Climate Industry Intersectionality

From Climate Litigation Watch

Is AP short for “Acquired Propaganda”?

CLW readers have kept current on the judicial “training” machine that the plaintiffs’ bar and its affiliated academics and NGO activists quickly assembled after two 2018 losses in federal court by the climate litigation industry. Background to these “trainings”—currently a hot topic, first reported here in May and then October 2021, and ever since—has been further illustrated in productions from, in particular, the University of Oregon (see, e.g., here), Oregon State University (herehere and here), and University of Washington (hereherehere and here). The latter has just given us yet another “they are who we thought they were” exhibit.

UW Prof. Kristie Ebi was recruited by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to serve on the outside-reviewer team of NASEM’s “expedited” and (as GAO pointed out in comments) activist-laden (“inherently conflicted to the point of absurdity”) NASEM advocacy effort to keep in place the climatistas’ domestic Holy Grail. That is the 2009 Endangerment Finding, which we all now know was pre-cooked by activists who were then set loose in government to advance an agenda.

UW’s unbiased, chin-stroking searcher-of-truths was concurrently working with members of the climate-plaintiffs’ team—from the group known as the “lawyers advising Rockefeller family fund” to activist/expert witnesses paraded in front of judges recruited to swanky locales to hear (and be swayed by) the plaintiffs’ side (and only the plaintiffs’ side) of things,.

Late last year another priority emerged, which was to undermine the Red Team-ing the Endangerment Finding by leading scientists assembled by the Department of Energy, which brought to light original omissions and developments since 2009. This also launched an emergency to counter it with the “objective,” taxpayer-funded NASEM effort now the subject of, inter aliacongressional scrutiny.

Regarding mostly the former, but reflecting very poorly on the latter as well, are a series of records just obtained by Government Accountability & Oversight that also remind us of the advocacy role assumed on these issues by media outlets, from CNN and CBS which aired and even housed plaintiffs’-team advisers for on-air “climate” content, to other legacy outlets whose foundations are eating with both hands from activist donor foundations, to the clumsier Associated Press (Patient Zero in the foundations’ occupation of purportedly news outlets, even one of the “fact-checkers” assembled by Facebook to keep control of the narrative).

AP of course was on its deathbed less than a decade ago when the climate-activist foundations jumped in with millions. Read into that what you will. CLW reads the same thing Ebi lets on to.

AP = “Absolute Propaganda”

Speaking of AP a “story tip” this Guardian article shows how desperate they all are.

Are OnlyFans models the best way to explain the climate crisis? “The world, as we know, is in trouble. The last three years have been the hottest ever recorded. Global emissions are still at record highs. The planet is now consistently flirting with the 1.5C limit it promised not to cross. Increasingly, it feels as if we need a genuine miracle to stop us from sleepwalking into catastrophe. Could that miracle be an environmental warning from a woman in her pants? This is the stated desire of Headline Newds, a new series of web videos by actor Megan Prescott…Headline Newds is made up of bite-size videos in which the climate emergency is broken down and raunchily explained to us by a variety of OnlyFans models. And so we have the launch episode, The Sun is Daddy, in which Prescott slowly removes her clothes while explaining that solar energy could meet our global energy demands with less land than is being used by the fossil fuel industry. Or, in her words: “Daddy is a giver.”

So the planet promised not to cross the 1.5C limit? I must have missed it doing so. Was it a “cross my heart and hope to die” promise, or just an ordinary one?

Good grief, these people really are nuts.

“Prescott slowly removes her clothes”

Watching that would raise my temperature by more than 1.5 C. 🙂

AP: “Words matter.” But, the objective is to use the words that support the objective.

Authoritarian Propaganda is how I’ve always seen them. The rats are circling the wagons because their cherry picked lies and delusional fabrications have zero empirical support.

There were enough gold bricks to last a lifetime.
It probably turned into a “who could spend it fastest competition”.
