Guest essay by Eric Worrall

The Guardian is worried that if Donald Trump is elected as US President, he will reject demands for climate action which are supported by tyrants, war criminals and genocidal maniacs.

Donald Trump would be world’s only national leader to reject climate science

Sierra Club report finds science of climate change accepted by leaders of every country recognized by US – including Bashar al-Assad and Kim Jong-un.

Donald Trump would be the only national leader in the world to dismiss the science of climate change should he become president, putting him out of step even with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe and Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea.

The potential isolation of the US on climate change has been laid bare by a new Sierra Club report which found universal acceptance of climate science among the leaders of the 195 countries recognized by the US state department.

Close US allies such as Britain, Israel, Canada and France all have heads of government who have voiced their understanding that the world is warming primarily due to human activities.

Even totalitarian or undemocratic leaders accept mainstream climate science, with Assad calling for nations to “respond more effectively” to the issue and Kim supporting a tree-planting initiative to mitigate greenhouse gases. The Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe, has labelled climate change a “major global challenge”.

By contrast, Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has called global warming “bullshit” and a “hoax” that was “created by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing noncompetitive”.

Who could fail to be moved by the Guardian and the Sierra Club’s effort, to gather such a list of climate action endorsements from the world’s bad guys.

From memory Russia knows the truth as well, although is happy to take the money if people are handing it out. Certainly, Russia has a remarkably tiny wind “industry” – Wikipedia can’t find even 100MW of installed capacity which means it’s generating about 20MW a year.

Kim supporting a tree-planting initiative to mitigate greenhouse gases. No, he’s planting trees ’cause they’ve denuded the hillsides.

Joseph P Kennedy is quoted as saying that he knew in 1929 that Wall Street was overly optimistic and a crash was on its way when he started to get stock tips from his shoeshine boy. We should know we’re getting BS when we get climate science from Robert Mugabe.
In recent years the title of worst government on the planet has passed back and forth between N. Korea and Zimbabwe. The main difference is the current Kim inherited most of the mess from his father, who in turn inherited most of his mess from his father, whereas Robert Mugabe has presided over the total ruination of Zimbabwe from the start.
I’ve always thought that Al Gore promoting global warming was enough reason to doubt it, but toss in Robert Mugabe as a believer and it’s a slam dunk certain path to ruin if you follow his advice.

PS. I can understand why the Guardian mentions Kim approvingly here; he would line up all the climate deniers, make them dig graves, then open fire with trench mortars. Don’t mention this or Sheldon Whitehouse might get ideas.

Not only that Alan, to Kim all his people, the North Koreans are his “children” and he is their father who cares a lot about his “children” future…:)
He thinks a lot about it, the safe and better future for his children.
He must join the combat against climate change….even if it takes to blow some heads off, literally, as that not a problem at all for the guy.
All that in the name of the “better” future of his “children”…….
Can you spot the odd similarity there?! 🙂
cheers

I think Venezuela and Maduro rate highly on the worst government on the planet scale, too.

Germany Votes To Abandon Most Green Energy Subsidies
Germany’s legislature voted Friday to sharply cut back on subsidies and other financial incentives supporting green energy due to the strain wind and solar power placed on the country’s electricity grid.
Germany’s wind and solar power systems have provided too much power at unpredictable times, which damaged the power grid and made the system vulnerable to blackouts. Grid operators paid companies $548 million to shutter turbines to fix the problem,

France is going to build an airport (the “Ayrautport”, built to please local politician Jean-Marc Ayrault and former prime sinister) under a “PPP” (partenariat public privé) scheme, which means the State doesn’t borrow money (to avoid having explicit debt) but will pay a rent to a private operator with has the debt (a silly and costly accounting trick, obviously). The State will have all the financial risk and the private operator will get all the benefits.
The 2 runways airport will be build in Notre-Dame-des-Landes and the environmentalists are extremely opposed to the project (for the protection for a triton, apparently). The region already has two underused airports and the project only makes sense if the new airport becomes a hub, assuming a very significant increase of air travel.
The prime sinister is pushing the project.
So who says France is anti-carbon? This is just word plays.

So, France will copy Spain and build an airport that won’t be used. I thought London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted (Even Biggin Hill) handled most traffic. Frankfurt was a contender to the London hub.

Well duh. If I was the supreme leader and could help my enemy destroy their economy and thus their ability to maintain a strong military by planting a few trees, I would wonder why my subordinates didn’t think of it sooner. Heads would roll!

Someone needs to take the Guardian to task for not being very inclusive. I mean why didn’t they include Genghis Khan, Hitler and Pol Pot as fine examples of consensus leaders?

The reality is that the climate change we have been experiencing and Mankind does not have the power to change it. There is no real evidence that CO2 has any effect on climate. So there is no known action that Mankind can take that will have any effect on climate change.

