Somebody Call the Manager. Fact-Checkers Report 169 Climate Videos and Complain YouTube Didn’t Take Their Call

Charles Rotter Two Spanish and French fact-checking outfits, Fundación Maldita.es and Science Feedback, spent part of this year reporting climate videos to TikTok and YouTube. Their October report is about what happened next, which mostly was nothing. From the executive summary:

YouTube does not enforce its policy of demonetising climate dis/misinformation: after we reported 82 videos to YouTube that contained climate misinformation in violation of the platform's policy, the platform only demon...

Here’s their full 26-page report:
https://files.maldita.es/uploads/2026/10/6ac903180e65f.pdf

I was hoping to find links to the 169 or 82 videos, so that I could see for myself what they’re calling “misinformation.” But the report only gives links to a handful of crackpot “chemtrail,” “weather modification,” and “geoengineering” videos. For obvious reasons, they did not provide links to anything reasonable.

At the same time the report, itself, promulgates overt scientific disinformation, such as:

● Disparaging the compelling evidence that “CO2 is harmless and beneficial”

● Falsely claiming that “extreme weather [is] brought on by or made worse by climate change”

● Calling the long settled science “that CO₂ is beneficial for plants” a “misleading” “claim.”

In other words, Fundación Maldita.es and Science Feedback are just promoting lies on behalf of the parasitic industry which funds them.

Will my Youtube channel be demonetized for showing GOES images and plots from the ERA5 reanalysis?

Oh wait. I was never monetized to begin with. Not a cent.

Never mind.

But here is the channel if you are interested. I have never been notified of any violation of norms or whatever, but there is a commenter on the Energy Conversion video that used ChatGPT to generate an erroneous AI-slop critique.

That is all for now.

Anybody that believes there is no censoring taking place in the media and the courts in the USA is naive. It’s blatant and we’re sleepwalking through it. Many times a conservative questions something and tries to take legal action the DA’s and courts refuse to investigate claiming “no basis” for court action. Media misinformation only works in one direction and it’s usually more misinformation to counteract the complaint. We’re being mushroomed and most people are completely unaware of what’s happening.

If it’s a freedom of speech issue, don’t hesitate to contact the ACLU. I did when the state of Wokeachusetts investigated me for daring to critique its forestry policies. And the ACLU helped a great deal.

aCLU is good at some things and not so good at others. They are working very hard at giving rights to illegals. Ironic for the American Civil Liberties Union now isn’t it 🙂

Didn’t know that. Not a fan of illegals. But if it’s a first amendment issue, they’ll fight for it. I can’t imagine how they justify illegals having any rights- other than a free bus or plane ticket back to their home.

It’s worth it to get rid of them. And getting on that bus or plane will be mandatory. If they come back, it’ll mean prison.

Most arrive having spent their life savings to the cartels (and other groups) that transport them. If they have no cash, a free bus ride (or plane) is the least expensive way to resolve their status.

First of all, an illegal alien broke the law entering the country.

Second, those illegal aliens are not undocumented migrants. That is applied to refugees who did not have time and opportunity to process in through the system BUT were supposed to process through on arrival.

The Constitution, specifically The Bill of Rights does not specific that those Amendments only apply to citizens. So there is a Constitutional argument in favor of applying those specific rights to anyone here.

Illegal immigration is not a binary issue as so many declare.
It is complex with many nuances that do not apply universally.

Due process is commonly understood as a court case. It is not universally the definition. It is due process under the law and if the law allows action without a court, it is still due process.

The privilege to vote in all levels of government is not dictated by the original Constitution and the Constitution provided that authority to the States.

That aside, I am expressly against non-citizen voting in Federal Elections.
What States, counties, towns, etc. decide to do is their business. States are, still, on paper, sovereign.

Remember TikTok is an arm of the security service of China.

And for some strange reason this post has had TikTok underlined in a squiggly red line which suggests a spelling mistake.

It’s actually an arm of the security service of Israel since it was forcefully aquired by Ellison and friends.
Remember that TikTok USA is now run by an IDF killer – and no longer by China.

As soon as Satanyahoo said that Social Media is the most important weapon and that the “most important purchase right now is … TikTok ”
democrats and republicans got that same compulsive urge too.
All the talk about free markets and no censorship disappeared in a bipartisan cloud of the one common denominator..
(Oh btw – do you know who bought Citgo after Venezuela was forced to sell it?
Different domain – same story )

And why don’t you tell us who runs YT and FB?

According to DDG the Chinese Government still owns part of TikTok.

YT is owned by Google.
FB is owned by Meta.
Why do you ask?

TicTok is owned by ByteDance, a Chinese company headquartered in Beijing, China. ByteDance’s US operations only are owned mostly by ByteDance (19.9%) with smaller parts owned by Mr. Ellison, the country of Abu Dhabi and several others. And CITGO is still owned by Venezuela but is in the court-ordered process of being transferred to the US firm Elliott Investment Management in return for unpaid debts (prior confiscation by Venezuela) owed to some of Elliott’s oil companies. Everything is not a conspiracy.

“Most of what they caught is easy to dismiss. Chemtrails, HAARP and secret government weather machines topped the TikTok counts, and that stuff is nonsense. Nobody here will defend it.”

Just what do you find in the HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program) to be nonsense? Some claims that it is involved in weather modification clearly is, but that is not what it does, tries to do or has ever been. HAARP is a program to study the properties of the Earth’s ionosphere, the uppermost wisps of the Earth’s atmosphere from 50 to 400 miles above the surface. That you call it nonsense is nonsense.

The context is the report‘s mention of HAARP in this sentence fragment:

“Conspiracy theories related to narratives about weather manipulation and geoengineering (e.g., chemtrails, HAARP)…”

So, the HAARP “stuff [which is] nonsense” is not the real HAARP scientific program, it’s the alleged (imaginary) use of HAARP for “weather manipulation and geoengineering.”

Instead of these self-proclaimed Fact Checkers trying to get things censored, why not spend their time and money refuting what they claim is dis/misinformation?
I assume they watched or read what they are … dissing, if they really have “the facts”, how hard can it be?
