Essay by Eric Worrall
Apparently its not OK for climate protestors to stop America’s elites from attending important events.
Watch: Native American Tribal Police Bust Up Climate Change Activists Blocking Road to Burning Man
JORDAN DIXON-HAMILTON 28 Aug 2023
Nevada Tribal Rangers on Sunday plowed through a climate change protest that caused a miles-long backup blocking traffic to the annual Burning Man festival.
Video footage from Sunday showed the Nevada Tribal Rangers successfully breaking up the demonstration by driving a truck through the blockade. Close to 150 cars were reportedly halted on the only road to Burning Man due to the protesters.

For anyone concerned about the level of force the rangers used, Breitbart notes the sheer irresponsibility of the climate protest. Being trapped in a road jam in the Nevada desert heat can be life threatening. To deliberately create such a road jam is grossly irresponsible, and if anyone came to harm, would likely lead to accusations of criminal negligence.
While drivers could obviously have turned back, doing a u-turn in such conditions, with non a zero risk of high speed oncoming traffic, could have been very risky.
Having said that, one of the rangers is apparently under review for his actions;
One of the videos features a protestor screaming “We’re environmental protestors”, as they are rounded up and carted off.
If the protesters had stuck to lawfully waving a few banners from the side of the road, without inflicting their eco fascist roadblock onto other road users, I would have defended their right to protest, and of course, the right of drivers to ignore them.
What can I say? Don’t mess with Nevada police, especially the native rangers.
Franky I am surprised that some of the blocked drivers did not take matters into their own hands and remove the protestors blockage and all.
There’s video of people arguing with the entitled eco-fascists and then attempting to physically move them before the police arrive, although I was surprised at how subdued the reaction was. They should have channeled that German (?) lady who pulled the idiots off the road by the hair.

Here’s a 5 minute clip
Someone ought to have gagged that screeching Karen !
What a LOSER !
Everything they do is for the cameras. It’s not even for the environment, but most of them don’t realize it. These are the cannon fodder, not the brains behind the outfit. If they die protesting, it’s a valuable pawn for the brains to exploit. A little bit like the old poker saw, “if you don’t know who the mark is, you’re the mark”.
The ranger who drove through is under disciplinary review. Hopefully he gets a medal.
I initially thought the gun was overdoing it. But, since he was along with an angry mob around him, it was probably appropriate.
Somebody on another group posted it was a taser.
Yes, looking again it seems you are right. I didn’t pick that up first time.
I thought every roadside interaction begins with a gun drawn until they establish no one else is armed.
They are a bunch of hipsters out for a weekend of recreational drugs.
I was disgusted how weak and pathetic they were. I thought they would get ten men together and remove this tossers from the road but no, they just stood there after a half assed attempt.
Jeez, there was flat , dry terrain either side of the route, most of them were in SUVs, they could have just driven around this pathetic blockade and flipped them off on the way by.
Road blocks don’t matter if you take a helicopter or airplane, which 1%ers do. The guy below lands there and shows some sights about the area.
Doesn’t look like he’s prepared for several days in a sunbaked desert, e.g. copious water.
Perhaps he plans to fly to Vegas after the parties end near dawn?
Law-breaking thugs. Time they were all arrested and incarcerated. That’s not a protest – it is deliberately inconveniencing those road-users, and MUST be stopped!
They can protest at the side of the road all they want… nobody would care…
… but they have no right to block other people’s passage.
“but they have no right to block other people’s passage.”
It’s OK between consenting adults !!!
Ouch!
Let’s face the irony.
Most of the people attending the event are of the same persuasion. They are largely blocking their own kind from attending one of their own celebrations.
Inconvenience? 90 degrees plus out in the desert sun can be more than inconvenience. Car overheats running the aircon, running out of gas. No services, no water.
It can be a lot more than inconvenience. And its not just people going to burning man, other people live out there too. Its a reservation, not a private reserve for the privileged.
This was the Burning Man, you mean the cars weren’t electric?
There is a dry lake bed near the protest site and so many hungry ants.
Move the protestors to the lake bed and chain them to their black piece of metal.
Then the Burning Man attendees can honk and wave as they drive by the now occupied lake bed.
While they’re not looking, pull and keep their AC fuses. See how they like the long drive back to civilization.
They should have been dragged about 50 yards off the road, paired up and their left legs cuffed together. THen leave them, only able to walk in circles….
They could, but they would also be breaking the law and charged with assault, disorderly conduct, etc. etc. Law enforcement is the appropriate means of dealing with it, and law enforcement properly dealt with it.
