Guest essay by Eric Worrall
h/t Breitbart – Democrat Presidential Candidate Elizabeth Warren, whom President Trump christened “Fauxcahontas” after she upset the Cherokee Nation by claiming to be a Native American, wants to shut down the fossil fuel industry from day one of her Presidency.
My plan for public lands
By Elizabeth Warren
April 15th…
Any serious effort to address climate change must include public lands — fossil fuel extraction in these areas is responsible for nearly a quarter of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. The Trump administration, with its casual denial of science and apparent amnesia about massive crises like the BP oil spill, has also proposed opening nearly the entire U.S. coastline to seismic testing and offshore drilling.
It is wrong to prioritize corporate profits over the health and safety of our local communities. That’s why on my first day as president, I will sign an executive order that says no more drilling — a total moratorium on all new fossil fuel leases, including for drilling offshore and on public lands. I’d also reinstate the methane pollution rule to limit existing oil and gas projects from releasing harmful gases that poison our air, and reinstitute the clean water rule to protect our lakes, rivers, and streams, and the drinking water they provide.
…
As President, I will set a goal of providing 10% of our overall electricity generation from renewable sources offshore or on public lands. That’s nearly ten times what we are currently generating. We can achieve this goal while prioritizing sites with low impact on local ecology but high potential for renewable energy generation. My administration will make it a priority to expedite leases and incentivize development in existing designated areas, and share royalties from renewable generation with states and local communities to help promote economic development and reduce local dependence on fossil fuel revenues.

Is it just me, or has the Democrat candidate race turned into a bidding war over who can wreck the US economy the fastest?
Shutting down President Trump’s energy reforms would have drastic and immediate consequences for the US economy. Cheap energy powers economic growth. Any policy shift which increases energy costs puts the USA at a disadvantage to other low cost economies.

Why is this woman not hiding under a rock?……..
Because she is as dumb as a rock. She must not realize that we Texans do vote, and we will NOT vote to crater our economy.
No kidding. Let her and AOC keep talking. The more they spout this nonsense, the less chance they have to win the Presidency in 2020 and probably 2024 if they keep talking like this. Talk about bipolar politics.
Absolutely right Earthling2! With these candidates, and lots of others, Trump is a shoo-in. Give the socialists lots of publicity!
Agree 100%.
Keep on talking, all of them.
The newest ones are the dumbest and hence the best for the prospects of true conservatives in 2020.
It is impossible for this sort of talk to win the swing vote middle that decides every national election.
If we elect the Best and Brightest of our representatives, what does the election of AOC and Ms. Warren say about the intelligence of the remainder of the Democratic Party?
Never try to underestimate the power of the Idocracy
Idiocracy or Idocracy works either way
Wait for the debate where occasional cortex tells Warren her plan doesn’t go far enough. That race to the bottom will be fun to watch.
Texas will turn Democrat because of the influx of Hispanics. It’s inevitable and will not ever go red again.
It is a disgusting reality, but you need to recognize it.
http://theredelephants.com/democrats-will-58-million-voters-republicans-2050/
BTW, independent content creators are far more honest and reliable than any MSM source. Full stop.
Matthew – You’re assuming that Hipanics are reliably Democrat voters in the long run. That assumption is far from sure.
They’re trending Republican lately. Also, they have a large pro-life contingent and aren’t particularly into Islam or LGBT. They are not naturally Democrats.
Virtually all the Hispanics have been brought up in a Christian context. Most probably aren’t notably devout, but they do recognize that individual lives are valuable, that equality of opportunity is the best way to get ahead, family is important, etc.
They are not a solid, Democrat voting block and never were. With the influx of illegal border crossers it’s gotten worse. These people know they were able to get to the border thousands at a time because someone else paid for it. They didn’t pay for the food, the buses, places to sleep. If they get here they’ll see opportunity and take it as best they can.
So, Matthew Drobnick, you must be betting that all those illegal immigrants will be casting illegal votes for Democrats ……… via lots of help from the Democrats.
One thing that needs to be done in Texas and every other state is to put in place a voting system that prevents non-citizens from voting in American elections.
Trump ought to push this reform hard. The Democrats will push back, but that is not a surprise and is not a reason to not secure the votes of Americans and prevent their votes from being cancelled by non-Americans.
