Germany attempted to defend its disastrous energy policies in a fact-check-style response to former President Donald Trump who held up Berlin as a warning to the American public in Tuesday’s debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.
Mr Trump urged U.S. voters to reject the green agenda favoured by the Democrats and Harris, noting that even Germany has had to walk back its Energiewende transition as evidence of the foolhardy nature of the green agenda.
“You believe in things that the American people don’t believe in,” Trump said towards Harris. “You believe in things like, we’re not gonna frack. We’re not gonna take fossil fuel,” referencing her long-standing opposition to fracking, a position she has attempted to flip-flop on.
“Germany tried that and within one year, they were back to building normal energy plants,” Trump continued. “We’re not ready for it.”
It’s difficult to know where to begin. The German political class is delusional if they truly believe their green energy achievements are an aspirational success.
As Volkswagen weighs its first closure of a German auto plant, workers aren’t the only ones worried
BY DAVID MCHUGHUpdated 5:24 PM AEST, September 8, 2024Share
FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Volkswagen is considering closing some factories in its home country for the first time in the German automaker’s 87-year history, saying it otherwise won’t meet the cost-cutting goals it needs to remain competitive.
…
Higher costs outweighed a modest 1.6% increase in sales, which reached 158.8 billion euros but were held down by sluggish demand. Blume called it “a solid performance” in a “demanding environment.” Volkswagen’s luxury brands, which include Porsche, Audi and Lamborghini, are selling better than VW models.
I suspect Germany is still feeling the pain of President Trump humiliating their green political class back in 2018, by correctly predicting that German reliance on Russian gas and failure to develop domestic fossil fuel resources would undermine their energy security.
The German political class laughed at Trump back then. The climate obsessed German bureaucrats with ring fenced government provided incomes are still trying to laugh. But no German who has to make a living in the real economy is laughing.
If Germany continues with the green madness, the entire nation is on a one way trip to Venezuelan levels of national destitution, or worse – except for the privileged bureaucrats and politicians of course.
Some Germans are trying to fight back. Parties like AFD did very well in recent elections, though likely this was more to do with AFD’s immigration policies than their climate policies. But AFD also emphatically rejects climate action, which appears to make AFD Germany’s best hope for righting Germany’s energy policy train wreck.
As for the dog eating comment, Trump as far as I know never accused Germans of eating their dogs.
For clarity about the dog eating comment… The whole world is laughing at the ramblings of that battered old man.
No-one is eating people’s pets. The USA is not starving. Immigrants are not putting puppies in takeaways.
The muppet just lost it, having been outclassed for an hour.
Every politician likes to look strong. So making swipes at stumbling weaklings is an obvious thing for a politician to do.
That’s why German politicians are piling on the paranoid grandpa.
One thing for sure…President Trump’s closing remarks have gone viral. TikTok has millions of hits, millions of shares and millions on likes.
YouTube … Fox has 11M views … ABC has 17M views … Forbes has 3.5M views.
The phrase “Why hasn’t She done it?” is showing up like wildfire.
People are starting to ask…and starting to wonder!
Of course they are eating dogs, illegals eating things they shouldn’t is well documented in other jurisdictions. A city manager claiming everything is OK is less than credible IMO. What are they going to do, put “I managed the dog eating capital of Democrat USA” on their next job application?
The best you’ve got is an anecdote about an immigrant hunting and eating a swan? n = 1.
Or more accurately, n= 0.
That’s not a pet.
And it’s not any sort of cat or a dog.
Here’s a helpful hint. If it has wings, it’s probably not a cat or a dog.
For further reading at the appropriate level of debate, see this.
This sort of desperation, trying to defend a pratfall followed by ranting wibble wibble wibble, is why the whole world is laughing at him. And the Republican Party.
Except Russia and China who are hoping that the USA is led by a guy who is so easily beaten.
That’s a Dem propaganda- because they’re too stupid to figure out what he means when he talks in his own way. He has a style of talking that is not typical of the Ivy League schools so they diss him for that- being elitist as they are- which is why so many people LIKE him. I don’t particularly like him but I like him more than that 3fer who only got where she is because she’s a 3fer. He got where he is because he fought to get there. He’s no buddy of those dictators. I don’t like Trump’s wavering about supporting Ukraine but I bet he’ll be a better supporter than the current administration. He’ll probably be more blunt with Putin- saying “either back away from your invasion or I’ll give Ukraine far more and better weapons”. Maybe not, but don’t be surprised if he does.
The Dems pick people based on a check list of identities. Harris gets 3 as a woman, as a black and as a South Asian. I first heard that term (used with any number) on the TV show “30 Rock” with a character who was a gay black guy- his nickname on the show was 2fer. Not sure how often anyone uses this characterization – but I like it. Instead of picking the best- they pick the people with the most identities that can be checked off. As long as you’re not a white, straight, corporate, male. 🙂
Thanks. I thought so, but wondered what the 3rd characteristic was. Normally being from Asia (east or south) doesn’t rate a checkmark. Not as bad as being an old white straight dude (we’re 4fers, eh?), but Asians generally don’t rate any DEI preferences. They tend to work hard and study and excel in the merit-based workplace. They would usually need to be trannies or something.
Well this thread was well and truly derailed wasn’t it?
What was it supposed to be about? Trump said the Energiewende had to be walked back after a year. A typical Trumpism to be taken seriously not literally.
To anyone paying attention, his meaning was that when the Russian gas stopped flowing about a year into Brandon’s term, they had to lean heavily on filthy brown coal and delay their suicidal decision to shut down the nukes. Also he is referring to the economically disastrous results that give Germany the highest energy costs among major industrialized countries. They pay other countries to take their surplus wind and pay through the nose for Polish coal power and French nucleaire.
If anyone is ‘friends’ with Putin and Xi, it’s Dementia Joe whose bagman Hunter collected millions for him selling influence and most likely state secrets kept in a box in Brandon’s garage.
Trump imposed sanctions on both Russia and China. Are you also forgetting the tariffs?
Russia attacked neighboring countries (not just Ukraine) while Obama was in power, stopped under Trump, and resumed under Brandon. Last week he trolled the Dems by ‘endorsing’ Commie-la with a smirk on his face. A clear statement on how much he fears and respects her, right?
I thought a lot of what Trump did in an attempt to charm Kim Jong Un was unseemly and cringeworthy but it was more effective at maintaining peace than whatever the current administration thinks they’re doing.
And let’s not forget the havoc unleashed on the Middle East as the result of Brandon’s appeasement of the mad mullahs, in stark contrast with Trump’s policy.
Not just one “anecdote”. Dozens of reports from Springfield, Ohio and other cities. But you’re deliberately missing the point in order to supposedly “debunk” Trump, as does every Trump-hating leftist. Trump’s general, and correct, point is that bringing in millions of noncitizens illegally is causing all kinds of problems from simply strange (eating pets, geese, ducks, which is indeed happening) to illegal, dangerous, and deadly. Importing illegals brings crime that would not otherwise exist. We have enough problems with crime in this country without importing more. The more important point is that President Biden and his Vice President, who have a sworn constitutional duty to “faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States” and “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” are purposely subverting the very laws they are sworn to execute and defend. The President’s primary responsibility is to execute—ie.; to enforce—the laws passed by Congress, including all the immigration laws on the books. In a rational world, their purposely undermining immigration law is an impeachable offense, a “high crime” or “misdemeanor”.
“President, who have a sworn constitutional duty to “faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States” and “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” are purposely subverting the very laws they are sworn to execute and defend.”
Yes, they are. The current administration is ignoring the laws on immigration. Illegal aliens are supposed to be deported, not released into the United States.
That’s what the law says. That’s what Biden and Harris are refusing to do.
The Dems are pretending that the ‘newcomers’ are all seeking political asylum which is absurd. Maybe 1500 out of 15 million have a valid case? (And I doubt even that).
It is a willful fraud against the United States. Perpetrated by the Democrats and their globalist NGO accomplices.
The reality is that 99% of them are economic migrants who could apply for citizenship and wait in line like millions of legal immigrants have done in the past. Instead they are here at our expense, driving up rental costs, causing native-born people to be evicted when they can’t afford the jacked up rent that their own government is willing to pay for illegal immigrants but not for them. Some are even veterans thrown out to accommodate the scam asylum seekers.
In many jurisdictions they are allowed to get a drivers license and are being registered to vote.
“In many jurisdictions they are allowed to get a drivers license and are being registered to vote.”
Registering the illegal aliens to vote is the goal of the Democrats. The Democrats think that most of the illegal aliens that do vote will vote for the Democrats since Trump will deport them if he is elected, and I think that is a pretty good bet.
So allowing millions of illegal aliens to cross the border is not a humanitarian effort on the part of the Democrats, it is an effort to keep themselves in political power.
It’s pathetic. Bush, Cheney, Romney and now former Attroney General Gonzales are supporting Kamala and the radical Democrats.
The radical Democrats, who are currently using the power of the federal government to try to put their political opponents in jail and remove the Republican Party as a threat to Democrat rule.
The radical Democrats are trying to subvert the U.S. Constitution in numerous ways in an effort to gain political power in perpetuity. The radical Democrats want to be the Dictators of America.
And here are Republicans supporting this attack on Democracy.
If ole George Bush was running for president, these radical Democrats would be trying to put him in jail, too.
Are these Repubicans really so stupid that they cannot see the danger the radical Democrats pose to our system of government? It appears so, because I don’t think they would support the overthrow of the Republic, but endorsing Kamala is just exactly what they are doing.
The Republicans are Trump’s party now. The Old Guard is no longer relevant. Especially when they come out and support those who would wreck the United States.
Maybe it is just that TDS blinds them to everything else. Anything to get back at Trump including losing your country over it.
Trump was and is rather critical of this bunch of Republcians and rightfully so. They deserve all the criticism Trump levels at them.
Trump tells the truth, and a lot of these guys can’t stand the truth about themselves being revealed and so they hate Trump with a passion.
If the Democrats do take over, I hope they throw Bush, and Cheney and Romney and Gonzales in jail beside Trump. Then maybe their eyes will be opened. Not that that will help the rest of us who have to live under Democrat tyranny.
Trump was elected in 2016 primarily to be disruptive. People were just sick and tired of the same old politics and politicians who were more interested in getting re-elected than doing what was best for the country and the people.
He succeeded to a level that scared the career politicians and bureaucrats to the point they started a junta against him.
A shame. Now they are programming people rather than teaching individuals how to think for themselves.
When those in power are more interested in their personal gain than serving the people, well that is really what caused the fall of Rome and just about every major empire or country throughout history.
Grab a beer. Sit and watch the fall of the USA should this continue after November.
That’s because of Trump, not Harris.
Trump is one of those people who is only ever trusted by those who’ve never met him.
The reason is obvious. And if you can’t work it out, think about Trump’s history of adultery and fraud.
Come on now MC, hard to understand how it is that you Brits suddenly get your knickers in a twist over Trump’s sexual morals, as if he was behaving hypocritically or you disapprove of divorce. I don’t endorse his personal choices any more than I approve of Harris and her horizontal rise to the top of California politics as the side chick whore to Willie Brown.
It’s not on either of those personal details that I base my vote. And let’s not even get started on the ‘fraud’ question, considering influence-peddling Brandon and his bagman Hunter. Or just about everything the Democrats have done to undermine free elections for years.
I care about policies and acknowledge that sometimes we have a moral obligation to choose the lesser of two evils. As it is, “evil” is an overly harsh description for Trump, (though not for Harris and especially running mate Tampon Tim).
Trump is flawed and there are quite a few things I’d like to see him change. I also don’t agree with all of his policy preferences, but there’s essentially nothing about Commie-la’s evil policies (the real ones that she put in writing in 2019 that is) that I don’t abhor.
Yeah, the evidence is just the opposite: If you meet Trump personally, most people like him better. Like the Silicon Valley billionaire that met Trump a couple of months ago, and his billionaire buddies were kidding him and made him admit that after meeting Trump, he liked him.
Did you see where Trump sent a letter to a little boy of seven years, who had brain cancer and was a Trump fan? The little kid told Trump he loved him, after receiving the letter.
Trump’s former spokesperson said she wished people knew the real Donald Trump. She said he is always doing things like this that noone ever knows about.
Notice he didn’t provide any names to back up his adultery charges..
I guess he and the others afflicted with TDS have got it in their minds that Trump has an affair about once a month. They want to think that Trump is the lowest of the low. That’s the false reality that has been created for them by the Leftwing Media, and they believe it.
Propaganda works. Even on intelligent people.
Being Intelligent doesn’t make one immune to propaganda. A lie, repeated often enough, becomes the truth for many people.
He’s running against the policies of the Biden-Harris Administration, Hotscot. Policies that she has previously touted and taken credit for influencing. I’m not aware of a single Biden policy that she has repudiated. She cut-and-pasted his policy website into her own.
Mr. Courtney: And here, your TDS is picked up by one of our more moronic house trolls. You can’t know what is going on in Springfield, aren’t you across the pond? Anyhoo, the fact that this fool agrees with you should give you pause.
Trump had 43 falsehoods in total according to some ??
The moderators let go any false claims or puffery about an opponents policy, but lies about actual events was a no no
And saying some states allow babies to be executed after birth a fact checkable detail. Trump lied on that one
Tell me one single actual real event did Harris lie on ?
You might also call out Trumps claim he took a bullet to the head- but it grazed his ear so thats just puffery even if not factual.
Some wags have said it went in one ear and out the other
Tell me one single actual real event did Harris lie on ?
Interesting phrasing … it’s unlikely that anything either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump said in the the debate would rise to precisely that level of “lie”.
For both Trump and Harris it is impossible to distinguish between “being mislead, e.g. by their debate-prep team” and “deliberately lying”.
“I’m going to believe something I read on the Internet (/ Facebook / X / …) is true without checking it” is one characteristic of “a gullible idiot”, not (necessarily) “a liar”.
.
The New York Times — which can hardly be described as “pro-Trump”, to put it mildly — did a post-debate “fact check” (direct link).
Note that their only “true” conclusion, for either candidate, was the following :
“This business about taking everyone’s guns away — Tim Walz and I are both gun owners.” — Vice President Kamala Harris NYT verdict : This is true.
For other individual statements by Kamala Harris, their verdicts were as follows.
“As of today, there is not one member of the United States military who is in active duty in a combat zone, in any war zone around the world, for the first time this century.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This needs context.
“When Donald Trump was president, 60 times he tried to get rid of the Affordable Care Act — 60 times.” — Vice President Kamala Harris NYT verdict : False.
“Over the last four years, we have invested $1 trillion in a clean energy economy.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This is misleading.
“Donald Trump, the candidate, has said in this election there will be a blood bath if this, and the outcome of this election, is not to his liking.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This needs context.
“The Trump administration resulted in a trade deficit — one of the highest we’ve ever seen in the history of America.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This is misleading.