I thought it was fantastic! If you have seen the longer version of the video that back up was miles long. You would also see that before the cops arrived some drivers did try to move the trailer and the protestors resisted.
I Love the idea that cop made them get down on what had to be hot asphalt. Need more of this.
There were drivers in Washington DC confronting alarmists blocking their roads. I just saw a few seconds of it, so don’t know how far it went, but the drivers were in the face of the protestors.
They didn’t use enough force.
I think he used about as much as he could reasonably get away with.
Excellent job.
So these are the activities we occupy ourselves with here in the western world. While in China they are busy weaponizing everything we have created ( and they have stolen and enhanced, manufactured etc) including weaponizing our own culture( and snowflake citizens) against us. I was just listing to an interview on how China has made major advances in weaponizing the human genome against their adversary’s ( that is you for any loony AGW activists out there) Talk about a threat to mother nature!
Makes climate change protesters and even the event it self seem like fiddling while Rome burns.
The interview was with Brandon Weichert on Ask Dr Drew about China’s plan for world supremacy- some pretty startling information which seems to confirm my worst fears that we have majorly underestimated China- they are already ingaged in “ unrestricted” cold warfare with us – Trump tried to counter it. But Biden took the dough and pulled the plug. Just marvelous, but I digress as usual.
No need to worry about China their whole economy is a giant Ponzi scheme that’s about the collapse. The danger is the fascists in charge couldnstartbthrowingbtbeir nuclear toys around when it does.
I see where Biden lifted restrictions on 25 Chinese companies the other day.
The Chicoms are getting their money’s worth with Biden.
Tribal police? Tribal land? I’m guessing they’re not subject to state and federal laws. Don’t mess with the Indians on their own land.
Pretty sure the Ranger will be cleared.
Also I wouldn’t call Burners “elite”. They’re naked hippie pagan fire worshippers and peyote poppers, but don’t like being stuck on a Nevada highway in August by spoiled envirowhackos.
What the Paiutes’ ancestors would have done to them is NSFW.
Here’s the location in Google maps

From Eastern Oregon to Reno and Tahoe is one of my main trap lines. I’ve even enjoyed the hospitality of the Shangri-Lounge.
Those “protestor” fools should have known better than to try that in a small desert.
…and a light goes on for me! So, they blockaded motorists in a small desert, to teach them about global warming? Absolutely bloody brilliant! I bet many people will never forget that day they almost fried in the sun, on the way to celebrating the demise of Earth.
These people have serious thinkers steering them 🙂
They’ve made a Saint out of George Floyd, imagine what they could do with a dead dingbat suburban mom.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tI7XiiaWg6o
Milo, you are on track with your description of Burners. I flew commercial into Reno late Sunday, and when a guy (?) sat down next to me, I asked “are you going to Burning Man?”. He (?) replied “yes, how did you know?”. Guess.
It’s not just for hippies. It’s open to anybody and all kinds attend. It’s just a big outdoor party in the desert, like any other festival.
Sorry bud, but you are way behind the times.
Whatever Burning Man started as – these days it is notable more for million dollar encampments than hippies. The hard core Burners have been on site for 2 weeks+ already setting up said encampments; the people in line were the hoi polloi.
Willis is likely in attendance.
I’d like to attend, at least once. But, I like deserts and I’ve wandered many places of the Mojave, in particular.
Yup, sovereign Tribal Land. Different laws. They even limit who may ‘practice law’ on their land. The ‘defendants’ might have a problem even getting a defense lawyer.
Likely to be scalped by those tribal lawyers.
I would guess that “Burning Man” brings in substantial income to the “res”.
These protesters are lucky they were treated so gently. !
It does. The Paiutes have no sympathy for these entitled snowflakes.
Bingo!
You have that right. Tribal land has their own law enforcement and they don’t have the restrictions that our courts place on our police. The rule is when on Tribal land, be extra careful to obey the law. Now should you commit murder, you will be turned over to our legal system because they don’t really have the ability to handle that but don’t expect to be treated well before you’re handed over.
The Indian casino are happy to take your money and treat you well as long as you behave. Just treat them with respect and they will return the same.
If you have lived or worked in Nevada (or anywhere else in the Western US) you know that if you are on tribal lands the rules are different. Get used to it. Don’t f*** with the tribal police and recognize that just by being there you are trespassing. I know it is hard, but your momma forgot to tell you the rules.
Big targeting mistake, eco-fascist narcissists. Wealthy cultural elites will not be inconvenienced. Best sticking to inconveniencing the deplorable working class that those directing law enforcement couldn’t care less about.