Actually, that is just one (1) of several changes that is needed and they all could be incorporated into a “State inclusive” Internet based voting system …… whose Voter Registration data base is managed by the County Clerk’s Office in each County of the State ……. and the composite of all County VRs being maintained at and monitored by the Secretary of State’s Office. And a National VR data base would be a composite of all State VRs. One important aspect of such a system would be the elimination of the “mail in” Absentee Ballot.
If the banking industry can put ATMs (automatic teller machines) here, there and yonder, that are safe and secure for “money” transactions, …… then the States should be able to put IVTs (internet voting terminals) here, there and yonder, that are safe and secure for “casting” votes for political offices, etc.
Disagree.
What has become apparent is that bad actors are very good at subverting the election process.
People that spend their lives figuring out how to beat the system, whatever the system is, become very good at it.
We need to go back to paper ballots, filled out on election day, at a polling place.
Anything else invites corruption.
Any system which is purely electronic is completely hackable, and such a vote count is complete uncheckable.
IOW, if someone figures out how to rig it, it is untraceable and unfixable and unrecountable.
Banking is different. It can be and is audited.
Voting is anonymous and the ballots must be kept secret. So they are uncheckable and unauditable.
Paper ballots, on election day, in a polling place.
If you cannot be there, too bad.
If you are out of the country, too bad.
Don’t be if you care.
(Limited exceptions need to be made for people who are required to be out of the country, like the military. But we can put polling places in every military base if we need to, or allow that single exception, and possibly some other I cannot think of right now.)
The stakes could not be higher: Everything depends on our elections.
Our lives.
Our livelihoods.
Our rights.
Our economic prospects.
Literally everything rides on elections, and the amounts of money and power at stake ensure that there are people that will stop at nothing to corrupt the elections and subvert the will of the voters.
Simpler is better.
No early voting, no mail in votes, no electronic gadgetry beyond counting machines that are never connected to the internet at all.
Oh good grief, ….. Nicholas McGinley, ….. they have been “stuffing” Ballot Boxes ever since Hector was a wee little pup.
And the Poll Workers in the “counting room” handle each and every one of those paper ballots and can “screw-up” vote totals without even thinking hard about it. One way being “adding” check marks on the ballot to “void” the cast vote.
Yup, shur nuff, ….. and CAGW climate change is going to destroy mankind in 12 years and dishonest voting will cease to be a problem. Of course, the currently available “electronic” voting machines are potentially “hackable” simply because they are little more than an MS DOS based PC (personal computer) that has been “packaged” in a newly designed “voting booth” cabinet.
A new processor chip that only functions with a newly designed Instruction Code, Operating System, memory storage addressing architecture, data code and data transmission protocols, …… and Electronic Voting via a voting booth at a Prescient, County Clerks Office ….. or via Internet access of a PC, I-phone, etc., ……. and a safe, secure voting system becomes a reality
And they are still stuffing ballot boxes.
Plus, now they have lots and lots of new ways to cheat to pile on top of the ballot box stuffing.
Do you pay attention at elections?
Are you aware of the crap that went on last November?
Dozens of elections, including a few senate races, were outright stolen, and several more almost were.
Texas is slowly turning blue. Californians have been migrating east for a better life.
One problem is the migration of people from overly taxed states like Commi-fornia to low tax states like Texas. They flee the high taxation that is draining their paycheck, BUT they bring the liberal voting habits with them. They are happy with the larger paycheck but they start voting for the same policies they’ve fled. They like the added wealth they’ve earned, but still feel the government needs to take care of the ‘problems’. ‘Someone else’ will pay for it. I equate it to a cancer, spreading and infecting the healthy cells of the ‘body politic’.
Aren’t things that live under rocks usually slimey?
Seriously!
Talk about amnesia.
These jackasses seem to forget that the economy is even a thing, and how sensitive the markets and hence future economic growth are to perceptions and uncertainty.
If any of these people are elected to the White House after running on this sort of rhetoric, the stock market truly would crater, business investment would dry up in a heartbeat, and within months millions would be heading for the unemployment line.
Love them or hate them, fossil fuels and the energy they give us and the value they create by being inexpensive and plentiful are very literally the lifeblood of our economy.
And that reality is every bit as certain as the biochemical fact that carbon dioxide is the backbone and the essential building block of our entire biosphere.