“We had the largest increase in domestic oil production in history, because of an approach that recognizes that we cannot over-rely on foreign oil.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This needs context.
“Donald Trump left us the worst unemployment since the Great Depression.” — Vice President Kamala Harris NYT verdict : False.
“He lost manufacturing jobs.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This needs context.
“We have created over 800,000 new manufacturing jobs.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This is misleading.
.
Even the New York Times didn’t conclude that ex-prosecutor Harris was telling “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth”.
Even they had to admit to finding two instances where what she said was outright “false”.
“Interesting phrasing … it’s unlikely that anything either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump said in the the debate would rise to precisely that level of “lie”.”
I can think of one outright lie Kamala told about Trump.
At least she should know it is a lie.
It’s is the lie about Trump at Charlottesville, where there were people who wanted to remove some statues and people there who didn’t want the statues removed, and Trump said of them that there were some very good people on both sides of this issue.
The Democrats and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took this part of Trump’s speech to claim that Trump was saying White Supremacists and other radicals, who were also there in attendance, were “very good people”.
The problem with this is that Trump went on to say that he *specifically* was not referring to White Supremacists or the other radicals, as very good people.
Trump gave no support to White Supremacists and radicals and it is all on video.
Even the partisan, leftwing website, Snopes, debunks this lie about Trump. You can go there to see the video. You can see that Trump specifically excluded White Supremacists and other radicals from the “very good people” category.
I assume Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and the other Democrats have seen this video. They have certainly seen part of it, the part they distort, so I think we can assume that they know the truth and this is a deliberate lie on their part to try to demonize Trump.
Kamala Harris claimed she grew up in a middle class family and her mom bought a house when she was a teenager. That is one of her values.
Consider her mom was doing cancer research and he father was a professor. Maybe middle class, maybe not.
Consider also that Harris went to middle school and graduated from high school in Westmount, Quebec. Based on her birthdate and graduation date is seems likely they moved to Westmount when she was 13 or 14.
Westmount, Quebec is very upscale and is one of the most, if not the most, affluent communities in Canada and possibly all of North America.
Having viewed properties offered in the 1980-ish time frame, those were not cheap houses. Somehow it seems that middle class may be a bit of a stretch.
Today, the mean price for a single family home in Westmount is well over $2M, over 4x what my house is worth and I am above middle class according to US definitions.
Somehow it seems that K. Harris either stretched the truth to the breaking point or flat out lied.
So answer this. How many middle class families have accumulated over $13M wealth over the course of 30 years? It would seem her trying to identify to middle class today is … misleading.
Well, the former Democrat governor of Virginia allowed that the decision to abort a baby could take place after the child was born. That’s what Trump mainly alludes to.
So how late-term do you think an abortion should be allowed to take place? Before or after birth?
Technically it was how to address the circumstances of a late term abortion (not the medical definition of late term, but how it is commonly used today) when the abortion leads to the baby born alive.
Actually Puker, 5 babies born alive in botched abortions were left to die in Tampon Tim’s Minnesota alone.
Several states have no restrictions whatsoever on abortion at any stage of gestation. And allowing a newborn to die of exposure, even if they didn’t ‘make it comfortable’ with a lethal dose of morphine, is tantamount to infanticide.
You probably have no qualms about that as a member of the cult of death, but most normal humans regardless of their stance on early-stage abortion are horrified by it.
“Several states have no restrictions whatsoever on abortion at any stage of gestation.”
I think the number of States with no restrictions whatsoever, including any timelimits, is about 15 according to a news report this morning on Fox. So in these States, an abortion can take place on the day of delivery.
In my opinion, it is murder to kill a nine-month old baby, whether it is in the womb or outside of it.
ABC news.. that the same ones that destroyed any chance of a decent debate by constantly disrupting and fact-checking Trump. (and getting their fact-check wrong every time)
… but totally ignoring all the LIES and ANTI-FACTS from the camal?
Most people saw through the DECEIT…. but not the blind luser.
Trump started his speech 50 minutes late. The violence started 10-15 minutes before he finished.
Trump did not incite the riot.
Funny how the Secret Service refused to drive Trump to the Capital.
Funny how the Sgts. at Arms for the House and Senate dismissed requests for National Guards because of “optics.”
Funny to think that the rioters were watching their cell phones. Except for an appearance at the Capital, nothing he could do would have stopped the violence and his Secret Service prevented him.
I will not go into all the nefarious background of how the impeachment was done. Suffice it to say it did not follow House rules.
Funny how prior to the 2016 election, Pelosi declared that if Trump was elected, she would get him impeached. Try to find that now and Google will not give you anything on it.
It just goes on and on, the fabrications, the snippets to change context and meaning of things said.
” you are saying General Kelly is a liar? You believe Trump over a US Marine Corps general? ”
You seem to be uninformed of the other generals who were there that report that he did NOT say that. By quoting NBC I submit that you are extremely ill-informed.
“You seem to be uninformed of the other generals who were there that report that he did NOT say that.”
Well let’s see their names… of the other generals? I will wait patiently for your reply. I say there are none…..
I get 7 down votes for correctly calling out a false claim but the man who made up the “generals” claim (Tom Johnson) gets 14 upvotes. That’s WUWT for ya.
“So you are saying General Kelly is a liar? You believe Trump over a US Marine Corps general?”
I do. To both questions.
About two dozen others at this ceremony say it didn’t happen.
Do you really think Trump is dumb enough to call the honored military dead “suckers and losers” in front of numerous military people? Use a little logic and common sense.
“Do you really think Trump is dumb enough to call the honored military dead “suckers and losers” in front of numerous military people? Use a little logic and common sense.” I do to that question. I certainly don’t believe a man with the integrity of General Kelly would make something that serious up. Trump on the other hand ….. tells lies for breakfast. A proven liar who has been caught numerous times. Let’s start with a recent one…. It is 100% provable that Harris has never met Putin, yet Trump has announced twice that she has. How do you explain that Tom?
When you say the integrity of General Kelly, Simon, I suppose that your only basis for that statement is that he has defamed Trump? Surely a socialist anti-American like you do not approve of any other points on his CV?
I think Trump is referring to the time when Kamala went to Munich, Germany, supposedly, according to the press, to discourage Putin from invading Ukraine, and then a few days after she left, Putin invaded Ukraine.
Trump is saying her involvement in the Ukraine war did not deter Putin.
Trump may have confused Kamala meeting with Zelensky in Munich, right before the invasion began, with her meeting with Putin.
I misremembered this incident myself. I was thinking Kamala had gone to Ukraine and met Zelensky there, until I did the search and was reminded that the meeting took place in Munich, Germay.
If I had gone with my faulty memory of the subject and said she met Zelensky in Ukraine, would that make me a liar? That would make me incorrect, but it wouldn’t make me a liar, if it is an innocent mistake.
The problem is Trumps account makes her out to be unable to control Putin, which he is at pains to say he is able to do. Fact is no one controls Putin. And we saw in Helsinki how easily Putin played Trump when he announced to the world that he believed his Putin over his own secret service.
So anyone who isn’t military is a Trump sycophant? I guess it doesn’t matter what names I provide then, but here’s 2: Mike Pompeo and John Bolton. I’m sure you’ll just dismiss that, though.
“So anyone who isn’t military is a Trump sycophant? ”
There are a couple of leaps there. No… but I say military General holds a lot more sway for me than one of Trumps “yes” people.
I seem to recall Bolton saying he didn’t hear it. Pardon me but in my book….I did not hear is, not the same as did not happen.
And Bolton also said….”I’m not saying he didn’t say them later in the day or another time, but I was there for that discussion”
And for clarities sake this is what Kelly said…
“A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them,'” Kelly said.
“A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’
That’s pretty specific… and damning.
And this is what a Fox reporter had to say….
In 2020 Jennifer Griffin, the National Security Correspondent for Fox News, said her sources, which included two senior former Trump administration officials on the trip to France “confirmed key parts of The Atlantic article and certainly described a pattern of behavior by the president in describing war veterans and wounded warriors that coincides with the description in the Atlantic article.”
A little nuance, Simon…Trump did previously speak disparagingly of John McCain as not being a war hero, because he was captured. That was one of the times I really thought Trump was out of line. Mind you, I didn’t like RINO McCain at all, but I would never disparage his service.
I may be mistaken, but my guess is that Trump may not have wanted to go out of his way, to make the visit happen. That annoyed Kelly, then he twisted whatever Trump actually might have said paraphrasing it in the worst possible light, read into it that Trump didn’t want his hair messed up, and embellished that with his resentment of Trump’s prior comments about McCain.
The reality of top military leadership is that they are all politicians and deep state actors. I have no difficulty believing that he could rationalize misrepresenting what he imagined was Trump’s unspoken intent as something Trump actually said and then reinforcing that with a reference to something Trump actually had said.
I think Trump has made up for that with his treatment of other military dead and injured. McCain was a horrendously bad political person. However, he was a POW hero, and so was my brother.
McCain killed the bill that would have killed Obama’s “Affordable” Care Act, and McCain did it, just to spite Trump.
McCain saddled the whole nation with the horrible “Affordable” Care Act because of his hurt ego.
Pathetic.
Trump should not have disparaged McCain’s military service.
What Trump does to those he wants to defeat is to hit them where their ego is most vulnerable. In McCain’s case, he was most proud of his military service, including his time as a prisoner of war, and rightfully so. The North Vietnamese hung John MeCain from the rafters of his cell, by his broken arms. John McCain was offered his freedom by the North Vietnamese, putting him in front of more senior officers, and McCain refused the offer.
So McCain was an honorable man in his service to his country.
He was less so with his vote on the “Affordable” Care Act.
Trump should not have disparaged McCain’s service, but he knew that is what would hurt McCain’s ego the most, so he did it.
Trump is very good at figuring out what will trigger an individual. He is a master of human psychology. That’s why he can deal with murderous dictators successfully.
“McCain killed the bill that would have killed Obama’s “Affordable” Care Act, and McCain did it, just to spite Trump.” I’m picking you don’t like the ACA? I think you will find most Americans are quite fond of it. I see Trump is no longer in a hurry to say he wants it gone. Where is Trumps health plan anyway? He’s been promising it forever.
I used to have a little respect for Kirby until he started making excuses for the Biden administration. He changed from giving us the facts, to distorting the facts.
Anymore, I feel like I’m watching “Baghdad Bob” when I watch Kirby giving a press conference. You can’t believe anythig he says.
It’s pathetic. Politics over truth, even where it concerns U.S. national security. Kirby has sold us out.
I’ve read one report that said General Kelly confirmed the statement. I’ve read another report that said General Kelly denied that statement. And I’ve read a third report that said General Kelly wasn’t around Trump on the day in question.
Actually, the trip was canceled by the Secret Service. According to Dan Bongino (who still has friends and colleagues in the Service), both bad weather and the fact that local police authorities couldn’t get their act together led to the cancellation. The Secret Service depends on local police assets to provide addition protection.
Obviously, some TDS person accused Trump of cancelling the trip and accused him of saying “suckers and losers” or that the rain would mess his hair.
The statement is out-of-character for Trump, but seems to be right in line with Biden and Harris.
“I’ve read another report that said General Kelly denied that statement. And I’ve read a third report that said General Kelly wasn’t around Trump on the day in question.” Nope to all of that. Clearly you read nonsense.
Hey the anew York Times won a Pulitzer Award for their original work on Russia colluuuusion and it was all fake news. Have you seen your pee pee tape 😉
“Obviously, some TDS person accused Trump of cancelling the trip and accused him of saying “suckers and losers” or that the rain would mess his hair.
The statement is out-of-character for Trump,”
The Atlantic magazine is where this charge against Trump was published.
Steve Jobs’ billionaire widow owns the Atlantic, along with numerous other media, and she is a hardcore leftist who uses her resources to further the radical left agenda, donating millions of dollars to various radical leftwing causes, so it should be no surprise that she is the one putting this article out.
The Atlantic criticiizes Trump with every issue.
And, supposedly, Jobs’ widow, is best friends with Kamala Harris.
If she did, she had to be driven given Westmount is such an upscale neighborhood and probably has no McDonalds.
She learned to cook fries?
Hmmm…. The McDonalds in Westmount opened some time after Murry’s closed in 1999. It opened in that location. K. Harris would have been 35+ at the time the McDonalds opened.
What is telling about Kamala working at McDonalds and Trump calling it a lie, is the Leftwing Media is very quick to try to fact-check what Trump says about Kamala. The Media will put out a fact-check in a matter of hours.
But in this case, there’s not a peep out of the Leftwing Media defending Kamala’s claim that she worked at McDonalds.
So, Trump must be right, Kamala is lying about working at McDonalds.
If Kamala will lie about working at McDonalds, then what else will she lie about? Answer: Just about everything.
“And why is the Harris campaign demanding another debate? Usually that’s what losers do.”
Perhaps she wants to be in for the kill while he is flailing. And he is. You have to wonder given the poor reviews Trump got from the left and right, why he is not keen to get up there. I mean he needs to do something or he is going to lose. She is ahead 5 point nationally now. Maybe he is scared? I mean, she did at times in the debate make him look weak and dare I say it silly. Maybe he is most scared of the fact that she is increasingly so looking presidential. One thing we do know about Trump, is he consistently plays the bravado card, so maybe that’s his ply here in saying he wont debate.
“Both Harris and Davis were members of Alpha Kappa Alpha—but they attended different universities, and Davis graduated from college more than decade after Harris.”
Read the reviews… she won. It was like she was the Road Runner drawing a tunnel on the side of the hill and he ran straight into it. Hook, line, sinker.
Not even Jake Tapper on CNN believes that. He pointed out that Harris never answered questions but quoted unrelated talking points. The actual reviews say the opposite, and the undecided are breaking towards Trump.
And they did a live poll that went on during the entire debate, and the Republicans and the Indepedents were very close to each other in their approval of Trump’s comments.
They were way up here, and the Democrats (and Simon) were way down there.
Yes, Brit Hume opined that he did poorly and that was also my initial take, as well as my wife’s take and my best friend’s take. When I saw Trump talk to Hannity and claim victory, I thought “he’s delusional”. But we’re not undecided voters.
Somebody said he didn’t take the bait, he took the whole boat. That was disappointing.
But then I heard the opinions of the undecided voters. This frankly hilarious eating the pets video is NOT hurting him at all. As the facts come out that Trump was absolutely correct, it’s just giving him positive publicity on his most powerful issue for middle-of-the-road voters —out of control illegal immigration and its harmful impacts.
Well Tom….. as long as one of us is mature enough to pat the other one on the back (metaphorically) and say “well done buddy…. you were right.” I’m working up to it just in case. But let’ face it, we will do it all again in four years so….
Pundits Said Harris Won the Debate. Undecided Voters Weren’t So Sure.
By Jeremy W. PetersJack Healy and Campbell Robertson
The reporters interviewed voters in five states and asked them whether the debate changed their views on the presidential race.
Published Sept. 11, 2024

