I’m really disappointed that I didn’t get the “fossil of the day” award. Watch the presentation at COP16 and get some popcorn.
I wonder if the producers of Jurrasic Park gave permission to licensed use of the logo, of if they are just scofflaws?

Paganism at its finest.
The RED color of the flags was most appropriate. I am surprised though that I did not see a Watermelon somewhere in the background.
I get a kick out of how much petroleum based products are utilized in this video… the clothes on their backs, the shoes on their feet, the trophies in their hands, the wee plastic flags, the microphone they’re talking into, the red carpeting on the podium, the ink and paint used to make their jurassic logo, the cameras used to record this event, and so on and so on and so on.
Not to mention the fact that it’s pretty safe to assume none of them paddled and canoed their way down to Cancun to present their little skit of hypocrisy.
Me thinks the heretics doth protest too much.
If any of them get kidnapped, we can redeem them with a boatload of carbon credits…
I hope someone is monitoring the total carbon footprint of the delegates at Cancun for release on its last day.

Shown more clearly in their annual report with Suzuki, Greenpeace, Oxfam, Sierra Club etc drones on their board. They get $431k from NGOs, $118k from ‘foundations’ and only $30k from individual donors, so usual greewash financing to help spread the right words to the faithful. Out of $600k in revenues, only 0.2% is spent on research and communications, so no suprise they rehash and proseltise on behalf of their sponsors rather than doing anything particularly original.
Medieval twats caught up in a religious ceremony complete with choir, hymns and preaching. “Oh the pain, the pain”
Picking on Canada again, There’s definitly plagiarism at it’s worst in that!
Good thing these concerned, serious people didn’t fly all the way to Cancun to engage in utterly frivolous nonsense.
So it’s a party for young, dumb, unemployed activists and celebrity wannabees. Missing: Somber scientific presentation and sorrow for the HORROR that surely awaits us all. Remarkably happy group of doomsayers.
I long suspected that these young ecowhores are the children of hippies from the 60’s 70’s.
A grant to study their geneology would be great. (confirmation bias I know)
Really ! why bother giving a second rate drama group the time of day.. must have been a very sssslllllooooowwwww news day.
Looks like a sad attempt at a folk rock band.
Canada?! Really? You could whip up a big batch of Jim Jones Kool-Aid and feed it to the whole country and the climate wouldn’t even twitch. Well, maybe the methane given off by the rotting corpses might blip the NH temps by .01C. Of course, these are the same folks that are always telling us that they are the smart ones, who we should all shut up and obey, if we know what’s good for us.
Someone suggested that these guys are just trying to get laid, but scanning the crowd it would seem, while you might not be able to find easier targets of opportunity elsewhere, you’d certainly be able to locate more attractive possibilities almost anywhere
Yes those retired oilmen who are funding buildings and institutes so some PhD student from there can spend his time on blogs like deepclimate…
Those girls could do with a bit more exercise or in the words of Brian from Family guy “Put down the Fork!” – and they’re hippies?
A man under the age of 21 who is not a socialist has no heart. A man over the age of 21 who is still a socialist has no head.
It’s not the kids I worry about but our politicians and senior ‘scientists’, e.g. Huhne and Martin Rees (astronomer royal).
Makes me proud to be Canadian!
To his credit the artist involved with writing 350 in the outback did reply back. Although given that they used earth movers to put the 350 down, it is part of a larger bush regeneration project as the immediate area is ‘degraded’ (I really don’t like that word as a label after Indonesia) – so although I do not agree with the message, this should result in a larger good to the local environment. Just wished they had found a less environmentally disruptive way to put their message across.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane, to last year’s COP-15: click

“Sweden braces for record freeze
Stockholm is forecast to experience its coldest seasonal temperatures for over 100 years this week as winter weather takes hold of the country, according to the Swedish Meteorological Institute (SMHI).
Temperatures across the country are expected to drop to record lows for the first week of December, with the exception of the far north, with averages coming in 7-10 degrees Celsius below normal.
Stockholm registered -11 degrees Celsius at the weekend, the coldest November temperature since 1965 and the mercury is set to plunge further on Wednesday and Thursday, dropping as low as -15.
“It is far below average temperatures, which usually oscillate around zero at this time of the year,” said Alexandra Ohlsson, a meteorologist with SMHI.”

I expect that most taxpayers who funded this are thinking ‘is there any way we could send them further and more permanently away?’
