i constantly suggest this webpage to those who want to hear the other side as the exhaustive webpage that puts forth any new studies that show the other side. i add icecap too, but i say this one first and tell them that watts will keep you up on anything important.

this site is a beacon in the darkness.
Wayne and others. I just had a walk out the 1st fairway in Carnoustie – about 300 yards (where my drive would land). It is pure perma frost. The courses shut now for 3 weeks. The longest closure in my 30 years playing here.
Am reduced to playing golf on the computer.
A happy and prosperous 2010 to all and hope the hockey stick blade just gets longer.

The last year has been quite a ride, Congratulations for a job well done, and a thank you to all that participated. A well run blog as successful at yours is also a compliment to all the fine people that contribute and share their knowledge and questions for the mutual benefit of all.
In the process you have created an object lesson on how “constructive” blogs should be run, and your success is an honestly earned reward.
Thanks for your efforts and best wishes for the coming year.

Fantastic! Congratulations to you and your team plus your readers. We must encourage our children to “twitter” and “facebook” their friends about WUWT. A really simple summary somewhere at the top of the blog might be an idea for those visiting for the first time.
‘Pingo’ suggested a UK surface station project. I would certainly take part as, I’m sure, would others.

Mike Atkins is correct: 10 years is a decade, and not 9. Remember the end of 1999 when we celebrated the new millenium?

It is all interconnected.
The msm lies.
The two party evil money cult in Washington D.C..
The thing that happed of Los Alamos lab.
The “The Security System Worked” on Christmas day.
The “Health Care Ledg. will save money.”
The fact that John F. Kerry is in the U.S. Senate a proven liar, fake awards in a Combat Zone.
The lust for open borders for wage slaves.
The fact Al Gore in not arrested for his fraud CO2 trading con game.
The fact you can no longer trust what your own eyes.
They lie.
That must end.
It is all from that one thing.
Lies.
It looks like the beginning of solar cycle 20 and I hope that the high activity of that and following cycles will push up the amount of visitor’s to Anthony’s website. This all based on the inertia of solar influence on earth and inhabitants.

I think the first bit of that curve can be explained by climate-gate bringing in a lot of extra attention. But the retention and continued growth and interest in the blog speaks highly of the quality of product being provided here on a consistent daily basis.
Well deserved success indeed.

Congratulations again to Anthony and all the mods.
Happy New Year to all from frigid Minnesota where we’re still hoping for just a little global warming. Wind chills tonight forecast to be -30F.
Anthony:
Congratulations. A simple LINEAR calculation shows that in a year you will reach 50,000,000 people.
Since 70,000,000 are children.
70,000,000 are retired adults.
12,000,000 are illegal aliens.
And 90,000,000 don’t vote.
You obviously are reaching 60% of the people who vote, and count.
This could mean a LOT for the Nov. Elections.
Heh Heh Heh!
PS: Early NYD syndrome: 50 Million per year…
More coffee, please..!

Has this hockeystick been peer reviewed? No “Mike’s Nature Trick” involved? Congratulations Anthony, and best wishes for an even more successful New Year!
Now, it is time to toss another log on the fire and try and stave off some of this global warming. Baby, it’s cold outside!

@ur momisugly Mike Atkins (03:08:09) : Sorry to be picky, but is it a new decade? What was the year after 1 BC?
It was year 1 AD–there was no year 0. So technically, the new decade doesn’t start until January 1, 2011.
