authotitarion leader who wins an election by promising to free Germany from the shackles of the Versailles Paris Accord reparations. We all know what happened last time around.

That’s not quite the way the EU works, Anthony. But not far off.
Rules/laws tend to regarded as advice, not something to be obeyed. Once found in serious breach of the advice, nations tend to drag it out over several years, ignoring admonitions until they reach the highest levels of the bureaucracy…
…By which time, the rules have been changed. Germany generally gets what Germany wants and so, to a lesser extent, does France. You can guess what the rest are told. Imagine a United States where California and Texas were in cahoots to game the system, but without the constitutional safeguards of the Senate.

The money would be better spent repairing the wreckage that the communists and the Reich left in East Germany.

No problem, just rescind the removal of the 5.5% unificatation tax which the just voted out.

“The tax is a controversial 5.5 percent levy on income, withholding, and corporate tax that’s been used to bolster infrastructure in the formerly communist East German states.”

Actually it’s 5.5% on income tax.

Just don’t spend the money on climate re-education camps or holding camps for those who don’t sign the papers.

Anthony is possibly correct. The germans can tell the EU to eff off and there is very little the EU would want to do about it.

If germany leaves the EU then the game is finished. The cozy little gravy train ride ends right there. No pensions, no jobs.

Exactly. If Germany departed from the EU, the EU would (finally) because nothing more than a club, really.

So they met 97% of the target? Hmmm…that is some tasty irony there.

The Government Printing Works of Eastern Europe will be getting ready, even now, to print a sea of CO2 certificates attesting to the fact that the Global Warming – Climate Change is continuing in good shape.

They still have not paid billions in reparations from their ’35-’45 fines, guess EUtards will just have to get in line.

Perhaps the sollution to Germanies problems would be for them to just print some nice looking Green money. Then pay it to whom ever is the paymaster of the Paris summet. Problem solved.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer country, one who advocated much of this stupidity to begin with. But it will probably get paid if that East German commie leader Chancellor Merkel is still in power. It takes a few generations to get that evil Marxism out of your blood.

Golly! I think they made their target. In this era of adjusting data, the emissions target shouldn’t be a problem. Besides, aren’t there a ton of fake carbon credits on the market? And then there are those that are excluded from the carbon emission counts, They can adjust the data to show that emissions were much higher in the past so that the percentage of decrease is on target. There, fixed! ….. Much like saying wind and solar are competitive with fossil fuels. It works so well.
See this is how it works: When it’s cold go on vacation someplace warm to avoid paying an outrageous utility bill, and when it’s hot, go some place cool. The ultimate climate refugee. I wonder if a select few ‘peer reviewed’ climate refugees qualify for a special status to receive compensation from the UN to cover their cost of going from place to place…. ( by private jet of course)

What is with some people …………..

DRONES – the students at University of Texas proved to disbelieving FBI agents – drones can be hacked & hijacked.
The first time you send it on a mission could be the last time you ever see it again “here’s looking at you kid”
Tony Abbott spent $3 billion & Malcolm Turnbull spent $6 billion – in full knowledge.

Facial Recognition – all it will take is a cosmetic touch up at the local skin clinic & they will mistake you for someone else.

Machine Learning – let loose it can work it’s way throughout the global system – what is out there to stop it ?? one day it will work out that we are the real threat to the planet & terminate us by shutting down the system.

We have not been to the moon yet – the money has been spent though – the gazillions that it would have taken – if it were possible.

We choose to live the lie.
What is wrong with us man !!

What I really wanted to say – but got carried away – is this.
The European Union is BROKE.
Therefore Germany is also broke.
It’s like signing up for a gym subscription knowing you have no hope of ever coming up with the cash to pay for it.
For some people – the talking of a thing is everything – there is nothing else.

WOLF STREET – Don Quijones has written several articles about the DIGITAL BANK ROBBERS who feasted on Latin banks – to digital bank cockups that have cost us – we the people – atms now too expensive to run are being decommissioned along with bank branch closures.
Dear God in Heaven don’t let them take the cash out of the system – for we will surely perish – for they do not have our backs.
Is it all really just a house of cards ??
Or a nightmare on our street.
