Many thought the media’s focus on the ‘Polar Vortex’ this winter was pretty stupid, well another kind of similarly stupid vortex is about to reappear again. All we can hope is that it dies and never comes back after this episode.

The first one was dumb enough. But a second one is industrial strength weapons grade stupid.
“A freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites – and only Fin and April can save the Big Apple.”
Do. Not. Watch.
Hopefully the SyFy channel will get the message this time and this thing will be dead forever.

“Curse you, Bryan A.!!! I can’t stop thinking about the Squidicane!”
Then replace it with ‘Octophoons.’
Then move on to Cephaclones.
Judd Hirsh? Judd Hirsh? Didn’t he used to be somebody normal?
From Taxi to Sharknado, now that’s some trip. Maybe he needs the money for his retirement home.
Look back to previous posts. I predicted this.
We thoroughly enjoyed the first Sharknado… certainly one of the very best SyFy “Originals” ever. If you ever get the chance to view it, SyFy’s “Big Ass Spiders” is also a great flick, poking humor at itself, within itself, as did Sharknado. We will definitely be tuned in to Sharknado: the sequel! As others above have mentioned, I enjoy seeing sharknados tied into AGW/ACC… I dare say, they most certainly deserve each other given similar levels of dubious science! 😉
It strikes me that the headline for this post would work equally well for the previous post …
Al is missing his next Nobel Globull Prize unless he can get in on the threequel. Would love to see a shark try to bite that woodenhead.
I’ll check Netflix. It may already be there.
Oh. And Al. Just in case you are reading this: The Shark movies are a hoax!!!! Not real! Just made up stuff! An imaginary tale! The temperature data and hurricains that went into making these shark movies were totally made up! I knew you would want to know…just in case.
I also agree with Pamela Gray. Tell the public to see it!
My previous comments about Sharknado 1…

Sharknado stopped by greenhouse gas!
Spoiler alert!
I happened to watch the end of Sharknado. Not a great film but if anybody else is planning to watch here’s how it ends.
The tornado full of sharks is stopped when a Hummer full of explosives is driven into the tornado. Just before the driver jumps out of the Hummer,
he pushes the nitrous oxide button to accelerate the vehicle into the swirling shark filled tornado. The Hummer explodes, stopping the tornado.
Thank you nitrous oxide! Without this greenhouse gas, the Hummer could not have accelerated enough to get into the tornado,
and the sharknado would have continued dropping sharks on the city, and people would have continued to be devoured.
Be afraid, be very afraid:

Don’t worry! Soon they’ll start to generate remakes of all of the non realistic disaster movies …
“Hopefully the SyFy channel will get the message this time and this thing will be dead forever.”
‘Fraid not. With a few accidental exceptions, SyFy specializes in cr@p that would make Ed Wood hang his head in shame.
Clearly the producers are hoping to create this generation’s Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
This movie is no good. Where are the laser beams. I want my sharks with frickin laser beams.
(shout out to Dr Evil)
Maybe it was after “Support Your Local Sheriff”, but I read somewhere that when spoofs of a serious genre become more popular then the serious, the serious genre is dead. (How may westerns are on prime-time TV now?)
I hope Hollywood makes more spoofs of GAGW.
(Did I just set a record for my own typos?8-)
Make that:

So will Sharknado 4’s title be “Sushi’s Revenge!”?

“Of course, nothing will ever top the 2012 movie where the world was ending, with the possible exception of Avatar, where an American* (natch) saves a whole ecosystem the old-fashioned way: By winning a fistfight with the bad guy.” Played by an Australian 🙂
We will not hold that against the Aussies. 😉
The Syfy channel is bringing back the “B” grade movie complete with bad CGI. They are mass producing this stuff by the truck-load.
No-one is forcing anyone to watch it.
The sequels are rarely as good as the original. I agree, Sharknado will be a tough act to follow. Megladon vs Mech-ladon came close, but fell short.
Played by an Australian 🙂
Speaking of Australians, was that stingray attack on Steve Irwin caused by global warming? I loved Steve Irwin. Dang that global warming.
Glad you liked Steve Irwin, Jake. Many Australians didn’t. We do say “crikey”, just not anywhere near that often. All the same, his death was a sad loss, although he was a “big risk-taker” and being speared through the heart by a stingray was a wimpy way to go, albeit extraordinary.

You forgot the chainsaw! How could you forget the chainsaw?
I didn’t see the first one, and wouldn’t have known about the second one if you hadn’t mentioned it.
Thanks for nothing!
😉
The very few times I saw Irwin’s shows, I was less than impressed. Most of the situations seemed contrived (some were so obviously setup), and felt they bordered on animal abuse. I certainly don’t wish death on anyone (well I guess that’s not strictly true), but I felt he did more harm than good. Getting in an animal’s face doesn’t show you how the animal acts in nature, it only shows you how the animal acts when an obnoxious prat gets in their face. The same goes for any of the other copycats, such as Jeff Corwin.
I’m planning a Sharknado party.