Other reports say that after the debate six out of ten undecided voters are going to vote for Trump.
All the leftwing pundits think Kamala won the debate, but their bias is showing. The undecided voters are going with Trump.
Crazy how republicans are so concerned about the myth that babies are murdered after they are born, but they are silent about the fact that guns are the number 1 killer of children in the US.
Hey DATA DENIER, Man made global warming cultist. Harris LIES BY SUBJECT

NEWSFLASH: Contrary to what Myusername thinks, “minorities” are composed of INDIVIDUALS, each of whom has his or her own beliefs and thoughts. They are NOT a uniform, undifferentiated mass with the same political orientation.
They don’t need condescending Leftists like you to tell them what to think nor how to vote.
Consumption of dog and catmeat is perfectly normal in Central Africa. It would be strange if the Haitians had not brought the practice with them when they were taken to the New World.
Well, to tell the truth, so do I. They are messy birds. However, they are Canada Geese–supposedly named after the discoverer and not the country. On a trip through the St. Lawrence River and down the Northeast coast, we were told that–by Canadians.
The geese do produce excellent down insulation. However, I prefer the geese to live on professional farms, not each defecating 4 lbs a day onto the lawns of our local park. It’s unsanitary and unsightly.
For Clarity –
as someone from muslim Origin who has seen quiet a bit of the world.
The whole world is laughing at pussyfied people like you.
We think you lefties and your countries are totally insane.
The chinese even invented a special insulting word for you = Baizuo.
Trump is 100% spot on this topic as there have been videos since at last month circulating from Springfield townmeeting.
(they were not taken down cause the eyewhitness was black).
Remember the massive childrape accusations that went on for years in Rotherham,Rothington etc that have been covered up by Jacinda Arden,Keith Starmer and everyone knew about – and guys like you called it racist, paranoid, conspiracy theory, until they were no longer able to hide it.
Remember when Trump said that the FBI is spying on his campaign – he was proven to be 100% right.
Remember about the crazy conspiracy theory of a sex island for celebrities . Crazy conspiracy theory – until Jeffrey Epstein.
Remember US global spying program – crazy conspiracy theory, until Snowden.
In dact it was revealed years before by Binney.
But a low IQs Judas like need always longer to understand.
Remember terror attacks by NATO&CiA in Europe?
Well you are so primitive that you still do not know that it happened and would call anyone a paranoid conspiracy theorist because you never heard of Gladio 1&2.
Remember the crazy conspiracy theory about superrich people doing occult ceremonies with child sacrifice – never heard of the Bohemian Grove.
But Haitians eating dogs.Something so profane that happens in several countries around the world .
The world is laughing at western guys like you because you have become so insane, pathetic and weak that you neither protect your women ,your children, your pets nor your border – but you will do anything to protect people you don’t know and the border of Ukraine 5000 miles away.
And after all these lies you still blindly believe in any crap the MSM tells you.
Haitians eating dogs,cats,dugs?
Nothing unusual to them.
Haiti was destroyed by Earthquakes, the USA and the Clinton Foundation.
And before that they were forced to pay reparations for ending slavery which impoverished them.
They learned how to survive..
And just like us muslims and everyone else – we do not change our crappy habits because we cross a border.
And we don’t need to because guys like you will lie for us and protect us no matter how destructive our behavior.
And once you find out that the claims about us are true – you will come up with excuses and toleranceBS.
My fellow Courtney: We usually agree, not here, however. And I’m about 10 miles west of Springfield, OH, have you been there? Fact is, Trump accurately reported what happened. If you look into it, you’ll see ordinary citizens have complained about these incidents at a city council meeting, weeks before any “right-wing” news reports. Your left-wing sources ignore this, and fail to consider why these folks would lie about these incidents. They’re not lying, please analyze this without the Trump blinkers.
Trump said if he is elected, the first places he will send U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is to Springfield, Ohio and Aurora, Colorado.

