Down under in Australia, there’s this “Leader of the Australian Greens” wannabe politician by the name of Adam Bandt. He’s got his panties in a twist over the the now debunked “Exxon Knew” campaign started by Bill McKibben and his cohorts at the secret meeting in La Jolla California years ago where they brainstormed how to take down those evil fossil fuel suppliers.
By himself, Bandt is no more remarkable than other other off-the-rails climate zealot that has a trademark van dyke beard like Michael Mann and Gavin Schmidt, but he did introduce a new phrase into the climate doom lexicon that made me laugh.
Yes folks, “climate collapse” is now a thing.
When the whole atmosphere collapses… that’s going to leave a mark, um, right??
We can add this latest inanity to the list of panic driven descriptors that the left and greens like to use.
It’s just as bogus as the other names, but we thank uber-alarmist Adam Bandt for giving us all a good laugh.

I’d like to laugh it off, but there’s been too much success with that kind of thing lately.
So the climate has varied naturally without any humans to blame it on, in a range between about 10 degrees Celsius (ice house) to about 27 degrees Celsius (hot house), but an increase from, what is it – 13 degrees Celsius to 14 degrees Celsius is suddenly a “collapse?!”
Try “good news.” Warming climate isn’t the catastrophe when you’re in an “interglacial” period during an ice age; cooling climate is the “catastrophe.” And when that becomes apparent in an amount that can no longer be hidden by “adjustments” and UHI, the same idiots will be trying to blame THAT on fossil fuel use too – just like the last time (the ’70s “ice age cometh” they desperately want everyone to forget).

The Greens get about 10% of the vote. In most seats this 10% goes to the Labor Party so what happens is the Liberals miss out. This is the purpose of the Greens to siphon votes off the Liberals Most Conservatives in Australia haven’t quite figured this out yet.

From 1850 to 1977, the HADCRUT4 global warming trend was 0.02C/decade because we had 2 PDO cool cycles and 2 PDO warm cycles that cancelled each other out.
Who the heck believes a global warming trend of 0.02C/decade is “Climate Collapse”…
Since 1978, we’ve been in a prolonged PDO warm cycle so the UAH6 global warming trend has increased to 0.14C/decade (almost exactly the same as the 1913~1945 PDO warm trend at 0.12C/decade)…Who cares?
it looks like the PDO is reentering its 30-year cool cycle, and when it does, we’ll have 30+ years of global cooling, so by 2050, the 1850~2050 warming trend will probably be around 0.05C~0.07C/decade.. Again, who heck cares about such a trivial amount of beneficial global warming…
the earth has been around for 4.5 billion years so why can’t Fascists wait another 3~5 years to see what effect the next PDO cool cycle has on global warming trends before wasting 100’s of trillions on the CAGW Hoax…