Nicholas McGinley – April 18, 2019 at 7:58 am
The “yada, yada, yada” will be forgotten on the very day they are “sworn in” to their elected Office and they will immediately conform to and promote the unwritten “Rules of the DC Swamp” and blame all their “broken promises”, stupid actions and inability to do their job on Trump, Tea Partiers, conservative Republicans, the weather and climate change
And I thought the politicians we have in Australia are dumb. All you need now are policies like ours where our politicians sell off the farm for a well paid job in retirement from the company/country that paid for their loyalty.
Her executive order would be ruled unconstitutional in court as a Takings clause violation. You can’t shut down a producing oil rig without compensating its owner. There may not be a big enough rock to hide such arrogance.
It’s not about destroying the US economy, at least not directly…
They are trying to prove they are “new style” and “RESIST!” worthy by being opposed to ANYTHING that is standard in the US. Trying to do everything exactly opposite. The side effect is the destruction of not just the US culture, but the economy.
It’s not about targeting the economy, it’s about targeting the way of life in the US.
Ah yes. That was handled quite nicely in the Superman comics with Bizarro World.
That pretty much describes what will happens if the loony left seizes the levers of power. They have no clue and they’re stubborn as heck. When I was a kid, I had no idea that Bizarro World might be an accurate portrayal.

Check this:
“We can achieve this goal while prioritizing sites with low impact on local ecology …”
I want to see where in the continental USA a 7 MW wind turbine has a low impact on the local ecology. But consider what comes next: after the sites where there is low impact, will she move on to licensing sites where there is a high impact? Then comes “vast impact” and “total destruction impact” sites.
Yeah, well, no, fine, everything has a cost.
I agree, there are few if any such sites, and a 10x increase will require way more than a few sites.
The ones that are not damaging to health, wildlife, property values, and the environment, would surely have to be so remotely located as to be useless or impractical.
The peaks of tall mountains maybe? Lots of wind up there.
She speaks with forked tongue and it isn’t genetic.
The Democrats are practicing what might be called Political Pornography.
As such, her porn name would surely be Speaking Bull.
I have one question for Fauxcahontas:
How?
Sunny side up!
How? Without reservation.
I have one question for Fauxcahontas:
How?
Isn’t that what Fauxcahontas is supposed to say (before taking a puff from the peace pipe, while sitting in front of her teepee)?
Let her lead by example – no fossil fuels or synthetic fabrics for her. No refined metals either since these are made from electricity or coal. When she walks to her next campaign stop, I’ll at least think she is not a huge hypocrite.
She’ll have to walk barefooted and naked, giving a nice examle of her realm to come. She may then flush down her ideas with root beer galore.
“I’m going to get me, um, a beer” – Fauxcahontas
Isn’t the USA energy self sufficient for the first time in decades? Why deliberately screw that up? It doesn’t put you at a disadvantage, it puts you at the mercy of people like OPEC.
For the US Democrats, they’ve bought into the stupidity that “Saving the Planet” from fake climate change is a higher priority than US National Security re: China and Russia.
Both Russia and China leadership buy into the climate scam only to the point that it will destroy the West economically and thus their long-term strategic military power.
It seems to me that the basic problem with the Democrats, and the leftists in general, is a complete inability to hold multiple thoughts in their head at once, let alone to continuously take into account everything at the same time.
You know, like what sane intelligent adults must do in order to be considered rational human beings.
I honestly think they do not ever think in terms of prioritizing, as in making a list of concerns and desires, labelling them as either Wants or as Needs, and then assigning a rank order to them.
Such a process is entirely logical, and leaves emotions and emotional arguments off to the side.
And that is something many of them are simply incapable of comprehending, let alone achieving on an ongoing basis.
Many, but not all.
Some are simply dishonest charlatans.
In plain language, they are lying liars telling big fat lies, all day, every day.
I think it’s a superiority complex.
That pretty much leads to all those other things.
“… share royalties from renewable generation with states and local communities …”. Would that be the royalties minus all subsidies extant at the time?
What royalties. They are already a loosing proposition. If you implement a system of royalties, they will all be shut down.
Exactly right, Jeff.
Which means she is either a complete ignoramus as to the actual economic reality of RE, or she is 100% disingenuous.
