Climate rent a protest?

People send me stuff. Here’s a press release from a PR firm that I really don’t understand. Why are LGBTQ activists joining in a climate protest against Google? The only reason I can think of is that based on their past performance, “Forecast the Facts” couldn’t find enough warm bodies to hold a protest. I had to laugh at the tagline.

TUESDAY: Google Faces Protests Over ALEC Ties

Progressives to Google: Don’t Be Evil, Stop Funding Right Wing Extremists

Mountain View, CA — Today, dozens of climate and LGBTQ activists will protest outside of Google HQ to demand the tech giant cut ties with the extreme right wing American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). ALEC is one of the most notorious  and influential peddlers of climate denial in the country.

What: Rally against Google funding climate denial and right wing-extremism in the form of ALEC

Who: Dozens of climate and LGBTQ rights activists. The event and campaign are being organized by Forecast the Facts, Courage Campaign, and SierraRise.

Where: Google Headquarters, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway. Mountain View, CA 94043

When: 2:30pm Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014

Visuals: Dozens of people with a 3’x8′ banner reading “Google: Don’t Fund Evil” and signs with the same message.

Right now, state legislatures in Arizona, Oklahoma, and Colorado are considering bills developed by ALEC to force public schools to teach children climate denial.

Forecast the Facts is a membership organization that seeks to ensure that Americans receive accurate information about climate change from the media, politicians, and corporations.

I had to laugh at the tagline, because as we all know, former Climate Progress writer and now “Forecast the Facts” activist in charge Brad Johnson is all about “accuracy”:

In response to M Courtney and Old England – mayhap the Councillor was correct (in a way). The head of the Environment Agency spent the flood defence money on Gay rights causes (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2560300/Why-did-floods-agency-spend-hundreds-equali-tea-gay-awareness-mugs-30-000-gay-pride-marches-As-Britain-counts-cost-shoddy-defences-reveal-bizarre-spending-quango-bosses.html)

So exactly how much is google giving and to whom? Thier search result have a reputation of being warning. I have tried “Climate change” today and not found “deniers” on the first three pages.

Standard progressive tactic.
Paid performers, tame media and no independent witnesses.
The fake crowd theme has been a standard of the MSM “News” for years, careful camera shots and strategic editing to make 30 people look like hundreds, same clothes and faces a dozen times.
Exaggerated crowd numbers and deliberate failure to cover real events.
The mass produced signs, same faces at these performance art sessions.
Some of the best canadian TV of late has been Sun TV talking head, Ezra Levant, actually interviewing protesters.
What an eye-opener.
Clueless, useless and stunned do not cover it.
Yet our MSM give these zeros a platform, repeat their talking points, never even ask the obvious.
We have persons who turn up, on camera, at protests across Canada days apart.
None of our Presstitutes ask; How can you afford to be here?
It is not cheap, flying city to city, staying in 5 star hotels, yet these professional protesters do it all year.

For the past few years in Toronto, the Gay Pride parade has had in issue with a group that wants to march in protest against Israel. No, I don’t get the connection either, and yes, it is pointed out to them that in all of the Middle East, there is precisely one Gay Pride parade, and it is held in Israel..

http://forecastthefacts.org/press/releases/2013/12/6/dont-fund-evil-225000-americans-tell-google-quit-a/
It says they delivered more than 225,000 petition signatures to Google’s representatives. But if you click on the link to the petition
http://act.forecastthefacts.org/sign/google_stop_funding_alec/
it says 35,290 have signed and their goal is 40,000. Some cool math going on there

Not so strange bedfellows: genre and climate theories are the pillars of the UN agenda 21 totalitarian power grab.

Is there a regressive political group one can join in protest to the existence of progressives ?

Yup, Tom Rude, 9:38, these sad sacks apparently fail to realize that Google is hugely into global warming alarmism. They’ve gone internecine, and are acting like excited cats stuck in a sack together.

Probably the same math that takes the approximate 1C or so direct increase in global temps from a doubling of CO2 and turns it into catastrophic 3C, 5C, 7C, etc. The usual multiplier effect. I didn’t realize it was applicable outside climastrology.

From the looks of it, ALEC is a standard Right Wing group. By Evil, the protesters mean that ALEC doesn’t support the Progressive agenda. From what I can see, Google’s “Support” of ALEC is limited to using ALEC to try to get laws that will better support Google’s buisness (like all companies do).

Speaking of rent-a-activist in the SF bay area…

I found this a few weeks back after a colleague was complaining about greenpeace in and around San Jose being useful idiots.
If you have a weak constitution don’t look at the link.

When the organisation which handles the publicity for a news item becomes the news item itself then they have failed and tend to disappear pretty soon after.

Tell me about it.
I got a frantic call from my mother when I was in college right after the Kent State Riots. National Television (except in the state my Univ was in ) had “Film Coverage” of the “Massive Riots” at my school. Only one problem. I was on campus from 7:30 am till 5:30 pm criss crossing the location of the supposed riot and never saw a thing. The entire riot was made up out of whole cloth.
What is really hysterical is it was an Ag/Eng university and very very very conservative. About the only ruckus I ever saw was when some ROTC jocks caught a hippy and gave him a haircut.
I never believed the MSM after that and soon stopped watching TV for good shortly there after.

This is not surprising, if you understand our opponents.
This is not a “science” problem or issue.
This is a cultural/political issue.
Our opponents in the AGW fight are Politically Correct Progressives.
“Political Correctness” is a belief system based on the fundamental tenet: “America is a racist, sexist, foreigner-hating, imperialist, capitalist hell-hole. And it must be changed.”
That is what our opponents believe. In short, PC-Progs are “anti-Traditional-America.”
They are only “for” something if it is against traditional American values, beliefs, or laws.
For clarification, and references to research and analysis, here’s a short video:
http://my.brainshark.com/Willing-Accomplices-Why-do-Progressives-Hate-America-121281394
Once you understand this, we won’t waste time wondering why gays would support AGW protests.
They are both interest groups in the PC-Progs’ war on Normal-America.
Hope that helps.

Speaking of padding the numbers (I may have told this story here before), my dad had to run an errand on his lunch hour. He crossed in front of an anti-Vietnam war march, and crossed back behind it. He calculated that had they really had the 10,000 marchers reported, he would have been well over an hour late back to work, instead of being easily on time.

Greenpeace is funded by some surprising foundations.
http://www.activistcash.com/organizations/131-greenpeace/#collapseThree
Note that the New York Times Foundations is one of the donors as is the Joyce Foundation. Remember the Joyce foundation, Obama and Al Gore were all connected to the Chicago Carbon Exchange. Three of the Rockefeller foundations are donors too. aka as dirty Standard Oil Money.
J. P. Morgan Charitable Trust is another eyebrow raiser.
ALSO:
The Packard Foundation (half of Hewlett-Packard)
Educational Foundation of America (co-founder of textbook publisher Prentice-Hall)
Energy Foundation “…a “project” of the Trust For Public Land. Its original $20 million endowment (in 1991) came from the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.”
Liberty Hill Foundation “… founded in 1976 by Larry Janss, Anne Mendel, Win McCormack and Sarah Pillsbury. The foundation’s stated purpose involves social engineering and leveling “class inequality.”
John Merck Fund (f Merck Pharmaceuticals )
Quite a bit of amusing reading in that list considering Greenpeace is ‘Against” mega-corporations. snicker.

Tommy Malthus would be covertly pleased. He necessarily (being an anglican minister) saw “vice” as a bad thing, but definitely saw it as a factor in limiting population.
