Green council bans airline adverts – then flies leader to New York

Greens? I have come to think of them as “weeds”: a weed is a plant considered ‘undesirable’ growing where it conflicts with human preferences, needs, or goals.

But the weeds are not the environmental movement they once were. They are down the same track as child star Greta. It’s a weird balancing act between conservative islam, transgenderism and as an afterthought, the climate. And they are very much chasing the same votes as Labour. Advertising, ie banning it, has long been the silver bullet of public health fascist tendency. Baron Khan of Tooting through his control of Transport for London has led the way.

Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, an interactive comedy with food and dancing, is currently running at the Arcelormittal Orbit in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and will be playing at Wonderville from 15 July but the marketing team had to redesign the posters after they were banned by Transport for London (TfL).
The advertisement, which depicted the performers Ronnie Burden and Alabama Boatman on top of a Victoria sponge wedding cake covered in white icing, was considered to be in breach of TfL’s food and drink advertising policy. – Broadwayworld