Either way, she is disqualified.
Even besides for economics, the idea of such a person in charge of the US military is shear lunacy.
Any serious person knows this.
I have seen very little in the way of what might be actual shrewdness, insight, or leadership from a single one of the people who have so far squeezed themselves into the Democratic presidential clown car.
Royalties are usually are typically agreed upon as a percentage of gross or net revenues. Royalties on gross revenue would be a losing proposition for the renewable companies. They’re not making a profit (subsidies are needed to keep them going, without subsidies they crash and burn financially) as it is, paying royalties would only make the situation worse. There would be no royalties to be had on Net revenues (gross revenue – costs IE profits) as, again there is no profit on renewables (subsidies don’t count in the profit column on the balance sheet). So either royalties are paid, putting the renewable companies out of business (without additional subsidies – which would negate the value of the royalties) or no royalties will be paid as the companies aren’t profitable on a revenue vs cost basis.
Fauxcahontas … indeed. Conrad Black had a description of Canada’s supposed original peoples:
It sounds nasty. Well, I wouldn’t want to be on Mr. Black’s wrong side. It has a basis in fact though. South of the border, there is the concept of blood quantum. That sets a limit on how much Indian blood you must have to be a member of a tribe.
So, we have what Mr. Black said. The tribes are partially pre-European descended and they are demonstrably self defined.
If Ms. Warren wants to call herself Cherokee, it’s OK as long as the Cherokee agree.
Well good to hear that cuz I am of Irish/Scottish descent and my children are descended from people who were born and lived in what eventually became Canada since 1783.
I once told this to a young woman, freshly indoctrinated out of the university, and asked her when would my descendants(ie. my children’s children’s children), be considered ‘indigenous’?
She replied ‘They won’t”.
Since that day, I always “Identify as indigenous to North America”.
I am indigenous.
It is a foundation of democracy that your rights should not depend on who your parents were. That’s why Canada and America do not have aristocrats.
Oh yes you do but you don’t recognize them, but they walk among you.
Well, by that definition the so-called “indigenous” peoples here invaded a previously pristine land some 12- to 15-thousand years ago, so we need to stop calling them “Native Americans”
Quite so.
They are Aboriginal Americans
Latin Ab from
Origine the beginning
which could be loosely translated as first people.
Anyone born in the Americas is a native American
The weird thing is that DNA studies show that the “Native Americans” were not first haumans in the Americas. There is traces of a so-called “population Y” with genetic links to South-East Asia. These are mostly found in Amazonia, and presumably this “Population Y” were the”Pre-Clovis” people that left sparse remains in both North and South America.
On the other hand Na Dene-speaking people, including Navajos and Apache belong to later, third immigration and Inuits and Aleuts to fourth, even later one.
So Europeans post-1492 were actually the fifth group to enter the Americas.
Actually, the Thule arrived in Greenland after the vikings. link I guess that makes me indigenous.
Yes, the Thule seem to have arrived around 1200 AD, helped by the MWP which made it much easier to travel by umiaq in the Parry Archipelago. The Norse fitrst encountered them up north around Disko bay, though later as climate cooled they moved into southern Greenland as well.
But the icelandic sources records that the norse found traces of people on Greenland and that the ruins and stone tools were similar to those of the skraelingar found in North America. Those were paleoeskimos or Cape Dorset eskimos which were displaced by the Thule and became extinct about the 16-17th centuries. Ancient DNA show that they were closely related to the extant Na-Dene, so very likely they spoke a Na-Dene language as well.
Iffen I were in fact a Cogar (English spelling) then I would be of German, English and Cherokee descent because my surname can be traced back to a Claus Koger (German spelling) who was born in the village of Weil am Rhine in South Wester Germany in 1572, and his descendant Kogers immigrated to colonial Virginia (1730’s) via way of England and the name changed to Cogar. And the husband of my g-g-g-grandmother Cogar was killed by Indians in 1743.
And, fast forward, my grandmother’s surname on my mother’s side was FOX, which is a Cherokee name, plus the fact that I never had to start shaving “whiskers” until post 30 years old, which pretty much defines my Cherokee linage.
They don’t. And they were quite peeved with her for claiming without checking with them first.
Are the native Americans now in hot pursuit of blood-and-soil ideology???
