Activists behind NY Post parody detained by police
The New York Post does not have a sense of humor about itself, it would seem.
Early this morning, some 2,000 activists affiliated with a group called The Yes Men handed out copies of a 32-page parody issue calling attention to climate change. But when volunteers tried to distribute copies outside the Post’s offices, they were detained by police and their papers were confiscated, says an eyewitness.
This won’t last long. I’m sure the New York Post won’t take kindly to ripping off their image and brand wholesale to promote this agenda.

This fake version of the New York Post website seems to be part of the “New York Climate Week” effort, though it is hard to tell if it is connected or the work of a misguided person or sympathetic organization. Whomever it is behind it, it isn’t convincing anyone except for the galactically stupid.

The nypost-se.com domain name when looked up by WHOIS at Network Solutions does not appear to resolve to the New York Post, at 1211 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10036-8790, but rather at another NYC address and a private individual.
So what’s next, fake celebrity endorsements?
By their own admission, the people who created the fake website apparently also distributed some newspapers they printed.
Although the 32-page New York Post is a fake, everything in it is 100% true, with all facts carefully checked by a team of editors and climate change experts.
It will be interesting to see if the usual suspects will join in to denounce this abuse of journalistic ethics or if they’ll simply stay silent and say to themselves “the end justifies the means”.

This quote below came from their BEYOND TALK website. They’re looking for 10k volunteers for a civil disobedience demonstration.

So I guess if 350ppm is the max, and we’re at 390 now, it’s too late to do anything anyway, no? Let’s have a party!
It looks to me that the Murdoch owned post is more than going along with it.

I don’t see anything in there where they say it was licensed by the NY Post. If they actually printed fake newspapers without permission, well then they deserve every bit of legal that gets thrown at them. – Anthony

I have serious doubts that;
a) everything is 100% true
b) they are all facts
c) the facts have been checked by editors with qualifications and experiance in environmental physics, chemistry & biology, let alone the tens of thousands of expertise hours clocked by specialists in their fields
d) the facts have been checked by independent environmental scientists who do not have any ties in politics or finacial investment in green business/organisations.

That line was uttered after McCarthy made a true statement.
He was being mocked and asked if he could name any Communists in the government. He responded by identifying one on the questioner’s committee, who had been let go for his Communist ties, and this was reported by the New York Times.

I Believe that this group is responsible for the fake NY Post and they seem to think breaking the law in non-violent ways and risking arrest are all in a good days work.
From one year ago when Protesters adopted Shoe throwing at climate events to the now planned self-immolations for Copenhagen you can see where this is headed…
I have watched several televised programs this weekend and today from stations all over Europe.
The Climate Change Doctrine is pushed to a level that is beyond hysteria.
In the Netherlands a politician who is pushing the Green Bandwagon for years went completely out of his mind when he was confronted with the trailer of “The Age of Stupid”, an alarmist follow up of “An Inconvenient Truth”.
Because of the emotional outbreaks, the opposing parties were suppressed and they did not get a chance to present their arguments.
This scam is imploding and the fake NYT web site very well underlines the case that the Warmists are more than desperate about their position and fear the outcome of Copenhagen.
Despite the titanic propaganda campaign to reach a positive outcome at the Copenhagen meeting, the political reality points in another direction.

Well, never a day goes by on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that we are inundated with alarming news that global warming is causing some catastrophe somewhere on the globe.

Whilst I have every sympathy with the Carteret Islanders and their desire to relocate to a more comfortable environment, I can only hope that those people in New York handing out tax payers’ funds around the globe please get all the facts as to if and why the islanders need to move and whether carbon dioxide is the real villain in this case.

What they consider to be an expert on climate change may be someone in a Smart car that has a “Save the Polar Bears” bumper sticker. Or better yet, someone who rides in a private jet to get to a conference on saving the world from global warming while telling others to ride a bike to work.