No. The public servants revolt against their public masters has been very quiet. They have arrogated rights as powers, the right to deadly force to go home at the end of their shift at immense cost to the public good.

So, Donald Trump would be the only world leader to do the correct thing. No trace gas at any concentration in the atmosphere can detectably warm the climate.

From the article: “Donald Trump would be world’s only national leader to reject climate science”
That’s what leaders do: They lead, they don’t follow. They get out ahead of the curve, not behind it.
I’m betting if Trump gets in Office, there will be more skeptic world leaders in the future. They just have to be shown the way, and then they can make it to the truth on their own. Trump will show them the way.

I would put Bon Ki Moon and Timothy Donald Cook as “World Dictator” want-a-bees.
On this scale Timothy Donald Cook (CEO Apple Inc.) with $300 billion dollars sitting in Chinese banks and unable to repatriate to the USA, by IRS/Treasury/State Department rules gives “beloved” Timmy-Boy the means to murder 10s of thousands of humans, some of which teased him in Alabama and elsewhere, in order to appease his penis envy.

I find it hard to comprehend why American Republican’s chose a borderline moron like Trump when you had the option of choosing someone who has a borderline genius IQ like Ted Cruz. Can some commenter here answer why Republican’s chose stupid to loose for you (because it doesn’t take a genius to know that Trump will loose) ??

Just sit back and learn just how wrong you are about Trump.
Trump has his faults, but who doesn’t? Trump has talent, the talent the U.S. and the world needs, and he is definitely not stupid.
Trump has the ability to listen and seeks out expert advice, so some of the things he might be weak on can be fixed by putting the right appointee on the job. And noone is better at picking good help, than Trump. As you will see.
OTOH, Hillary is the most corrupt person every to run for president. Once she is in Office, it will be game over for the little guy. Obama used the Federal Government against his political opponents and did a lot of damage, but he will be nothing compared to Hillary, who is ruthless, and very practiced in the art of attacking her poltical enemies using the heavy hand of government.
RICO20 suits will be standard operating procedure under Hillary.

As a Christian, I think it would be wise for non-Christians to think this through;
If a man tells you he does not consider Christ his Lord, you can rightly believe him about that, for Christ made it perfectly clear that people denying Him would result in Him denying them . . come judgment day.
If a man tells you he does consider Christ his Lord, you can’t rightly just believe him about that . . And I tell you the truth, I don’t . .

“Donald Trump would be world’s only national leader to reject climate science”

Václav Klaus is a Czech economist and politician who served as the second President of the Czech Republic from 2003 to 2013.
(…)
Klaus is a strong critic of the scientific consensus that global warming is anthropogenic. He has also called the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change a group of politicized scientists with one-sided opinions and one-sided assignments. He has said that some other top-level politicians do not expose their doubts about global warming being anthropogenic because “a whip of political correctness strangles their voices.”

Not drinking the AGW kool-aid disqualifies one from being a national leader, no matter what one’s position is.
In other words, the Czech Republic did not have a REAL president from 2003 to 2013, because real presidents think AGW is real. *rolls eyes*

Monroe, a lot of what Trump says is distorted by the political opposition, so I hope you actually listen to Trump, rather than getting it secondhand. It might make a difference in how you look at him.
Admittedly, Trump does misspeak sometimes (mainly by not being specific enough on a subject), but none of his gaffs appear to be too serious, other than it allows his political opposition to distort his generalizations and make him look bad.
Like when his opponents were claiming Trump said ALL illegal Mexican immigrants were rapists, when Trump merely stated the truth that SOME illegal Mexican immigrants were rapists. Trump’s enemies want you to think he is after ALL Mexicans, when nothing could be further from the truth.
Trump is brand new to the game of politics, but he is learning fast, which I think is probably one of his best qualities: He seeks out expert advice and takes it. Trump got a contract one time, to rebuild New York City’s skating arena, which was falling into disrepair, and the first thing Trump did was seek out the best ice skate rink builder in the world, who he hired, and they rebuilt New York’s ice arena to be one of the best in the world. Trump doesn’t have to know everything, he just has to know who the experts are, and seek them out and listen to them. That’s what he will do.
Trump’s not perfect, but I think his heart is in the right place (I can hear the Lefties grumbling now), and I think he is entirely capable of carrying out what he says he wants to do: Make America Great Again.
Just about anyone would be better than Hillary Clinton. She scares me more than Obama does. If anyone was going to turn into a tyrant after assuming the power of the presidency, I would think it would be Hillary. Her whole history points in that direction.
Plus, Hillary gets away with her corruption, which will only encourage her to continue. I don’t know that a Republican Congress would do anything to stop her, just like they have done nothing to stop Obama.