The swastika is a sacred symbol of the Navajo. link In fact, through the works of Karl May the fuhrer became fascinated with North American Indians.
What goes around comes around.
We used to call such racial classification ‘apartheid’. What happened to the protests?
If Ms. Warren wants to call herself Cherokee, it’s OK as long as the Cherokee agree.
And they don’t. So that should be the end of it. And yet, Fauxcahontas still doesn’t back down on her lies.
But hey, in today’s world of identity politics, if a man can identify as a woman, and a white woman identify as a black woman, and an old man identify as a little girl, why can’t Ms. Warren identify as a Cherokee? If the Cherokee don’t like it, they’re just haters, who are they to tell Fauxcahontas that “her truth” is a lie? (do I need to add a /sarc here?)
What makes this so crazy is that she’s actually deluded into thinking that what she wants to do is for the ‘greater good’. The depth of the hypocrisy and delusional rationalizations among the current crop of Democratic candidates regarding many politically divisive issues is stunning. It’s so bizarre it would even work as the basis of a script for a political comedy.
Bizarre indeed. See my reply to ShanghaiDan above. LOL
Is it just me, or has the Democrat candidate race turned into a bidding war over who can wreck the US economy the fastest?
No, Eric. It is not just you.
Pochantas (aka Fauxcahontas) has not a snowball’s chance in Hell of beating Trump even if she could secure the nomination from her party. Right now, they are all trying to all “Out-Progressive” their fellow communists also running for the nomination. The more moderte Dems are watching in horror as their party is being dragged Left-ward into evermore stupid pronouncements like the “ban all drilling on Federal lands.”
It defies rational thought the things the Left in the US proposes these days. Warren also reflexively endorsed AO-C/Markey’s GND without even seeing it or the embarrassing FAQs about cow farts. Now they own it. But she also of course voted “Present” when Mitch McConnell forced a vote on the GND in the US Senate.
They are all entirely taken over by the economically illiterate, radical Left millennials
“… as their party is being dragged Left-ward…”
And the RINOs are furiously trying to fill the left-of-center void left by the retreating donkeys, instead of leaving that land fallow.
Many of the RINOs were voted out in 2018.
The best predictor of who won and who lost was if they explicitly endorsed Trump and his agenda.
This will accelerate in 2020.
The worst ones are gone already, and the rest soon to follow.
They have revealed their non-conservative true selves, and will have to be very lucky or extremely politically astute to survive.
And if they were astute, they would not be never-Trumper’s to begin with.
“Pochantas (aka Fauxcahontas) has not a snowball’s chance in Hell of beating Trump even if she could secure the nomination from her party.”
That’s the bottom line. Warren is going nowhere.
She did make what I would think is a small GND proposal in that she only wants 10 percent of US electricity produced by “renewables” and she only wants to put them where they are out of sight like offshore or on public lands. Maybe she’s sensitive to the ugliness of windmills. Perhaps because there has been a lot of public opposition to windmills and solar farms lately.
Anyway, forget about any of her proposals because she is going nowhere in the presidential race.
Some people are already predicting “Beto’s” early withdrawal from the presidential race. I wouldn’t be surprised.
I’m with Trump: It looks like it will be Biden or Sanders, although Biden may be asked some embarrasing questions in the near future like what did he know and when did he know about the conspiracy to spy on the Trump campaign and what part did he play in the effort to overthrow Trump after he was elected. Based on his answers, Joe might not be a viable candidate in 2020.
Trump would love to run against Sanders.
The Tide has turned on the Obama administration. Over the next weeks and months a lot of Obama officials are going to be indicted and prosecuted for their treasonous acts against our country, and the evidence is mounting that Barack Obama had a direct hand in all of this, and Biden attended at least one meeting where it was discussed. One of the investigative reporters says he has an email that says, “The president is running this (the Trump investigation).
This is serious business. The Obama administration tried to rig the 2016 election and when their side lost, they tried to use the power of the Executive Branch of government to overthrow Trump and get him out of Office.
It’s by far the biggest political scandal in the history of the United States, and by far the most dangerous attack on our Republic in our History. Our Domestic Enemies almost pulled it off. But for the fact that Trump is as clean as the driven snow, and the votes of 63 million Trump supporters, they might have succeeded.
The best laid plans of mice and men sometimes go awry. We are going to find out just how awry they went here in the near future.
