Climate Messiah Greta Thunberg Lashes Out at Australia’s Andrew Bolt

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

Greta has accused Andrew Bolt of being part of a hate and conspiracy campaign, for suggesting her climate certainty might be a symptom of her mental disorders.

Naturally Greta’s supporters have joined her condemnation of Andrew Bolt’s article.

What did Andrew Bolt say to draw such a response?

BOLT: WE MUST DOUBT DISTURBED TEEN’S CLIMATE DOGMA

I have never seen a girl so young and with so many mental disorders treated by so many adults as a guru

What is so fascinating about this Thunberg cult is not just that she’s believed so fervently even though she’s wrong.

But Thunberg has something very rare as well — a sense of absolute certainty. She shows not the slightest doubt and forgives not the slightest compromise. This allows followers who are tormented with doubt and burden of freedom to relax into her totalitarian certainty.

And in Thunberg’s case, that certainty comes from what normally would be seen as a disability.

If we can believe a book by her mother, opera soprano and Eurovision contestant Malena Ernman, Thunberg went two months without eating when she was 11.

She suffered years of depression and anxiety attacks and was finally diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, high-functioning autism, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Her intense fear of the climate is not surprising from someone with disorders which intensify fears.

Why do greens find Greta so fascinating? I think Andrew Bolt hit the nail on the head, the certainty is the key.

Certainty is alluring to people who are tormented by their own unacknowledged doubts.

That doubt must be there; if the millions of people who claim to be worried about climate change wholeheartedly believed the world was about to end, the way Greta does, they would abandon their normal lives and march until the world changed.

Greta’s certainty is a taste of the freedom from doubt they yearn for. Greta’s apparent purity of purpose, her refusal to fly, her innocence, is an inspiration to climate believers who feel shame for their personal weakness, for all the carbon compromises they make in their daily lives.

This in my opinion is why any suggestion that Greta’s certainty might be a product of her mental condition draws such a furious response; if Greta’s certainty is unfounded, if her certainty is a symptom of her mental disorders, then Greta’s certainty is false. The magic is broken.

Note: My thanks to Andrew Bolt and Newscorp for providing the text of his article.

With every passing day this whole climate crisis thing looks more and more like a religious passion story. In days gone by, flocks of people rushed to see and touch a person, usually young and female, who had experienced “the rapture” and who gushed with a desire to share it.

I am indeed ”deeply disturbed” about the fact that these hate and conspiracy campaigns are allowed to go on and on and on just because we children communicate and act on the science. Where are the adults? – Greta

She should’ve stopped at “I am indeed ”deeply disturbed”” – the true premise of her marching orders.

Indeed, can this statement even be hers, because what 16-year-old really talks like that?

They are training people to say “how high?” when Greta says jump.

Let’s be clear – “she” is [they are] throwing down the gauntlet to parents, media, and govt everywhere:

1) Opposition to Greta is hate organized into a conspiracy campaign

2) This hateful conspiracy campaign is presently allowed to go on and on [attacking children]

3) Children who communicate and act on climate change.

4) Adults are called on to protect these children and hence the planet from the hateful conspiracists.

She communicates to children that they are noble and right to promote ‘climate action’, while any disagreeable adults even their parents are to be dismissively opposed and labelled hateful conspiracists.

She communicates to the media and governments that Queen Greta expects a royal red-carpet welcome and dissenters are to be silenced. No tough questions. It gives permission to openly oppose and stop the accused hateful conspiracists who are presently ‘allowed to go on and on’.

Her clear implication is hateful conspiracists, those who oppose climate action, must not be allowed to ‘go on and on’, ie, they must be stopped.

It is a call to WAR. Psychological warefare. Greta is a well-coached clever agitprop pysop.

The warmists are openly using “deeply disturbed” little girls like Greta and “deeply disturbed” big girl AOC to fight their war and to shield themselves from critics. All is fair in love and war, right?

The warmists also never fail to use summer heatwaves and melting ice to push their propaganda.

When cold/snow records occur they ignore them in lieu of reporting even more scare-mongering climate propaganda instead, to take the mind off the cold, to hypnotize the public with endless dramatic spell-binding stories of some prophesized near-future “human-induced” catastrophic warming calamity.

I expect the upcoming severe NH winter will change a lot of minds against Greta, AOC, and company, which will only send them deeper into “deeply disturbed” mode. Watch what happens – as it gets colder they will propagandize ever more stridently while demanding you believe them and act now accordingly.