The German greens are doubling down on a failure. Their actual emissions are nearly the same, and building more and more wind and solar did not change that.
CO2 production in Germany has declined as their industry moves to China. China’s dominance in making BEVs is not doing China’s economy much good at the moment.
If Germany wasn’t being so successful with the energiewende, sites like this wouldn’t feel the need to bash them. So I take articles like this as another approval that things work out just fine for Germany.
Main reasons people voted for them were immigration and crime. A topic artificial inflated by the party, and people fell for it and voted for them.
I suspect Germany is still feeling the pain of President Trump humiliating their green political class back in 2018
No, thanks to rising gas prices, as clearly seen in the quoted study. And that had nothing to do with their green energy policies – contrariwise, more focus on renewables would have made Germany more resilient against the rising gas prices.
MUN,
IF (1)Germany actually was being successful with energiewende AND (2) consumer electric rates were lower (as promised by “Renewables are the cheapest form of energy”) then (3) sites like this truly WOULDN’T feel the need to ” Bash Them”.
But (1) they aren’t AND (2) they’re not (47¢ kWh ain’t cheap) (3) so we point out the hypocrisy and lies
Germany has installed so much wind and solar that their installed nameplate capacity is 250% of their average daily use and 150% of their peak use. By those numbers, Germany should be a constant (not just net but daily) exporter of green energy. But they’re not. In fact that 250% overcapacity can only produce 57% of their daily need for 40% of the year and why is that? Because of renewable generation’s abysmal capacity factor.
China’s economy has hit a speed bump. Coal stockpiles are 650Mt. Not far below what USA produces in a year. Iron ore prices are going down. That impacts Australia’s income and ability to continue the transition.
It is currently impossible to make wind turbines and solar panels from energy that these devices produce so the countries chasing NetZero have to rely on China for all the stuff.. With China’s economy in a bind, the transition is also in trouble even without Trump gaining power and restoring sanity..
I would wager that most if not all Mainland Chinese Banks are insolvent. To stay afloat, many branches are refusing to allow clients to withdraw more than 500 RMB per day.

Half of Europe is working overtime to keep the German grid up and running. France supplies nuclear energy, Poland reliable electricity from coal, while Austria and Norway have dedicated their hydro-electric storages to German unreliables.
If Germany tried alone, their grid would not last a single day.
Poland is planing to phase out coal. Austria was net electricity exporter this spring in the first time for decades thanks to renewables. France share of nuclear falling while renewable energy is rising. Still started not a single new construction since their lofty “we triple nuclear power” promise at cop28.
On Poland, ‘planning’ is putting it far too strongly. Hoping is more like it, there are no concrete plans. The hopes are for a phaseout in 2049. Right. Comfortably far enough away.
Back in the real world, its interesting what they are building. Nuclear.
Poland derives 70% of its power from coal despite increasing wind and solar generation in recent years. In September 2023, Poland was also given the green light by the International Atomic Energy Agency to construct nuclear power plants and will begin building the first plant at Pomerania in 2026.
On Germany, we are looking at a slow motion train wreck. One that will have European consequences. AfD is rising because of two things, immigration and the economy, and it has connected the economy with climate motivated energy policy and rejected that.
AfD is not the British Conservative Party or the US Republican Party in lederhosen. Its a whole different animal. Watch on September 22 for an update on how they are doing. As you watch, remember what the late great AJP Taylor said, in the foreword to ‘The Course of German History’. He had seen two German wars in his lifetime, and was uncertain whether he would see a third.
We are currently seeing a panicked U-turn on immigration from Scholtz. Basically they have abolished Schengen and reinstated national borders. This is a really big deal in the EU. The next panic, if September 22 goes badly, will be a U-turn on energy. They are right to panic on both counts, they have finally woken up, and they know who and what they are dealing with. Not much more than a week away. Watch carefully. And in the meantime don’t pay too much attention to the party line on the Energiewende.
They have to say something. But watch what they do, when and if it happens.
Most of Europe decided to take the “Blue Pill” and retain their Leftist Blissful Ignorance over the truth of weather dependent low density energy generation.
Sweden recently rejected plans for an interconnector to Germany on the basis it would be detrimental to connect the Swedish power market to the ‘inefficient’ German one
If they don’t connect, there is less likelihood that EU rules will force them to purchase expensive green energy leftovers that Germany can’t use and doesn’t want???
As I said a day or so ago, even a moron with half a brain should come to realise by now that after ~ 40 years of trying to get an electricity grid to provide 24×7 reliable power using only “renewables”, the best that Germany can claim now is that ~ 50% of their power is supplemental “renewables”.
Here’s another reality check – all the “low hanging fruit” sites for wind, solar and hydro have already been taken up, so the chances of getting the remaining 50% up and running in another 40 years time are zero.
40 years – how much production capacity for renewables was there 5 or 10 years ago? How much capacity was build between 1984 – 1994? How much between 2014-2024? How did the technology evolve during the 40 years. Your “it took 40 years to get here” falls apart very fast when you take a closer look about what actually happened.
Here’s another reality check – all the “low hanging fruit” ….
That had been said when they reached 3%. And now they are at 50%. Keep repeating the same talking points for 40 years. At least there is zero development. People here still try to convince others that renewables have an eroi < 1 citing sources from 1990.
Keep repeating the same talking points for 40 years.
That’s all you “true believer” cultists ever do.
So tell us, oh wise one – how many more decades from now after this last 4 of trying will you need to demonstrate just ONE (1) country, state, region, city, municipality, town or village that derives 100% of its utility power from just wind, solar and batteries.
And what does “production capacity” have to do with getting just one small village somewhere up and running 100% on wind / solar / batteries as a proof of concept demonstration?
You can’t point to even one successful RE proof of concept. Not one.
The Wind and Solar project at El Hierro in the Canary Islands was perhaps the best hope for RE (abundant sunshine and reliable Trade Winds), and it failed.
Actually…Germany will be able to replace all their reliable power with intermittent renewables. It will be ridiculously expensive, and dangerous to their energy security, and they will have to pay neighboring countries with reliable base load power generation for the massive amount of power Germany will need to supplement when renewables don’t provide enough. But if neighboring countries also go stupid and shut down their base load power plants in favor of 100% renewables, they will all quickly revert to the Dark Ages, which they won’t because the prols will overthrow the government when the pain gets too big; standard human behavior.
IEA ‘Electricity 2024 Analysis and forecast to 2026’
“Prices of electricity for energy intensive industries in Europe in 2023 were almost double those in the US and China and the gap has widened putting EU energy intensive industry competitiveness under pressure”
Germany is at the forefront in this, witness the latest problems reported here recently at Volkswagen.

The solution to Germany’s problem is to fire up all fossil fuel and nuclear generators, build new fossil fuel and nuclear generators and remove all wind and solar from the grid. And for god sake quit cutting down your forests in the name of renewable energy. This is really simple.
NOBODY IS CUTTING DOWN FORESTS FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY, YOU DUFUS! Now watch me get dozens of thumbs down because people here can’t grasp that the chips that go into energy are just the junk unusable for timber, paper or even firewood. Before you pass along idiotic comments like that- that come right out of green propaganda- try talking to a forester.
It’s not rude to say the truth. It’s false and nothing but ignorant propaganda to say we are cutting down forests for renewable energy. In fact, wood energy IS RENEWABLE energy. The fact that I get down votes- I couldn’t care less because I know forestry better than anyone here- especially the fools who say we’re destroying forests for energy. You have NO IDEA WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT.
OK, got it. The reason I misunderstood it as that there have been many discussions here about woody biomass for energy- for Drax and others. What many people say is the same thing- that forests are being destroyed for DRAX- implying American foresters and loggers are idiots. I would then defend the forestry people, being one of them, and I’d get dozens of thumbs down. So, I agree, I misunderstood that one- but now you can see why. My apologies to Bob. yes, those old growth forests were destroyed for fake renewables.
Yes, I know that but they didn’t cut down those forests FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY- they cut them down because they wanted to install windmills. And, German and other northern and eastern European countries do a great deal of forestry including producing “junk wood” for energy- which in fact, is renewable ad infinitum.
Joseph, read my comment again, I specifically said in the name of renewable energy not for renewable energy. It is a big difference. I’ve been waiting for you to say what you did. Wind, solar and storage can never replace fossil fuel and nuclear energy, it isn’t even close. Wind and solar are a losing proposition no matter how you try to figure it. My suggestion to you is to accept reality.
Got it- I commented above- my bad for misunderstanding you. Listen, I’m not for wind and solar- never said that- I’m only trying to defend forestry- but I did misunderstand your comment. I tend to over react- being rather emotional- I blame it on being Italian. 🙂
I utterly detest wind and solar. A huge solar “farm” built behind my house and yes, I’m a NIMBY! Actually, I think that implies one is for something but not in their backyard- I’m certainly not for it anywhere. I made a video of the construction of that solar debacle – had it on YouTube- I should put it back up.
No problem, I also live in an area that relied on logging for generations. Not so much anymore for several reasons but mainly radical environmentalists. My view is you can manage the forests including logging or you can watch them burn like is happening now. Best to you.
You obviously did not watch the video link I gave you the other day. It was made by the Panorama investigative team for the BBC back in 2022 investigating DRAX pellet sources in North America.
That program of facts based on interviews and film footage proved beyond doubt what material and how much clear felling was being done to feed the DRAX pellet demand.
Remember this is the BBC an organisation I do not promote because they are too fixated on the merits of Green everything. Even they had to accept DRAX and wood pellet combustion for electricity production was crazy.
NB I actually own woodlands I was born on a wooded small holding and am familiar with all woodland good practice. I use fallen branches thinnings and dead tree felling timber for fuel which is a good habit.
DRAX is not a sustainable or good practice business, it is simply milking the grant support provided by the UK tax payers to falsely claim their wood burning is a positive green policy.
They do clearcutting yes- and the better wood goes to other uses- the “junk wood” goes to energy. THAT’S A FACT. Don’t pay attention to lying propaganda sites like the BBC. You don’t trust them regarding wind and solar but you trust them regarding forestry in North America? And yes, Drax is milking subsidies- but that has NOTHING TO DO with the forestry work in North America. Nobody is going to chip up a sawlog or veneer log into chips because forestry people are not f*ucking morons, which is what some of you believe- probably mostly you Brits who hate DRAX because you’d rather it burn coal. Fine, burn coal, but when you suggest American forestry firms are stupid, you’re pushing propaganda. you love to deconstruct green propaganda, but you’re not smart enough to deconstruct the BBC’s bullshit about forestry? I’ll repeat myself- NOBODY IS CUTTING DOWN FORESTS FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY. Last I heard, about 3% of all the wood cut in the American south, the wood basket of the planet, goes into energy products.
Joseph,
I wish I had the blind confidence in the forest management and practices you clearly have.
I do not advocate listening to the BBC on anything normally for obvious reasons. However here was a production of investigative nature by the hyper woke hyper green BBC and even it could not dismiss the absolute truth. Drax has its own felling teams and own pellet production business in North America.
They were fined earlier this year by the watchdog Ofgen for failing to document and failure to disclose where its pellet wood was being sourced and under what conditions. The fine was £25 million.
I have done my best to provide evidence of, shall we call it mischief, as opposed to down right fraudulent activity by DRAX regarding wood pellet production. If you choose to still think it is unbelievable they would do what the Panorama team said, then ask yourself, why did DRAX not immediately sue the BBC for false broadcasting?
I don’t have blind confidence. I have 50 years experience as a field forester. Every industry makes some mistakes and has some fraud. But you can be sure that good saw timber or veneer timber is worth many, many orders of magnitude more than wood for chipping. There is so much wood in the American south- that there is plenty for every need. But if you’re going to clearcut, and most southern forestry practices “even age mgt.”- so clearcutting is common, they aren’t going to send a tree worth thousands of dollars “on the stump” to a chip facility. There’s no need to because there’s so much wood down there- hundreds of millions of acres of managed forest- most of which was cotton plantations. When they do the clearcut- they have people who specialize in deciding which tree or log goes to what markets. Many forests are loaded with low quality wood- so in some cases, half or more might be low quality and end up as chip wood- but that’s different than “they’re clearcutting forests for Drax”. Here in the American northeast- anywhere from 20-90% of the wood in the forests is such low quality – due to past high grading (cut the best and leave the rest). Now, we can hardly manage such forests because we don’t have markets for much of that wood. There used to be a marginal market for it- for pulp, but now most of the pulp industry has moved out of the region. Some of it might go to firewood, but that market isn’t nearly large enough. Forestry here would greatly benefit with a biomass market. Once we get that “junk wood” out- we can start the forest over and focus on growing premium wood. But even then, some will have no other value other than as biomass. Unfortunately, the *&^%$# greens and enviros here have bullshited the state into preventing anyone building a biomass facility or chip plant. There are some north of Wokeachusetts and none south of it- so the market is limited. The greens say biomass is “worse than coal”. What I think of those lying scum-balls I wouldn’t want to post here. The leading biomass haters are leading greens worldwide into not allowing biomass energy. I could on about them all day as I’ve been fighting them for years with no success since this state is the greenest on the planet, IMHO.
The biggest liar on the planet regarding woody biomass is Dr. Mary Booth, a chemist. She has a big web site and she’s linked with all the other forestry haters- which is their real goal, stop forestry. Like the Stop Oil fanatics. Her web site is: https://www.pfpi.net/
She’s closely allied with Dr. William Moomaw who was once an IPCC editor. He’s also a chemist. These 2 know zero about forestry and almost zero about the climate- but they’re good at giving speeches to naive people who are “tree huggers” and the like, especially woke politicians. And the tree huggers manage to have a lot of political influence here in Wokeachusetts.
Moomaw is the fantasy creator of “proforestation”- a theory that to save the planet, not only do we need to stop all carbon emissions, we need to do more- we need to lower the CO2 in the atmosphere and one way to do that is to lock up all the forests so their only function is to sequester carbon. Of course he lives in a nice 4,500 sq. ft. wood home in elite Williamstown, home of Williams College, one of the lesser known Ivy League colleges. He taught at Tuffs for many years. In 2017 I sent him an email, and a very polite one for me- addressing some of his concerns about forestry and asking him questions- which he refuses to respond to because he knows so little. Yet, they are both listened to by the green fanatics who spread their crazy ideas. One result is that the state of Wokeachusetts put together a “climate forestry committee” that had Moomaw on it. Their conclusion calls for “climate smart forestry” which means “cut less often and lighter”- which will truly kill forestry because that’s not an economic way to do forestry- which these clowns either don’t understand or they do understand very well!
The fact that there is a huge housing crisis in America- and that wood is needed to build housing because we don’t want to live in cement block housing so common in the 3rd world- that doesn’t bother them. If you tell them that cement has a higher carbon footprint than wood, they’ll say it’s not true- but of course it is!
But I do see the problem with Drax. I’ve been told there is coal nearby not being used as the mines were shut- which is stupid. And the subsidy issue of course. Valid arguments- so Drax may be a terrible idea- but that doesn’t mean America is burning forests. There are of course forest fires in the Western part of America- but it’s the wrong way to discuss the chip industry.
Oh, and that Mary Booth, who also hates all forestry, a colleague of mine got a photo of a big pile of firewood behind her house. She whines about the evils of forestry but benefits from tree cutting. Does that remind anyone of the ff haters who enjoy fossil fuels?
Hypocrites, these forestry haters, using the climate issue to kill a great industry with a large, hard working labor force- mostly black folks in the south. And when such forestry is done well (it often isn’t)- it really improves those forests.
And of course I’m totally in support of never cutting old growth forests anywhere in the world. There is no need to if all the non old growth forests are well managed.
I only watched parts of the debate. From that, I thought Trump did pretty well. Then I watched some of MSM news clips on YouTube and what the nighttime comics have to say. They all make it seem as if Trump performed horribly while Harris shined as a genius. I’ve often said here that I’m not a big fan of Trump, but their portrayal of his performance is just egregious. I’ve been slowly turning against them for years- not easy when you grow up in Wokeachusetts, but they really suck big time. It’s amazing that anyone could believe their BS. Trump looked presidential- Harris looked like… I dunno, not the slightest bit presidential. I really think Trump will win by a landslide. I sure hope he does. Of course he won’t win Wokeachusetts- which I contend is the most woke place on this planet. I feel I’m now liberated from their dogma.
Of course leftists think Harris was amazing. Did you think they would say otherwise? Trump did astonishingly well debating 3 people who opposed him. Did the debate matter? Probably not at all, except for the people who were undecided and did their own fact-checking afterward and discovered that:
Trump is factually correct on most of what he said, though at times he exaggerated to drive home a point,Kamala was factually incorrect on numerous points (okay, she lied and she knew it),For the most part, Trump answered the questions put to him,Kamala never answered questions about her policy failures, instead evading and talking about her “middle-class” upbringing, her “values”, etc; anything but the awful results of the current administration’s policies,Kamala kept promising to do things that she could already have done—but didn’t—as Vice President of the U.S., tasked with overseeing border enforcement by President Biden, which makes you wonder if any of her promises are real, or just said to get elected.

