UN climate chief Christiana Figueres has stated that Australia must stop mining coal.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald;
Speaking at a conference in Melbourne on Wednesday, Christiana Figueres drew a parallel between Australia and the oil kingdom [Saudi Arabia] as countries that would need to diversify their economies as the world grapples with global warming.
…
Ms Figueres said ultimately Australia would have to move away from coal for environmental reasons and changes in global economic patterns. She said nobody was saying this would have to happen overnight, but the transition should be orderly, gradual and progressive.
‘”The science is very clear, there is no space for any new coal,” she said.
Ms Figures doesn’t have any specific advice about how Australia should fill the gigantic hole in her finances, which decommissioning the coal mining industry would create. Perhaps Ms Figures feels her job is simply to give us directives, to tell us what must be. The responsibility, the details of how her directives will be implemented, is someone elses problem.
“You represent a huge potential to lead the world into a very healthy economic diversification path. You haven’t figured out how to do that yet but that, my friends, is your homework.”

Australia should counter the UN with its own carbon-offset proposal: “We’ll stop mining coal when you stop shoveling methane-rich BS.”
I suppose what upsets me is how the UN fancies itself as a government. It isn’t. Not one single member of the UN was elected by the people. It is a diplomatic organization, not a legislative body. Our representative is called “Ambassador to the UN”. What bothers me so much is how so many people have come to view the UN as some sort of body promulgating “international law” and regulations when not one single member of that body was elected by us nor can they be removed by us. They are responsible to nobody. The UN is exactly the sort of thing that many people have given their lives to prevent.

I’ve already read this message:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-32639813
“Mr Newman chairs Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s Business Advisory Council and is a former chairperson of the Australian Stock Exchange.
He wrote in an opinion article for The Australian newspaper on Friday: “It’s a well-kept secret, but 95% of the climate models we are told prove the link between human CO2 emissions and catastrophic global warming have been found, after nearly two decades of temperature stasis, to be in error.””
It’s all about money.
Christine Figures thinks the Chinese communist system is ideal to implement global warming policies. She has also indicated that steps are now in progress to replace the economic model of the last 150 years i.e. capitalism. I could go on about this evil thinking woman but I won’t.
If the world caves in to the United Nations and its new world order, in which AGENDA 21 must be implemented, then we will have kissed goodbye to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity as the arrogant, ambitious and unscrupulous ideology of environmentalism reigns supreme.
Come December 2015 in Paris, it is vitally important that western democracies demonstrate that democracy must reign supreme, capitalism must not be destroyed, the market economy must always exist and wealth generation is vital for the benefit of mankind.

huh? Isn’t coal gaia’s solar power storage system? Coal also happens to be a very low cost supply of electrical power and is plentiful. These UN people must be from a different planet……
