December 7th, 2009…a day that will live in hypocrisy

It will be remembered as the day the greens bombed Copenhagen with limousines.

Picture updated at 12:30PM – Anthony

From the Telegraph, the tale of elitist excess begins:

On a normal day, Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen’s biggest limousine company, says her firm has twelve vehicles on the road. During the “summit to save the world”, which opens here tomorrow, she will have 200. “We thought they were not going to have many cars, due to it being a climate convention,” she says. “But it seems that somebody last week looked at the weather report.”

Ms Jorgensen reckons that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen next week has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up on Thursday and ordered another 42. “We haven’t got enough limos in the country to fulfil the demand,” she says. “We’re having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden.”

And the total number of electric cars or hybrids among that number? “Five,” says Ms Jorgensen. “The government has some alternative fuel cars but the rest will be petrol or diesel. We don’t have any hybrids in Denmark, unfortunately, due to the extreme taxes on those cars. It makes no sense at all, but it’s very Danish.”

But wait, there’s more!

The airport says it is expecting up to 140 extra private jets during the peak period alone, so far over its capacity that the planes will have to fly off to regional airports – or to Sweden – to park, returning to Copenhagen to pick up their VIP passengers.

As well 15,000 delegates and officials, 5,000 journalists and 98 world leaders, the Danish capital will be blessed by the presence of Leonardo DiCaprio, Daryl Hannah, Helena Christensen, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Prince Charles. A Republican US senator, Jim Inhofe, is jetting in at the head of an anti-climate-change “Truth Squad.” The top hotels – all fully booked at £650 a night – are readying their Climate Convention menus of (no doubt sustainable) scallops, foie gras and sculpted caviar wedges.

Yep, that’s the word for it, hypocracy! I hope that they (those that have them of course – I am not sure what part of the female anatomy would equate so I won’t go there), freeze their little nuts off. I dare say that there will be plenty more where this comes from over the next few days.
I note that over the weekend from several little snippets of news, the NOO Labour Environmental Public Broadcasting Corporation, or BBC as it is better known, has been doing its straw man task of commenting on the “stolen” emails as embarrassing, but as “experts have pointed out” the “evidence” for manmade Climate Change is “overwhelming”, 4,000 IPCC scientists around the world have apparently said so! Funny that, I thought they were all in Copenhagen? £650 per night, that is around £10,000,000 per night all in without journos, & that’s just for accommodation for starters, before the absolutely essential expenses forms show up the good-time girls (hope Bill Clinton isn’t going?), & or boys, dirty movies, etc., although admittedly many of the girls are doing their bit for the environment by offering their services free of charge, presumably to offset their carbon emissions from such activity! No wonder we need to raise masses of taxes if this is what it all costs. How long does this jamboree last? 7 days? That’s £70,000,000, add in the travelling costs, well double it (I nearly got a job at the CRU) that is £140,000,000. How much good could be done around the world with that little sum, how many childrens’s lives saved (Madonna has only so much money & spare room), anti-malarial drugs issued, AIDS prevention schemes set up, empty bellies fed, clean water pumps installed, seed crops provided, etc? Of course, none of the aforementioned will be on the agenda. Wonder what kind of Hockey Stick graph would be produced with those sort of costs?
PS Before anyone picks up on it, I was joking about the job at the CRU, being self-employed I am by definition, unemployable! :-))

How can these people expect us to take them seriously?
Man, it would be like my Catholic priest preaching to me the how to lead a moral and vituous life and then watch him go off to red light districts, casinos, bordello and particpate with abandon in drug dealing, extrortion, prostitition etc. while drinking a fifth of booze every day.

I really should proof read:

There’s $145T in wealth redistribution to celebrate! But but but, it’s all about saving the earth from the peons!…
The Obamanation is staying away, until he is sure the whole thing doesn’t just immediately fall apart, or blow-up (figuratively [for you DHS a**holes]).
Re: the EPA v CO2… Why don’t they [EPA] all begin living on 100% nitrogen, so as not to produce any CO2 themselves. They can come back in a year and report on their collective personal observations. To be balanced, UN/IPCC should participate also – manditory!
As for the rest of us, we could live our lives hyper-ventillating, which would reduce the expelled CO2 PPM significantly. Bet we could get down below 10kPPM and maintain longer than the EPA can in their experiment (above).
Come on EPA, be the leaders, you go first!::)

Speaking of hypocrisy I see Google is still not auto-suggesting ClimateGate:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Web+Search/thread?tid=25112ee0c29cbd01&hl=en
This was the Google employee answer:
“Hey everyone,
Thanks for voicing your concerns. We haven’t made any adjustments to our suggestions to limit the appearance of [ climategate ] in Google Suggest. So you know, it’s totally normal for a suggestion to take time to appear consistently in our query suggestions (it’s even normal for it to appear in some but not all cases).
Since [ climategate ] is a growing search trend, it’s likely to start appearing more and more consistently over time. I can’t promise, though — suggestions are generated automatically, and Internet fame can be fleeting 🙂
If you’re interested, below I’m linking to some Google Insights for Search data about [ climategate ].
Thanks,
Jem”
Of course the problem with this explanation is the Google did auto-suggest ClimateGate earlier, but then mysteriously stopped suggesting it some days ago.
I give the Google employee the Bulldust seal of approval… that is to say, I think his/her response is prime, Grade A, certifiable bulldust.
Number of ClimateGate web hits in Google Oz … 32.7 million
Number of ClimateGate news articles on Google … 6,924
Number of times Google will auto-suggest ClimateGate … 0 (priceless!)
Do no evil, eh? Heck the number of hits for pR0n (spelt correctly of course) is only 29 million on the Aussie Google… so Climategate is bigger than pR0n now… I know I must be dreaming.

So all of those new light bulbs I bought, all of the recycling I have done, my overseas holiday I cancelled, the use of my bike for the last year instead of using my car, the reduction of the thermostat so that my house is now cold instead of warm, plus all of those little things I have done to do my bit have been blown away by the worlds leading Climatologist Leonardo DiCaprio flying to Copenhagen in his private jet.
BTW when was the last peer reviewed paper by DiCaprio, Christensen, Tutu et al published? I cant seem to find it anywhere /sarc

If the lieing cheating conniving bastards want a work out they can try the hotel gymnasiums and some of that hot sauna and branch whipping, seeing they like larches that much.
Bloody hypocrites should have sailed.

Correction: I have just read over at Climaterealist that this shindig will go on for 12 days not the 7 I had thought. This makes the sums being wasted upon it even more shameful. The estimated total cost would appear to be in the order of £250,000,000! Are there any actual “books” that require balancing on this stuff? On current performance, I suspect not!