The Trump/Harris debate was informative on many levels, I watched the whole thing. 3 on one with both ‘moderators on Harris side is not fair and balanced.
And for the record, Haitians have been imaged taking wild duck and geese from the Springfield Ohio pond for food. True, not yet documented cats—that was a different Ohio town. But documented 24 December traditional rural Haiti cat feasts.
As to documented, well, here is what Trump said when asked for source:
” In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating — they’re eating the pets of the people that live there.”
and when queried, it went like this:
“DAVID MUIR: I just want to clarify here, you bring up Springfield, Ohio. And ABC News did reach out to the city manager there. He told us there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community — FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, I’ve seen people on television DAVID MUIR: Let me just say here this … FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: The people on television say my dog was taken and used for food. So maybe he said that and maybe that’s a good thing to say for a city manager. DAVID MUIR: I’m not taking this from television. I’m taking it from the city manager. FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: But the people on television say their dog was eaten by the people that went there. DAVID MUIR: Again, the Springfield city manager says there’s no evidence of that. FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: We’ll find out”
It may be an idea, but it is not a fact. When you look into the geese story, it comes down to one unnamed person phoning police with that claim. Doesn’t say they were pets.
Given lots of incidents like this have happened before, it’s the city manager’s denial which IMO is implausible, not the reports by residents of what is happening in their city.
“Given lots of incidents like this have happened before”
Evidence? Trump saw it in TV? How many incidents? Who said what?
“it’s the city manager’s denial which IMO is implausible”
That’s the logic here. We have no evidence, but the city manager denied it, so it must be true.
Finally, a correct use of the term “denier.” The left’s use of the term is that when you oppose their positions and not the thing that’s being denied–like “election denial.” “Election denial” means you deny elections, but it apparently means you deny that a valid election took place–when it didn’t. The same is true for the term: “climate denier.”
Mr. Stokes: No, that’s not the logic here, that’s the strawman you so often present. I live about 10 miles west of that town, you are across the world, wanna compare notes? The folks Trump saw on TV were ordinary citizens who have been complaining about these very things, he didn’t make that up. The logic is that these folks showed up weeks, if not months, before this was in the national news, they said what they said (it’s been on our tv news, how about you??) and were very credible. The logic is, they have no reason to lie, so I get there before I even consider what the city mgr says. The city mgr (to analyze further) is essentially saying that if the folks didn’t produce video, it didn’t happen. And you believe him.
I only step in when I’ve caught you out. Let the wriggling begin.
So what did they actually say? That their pets had disappeared (it happens) and they could only think that they had been eaten by Haitians? Any actual evidence?
Russell Cook has an excellent post upstring which you evidently overlooked. You have demonstrated an elastic concept of the term “evidence” (I’m being kind), so you can see it for yourself above, and explain how it’s not “evidence” in your next post.
My point remains, you’re in AU, first heard of this from Trump, right? And you’re gonna argue with folks who saw this on local news long before it became national news. Please do go on.
“Russell Cook has an excellent post upstring”
Typically third hand, or worse. Russell does not have an excellent post. He has a link to someone’s highly political tweet, which shows a police report with no specifics (except no police action resulting) and a video of someone ranting at a City meeting, again with a bunch of third hand stories (and no more clarity than Trump). Also a picture of some normal looking geese.
“you’re in AU”
The rumors have been dismissed by Mike DeWine, Republican Governor of Ohio, by the mayor of Springfield and by the City Manager.
Mr. Stokes: From across the world, you read sources and never wonder if the city officials who created the sanctuary, and the Springfield News Sun that supported the policy, are credible. You cite these sources with NO ANALYSIS WHATSOEVER of the sources. You can’t read that these folks must deflect, and must imply that local residents are lying, because they won’t take responsibility. How predictable are you now? Note my prediction above re your treatment of Russell Cook’s evidence. Trump relied on reports, and you rely on reports, your power of analysis is equal to Trump’s.
I cite reports from known pulic figures. I can tell you what they said. You know nothing about the origin of your “reports”, and can’t even tell us what they said.
Mr. Stokes: I’m here. “Origins” of local news video of residents at city council meetings before this hit national news?? I think the local news folks use a cameraman, how does your local news take video? Origins, indeed.
I can’t tell you what they said? Where’d you get that? And if I do, it’s not evidence? I’ve seen you jump down a rabbit hole before, not gonna waste my time telling you what you already know.
Well, you haven’t told us what they actually said. How about a first person quote? The only actual incident mentioned on the thread was a case where someone rang the police saying that Haitians were observed in a car with geese. No licence plate details. The police couldn’t get anywhere with it.
So Trump, who is not allowed to bring notes to the debate, is supposed to verbally provide detailed references and footnotes on demand? Okaaaay, then.
Trump did in fact provide a reference: it’s been reported on TV. Look it up yourself.
It’s also been reported in articles on the internet. A simple Google search would quickly demonstrate that Trump is right. In fact, one of the most popular searches on Google the day after the debate was “Haitians eating pets”. Guess what it revealed? That Haitian migrants are snatching geese and ducks from public places and presumably eating them, since it’s unlikely they are keeping them as pets. I wonder how many people suddenly discovered that Trump was, once again, telling the truth and the legacy media was lying.
The moderators who were busy defending Kamala at every turn and (fake) “fact-checking” Trump never bothered to actually do a real fact check (because “moderating” the debate wasn’t their goal; it was to help Kamala as much as possible). They certainly didn’t fact check the dozens (literally) of outrageous, easily refuted lies (some 30 plus) that Kamala trotted out. I was astonished by the number of times she said things that have already been debunked by the legacy media (and Snopes.com).
“is supposed to verbally provide detailed references and footnotes on demand?”
If you can’t give better substantiation than “I saw it on TV“, then don’t say it.
“That Haitian migrants are snatching geese and ducks from public places and presumably eating them”
Again, just one unnamed person phoning the police. But note the prejudicial framing. Is hunting and eating ducks and geese something that other humans don’t do?
I’ve hunted ducks.
So hard to hit the little buggers when they’re on the wing.
After so many misses, I was starting to believe that their quacking was actually them laughing at me.
If I was into duck meat, it would be infinitely easier to grab them from a park pond.
Which you cite again, knowing NOTHING of your source. Your lack of interest in any counter source is noted, you may continue to try to fool people that you know something, but your biased analysis is exposed here.
Mr. Stokes: I saw it on tv, local news, you are so far out on this one, am I laughing. Please reply to me if you wish to tell me, from AU, what’s happening on my local news. As usual, whatever you can’t abide is “not evidence”.
“Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, says Springfield, Ohio officials “have no evidence” of Haitian migrants eating pets there, a claim amplified by former President Trump during Tuesday night’s debate, saying, “I think we go with what the mayor says, he knows his city.”
“The internet can be quite crazy sometimes,” DeWine also tells “
Mr. Stokes: DeWine simply repeats “local officials have no evidence” line, is that what you consider “evidence”? So, your “evidence” is 1) “local officials” and 2) Gov. DeWine repeating what they already said. This is how we see you evaluate evidence-badly. DeWine chose not to speak to the residents who have spoken at council meetings, reported long before he showed up, strong evidence if you ever review it. Funny, I followed the story, saw DeWine’s appearance reported, video of the statement you quote. I turned to the wife and said, Gov DeWine just told us the reports are not true, so we’re rushing in money and state troopers to deal with what isn’t true. Live time. You read the same report days later, but you didn’t see the contrast? Your analytic power way overrated.
The most biased thing ABC did was to repeatedly give Trump the last word.
He was left looking stupid with nothing to protect him from his own foolishness.
They gave him the rope and he hanged himself.
On the bright side, the rest of the world had a good laugh at him. Disney corporation do know how to get the most chuckles out of a comic figure called Donald, whether duck or turkey.
Mr. Courtney: I didn’t watch, so I’ll take your word on that, but you seem to have backed off your mockery of the claims Trump made re Springfield. Are you? It would be wise to do so, you are making assumptions about something that I’m watching, some first-hand.
During one of London’s periodic outbreaks of severe riots, I was travelling to the client site in London every day, watching the smoke clouds rise over London. Every 5 minutes someone would call out “I have to go! the rioters are at the end of my street!”, and rush home to save their family – a hopeless task, because the rioters were seconds from their front door. And I remember sitting there thinking, I’m the biggest fool of all – I live further from home than anyone else in the office. My wife is home with my young child, and I’ve left them defenceless, because I found it easier to mindlessly stick to my routine and trust others to ensure everything will be alright.
I remember thinking “this must be what it was like in Sarajevo during the Serbian invasion of Bosnia – people commuting to work, trying to tread the normal patterns of their life, while all around them everything went to hell.”
At that point I got up and left – and didn’t return until the riots subsided. Most of the people in that office stayed, and kept coming in to work, at least those who hadn’t yet received the emergency call from their spouse. But everyone else looked at me, they knew they should be doing the same, but they – I don’t know what stopped them. Maybe they were frightened, sticking to routine trying to do the same things you always do, it can be comforting, you can pretend everything is the same as it has always been – until the day comes when sticking to the routine is no longer possible.
Realize that Germans swallowed the NAZI propaganda–hook, line, and sinker. Now they are embarrassed to admit to it. We were at the famous Nuremberg playground a few years ago. They are scrubbing NAZI stuff continuously. They found some NAZI symbols on the roof of the grandstand, and removed the grandstand. I think we should retain some of this stuff–to warn future generations of our evil past. There is a NAZI museum that shows some of the evil.