Heads need to roll in order to save our Republic from a repeat of this treason and sedition in the future when the next dishonest, criminal-minded president takes Office.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see some like CIA Chief Brennan, AG Lynch, FBI Dir Comey, DepDir McCabe, SA Strzok, NSecAdv Rice, NID Clapper get indicted for abuse of authority, especially in the unmasking of intel collected names for political purposes. Comey and Lynch most assuredly lied to the court and abused the FISA process to get the first Wiretap warrant.
The most liekly prosecution will come from Comey and Lynch using a politically concocted document (The Steel Dossier) in a sworn affidavit to a federal court for a wiretap warrant without acknowledging to the judge its provenance, which is a felony perjury.
But how much can be pinned on the now Former President Obama in a legal criminal matter though I think is doubtful.
I don’t think Obama will be put in jail over this, but I would like to have the American public see just what a scoundrel he really is.
I don’t think Hillary will go to jail, either, although I don’t think her chances are zero, but I would be satisfied if the American people see just what a scoundrel she is too, and I would love to see her lose all her money over it.
The rest of the Obama characters involved in this are definitely in danger of going to jail. I would love to see Brennan in a prison uniform, along with Clapper and Comey and Lynch and Rice and all the people involved in unmasking American citizens (you can bet just about all those unmasked were Trump supporters).
This is sedition and it is also treason because the Obama administration was cooperating with the Russians and the Ukrainians in efforts to cause Trump to lose the election.
It doesn’t get any more evil than this, what the Obama administration has done to our Constitutional Republic. They tried to overthrow our form of government and put themselves in power in perpetuity. An authoritarian, socialist dictatorship is what they wanted to impose on the American people. it’s what they still have in mind, so the battle is not over by a long shot, but at least the Democrats are on the defensive right now, and we should keep them there.
Another clapped-out old nag looking for a feed from some other horse’s feed-bag. It doesn’t matter that she’s not going to amount to any more than a serial pest, its the feed-bag and media attention that matter, appearing to be of substance is much more important (and lucrative) than having substance.
The left has gone insane.
If the U.S. went “carbon zero” today, global emissions would still never reach 1950 levels…and according to AGW models GAT’s would not be reduced more than 0.05 C by 2100. We are supposed to spend $100 Trillion by then…for nothing by then…with no proof now.
Pure power grabbing insanity.
Where are the adults who could put a stop to this dangerous leftist American suicide plan.
We get bombarded all day long with one leftist lie after another…bad social science…bad climate science…leftist lying propaganda to our kids K thru 12…then the lefty blitz hits hardest in undergraduate and graduate programs. It’s widespread…Only 3 universities in the nation are immune to this plague.
We need better leadership to fight this war. Trump isn’t up to the task.
Does anyone believe that we are going to let the radicals on the left shut down our domestic oil industry without a strong pushback? Imagine the economic impact of $10/gallon gasoline.
Insanity.
“We need better leadership to fight this war. Trump isn’t up to the task.”
The people who aren’t up to the task are the voters. One man can’t do it by himself. He’s up to his @ss in alligators. How much then can he get done when voters elect representatives and senators who fight against him. Stupid voters in Utah sent carpetbagging Mitt Romney to the Senate. What’s hell is wrong with people to for Trump and then turn around and send an anti-Trumper to Congress? Ditto for WV.
Correction: What the hell is wrong with people to vote for Trump and then turn around and send an anti-Trumper to Congress?
Doc, Try to think of anyone better to lead it than Trump …in the world. Romney? Another Bush? Trump invented the way back for America. No other leader available to America would have thought you could reverse it all. Republicans were moving in the direction of the Dems, thinking what was now put in place from the left was too big to fail. He gave a master class showing it can be done, and not just to America, but to Europe which is taking leaves out of his book.
I’m not even American (yet!) but he gets full credit for the certainty that my lefty, global governance government has no chance in the next election. Brexit, Austria, Italy have already “trumped” their deluded govs. An ‘inspiree’ of Trump now has the majority in the Netherlands and Macron is on his last legs… Hey and Trump, while burdened by everything the angry left, could throw in his way and billions spent fighting the outcome of the election gave the US economic growth and almost full employment. You are a hard man to please, Doc
“We need better leadership to fight this war. Trump isn’t up to the task.”