Hey Willis, would you agree:
The type of people who attend Burning Man are the type of people who leave the desert cleaner when they depart than when they arrived.
Doesn’t Burning Man leave behind a lot of residual ash holes?
G’Day Bryan,
“…residual ash holes?”
I was hoping Willis might notice and come up with a definitive answer about “ashes”, rather than “ash holes”. I’ve never attended, he has. His report is at:
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/09/09/the-playa-willis-excellent-adventure/
I did Ctrl/F searches. No “ashes”. “Ash” only as parts of words. “Clean” – “Everything is scrupulously clean, not a gum wrapper on the ground. For one week, the city exists in light and glory and flame … and then it is all folded up and taken away, and the desert reclaims the landscape.”
I’d like to hear his answer to both our questions.
I’m guessing that the “environmental protesters” will leave more of a mess behind than the burners.
Perhaps, Willis is in attendance at Burning Man? He speaks highly of attending.
G’Day Gunga Din,
“Perhaps, Willis is in attendance…”
That’s a distinct possibility. Come to think of it, I haven’t seen an article by him in about ten days. He could well be ‘out of town’.
Needed chain/bolt cutter, and a big grinder to cut the trailer into pieces.
How did that trailer get there, towed ? by car ?
And no, they are NOT environmental protesters, hey are anti-capitalist protesters, says so on their sign.
You know, that capitalism that provided for their every want and needs !!
Hypocrites
Get off the bl***y road , and stop thinking you can stuff up other people’s day without consequences. !
One of them was shouting “I’m an environmental protestor, you’re hurting me” – watch the video. But yes, most eco fascists are watermelons.
It’s all for the cameras. When they scuffle with victims of their “protest”, those videos Are never shown.
These wore their red on the outside. Had a sign that said “End Capitalism”
Cutting torch would be more satisfying.
Especially since they probably rented it when they rented the vehicles.
The Reservation should seize their vehicles, chains, locks and black metal trailer frame as accessories to their criminal act.
Then the protestors would have to reimburse the rental company. So sad. 😂🤣😂🤣
What would the legal culpability of the protestors have been if someone driving at high speed (It is Nevada; I’m being redundant.) had crested a small hill and found traffic stopped dead, with ‘Seventh Day Adventurous Hippies’ wandering around on foot taking selfies, and someone had gotten killed?
People who do this need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It is only a matter of time when people do this that someone will die because of it. There are 3 scenarios that come to mind right off. Let’s say there is an ambulance on an emergency call where someone has had a heart attack or stroke and they need to get to the hospital right away. Ambulance gets stuck in one of these illegal roadblocks, patient dies. Or a fire engine is on the way to a fire, gets stuck and someone whom they could have saved dies. Or a semi truck can’t stop in time rear ends someone and kills them. If that ever happens the people doing this should be prosecuted for manslaughter.
I saw a video about one of these roadblocks on a major highway in England. One of the people stuck in traffic was a woman on her way to her mother’s funeral. Missed the funeral because of it. The people doing this couldn’t care less about other people. Throw them in a dark hole and forget about them.
We could also start reducing this lunacy by applying RICO laws. Somebody is funding this criminal activity. Go after them and put them in jail.
So much fun. The protestors chose their Burning Man roadblock on a Payute Indian reservation. The arresting Rangers were Payute rangers. The US Constitution offers NO protections on a sovereign Native American reservation.
So, the sovereign Payute Nation will decide this, not pricey protest UK ER lawyers.
Such a lovely thought!
She spoke the code words for entitled treatment. What happened? Maybe she needed to say it in Paiute or Numa.
All law enforcement everywhere should adopt zero tolerance for any loony groups blocking roads.
Is Burning Man burning more often and more intensely due to climate change?
Actually, Burning Man was a delayed start this year due to flooding from Hillary.
Can you imagine their cognitive dissonance, knowing that “Hilliary” has delayed their good time? BTW, you wouldn’t believe how many in the jam band / festival crowd are firmly of the belief that when the great socialism comes, they’ll be the ones put in charge of partying and concert attending. Oh, and crappy art.
I hope the internet is still available, in about two years, when you are standing in the street, throwing rocks at the vaccine/ climate/ tax police barricading your neighbourhood so you can’t get to a shop for your hungry family.
Before you make rules, my friend, imagine that power in the hands of your most despicale enemy, with no restraint, and tell me you much you like it then…
All what power? All he called for was the police to enforce the existing laws.
Unless you are one of those guys who likes having the police be inconsistent in how they enforce the laws.
Your quote is completely out of context. You obviously have a problem with policing, or the law in general. Please try again..
