German Green Ministers Emitting the Most with Government Flights…Minister Baerbock 5000 Tonnes CO2!

From the NoTricksZone

By P Gosselin

Recall how climate activists demand that ordinary citizens, i.e. “useless consumers”, limit their annual CO2 emissions to just a single measly tonne per person. Currently the average CO2 emissions per person in Europe are about 8 tonnes.

German government ministries run by the Green Party emit by far the most CO2 when it comes to government flights. AI generated symbol image, dall.e 2

Climate activists, like the German Greens, you’d think, would thus themselves be practicing what they preach, at least limiting their emissions to some extent in order to set an example for the rest of us.

To find out whether or not the leading German Greens are preaching water and actually drinking it themselves, economics expert Tilman Kuban of Germany’s opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU), asked the current Socialist-Green government to provide a breakdown of how many flights were made by the government ministries using the German Armed Forces’ Special Air Mission Wing during the current legislative period (December, 2021 to January, 2023).

For the sake of a political overview, there are basically major 6 parties active in Germany. from left spectrum to right: Die Linke, The Greens, The Socialists SPD, The Free Democrats FDP, the Christian Democratic Union CDU and the Alternativ für Deutschland AfD. Currently a leftist coalition made up of the SPD, FDP and Greens make up the government.

Germany’s online BILD daily crunched the numbers on the number of flights and the CO2 emitted by the different ministries and the people who head them.

62% of all CO2 emissions by government flights were generated by the Greens alone

According to the official government data, most of the 11,234 tonnes of CO2 for flights by government ministries so far in the current legislative period are attributable to the Greens: 6900 tonnes of CO2. That is over 60 percent of the CO2 emissions of all ministerial flights.

Top frequent flyer/emitter: Annalena Baerbock

Number 1 among all the ministers is Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Green Party) with 67 flights, 5000 tonnes of CO2 and costs of around 7.6 million euros.

Second place goes Robert Habeck, Minister of Economics and Climate Protection (Green Party) with almost 1900 tonnes of C02 emitted on 32 flights (costing around 3.2 million euros).

In total, 250 flights were taken by the government ministries.

The government’s biggest CO2 emitter is Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) himself (not a minister). According to BILD daily: “The Chancellor’s office took 114 flights that emitted almost 7200 tons of CO2. Cost: more than 11.2 million euros.”

There’s an existing system that stops people from flying. There’s a terrorist no fly list. So just add one flag, that the person is a green.
Then add them to the list. Problem solved.
Personally, I’d add them as soon as they jet off long haul.
They can do a Greta and swim home

Its a pretty good image, the fingers came out distorted though.

If this were labeled Zaphod Beeblebrox, I’d not be surprised.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum

Isn’t it time to state the [rationally] obvious? There is no mann-made CO2 driven climate crisis; so, who emits what is just another rabbit hole to go down. Point out the hypocrisy and you get a predictable response:

“Reporter: I understand you came here with a private jet. Is that an environmental way to travel?

Kerry: If you offset your carbon, it’s the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle.
https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/john-kerrys-ego-demands-a-private-jet/

So, the thing to do is to stop debating climate as if there really is a crisis to disprove. There’s plenty of data to swat their claims dead.

Bring back the scientific – model assisted, not dictated – method.

Why do these ninnies have to personally attend these fantasy confabs? Isn’t there fairly new technology that allows them to communicate through telephone, fax, telegram, email, zoom, etc? John Kerry doesn’t improve his influence by an actual appearance.

If you advocate for a green world you void the use of fossil fuel.

Your statement is confusing, but maybe I’ve had too much scotch tonight. I advocate for a green world, and according to the data, the Earth is greening. I hear that is attributable to more plant food (CO2) in the atmosphere. That is attributed to the use of fossil fuels.

So the statement would seem to be more accurate if stated thusly:
If you advocate for a green world you use fossil fuel.

We had a story all about what’s going on here just recently.

What they’re doing is relieving their own personal Climate Anxiety – they have found ‘escape’

And they’re doing here as we all should. If you don’t, Shirley’s coming aftaya you and she will *not* be OneHappyBunny. Seriously.

Basically, you become a rebel. You do all the things you’re constantly told NOT to do.

It’s been happening in the UK for ages, certainly since this climate thing took off and there was talk of limiting fossil fuel usage. Petrol notably.
Thus: Anybody who could went out and bought one (sometimes more) Great Big FuggOff Sports Utlity Vehicles – gas guzzling monster cars that few could drive or park properly (they are improving tho)

This was done under the pretence that they were safer in the event of a smash.
(This guy is pretending he’s doing it for everyone else’s benefit)

Don’t you just love that: Think of the Children.
Your own children of course (and yourself) while you parade around cheerfully mashing anybody else’s kids in a Fiesta/Micra/Mini/Polo to absolute pulp.

Everything is wrong, it’s all now predicated upon lies (especially to self) wilful ignorance and greed – no-one is immune neither.
starvation is the reason

Highlighting the hypocrisy only goes so far. Turn it around.

Something along these lines: “We see the ministers using aviation fueled by hydrocarbons for the benefits they obviously derive from such travel. We derive benefits from hydrocarbons too! We heat our homes, drive to work and school, power the factories, and obtain reliable electricity from hydrocarbons! And we even travel occasionally by air. Just like you!! So let’s stop pretending hydrocarbons are a problem.”

The Official Secrets Act is being reviewed and updated here in the UK at the moment and journalists are worried about being prosecuted in the future for reporting public interest stories. I guess the CO2 being emitted by government ministers will be of interest to foreign powers and so make it onto the Official Secrets Act, along with our king being given millions of pounds in shopping bags by rich Arab Sheikhs?

during the current legislative period (December, 2021 to January, 2023)” The time period starts with a (supposed) pandemic shutdown and ends with a COP conference to boost green party travel. Not fair, even if you agree with the conclusion.

Who is that supposed to be in the photo? Unless one of them has grown a beard recently, it isn’t either Baerbock or Habeck. This site is not about AI, but about science and truth.

This “photo” looks to me like an own goal by our side. To quote Queen Victoria, “We are not amused.”

I think these bottom feeders should have to buy travel miles from the fossil fuel and nuclear industry. Five hundred to one thousand dollars per ton of CO2 sounds about right. Not everyone is allowed this opportunity to save the planet only the true believers and of course government ministers and such.