“luxury brands, which include Porsche, Audi and Lamborghini, are selling better than VW models” Which tells you the wealthy are not being impacted by increase in cost. They have so much money they don’t even bother to count costs.
Australian researchers are also examining how green iron can support the decarbonisation of Germany’s economy, while maintaining jobs and the productive capacity of core industries. The University of NSW has been selected to lead a team of academic and industry experts on behalf of Australia’s consortium.
They’ll sure show that Twiggy Forrest how it’s done with a ‘consortium’ of taxeaters.

Trump performed well during the debate regardless of the eaten dogs/cats issue. The recent Rasmussen poll (the only one that does not suffer from the selection bias) predicts substantial 62 to 35 Trump lead over Harris.
They do indeed eat dogs in Korea and China. Check it out.
And Indonesia. Just ask Barack Obama.
And in Subsaharan Africa, where people also eat gorillas and chimpanzees (“bushmeat”).
He probably overdosed on red bull to handle the amount of spinning he has to do to make trump not look insane. Now everything got wings!
Only two people looking DERANGED here are Luser and MC.

Russia and China are far more fearful of Trump than a 3fer.
Fearful ? Have you forgotten last time and Trumps best friends Putin, Xi and Kim jung un
What do you mean by a 3fer JZ?
“A typical Trumpism to be taken seriously not literally.”
IOW, a lie.
No Nick, it’s like saying “It’s raining cats and dogs”. Something like a metaphor. Don’t be so literal!
Only now not raining…
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3BrCvZmSnKA
You are a mental case Puker.
The best way to deal with dangerous adversaries is to act friendly towards them. That does not imply accepting their actions as friendly.
That, and the drug cartels bring them across.
That and the drug cartels are forming organizations within COTUS.
They have pretty much ignored ALL Laws, and invented some in their attempts to stop PJDT and anyone who desires to MAGA.
I agree. A lot of elite Democrats should be going to jail over their efforts to subvert U.S. law and the U.S. Constitution.
The radical Democrat elites/DC Swamp are the existential threat to the freedoms of all of us.
Hanoi Jane Fonda for one.
It is hilarious that Bush, Cheney and Romney supporting Kamala…your TDS skirt is showing indeed
I wouldn’t call it “hilarious”.
Part of the uniparty war machine
TDS = Trump Derangement Syndrome
‘they’ wouldn’t have any reason to throw their ‘Comm/rads’ in jail.
That’s because of Trump, not Harris.
Trump is one of those people who is only ever trusted by those who’ve never met him.
The reason is obvious.
And if you can’t work it out, think about Trump’s history of adultery and fraud.
You really are a supporter of President Trump. As you point out, his “history of adultery and fraud” is trivial compared to that of Harris!
Posted with zero evidence. This is a lie.
I did see it, yes. Great example.
Omg Bill Clinton indeed. I bet you like war 🙁
Could you outline Trump’s history of adultery for us?
My bet is you have NO evidence to support the adutery claim.
Trump and Stormy Daniels both say they did not have sexual relations with each other.
Trump may have had an affair with a Playboy model, but even that is questionable.
And I’ll bet you can’t name another woman that Trump alledgedly had an affair with.
You insinuate that Trump had numerous affairs. Where’s your proof?
I’m saying you don’t have any.
Same for the fraud charges.
I’ll check back later to see if you reply.
He’s regurgitating the standard MSLSD/CNN lies.
Yes, that’s my take on it, too.
The pratfall is, he’s not debating Biden.
He’s running against the policies of the Biden-Harris Administration, Hotscot. Policies that she has previously touted and taken credit for influencing. I’m not aware of a single Biden policy that she has repudiated. She cut-and-pasted his policy website into her own.
Maybe I am misunderstanding your comment?
Putin, Bush, Romney and Cheney endorse Kamala…a match made in hell
Mr. Courtney: And here, your TDS is picked up by one of our more moronic house trolls. You can’t know what is going on in Springfield, aren’t you across the pond? Anyhoo, the fact that this fool agrees with you should give you pause.
There are several credible eyewitness accounts of Haitian immigrants in Springfield Ohio snatching cats from the streets.
No official reports…
That does not mean it did not or does not happen. It just means a bureaucrat does not have an official report.
That the reports are anecdotal (unofficial) does not mean they happened. It does not mean they did not.
The salient point is, that lacking an official report does not prove anything other than no official report was written/submitted.
I think (mo) the salient point is that the pols/officials do not want to acknowledge the occurrences ‘might’ be happening.
You don’t get to declare what is reality, and being deceitful makes you the weak looking one.
The end.
your DTS is showing !!
“having been outclassed for an hour.”
Outnumbered 3 to 1 with moderators ignoring all the lies and deceit from the camal.
The camal produced nothing, avoiding even simple questions, and certainly had zero class.
Some wags have said it went in one ear and out the other
You poor camal lover !!
“according to some”
According to some ignorant twits.. we all know that “facts” are immaterial to the far-left that you apparently are part of.
A “lie” to a leftist is a truth they don’t want to hear.
Strange you think the ear isn’t part of the head.. are yours between your arse cheeks ?
There are long lists of the camal’s LIES further down.
Are you into all the other leftist things… like gender changing, men bashing women in sports etc??
.
Falsehoods 😉
“This business about taking everyone’s guns away — Tim Walz and I are both gun owners.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This is true.
For other individual statements by Kamala Harris, their verdicts were as follows.
“As of today, there is not one member of the United States military who is in active duty in a combat zone, in any war zone around the world, for the first time this century.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : This needs context.
“When Donald Trump was president, 60 times he tried to get rid of the Affordable Care Act — 60 times.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : False.
“Donald Trump left us the worst unemployment since the Great Depression.” — Vice President Kamala Harris
NYT verdict : False.
I live in one of them, CO.
Infanticide.
Don’t underestimate him, it isn’t ramblings. It’s dehumanization of minorities to shepherd the population into accepting violance against them.
https://abcnews.go.com/US/bomb-threat-reported-multiple-buildings-springfield-ohio/story?id=113619803
Or as I’ve read somewhere:
Vice president performed a late-term abortion on a 78 year old baby live on national tv
ABC news.. that the same ones that destroyed any chance of a decent debate by constantly disrupting and fact-checking Trump. (and getting their fact-check wrong every time)
… but totally ignoring all the LIES and ANTI-FACTS from the camal?
Most people saw through the DECEIT…. but not the blind luser.
You argue like your hero – no substance, just words and name-calling
Substance.. only a mindless twit like you can’t see straight through the camal.
The camal lied and deceived her way through the debate with empty rhetoric, with heavy backing from the moderators.
And, as some have stipulated, with answers fed through her earrings???
https://www.aol.com/ohio-sending-troopers-2-5-225832541.html
Some of the lies Harris told during the debate:
1. ‘Middle-Class Kid’
2. Trump’s Tax Cuts
3. Trump ‘Sales Tax’
4. Jan. 6
5. Project 2025
6. Just Restoring Roe
7. Pro-Life Laws Criminalize Miscarriages, Ectopic Pregnancies
8. Trump’s Abortion Stance
9. Ninth Month Abortions Don’t Exist
10. Border Bill
11. SCOTUS Immunity Ruling
12. Fracking Ban
13. Minnesota Rioters Bail Fund
14. Trump’s Role in J6
15. J6 Deaths
16. ‘Fine People’ Hoax
17. ‘Bloodbath’ Hoax
18. Trump’s NATO Comments
19. Autocrats’ Preferences for President
20. Combat Zones
21. Blaming Trump for Biden’s Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal
22. Gun Confiscation
23. Trump’s Foreign Policy Record
24. Defunding the Police
25. IVF
And she missed the hoax Biden usually mentions about the D-Day dead were suckers and losers.
J6 . The Senate bi partisan report says 7 people died in connection to the riot, which Trump instigated… his rally outside the WH
Trump DID NOT instigate the riot.
Stop LYING .. you make yourself sound like a very ignorant rabid leftist.
Ashli Babbitt was the only person killed in the riot on January 6.
I think her government-employee shooter got a promotion.
What did Liz Cheney discover about this killing? Not a peep out of ole Liz.
Funny how prior to the 2016 election, Pelosi declared that if Trump was elected, she would get him impeached.
I may be misremembering, but didn’t they have articles of impeachment drawn up before the inauguration?
Really? Got a link?
I’m guessing that’s a “no.”
I’m guessing that’s a “no.”
No, That’s a “i’ve been busy all day and Simon needs to learn to read”.
Go back and read exactly what I said, starting with the first four words.
Have you found the Russia colluuuusion 😉
Yep, shall I list them all….. again?
lol you are a clown show indeed. You list all debunked crap. Trump owns you.
“his rally outside the WH”…??? Some distance away, I think.
Bipartisan 😉
Lies aside she responded to every question BUT did she actually answer any question as posed?
I think not!
“And she missed the hoax Biden usually mentions about the D-Day dead were suckers and losers.”
So you are saying General Kelly is a liar? You believe Trump over a US Marine Corps general? Well there you have it folks. A fine example of a true disciple. Looking back, people are going to wonder how he (Trump) ever conned so many people.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/john-kelly-confirms-trump-privately-disparaged-us-service-members-vete-rcna118543
Ahh the Russia colluuuusion clown appears
And just in case the down votes made you feel butt hurt
I’m lookin’ out for ya
“So you are saying General Kelly is a liar? You believe Trump over a US Marine Corps general?”
I do. To both questions.
About two dozen others at this ceremony say it didn’t happen.
Do you really think Trump is dumb enough to call the honored military dead “suckers and losers” in front of numerous military people? Use a little logic and common sense.
“Do you really think Trump is dumb enough to call the honored military dead “suckers and losers” in front of numerous military people? Use a little logic and common sense.”
I do to that question.
I’m not anti American. I’m anti Trump. I think that’s pro-American.
That would make me incorrect, but it wouldn’t make me a liar, if it is an innocent mistake.
https://www.npr.org/2022/02/19/1081948863/vice-president-harris-meets-with-ukraine-president-and-ally-countries
The problem is Trumps account makes her out to be unable to control Putin, which he is at pains to say he is able to do. Fact is no one controls Putin. And we saw in Helsinki how easily Putin played Trump when he announced to the world that he believed his Putin over his own secret service.
You believe Trump over a US Marine Corps general?
I believe the multiple people who have contradicted his claim.
Well Tony, who are these multiple people? Are they military people, or Trump sycophants? I’m guessing option 2. Prove me wrong…..
Interesting theory. I guess we will never know for sure. It just depends who you believe.
“McCain killed the bill that would have killed Obama’s “Affordable” Care Act, and McCain did it, just to spite Trump.”
I’m picking you don’t like the ACA? I think you will find most Americans are quite fond of it. I see Trump is no longer in a hurry to say he wants it gone. Where is Trumps health plan anyway? He’s been promising it forever.
Wasn’t Kirby an admiral?
I wouldn’t believe Kirby over anyone. Rank doesn’t necessarily correlate with honesty. But it does correlate with saying what is ‘needed’ at the time.
His name is Kelly not Kirby….. Where did Kirby come from?
Bidens National Security Liar Advisor.
Admiral and serial liar …
Good description.
Baghdad Kirby, it fits.
And I’ve read a third report that said General Kelly wasn’t around Trump on the day in question.”
Nope to all of that. Clearly you read nonsense.
Hey the anew York Times won a Pulitzer Award for their original work on Russia colluuuusion and it was all fake news. Have you seen your pee pee tape 😉
You really are a one track pony aren’t you. Do I keep you awake at night?
We’ll find that pee pee tape. Until you do people need to be reminded of your stupidity. Now run along until you do.
“Clearly you read nonsense.”
So, show us a video of General Kelly making the statement.
Here’s a comprehensive report. Enjoy
What a crappy report. General Milley should have been court martialed for treason. Still no video–just quotes.
Yeah, and there is no evidence Kamala ever worked at a McDonalds, as she claims.
I guess this falls in the “unsubstantiated assertion” category at the moment.
Trump is now saying that Kamala is outright lying when she claims she worked at a McDonalds.
So once again you think Trump is telling the truth?
By the way, the SCOTUS decision on Roe Vs. Wade declared clearly that there is on Constitutional right to an abortion.
~Ahem~
“The muppet just lost it…..”
“……followed by ranting wibble wibble wibble“
You argue like your hero – no substance, just words and name-calling
That’s what you call a “self-describing statement”
3 fact checks , 40 plus Trump lies if you include his lies on policy matters.
Lies about real events are rightly flagged …. some states executing babies after birth is serious level nonsense
Minnesota health dept reported in 2021 that at least 2 living babies aborted late term had to be left to die “with comfort”. No medical care.
So not “executed”, but inhuman behavior nonetheless.
This practice is abhorrent.
I don’t care who y’are.
If I were left to die deliberately, I would feel like I was being executed.
So you are totally ok with aborting a child , up until the moment it is born.
You really are a sickening little piece of anti-humanity, aren’t you.
Harris certainly murdered a man child the other night in a debate….
So why is the opposite true? And why is the Harris campaign demanding another debate? Usually that’s what losers do.
Trump survived three murderers in that debate and survived being shot in the head. Every fact-check of Trump turned out to be wrong.
Yeah, if the moderators had fact-checked Kamala even once, she would have been sputtering and stammering.
Kamala was in the same school class as the female ABC moderator.
The line I heard is they were in the same sorority.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/kamala-harris-sorority-sisters-abc-202706034.html
“Both Harris and Davis were members of Alpha Kappa Alpha—but they attended different universities, and Davis graduated from college more than decade after Harris.”