If not Trump, then who?
I can’t think of one person I would put in his place right now. He is the only one up to the job.
What other Republican could stand up to the withering fire of the Leftwing News Media? I haven’t seen one do it in many years, other than Trump.
Among other things Trump is good at destroying the credibility of the Leftwing News Media, and that might end up being the most important accomplishment of his life, if he actually does destroy their credibility because the Leftwing News Media is the vehicle that misleads the public to the point that they can’t govern themselves properly. Witness, millions of them vote for destructive Democrat Socialists. If you vote for socialists you are not governing yourself properly as is obvious in every state where socialism rules.
Trump is a Godsend. Leaders like him don’t come along every day. We need to appreciate what we have here.
Completely agreed. However, I must say that Trump would be well advised to structure his Tweets with more science based arguments than insulting personal attacks. He has a massive audience for every Tweet, so he might as well disseminate smart information for public consumption.
Great point on the media. I’ve asked many times re the 1st amendment:
“Freedom to do what?” It must have been assumed at the time that the press would be doing good investigative reporting to keep the government honest. No one from that era foresaw fake news along with fake fact checkers and sediti9n with impunity. They better start making the sturdiest hardwood gavels and, rounding up the pay to play gamesters, political subversive billionaire tax-exempt “Charity” funds, deep state felons… Leniency would be a costly mistake.
Then maybe “What Happened” could be rewritten WTF Happened?”
An important task for Trump is to find someone to push forward as his successor. The “celebrity du jour” just won’t do.
I wasn’t clear enough…I was referring to finding the right person (or PR Firm maybe) to reach the 15% Iindependents…maybe some Southern Democrats. (Democrats why favor Marxism – 40% are a lost cause).
I don’t think these Independent folks have the guts to admit publicly that they think Trump is a good choice. Unfortunately few folks vote against their public comments.
Unfortunately few folks vote against their public comments.
If that were true, we’d have President Hillary right now.
It does not take many.
Almost every national election for decades now has been decided by a few percent of swing voters.
That $10/gallon is exactly what we pay in the UK thanks to the ongoing left’s anti fracking policy and the adoption of EU regulations. Forced CO2 reducing policies under the various EU Environmental acts have destroyed the continental European economics and our establishment here in the UK are determined we should copy that failure.
We now can’t even drive into our capital city without paying a fine for doing so, unless your vehicle is powered by unicorns.
Trump is the only reason that Hillary did not win and we still have a future as a country worth living in.
He deposed the Clinton’s and the Bush’s.
He pulled off the biggest political upset in history.
He did something that has never been done in modern US politics.
He will likely be one of, if not THE best President this country has ever had.
He was the only one “up to the task”.
He is also surely one of the only people in the country who could have survived the Muller investigation, with it’s entire gang of Trump-hating federal prosecutors, an unlimited budget and time, subpoena power, the entire MSM, and about 1/3 of the country fully and 100% behind the effort to GET TRUMP no matter what.
Look what he has done in a little over two years with so much opposition.
And imagine how much more he might get done with the Muller rubber glove treatment over, the leftist media completely discredited, and six more years to go?
By January of 2025, the Federal judiciary will be more conservative than it has been in 100 years, the SCOTUS will have at least 6, and possibly more, young constitutional conservative justices, our southern border will be secure for the first time ever, our country will be completely energy independent, and the far left will be finished as a political force in the US for a long time to come.
We need better leadership to fight this war. Trump isn’t up to the task
Who among the Republicans *is* up to the task? Most of them have no backbone, several are desperately trying to be Democrat-lite (like the Green Real Dealers). Trump is the only one who has thus far shown a willingness to stand up and fight. He might not be the prefect person for the job, but he’s the best person we’ve managed to get thus far.
She is reported as saying “we bring heap big trouble to oil people”
The only “public lands” [sic] authorized by the Constitution is the District of Columbia. All the rest are illegal and the States should take them back. Now.
As a foreigner I must say that the Democratic party seems to want to give Trump 4 more years. Aside from Tulsi they are all pretty much cookie cutter on the issues.
The Democrats are alienating a lot of people with their deranged behavior. Meanwhile, Trump’s approval rating continue climbing even in the face of relentless Democrat attacks and the 90-percent negative coverage given to him by the Leftwing News Media.