One of the wags on Gutfeld (Tyrus I think) commented that it was very insensitive of the police not to be driving electric vehicles.
That’s hilarious, if a police officer drives an electric vehicle through an eco-fascist roadblock, does the karma kind of balance out in the eyes of the protestors?
Of course its an unrealistic question – how is the EV supposed to make it to the protest site?
Chris, do you have a link to that Gutfeld! episode where Tyrus says that about EV police vehicles? I do not recall Tyrus saying anything like that, and I watch that show every day.
Regards,
Bob
I’m a bit late here: it was Jimmy Failla who made the suggestion on Gutfeld! on 8/28/23 at around 24:00 — available on Rumble.
That’s not the America I know.
Ohhh, its the Paiute Nation.
I didn’t know FAFO was in the northern Paiute Dialect.
The main banner that says Ban Capitalism gives the game away. These are not Eco warriors they are plain old fashioned Marxists.
The feature common to all Marxists is never let a band wagon pass without jumping on board for a free ride.
The so called protesters were very fortunate. The event called the ‘Burning Man’ could have had a new feature on the side of the road burning brightly to guide the festival goers route.
Banner, not banned, I tried to edit it, but got the too fast message?
Fixed it for you, Rod.
Regards,
Bob
One of them yelled she’s an “Environmental Protestor” as she was being cuffed. Anti-capitalist climate extremists is no surprise.
The nagging question in my mind is that something she was told would prevent her from getting arrested? And who told her and how do they know?
There are many in the American west very upset with “Environmental Protestor”s. Many environmental protestors prevented building and construction projects to “Save the desert tortoise”.
The same environmental protestor people supported huge solar and wind farms, large scale construction that basically kills birds, bats, insects and the endangered desert tortoise. (tortoises must eat and renewable construction projects tends to eliminate their food sources.
The label of “elites” used by Eric is not factual or accurate. Burning Man is a festival open to anybody and everybody, and people of all kinds, all incomes, all wealth statuses, positions, and social status attend. It’s a big outdoor party in the desert.
The bottom line is that nobody has the right to block a public road unless they first obtain a permit to do so (as occurs in a street festival or parade) from the responsible government entity. So the protesters were breaking the law. Regardless of whether there is or is not any inconvenience or risk to public safety.
Nonsense. Nobody pays ~$2500 each to camp in a dusty desert with no services except burners. It’s run by California elite for the elite who want brag about how meaningful flashing lights and fire outside in nowhere land are.
Burning Man in the US and Glastonbury in the UK are festivals for the woke lefty hipster’s with money to burn – dropping the fact that you were a burner or at glasto this year is practically de rigeur for the fashionable set. They might have been for everybody when they first started but they’ve priced most people out of attending now – they’re only for those with money these days.
I’m still amazed that they think doing such stupid things gains their cause any sympathy (let alone converts).
I’m more and more convinced that these idiots see themselves as noble, self-sacrificing crusaders and that they are eagerly doing these stupid things so that they are killed – there’s nothing these muppets would like more than to have a few ‘noble martyr’s’ for the cause.
I’m of the opinion that they are egocentric attention seekers, and often domineering to boot.
Egocentric narcissists tend to believe their every act is noble, as some of the alarmist commenters here are similar.
They will never admit any error.
The big irony here is that probably most of the people in the miles long line of traffic probably didn’t ever find out what the hold up was. But if the protestors had stood by the side of the road all those drivers, and many more, would have read their signs. At least people would have been exposed to their message, instead of just being inconvenienced.
DON’T STOP OIL Protesters-
City Hall faces wave of Ulez camera destruction as Tory MP backs vandalism (yahoo.com)
There was a news article that the low emission zone signs and enforcement cameras were not legal legal legislation, as in no legislation for the low emission zones or cameras.
Apparently, these Native Americans have little patience or sympathy for entitled, white liberals.
The people who are trapped by the protestors have the right to use force. And obviously, just dragging them off the road to let them return is useless. They have the right to injure the protestors, by perhaps twisting or breaking a leg, to prevent them from blocking the road again. Just a few of these actions will surely stop the other protestors.
I wonder if there have been any lawsuits against these kinds of protestors from the people who were blocked. The protestors may not have the funds to pay much, but a court order to pay their victims for their time, at perhaps $30/hr each, may make them regret their actions and discourage others from doing it.
For such a dangerous act, courts will likely find treble damages against the defendants. That is treble damages after agreeing to the defendants owe the inconvenienced for their time, per person.
150 plus vehicles, many with multiple occupants, that adds up quickly.