“Every fact-check of Trump turned out to be wrong.”
No. You can read who told porkies here. Truth is both did, but Trump wins
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/fact-checking-the-harris-trump-debate
Yeah! The hallmark of truth-tellers: PBS. What a joke.
Harris didn’t win that debate. Harris couldn’t win a debate if she were the only participant!
“and the undecided are breaking towards Trump.”
Yes, they are.
And they did a live poll that went on during the entire debate, and the Republicans and the Indepedents were very close to each other in their approval of Trump’s comments.
They were way up here, and the Democrats (and Simon) were way down there.
Which reviews from which leftist media outlet?
Fox news.
CNN and Russia colluuuusion

You are going to be so disappointed in November.
You’ll say: How did I miss this?
Well Tom….. as long as one of us is mature enough to pat the other one on the back (metaphorically) and say “well done buddy…. you were right.” I’m working up to it just in case.

end
Other reports say that after the debate six out of ten undecided voters are going to vote for Trump.
All the leftwing pundits think Kamala won the debate, but their bias is showing. The undecided voters are going with Trump.
Crazy how republicans are so concerned about the myth that babies are murdered after they are born, but they are silent about the fact that guns are the number 1 killer of children in the US.
“. . . the myth that babies are murdered after they are born . . . .”
Apparently that occurred in Minnesota–under Governor Tampon Walz. So it’s no myth.
Lies ?? .. according to the far-left …. who are invariably wrong??.
…. but not according to reality.
The candidate [Harris] is a longtime friend of Dana Walden, a senior Disney executive whose portfolio includes ABC News, the host of the next debate.

“minorities”
You mean the CRIMINALS crossing our borders?
Hey DATA DENIER, Man made global warming cultist.
Harris LIES BY SUBJECT
1. Bloodbath Hoax
2. Fine people hoax
3. Police dying on Jan 6
4. Violent crime being down
5. Taking away your guns
6. Importing Haitians
7. Border Crisis
8. Economy/Bidenomics
Do you want to buy a bridge.
“It’s dehumanization of the American people to shepherd them into accepting violence against them by an illegal-entry minority..”
But that is what the far-left is all about… DESTRUCTION OF SOCIETY and HUMANITY.
Unless, of course, it’s really the Ultra Left Liberal Media that’s lying to Obfuscate the truth by painting Trump a liar to cover their own culpability
“No-one is eating people’s pets. “
Say the far-left…. so you know that in a few weeks, it will be proven fact that they are.
Or as is time honored tradition on the right:
Every accusation is a confession
When you grow up, little boy, you will find yourself becoming more conservative. Hard to believe, but it’s likely.
Wow, you nearly got it right… amazing
What you meant to type was…
“Every accusation of the far-left is a confession”
And an addition to that
“Every DENIAL by the far-left is tantamount to a confession.
The term is psychological projection. Seeing your own worst traits and beliefs reflected in the actions of others, especially opponents.
Lab leak anyone?
Hunter’s laptop?
How about Russian Collusion?…it worked for them the last time!
Perhaps Kamala should promise student debt forgiveness??
Simon is the local expert on Russian Colluuuuuusion.
Funny, I thought it was the Russian Delusion
Toe-may-toe, toe-mah-toe…
Wow! Perfect projection, Lusername.

Haiti is, and always has been, a shithole. Now they’re importing their shitholeness to America. Yay!
Consumption of dog and catmeat is perfectly normal in Central Africa. It would be strange if the Haitians had not brought the practice with them when they were taken to the New World.
REPORT: Police Call Suggests Haitians Are Indeed Killing Local Geese in Ohio
Ohio Residents Sound Alarm: Haitian Migrants Killing Local Geese, Causing Chaos (mrctv.org)
The enviros, especially hard core bird watchers, must be happy- they hate Canadian geese.
Well, to tell the truth, so do I. They are messy birds. However, they are Canada Geese–supposedly named after the discoverer and not the country. On a trip through the St. Lawrence River and down the Northeast coast, we were told that–by Canadians.
No no no, it’s Canadia. If Americans are from America, Canadians must be from Canadia.
Humor. A difficult concept.
The geese do produce excellent down insulation. However, I prefer the geese to live on professional farms, not each defecating 4 lbs a day onto the lawns of our local park. It’s unsanitary and unsightly.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost backs claims about Haitians eating geese – Washington Times
Remember USA-UK -CiA -Mi6 – Bush&Blair conspiring to attack Iran.
100% true.

