“I didn’t expect that”: Catholic Nun Tackles and Drops an Eco-Activist

Essay by Eric Worrall

h/t Dr. Willie Soon, Climate Depot – Don’t mess with this sister!

From Climate Depot :-

“I didn’t expect that ,” expressed Sylvain Hérenguel, co-president of the association for the future of the Bourges valley. “ I expected the nuns to be a little reasonable for the public order . The problem is that the religious decided to resort to violence. I was attacked 3 times by five people, who snatched me, who wanted to throw me out. There, They decided to protect the site with their actions and their bodies ,” he added.

Calm then returned. However, the nuns continue to surround, on the basis of a human chain, the backhoe loader supposed to carry out the work.

“Prevent the destruction of a rare plant”: “They do not have authorization to destroy the habitats of protected species ,” denounces the head of Ami.es de la Bourges…Generally speaking, opponents fear the deterioration of the site along the river and the nuisance generated by the massive arrival of pilgrims. …

Since 2018, the project to build a large Catholic religious center in Saint-Pierre-de-Colombier, in Ardèche, has been controversial. This Monday, October 14, environmental activists fiercely opposed the nuns trained in a human chain to protect the completion of the work.

What can I say? I bet that nun’s students get all their homework in on time.

Not quite on topic but it’s a protest all the same. Just saw that Greta was arrested in London.

Don’t know about that . The Norwegians invented the term Quisling and Equinor rips off the people of UK with their ghastly birdchoppers . They also fund the horrendous caerbon footprint of EVs in Norway via the Sovereign wealth fund £1000 subsidy per EV by selling oil and that takes 100,000 miles to work off. Never mind the horrible costs of pollution and slavery involved in making the nasty inflammable things. All in all a worse carbon footprint than a diesel SUV. And the nasty little environment-despoiling thug Thunberg facilitates all of that duplicity.

That they were able to break those bits of (soil) pipe so easily looks to me like they were doing the nuns a favour – the silly old moos had been ripped off.

Assuming that that was 110mm PVC soil-pipe and in my experience, it should have been a lot stronger than what we saw there.

(Unless the weather as very cold – it gets brittle then – BUT, the supplier should have accounted for that)

I haven’t seen much violence in the video of the street sitters getting dragged off the road either.

Most of these people have gone through their entire lives without seeing real violence (‘cept maybe on TV). If things keep proceeding on the same trajectory they have been on for the last few years this whiny piece of shit (complaining about nun violence) is certainly going be subject to whole new and different perspective.

Ms Pinchbeck said the UK needs “a power sector two to three times the size of the one today to power that future economy and to build five times the amount of infrastructure in the decade ahead as in the previous three.”” How much will that cost and who will pay for it?

“… And hanging over all of this, the havoc that rising temperatures and extreme weather are already inflicting on countries and people across the world.” [she said] The UN IPCC says that extreme weather has not grown worse in over 120 years. Additionally, describe the “havoc” caused by a temperature rise of 1.1℃ since the end of the Little Ice Age. The “havoc” seems to be a boon to mankind.

I read that the soon to be Chair at OFGEM is thinking about sacking Johnathon Brearley, ex author of the Climate Change Act. Apparently all is not well at OFGEM.

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/oct/18/ofgem-boss-may-have-to-go-amid-energy-complaints-incoming-chair-says

MPs on the energy select committee said there were concerns about Ofgem’s future direction and asked Mark McAllister, the government’s pick to chair the regulator, whether he would consider replacing the chief executive, Jonathan Brearley, if he found he was not leading the watchdog in the right way.
McAllister, an energy executive who is expected to take up the role of chair next month, said: “I would if I found that was the case.”
Ofgem has been widely criticised for allowing poorly capitalised new players to enter the market for supplying electricity and gas, resulting in a string of corporate collapses when energy prices soared.
McAllister told the pre-appointment hearing that he planned to challenge Brearley on his dealings with the energy industry, as well as on the regulator’s internal struggles.

Yes, the Catholic Church distinguishes between the Church Militant, the Church Suffering and the Church Triumphant.
The term “church triumphant” underlines the truth that in the glory of heaven all human sin will have been transformed, death and suffering will be no more, and the glory of God will have triumphed over all the imperfections of human history.
The church militant refers to the Church on earth. The term “militant” can suggest an antagonistic relationship between the Church and the world. Nevertheless, it refers to an authentic reality: that the Church on earth works to overcome the imperfect and sinful dimensions of human existence.
The Church’s mission is not to oppose the world and society, but to work for their transformation by the convincing preaching of the Gospel and by the edifying power of the good works and example of those who are baptized into Christ. The Church’s best asset is the saintly activity and example of those who have chosen the Christian way of life.
The church suffering refers to the church in purgatory.
https://www.simplycatholic.com/the-church-triumphant-militant-and-suffering/
As for being militant in the other sense, as Stalin once asked, “How many divisions does the Pope posesss?” Benedict XV was well-known for his attempts to bring the First World War to an end.
With regard to the lady in the video, she may be a religious sister, not a nun. There is a difference. Quite an important one. But most people haven’t a clue what that difference is. It’s rather like many people’s knowledge of the Catholic Church in general. Pretty abysmal.

So now being “ecologically responsible” means steaking PVC piping smashing it into tiny bits and grinding it into the dirt, where most of it will stay and then we will have to waste more FF derived energy and FF natural resources to make more plastic.

That is the level of stupidity and hypocrisy they have attained.

October 19, 2023 8:26 am

A battle of belief systems – catastrophism versus Catholicism. Fortunately the Catholics here are actually fit for the battle because they work hard every day and don’t live frivolous, self indulgent lives.

October 19, 2023 9:02 am

They came there to oppose the approved construction, and start smashing pipes as can be seen in the video, and then have the audacity to claim victim status when the nun tries to stop him from stealing the pipes.

And all the nuns that I’ve had as teachers were awesome!