I don’t think one should be concerned at all about her physical or mental state. She is as she is – and she cannot be blamed for that, and neither can her parents. Don’t shoot the messenger. She has every right to state her opinions – and we should just comment on and criticise those opinions. Her looks, her age and her mental state is of no consequence. And the fact that so many dimwits fall for her charisma is their problem.

Kids have every right to express their opinions but then they have to eat all their dinner, do their homework and get off to bed at the right time. Furthermore professional entertainers and promoters should know not to work with kids and animals like this. That’s for Sesame Street, Disney and the RSPCA and knowing your categories. Furthermore I’ll decide whether the teenage daughter is going off for a sleepover to stay up late watching Scream movies and not some other delinquent parents. They don’t like then get a job move out and pay the usurious Green power bills Miss Smartypants.

Some folks reckon that throwing yourself out of an aeroplane and pulling a ripcord helps to remove many of the fears of life. Something to do with having to put total trust in a parachute and undoubtedly dying if it fails to open.

Of course, all aeroplanes are evil in Ms Thunberg’s eyes, but one flight is not going to flip the earth into a firestorm of world record heat.

Maybe she should be told to jump, thrown out if necessary, and see how she feels after a bout of free fall? Maybe her eating phobias, her depressions etc will become a thing of the past.

At the very least, she could tell some climate skeptics that she had actually up close to atmospheric gases at 12,000ft or however high jumps in Sweden occur from.

Certainty is the providence of fools…

I’m always amazed at those who are so sure of their beliefs…and when they are shown to be incorrect, they twist the issue to say that what they said wasn’t what they said…

Greta needs to search YouTube for “Greenpeace Angry Kid”, to see her angry predecessor from 12 years ago. The alarmists love to use children, and fill their little heads with scary predictions.

There are some huge misconceptions about autism in the post and the comments. I agree that autistics can hyperfocus on a subject and can have very rigid thinking. However, the way in which she is being attacked makes me uncomfortable. She doesn’t have a mental disorders, she just thinks differently to neurotypical people. I don’t believe in her views myself, but I don’t think the constant insinuations and poorly understood facts about autism are fair or intelligent. I am writing this as an autistic. Incidentally, the terms Asperger’s and High Functioning Autism are outdated. It’s not a disease or a disability (although there are co-conditions which can lead to disability). I hope that this inspires people to educate themselves. Many thanks

Greta is the sacrificial lamb who takes on all the doubt and guilt of the gullible and suffers for it.
You could found a religion on that.

I wonder what Africans make of her. A green Messiah? Or white privileged and well off women who tells them that they, the Africans, can not aspire to the same standard of living; just as in the good’ ol colonial days?

Good on you Greta, there is no debate, climate change is real and man made and could be devastating to our planet. I only respect the opinion of 99 percent of real climate scientists like you, the deniers are ratbags.

Sorry but I have zero patience for her. The fact that you’re going around criticizing every single post 4 days after most of the posters have moved on doesn’t make you look particularly smart either. Face it, Greta acts immature for 16, spouts nonsense and is surrounded by a bunch of people who are using her willingly to further their very dangerous views. If you don’t see this then you don’t want to see it. And your criticism of the critics is not coming across as you think. Would have had more respect for you if you had stopped after your first post.

Any normally adjusted adults would know that to deal with a kid who is being used like this: you don’t attack the kid like the misanthropes and keyboard-shriekers here. Either from a base of simple civility, or simple expediency, a prudent person “just asks questions” (like Joe Bastardi), or frames the response truthfully but respectfully – as a good teacher does; or, if necessary, frames criticism in response to her adult enablers with sympathy to her.

But based on manifest behaviour, most of the comments here are not from well-adjusted adults. Ironically, perhaps charitably, some of the board-culture may be symptomatic of the kind of disorder she herself deals with.

Just to further my previous statement, maybe you forgot this is just a board. No one is speaking to Greta directly. They are just expressing their views regarding her statements and behavior. You are assuming that what they are saying on this board is what they would say to the teenager if they came face to face with her, and I’m sure you’re doing it to try to shame people. Give it a break you’re not convincing anyone

I must admit to having a great deal of sympathy with young Greta, not because I agree with anything she stands for, but because she is a near-perfect doppelganger for my very favorite granddaughter when she was that age. Also, like many others, I believe she is a victim of the exploitations by the adults surrounding her and managing her PR. That being said I’m quite tired of the endless parade of just so precious children used to block the possibility of counterargument to their adult handlers’ hysterical nonsense.

Unfortunately, I fear that however the history of this folly finally plays out the future climate battlefield will be littered with the broken spirits and even possibly broken bodies of the multitude of adolescents sacrificed to their elders Socialist wet dreams.
