I keep coming back here and reading this site most days. I have to admit I haven’t done my bit to change the tide of global warming policy, but I sure am glad this site exists.
I figure the big jump in the last couple months is the Obama administration officials trying to find holes in your science.

Impressive. But I would like to know how WUWT intends to deal with the CHIE?? Computer Heat Island Effect has seen a steep rise due in part to the increased number of hours spent at online sites such as WattsUp. Not only has this put potentially catastrophic demands on the global grid – it has raised the quantifiable global CHIE T.
While we cannot argue with success, we would like to know what precautions WUWT is taking to contain this growing issue?? Hockey sticks don’t lie. The evidence is right there at the top of this post.
Just how happy can a new year be with this hanging over our heads?

Thanks to WUWT and the Surface Station Survey for wonderful grassroots science and reporting done without major funding;
Thanks to the many amazing and interesting posters from many countries who take the time to inform us and make us laugh;
Thanks to Lord C. Monckton, for making a lightning rod of himself;
And many many thanks to the person who leaked the emails. I am sure I will tell my grandchildren about you and your heroic act, if I am so fortunate to have them.
And if we are vigilant, our grandchildren will have plenty of diverse, inexpensive energy sources and low, low taxes! Now that’s a cheerful thought to start a new year. 🙂

This really is an astounding phenomenon and it the ultimate demonstration, today, of how the Internet has enabled a massive real time participation in analysis and dialogue worldwide.
And make no mistake about it the level of disdain for it all by the team has increased proportionately. Their hate hockey stick is identical.
As for the blog awards?
Perhaps the Team gave it the peer review treatment and merely stopped it from being overrun by the anti-science cabal?
I still would like to see a global map with visitor locations plotted. Is there a way to do such a thing?

If it doesn’t, it would merely reflect that the Weblog Awards have gone the route of the Academy Awards: i.e. lost touch with reality and the will of the people due to political correctness. The failure to get more richly-deserved recognition would not diminish the importance of this site or the superiority of most of its contributors (I do not include myself in this superior category – I am in awe of the swift and decisive analytical criticism of bogus science that I see from those who post here).
A question: could Richard North get around British libel laws by publishing on an American website? What a diabolical government the Brits have saddled themselves with: I think they took a look at Jean Chretien’s Canada (Trudeaupean Charter of Human Rights) and figured out how to one-up the Canadian political correctness quotient. In Germany it’s even worse: you have to PAY lawyers that send you cease&desist letters (“Abmahnung” in german) or SUE them (at your own risk). Really. What Anthony or Richard North are doing would be impossible in germany.

A question for the US citizens – why doesn’t one of you make a citizen’s arrest, next time he makes an appearance – he’s committing fraud, by knowingly deceiving the public to further his vested interests in companies that stand to reap huge windfalls if this whole cap-and-trade scheme is globally implemented.
