Tony Dyer arrives in Manhattan for climate summit days after Bristol prohibits promotion of ‘polluting’ industries
The Green Party leader of Bristol council flew to New York for a climate change conference just days after the authority banned flight adverts in the city.
Tony Dyer was pictured alongside Zohran Mamdani at the Urban20 Mayors Summit in Manhattan on Sunday as 50 representatives from around the world discussed climate action.
Bristol city councillors voted on Sept 15 to prohibit the promotion of “polluting” and “high carbon” sectors including airlines, fast-fashion and petrol cars, on council-owned billboards, digital screens and bus shelters.
But five days later, Mr Dyer was seen in a photograph shared by Marxist Mamdani, sitting with other mayors on the open-top deck of a New York City sightseeing bus.

Greens? I have come to think of them as “weeds”: a weed is a plant considered ‘undesirable’ growing where it conflicts with human preferences, needs, or goals.
But the weeds are not the environmental movement they once were. They are down the same track as child star Greta. It’s a weird balancing act between conservative islam, transgenderism and as an afterthought, the climate. And they are very much chasing the same votes as Labour. Advertising, ie banning it, has long been the silver bullet of public health fascist tendency. Baron Khan of Tooting through his control of Transport for London has led the way.
Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, an interactive comedy with food and dancing, is currently running at the Arcelormittal Orbit in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and will be playing at Wonderville from 15 July but the marketing team had to redesign the posters after they were banned by Transport for London (TfL).
The advertisement, which depicted the performers Ronnie Burden and Alabama Boatman on top of a Victoria sponge wedding cake covered in white icing, was considered to be in breach of TfL’s food and drink advertising policy. – Broadwayworld
I was on the tube on Monday last – the misery (Northern) line – and TfL must be losing an awful lot of revenue from the empty advertising spaces…

IMHO, this version has never been close to being matched by any other singer or band, considering its energy, perfectly-timed singing, backup vocals and wonderfully tight musicianship (focusing on synthesizer, percussion and horns).
My only regret: there doesn’t appear to be a full video of this entire song by Otis and his cadre, only the snippets in the movie.

Actor DeWayne Jessie played the frontman, Otis Day. Jessie lip-synced the vocals, while singer Lloyd G. Williams provided the actual vocals.

When I think about the range of looney enthusiasms, policies, and witch-hunts daily on display I wonder if it was ever thus. Or do we live in a uniquely deranged time, without precedent?
It worries me what nonsense I may have absorbed in my youth that remains unnoticed within me still…

in a specific country in Europe.

Find out when he returns and ambush him at the terminal with four or five journalists ( if they still exist).

It is trying to walk a fence, for example eliminating tax on road fuel for a while to reduce costs to consumers.
Criminal climate activist Stephen Guilbeault left the federal Cabinet because it wasn’t doing enough.
(That’s David who jetted around the world saying something like ‘It’s a tough job but someone has to do it.
The Stephen who trespassed and vandalized private residences and the CN Tower to pressure politicians and promote his agenda.)
They’ll be apoplectic when Conservatives win elections.

A circus in British Columbia with rise of provincial Conservative Party then its slide to nothing then resurgent in the face of an election forced by a devious Marxist Premier to exploit its weakness.
The Conservative Party blossomed from decades of negligible over MLA John Rustad quitting the United Party because its leader believed the climate panic, other MLAs followed, so the United party collapsed.
Much turmoil in the CPBC due to new leader who ultimately resigned in face of bailout of MLAs. Facing the phoney election they are coalescing into a renewed CPBC.
While some past ‘United’ party leaders try to horn in, Raeside: B.C. political parties are rising from the dead – Victoria Times Colonist. (Other tombstones are past names of the party, going back to the misleading ‘Social Credit’ name swiped from a funny money scheme in Alberta that could not be implemented because the federal government controls currency.)

My understanding is that bureaucrats—just like kings and queens—have long held the equivalent of a Papal dispensation to state, with a straight face: “Do as I say, not as I do.”
So what else should be expected? Reducing air travel should be the goal of other people, not the ones who are trying to save the planet from climate change caused by emissions from aircraft or any other article of comfort and convenience. Let’s not forget that the thousands of COP conference delegates don’t worry about their emissions because their efforts are too important in the first place. Let everyone else just stay off the roads and out of the skies.
The fact is that no climate conference anywhere has made any difference in the amount or rate of increase of atmospheric CO2.
So they should all stop attending because it is not working.
Climate and science mean nothing to these knuckleheads the only thing that matters is politics, control and power.