If you had just a little bit more brains- you’d put a quote in that post- because few will look at a link when they don’t know what its about.
Good advice.
The Daily Beast…….
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s assuming Biden-Harris hasn’t destroyed ICE.
MCourtney,
Maggie Thatcher was as close to a Goddess as is possible. Infallible in thought and action.
The German greens are doubling down on a failure. Their actual emissions are nearly the same, and building more and more wind and solar did not change that.
CO2 production in Germany has declined as their industry moves to China. China’s dominance in making BEVs is not doing China’s economy much good at the moment.
The Germans have dropped their economy into a hole with the Energiewende, but they steadfastly just keep digging.
Of course Germans eat dogs. They invented them. Hot dogs that is, usually made from pork or beef.
Or “blockade mutton” when things get tough.
Perhaps the Germans got their economy (and menu) mixed up with that of Haiti. ? 😉
They also eat Hamburgers.
Were Hot Dogs called Cold Dogs during the Ice Age Scare of the 70ies?
If Germany wasn’t being so successful with the energiewende, sites like this wouldn’t feel the need to bash them. So I take articles like this as another approval that things work out just fine for Germany.
Main reasons people voted for them were immigration and crime. A topic artificial inflated by the party, and people fell for it and voted for them.
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/11/world/europe/trump-germany-russia-gas.html
Yeah, the average german didn’t laugh about trump…
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/02/28/german-carnival-mocks-donald-trump-theresa-may-political-floats/
You know why they made it, don’t act stupid on purpose. You know trump made the comment to incite violence against minorities.
And it worked.
No, thanks to rising gas prices, as clearly seen in the quoted study. And that had nothing to do with their green energy policies – contrariwise, more focus on renewables would have made Germany more resilient against the rising gas prices.
https://www.iea.org/reports/renewable-energy-market-update-june-2023/how-much-money-are-european-consumers-saving-thanks-to-renewables
Sadly I wanted to post Germany mocking trump on Sunday, guess you were faster 😀
Mocking Trump for saying that Germany shouldn’t rely on Russian gas.
Germany has pretty much the HIGHEST electricity prices in Europe.. Saving money.. yeah right !!!
And those prices were the highest even before the Ukraine debacle.
And wind and solar “resilient”.. lol… you really are off in the clouds of la-la-land, aren’t you, child..
Those minorities you so love, are actually INSTIGATING violence around the whole of Europe.
Hopefully coming to your neighbourhood soon, so REALITY might finally impinge on your tiny little mind.
SELF-mockery is so much a leftist “thing” isn’t it, luser.
You don’t act stupid.. It is your whole being !.. Your meaning in life.
MUN,
IF (1)Germany actually was being successful with energiewende AND (2) consumer electric rates were lower (as promised by “Renewables are the cheapest form of energy”) then (3) sites like this truly WOULDN’T feel the need to ” Bash Them”.
Nothing to say about Volkswagen closing its plants in Germany, partly due to high energy prices?
China’s economy has hit a speed bump. Coal stockpiles are 650Mt. Not far below what USA produces in a year. Iron ore prices are going down. That impacts Australia’s income and ability to continue the transition.
It is currently impossible to make wind turbines and solar panels from energy that these devices produce so the countries chasing NetZero have to rely on China for all the stuff.. With China’s economy in a bind, the transition is also in trouble even without Trump gaining power and restoring sanity..
China has a banking crisis on a scale the world has never seen, when it crashes we’ll likely enter a new Great Depression.
Except for places with presidents who work to decouple their economies from China, before it all falls in a heap.
“Poland is planing to phase out coal.”
Don’t plan on it. What with their fears of Russia, they know they need dependable energy. Let us know when they get to zero coal use.
France nuclear output highest in 3 years Q1 2024.
Flamanville-3 / France Announces Startup Of Long-Delayed EPR Nuclear Power Plant (nucnet.org)
Macron restarts France’s ‘nuclear adventure’ with plans for 6 reactors (ft.com)
Why is everything you type so provably WRONG
.
And if Poland and France have no RELIABLE supplies.. where does Germany get electricity from . ?
Why are you and your anti-life cronies so intent on the destruction of western society… that you live in.
Why are you so intent on destroying the fossil fuels that provide for every aspect of your existence.
Isn’t your life PITIFUL enough already ??

“Austria was net electricity exporter this spring in the first time for decades thanks to renewables”
You mean HYDRO !
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1234896/austria-distribution-of-electricity-production-by-source/#:~:text=Hydropower%20is%20the%20main%20source,in%20terms%20of%20renewable%20output.
Yep…
Austria energy is 59% Hydro so 59% of exports were from Hydro
Austria is 12% Wind so 12% of exports come from Wind 40% of the time
Austria is 9% Solar so 9% of exports come from solar 26% of the time from 10am-2 pm
Let’s ask VW what they think.
For Myusername –
That had been said when they reached 3%. And now they are at 50%. Keep repeating the same talking points for 40 years. At least there is zero development. People here still try to convince others that renewables have an eroi < 1 citing sources from 1990.
That’s all you “true believer” cultists ever do.
So tell us, oh wise one – how many more decades from now after this last 4 of trying will you need to demonstrate just ONE (1) country, state, region, city, municipality, town or village that derives 100% of its utility power from just wind, solar and batteries.
There’s probably some “town” in California with a population of 3, who don’t bathe very often.
And what does “production capacity” have to do with getting just one small village somewhere up and running 100% on wind / solar / batteries as a proof of concept demonstration?
As Albert was reported to have said –
“just one will do”
Obviously he doesn’t know who you’re talking about. It’s a quote from Einstein referring to Special Relativity.
It actually applies to science in general.
” At least there is zero development.”
Just DUMB.!
…. zero reliable energy….. of course there is zero development !!!
And what are German electricity prices doing.. hint… ↑ ↑ ↑
Grid wind and solar are horrendously expensive to implement…
… and in the long run are totally UNSUSTAINABLE.
Is that 50% for one minute, or one hour, or one day, or for the entire year?
Last year, Germany’s total energy consumption was 75% Coal Oil and Gas
For electricity production only (not counting coal and nuclear imports…)
12% solar, 27% wind
and 61% from reliables: nuclear, coal, oil, gas, biowaste, hydro
In the UK they like to report the percentage for unreliables on a half hour supply basis.
You can’t point to even one successful RE proof of concept. Not one.
The Wind and Solar project at El Hierro in the Canary Islands was perhaps the best hope for RE (abundant sunshine and reliable Trade Winds), and it failed.
If RE in Germany is such a success, why is electricity so expensive? Why are companies like VW abandoning the nation?
Actually…Germany will be able to replace all their reliable power with intermittent renewables. It will be ridiculously expensive, and dangerous to their energy security, and they will have to pay neighboring countries with reliable base load power generation for the massive amount of power Germany will need to supplement when renewables don’t provide enough. But if neighboring countries also go stupid and shut down their base load power plants in favor of 100% renewables, they will all quickly revert to the Dark Ages, which they won’t because the prols will overthrow the government when the pain gets too big; standard human behavior.
the prols will overthrow the government when the pain gets too big
Yes, they will replace the current political establishment. But the question is: with who and what?
What did the Germans use to light their homes before candles?
Answer: Electricity.
(Old joke).
Industrial Electricity Prices
including taxes and subsidies:
Germany 21 US cents per kWh
United States 8 US cents per kWh
China 9 US cents per kWh
Makes it impossible for Germany to compete.
German businesses should move to Africa, Philippines or India where they could just tap into a low-hanging cable, plug in, and switch on.
Someone else gets the bill too.
Sweet!
Germany residential rates 47¢ kWh makes it will impossible to survive for long
IEA ‘Electricity 2024 Analysis and forecast to 2026’
“Prices of electricity for energy intensive industries in Europe in 2023 were almost double those in the US and China and the gap has widened putting EU energy intensive industry competitiveness under pressure”
Nope you are wrong and rude.
Mr. Zorzin: If a tree is removed for a solar or wind project, it’s not for chips. You misunderstood his point, he never said “for drax”.
Er, Joseph I think you’ll find that Germany cut down iconic ancient forests to site a windmills or solar farm fairly recently.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/09/07/world/europe/eu-logging-wood-pellets.html
So your point is, windmills and solar are not renewable. I agree that they aren’t, but you would need to explain what you are saying.
I would not argue with any of that Joseph.
I gave you an upvote. That’s my virtue signal for the day.
I came close to touching the plus button for your comment, but my hand pulled away on it’s own.
You should have one more than is shown.
Use the force, Luke! Let go!
He told us there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community —
FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, I’ve seen people on television
DAVID MUIR: Let me just say here this …
FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: The people on television say my dog was taken and used for food.
FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: We’ll find out”
ROFLMAO.
As is the city manager is going to admit to the truth. !!
And ABC news.. seriously !!!
Some people are more honest (do you know what that word even means?)
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost backs claims about Haitians eating geese – Washington Times
Is it such a far fetched idea that they would eat cats and dogs as well.
The leftist DENIAL… is next week’s fact !!
“Is it such a far fetched idea”
It may be an idea, but it is not a fact. When you look into the geese story, it comes down to one unnamed person phoning police with that claim. Doesn’t say they were pets.
How do you know it is not a fact ?
Only the far-left “fact-check” denial machine says so.
Cats and dogs are part of the normal Haitian diet.
The best comment I read concerning the ‘debate’ went something like this
We are just waiting for the two ABC moderators to present their closing statements in support of Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party’ –
Brilliant stuff..
Yes there is evidence.. been posted.. you are a DENIER.
“The rumors have been dismissed by Mike DeWine, Republican Governor of Ohio, by the mayor of Springfield and by the City Manager.”
In other words, people who allowed it to happen, and have a vested interest in keeping it quiet. Sounds familiar…
Here is a thorough debunking by the local newspaper, the Springfield News-Sun.
Hey … ‘no evidence’.
CO2 as the control knob: ‘Hey … ya just gotta believe’
But you can’t tell us who they were or what they said.
OK, there is video of someone ranting at a meeting, but with no more first hand information than Trump. Just a recital of rumors.
You should stick to shilling for the IPCC, Stokes, this TDS schtick ain’t working.
I can’t tell you what they said? Where’d you get that? And if I do, it’s not evidence? I’ve seen you jump down a rabbit hole before, not gonna waste my time telling you what you already know.
“Where’d you get that?”
Well, you haven’t told us what they actually said. How about a first person quote? The only actual incident mentioned on the thread was a case where someone rang the police saying that Haitians were observed in a car with geese. No licence plate details. The police couldn’t get anywhere with it.
https://www.aol.com/ohio-sending-troopers-2-5-225832541.html
Yep, the FACT that the moderators let the camal tell so many blatant porkies…
… yet fake-fact-checked Trump, says all you need to know about the bias and lack of integrity of the moderators…. and the whole ABC network.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost backs claims about Haitians eating geese – Washington Times
The fact that Nick is in DENIAL, shows it is almost certainly TRUE.
Now he is condoning taking wildlife from local parks .. to eat.
What an immoral, anti-social prat he is.
Next he will be wanting wind turbines on the hills around Moyhu.. right Nick !!
“Now he is condoning taking wildlife from local parks .. to eat.”
Again just making stuff up. Who said anything about “local parks”?
So do you condone duck hunting? Even geese?
Poor Nick,
Can’ see the difference between actual hunting and taking from local urban ponds.
Shown up yet again as an anti-society, hypocritical, sanctimonious twerp.
I’ve hunted ducks.
So hard to hit the little buggers when they’re on the wing.
After so many misses, I was starting to believe that their quacking was actually them laughing at me.
If I was into duck meat, it would be infinitely easier to grab them from a park pond.
Mr. Stokes: “Local parks” were mentioned in the local news reports SEEN BY ME, which you refuse to consider. Please reply.
Here is a thorough debunking by the local newspaper, the Springfield News-Sun.
Which you cite again, knowing NOTHING of your source. Your lack of interest in any counter source is noted, you may continue to try to fool people that you know something, but your biased analysis is exposed here.
So how much of Kamala’s stuff was “as seen on tv”? 😉
How can you be so politically blind to actual facts?
Deliberately and idiot-illogically.
Mr. Stokes: I saw it on tv, local news, you are so far out on this one, am I laughing. Please reply to me if you wish to tell me, from AU, what’s happening on my local news. As usual, whatever you can’t abide is “not evidence”.
Here is Ohio’s Governor, Mike DeWine:
Here is a thorough debunking by the local newspaper, the Springfield News-Sun.
The police complained of being sent off on a “wild goose chase”.
Done and done.
We are all looking forward to your grovelling apology when it turns out that Haitians have indeed been eating people’s pets in Ohio.
Nitpick Nick Stokes strikes again!
Rest of the world is laughing at idiots like you.
Your TDS slip is showing
Great comment. Can I steal it?
There won’t be a change until Germans are starving. They are delusional and far too trusting of their government… still!
People are sometimes really slow to wake up.
And they’re likely the ones most pushing the green nonsense.
Slim pickings now in Germany I suppose so you can’t blame them for branching out and going where the money is with subsidy mining-