She and her compatriots keep adjusting their pitch to ever smaller interest groups. Eventually, they will whittle their speel down to the demands of one singular person. I wonder who it is they are so infatuated by.
A power struggle… Hahahaha. Oh boy…
“and share royalties from renewable generation with states and local communities to help promote economic development ”
Seriously ???
Renewables don’t pay royalties. Conversely, they are heavily subsidised.
…only if this idiot agrees to a complete moratorium on the use of all fossil fuels: her car, airplane trips, busses, ships, hot air balloons, even! Then there’s everything she uses that’s made with or by petroleum products–her food, her house, her clothes, the electricity that charges her car, pretty much everything!
The bottom line is that her campaign is going downhill and she is stupid enough to think recharging it with insanity will help!! She’s just another Eco-Marxist like AOC!
Constructing an alternate reality works for some people as long as they run it.
Australia is going to be the test case to see if people are suitably dumbed down. With the help of sold-out media and the sold-out “conservative” party (fauxconservatives), the Labor party reckon they are dead-certain to get in with a landslide. The insane ultra-green policies being touted have not being costed. yes Bill, how much will the 50% renewables , 50% electric vehicles going to be funded? How much will it cost? Where is the electricity going to come from? He had no idea how long it takes an electric car to be charged (it is his policy-he should know.) No Bill, it is not 8 minutes. Then he just invents the technology for 8 minutes charges out of thin air. Everybody knows that a charge that fast will have heating issues, which will cause problems with battery life. If a phone has no hope of charging in 8 minutes, how is a car going to charge that quickly? BS meter overloaded. How could the unreliables driven electricity grid cope with such a power drain?
When he is asked the question on cost, the reply is the usual rhetoric stream-no attempt whatsoever to answer the question. Other promises-tax the “rich”- politics of envy leftist lunacy. Attack retiree tax credits. Attack investors. More attacks on self-funded retirees. Death duties. Why would anybody bother working hard to get ahead when Labor are just going to take it?
He is so certain he is getting in (could the electoral fraud barrage be coming?) that he thinks he can say anything, promise anything and he will get his lunatic ideas voted in regardless. Punishing the Liberal CINOs by destroying Australia will not be very smart.
Strikes me that if Australians are stupid enough to elect Bill Shorten with his insane green promises, then Americans might be stupid enough to vote for the Green Deal Utopian insanity.
Climate change is the ONLY election point this year. Nothing else. It is going to be comical because we have Scott Morrison (Conservative) who brought a lump of coal in to parliament a while back and believes in God. And Bill Shorten (Labor) who believes Australia will be powered by 50% renewables AS WELL AS 8 minute EV charging stations AS WELL AS mandated 50% new EV’s by 2030. I wonder how many will fall for that one?
Damn! I should have read further. I just repeated much of what you said.
For those in the UK it will be interesting to see what Attenborough comes up with tonight on a BBC1 programme called ‘Climate change, the facts’.
Apparently it will consist of ‘top climate scientists’ commenting on the disastrous weather and wildfires that have happened in the last year. BBC1 9pm.
Also the Been seems to have gone into overdrive this morning on the radio with all the usual suspects being interviewed about the Extinction Revolution protestors what have been tryng to bring London to a halt.
The ER protestors say that they want the UK to go carbon neutral by 2025, so no petrol cars, no gas for household use, and presumably no industry. (Well, we have exported much of that to China already).
If the protestors want to achieve their objectives they should move to China and India.
Who is going to provide all the horses needed for them ladies comfortable transport? And who is going to clear all the horsesh1t?
The test of a Green focused individual is, does their person lifestyle, echo their strident anti fossil fuel rhetoric?
I would let fauchahontas get on her next plane then when up at 10,000 ft offer her a parachute and a pen. She would be given a fair choice, either jump out of the fossil fuelled plane she loathes and detests with such passion, or she can sign the document with the pen that says. :-
“I Elizabeth Warren am an idiot, I retract all of my stupid pronouncements regarding the dangers of fossil fuels”.
Give her the choice she is demanding via her policies the rest of society must make.
Does she want to live in a world that is fine, works well and reduces poverty or does she just want to get off…?
The oil will come from somewhere. If not the USA then other places. Price will go up and middle class will pay.
