John Kerry to leave White House to assist Biden re-election campaign

Kerry’s office announced the news on Saturday after he had informed his staff and spoken with Biden earlier in the week

John Kerry, the United States’ special climate envoy and former secretary of state and presidential contender, plans to leave the Biden administrationlater this winter and switch to helping Joe Biden campaign to be re-elected to the White House, Kerry’s office said.

Kerry informed his staff earlier on Saturday after speaking with Biden this week, a spokesperson for Kerry told Reuters.

Politics news outlet Axios first reported the news about Kerry, 80, on Saturday.

He believes that a second term in the White House for Biden would be the “single biggest” difference for progress in the climate crisis, Axios reported, initially citing a source close to the administration.

Imagine having someone on Kerry on your side while you are trying to win an election.

Kerry is kindof the gift which keeps giving, for us at WUWT. Here’s my favourite example of Kerry trying raise climate awareness, managing to offend pretty much everyone by comparing climate action to the D-Day pushback against Hitler;

Biden climate czar John Kerry likens D-Day invasion to battling climate change: ‘The fight of our times’

Thousands of American and allied servicemembers died in the June 6, 1944, invasion

By Brandon Gillespie | Fox News

Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry celebrated the 79th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy by likening the historic event that resulted in the deaths of thousands of American and allied service members, and the eventual victory over the Nazi regime, to the fight against climate change.

“Today is June 6th. D-Day. One of the most singularly important moments of history,” Kerry told those in attendance. “A moment that calls to mind every single thing that defined the past half of the 20th century and beginning of the 21st century.”

“They were fighting for a set of values I would say to you are just as important today as they were then. They put their lives on the line to fight against fascism, tyranny and misinformation and the savage slaughter of innocent lives,” he said.

“Make no mistake, just as that was a fight for the future as much as anything we have ever faced, what we are seeing now is the same,” he later added.

“What is also clear right now is we can also win this fight, but it requires the same level of innovation and mobilization that was required back then by those in the greatest generation,” he said. “Today’s threat comes from all of us. It comes from the result of the things we do or avoid doing.”

There is no word on exactly what Kerry intends to do for the Biden campaign, though it seems obvious Kerry will be involved with injecting energy into the Biden campaign, and winning over young voters.

Lurch was never elected. He wasn’t confirmed by the senate. He wasn’t funded by congress. Other than that…

Yes, House Republicans were asking Kerry all about those things last week in a hearing and Kerry stonewalled them and gave them no answers.

Next thing you know, Kerry resigns as Climate Czar.

The idea temp for the earth is 72F 22C. The same Temps we used to heat houses to before the environmental madness struck. The same temp that leaves try to achieve to maximize photosynthesis

We better enjoy Kerry’s absence while we can. Kerry, at COP 28, admitted that a 3-fold increase in nuclear generation was required. Don’t be too surprised when his replacement back-peddles that statement explaining that’s not he meant.

Smoke screen for Kerry to bug out. He doesn’t give a damn about anyone but John Kerry.

He is correct in one regard.

A future life without fossil fuels will be desperate, and short.

Back to the Dark Ages and the age of superstition and ignorance, where Kerry came from.

I misread the headline. I thought the idea was that the fact of John Kerry resigning would help Joe Biden.

Or did I?

Amusing. Does Lurch imagine that Swift Boats can float Sleepy Joe to victory? Remember, Lurch has a career record of abject failure at everything EXCEPT boinking and marrying rich women. So he’s been a successful boy-toy, but it’s uncertain how this helps the Dems in 2024.

The Dems and RINOs that support the deep state will pull every dirty trick they can to keep Trump from the WH.

In Iowa they say a lot of dems will declare their Republican in the Primary to vote for Haley.

Let’s just hope the Republicans learned their lesson from 2020.

A lot more scrutiny is required. If they Democrats are not watched, they will cheat.

Without cheating, considering the current dire situations inside the nation and outside, any Republican should trounce Joe Biden at the polls.

The crews of the Swift Boats Kerry served with in South Vietnam scuttled Kerry’s presidential bid all by themselves, imo. They showed Kerry to be the liar that he really is. The American people saw the real John Kerry. The ugly John Kerry.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the Swift Boat crews for their military service, and for telling America the truth about John Kerry when it really counted.

This is a good idea provided he’s not replaced with yet another eco-geek full of impractical theories of phasing out fossil fuels and replacing them with renewables that can’t come close to fulfilling normal energy demands even under ideal conditions. Just look at the extreme cold currently gripping much of North America and consider how effective wind and solar would be providing heat and electricity during such a cold snap.

A rundown of how windmills and solar faired in this arctic cold front will be interesting. They didn’t do so well back during the very extensive arctic cold front of February 2021, which plunged all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico and almost put Texas out of business. The windmills and solar couldn’t help Texas. Natural gas came to the rescue.

That’s Babylon Bee level curated sarcasm right there.

Well done.

Yes, this is worth a few favorable survey points for Uncle Joe. Unfortunately, there are 20 other high officials as bad or worse than Kerry still on the job.

He would make a great critic of any American involvement. He’s very practiced at that. If you want someone to hobble effective American foreign policy, call John Kerry.

From an Aussie who is appalled by the US electoral shenanigans (mainly it would seem from the “Democrats”) and USA loss of any form of moral authority, could this be a back room attempt to get pressganged into the Democrat candidacy to replace a demented Biden and an idiot VP. I don’t know enough about the way the US system works to know if that is possible, so it’s probably a stupid question but happy to be enlightened because the US government matters to the world not just the US and it is a very scary world at the moment.

There is a lot of “talk” about not allowing Creepy Joe to be the marxo-democrat party nominee in November, who is nominated by delegates to the party convention in Aug.-Sept. The delegates are supposedly apportioned by how many votes candidates receive at the various state primary elections held during the winter-spring. But the Demos have under-the-table rules about so-called “super delegates” who can vote any way they please (these delegates made sure Bernie Sanders, open socialist senator from Vermont, did not become the party pick in 2020).

So even if Brandon still puts on a show of “running” in the state primaries, and he is currently unopposed, they can still yank him for someone else at the convention. The problem the Demos have that there is no one else, all the high-profile state governors and senators are kooks with no viability with voters. The VP, Kackles Kamala, could not even get 1% support in her home state of California in 2020.

No, nobody wants John Kerry to run for president, even in the Democrat Party. He had his time and failed miserably, for good reason, and Democrats are not looking to go that route again.

They would love to have California Governor, Newsom as their candidate. You know, the guy who says California will pay all the health care costs of any illegal immigrant that manages to reach California.

I’m kind of glad he made that offer. Maybe all the illegal immigrants and their associated problems will head to California and save the rest of us the expense.

The Republicans should say: Newsom wants to turn the United States into California. And then Republicans can show videos of defication on the streets of California cities, and the homeless camps, and the crime and all the businesses moving out of California along with a lot of the population.

Bring on Newsom! He would be a highlight reel of radical Democrat stupidity.
