Al Jazeera has made an outrageous claim that climate “denial” is helping to kill 400,000 people every year.

How can climate change possibly be killing 400,000 people per year, when the green movement can’t even produce one legitimate climate refugee?
Blaming Climate Change is a terrific scapegoat for corruption and incompetence, of which there is no shortage in many parts of the Middle East. WUWT recently reported how the former governor of Alexandria tried to blame Climate Change for the lethal floods which swept his city, in an apparent effort to deflect accusations of poor civic infrastructure management.
The terrorist Osama Bin Laden once attempted to conflate climate change and hatred of the West, perhaps he was just a bit before his time. Now Al Jazeera, the news service backed by the hardline Qatari dictatorship, appears in my opinion to be trying to finish what Bin Laden started.
Let us hope Al Jazeera don’t succeed in their apparent efforts to fan the flames of mindless hatred.
Step 1, Al Jazeera, Qatar should inmmediately stop its production of about 3.2 million barrels of oil equivalent per day from gas and 2 million barrels of oil per day (2014 figures) and leave the remaining hydrocarbons in the ground.
In fact, Qatar is the largest producer per capita of fossil fuels.

I see the U.S. with it’s 9.4 mmbpd of crude oil production didn’t even make the list. Maybe all those countries on the list should start making payments to the U.S.

They forgot to calculate how many have died because of the climate change UN/countries rules, regulations, and policies put in place. Hard to calculate, but I am sure it is more than 400,000.
The irony of a climate true believer claiming skeptics are involved in a conspiracy theory ideation is entertaining on so many levels.

The issue is not climate change killing 400,000 people, it is opportunists like Mehdi Hasan killing brain cells every time he opens his mouth.
Environmental Disasters account for over 5,000,000 deaths a year, that’s just mother nature doing it’s thing. Maybe Medhi might want to look at having Mother Nature fired as the steward of Nature. Of course in some camps that might be considered misogynist or war on women.
The tragedy in all this is that there are serious problems to address. For example about 1.5 million people die from air pollution, yes something actually real and that can be acted upon, but I do not see UN crisis management over that. Instead we have posters of Polar Bears, we like Polar Bears.
Philosophers broadly categorize two kinds of evil:
1) Moral evil, which is done by human actions, and
2) Non-moral evil, which is pain & suffering caused by natural disasters.
The warmists apparently have only one category for evil: moral evil. –i.e. ALL pain & suffering is traced to human actions.

Evil requires intent. Natural disasters have no intent, because they’re not sentient beings. Calling a natural disaster “evil”, even with the caveat of “non-moral”, is pretty silly.

People in all parts of the world suffer from their ignorance. Those in the Middle East for some reason are particularly vulnerable to conspiracy theories based on polling data.

This 400,000 number is a typical leftist “scare” number. Back in the 1980s and 90s we had the ozone hole and homelessness “scares”. However, if you took their woven entirely from whole cloth numbers, used some elementary school level math and a dollop of common sense, you quickly realized the numbers were pure BS. I remember running the X number of homeless die every second/minute/hour calculations and coming up with the rough equivalent of almost half our population dying per year. But, the media, just like with CAGW numbers, never questioned them.
Science may win the data war on CAGW, but winning the culture war is a whole different thing.
If Al Jazeera were worried about saving lives they would pluck the log out of their own eye. They have been one of the principal promoters of war in the Middle East. Wars they have promoted have cost more than 400,000 lives already. When they have turned Islam into a peaceful religion, then they can talk about the weather.

I did some research and found some startling facts. Every year, thousands of retirees move from northern states to the warmer climate of Florida. These are people who survived perfectly well for about 70 years in cold, snowy weather, but believed the deniers who told them that higher temperatures were nothing to worry about. Within a decade or two, most of them are dead, obviously victims of Geographically Induced Climate Disruption (GICR).
Of course, there’s another explanation. I discovered that people are heading south in droves. I’m not sure what “droves” are, but clearly they’re death traps. After every major disaster or war, there are always reports of people being killed or injured in droves. Just to safe, everyone should pay attention to the scientifical evidence. Avoid warm weather and for God’s sake…stay out of droves.

If we proceed on the basis that human life has intrinsic or exceptional value, then it must be noted that one-child and selective-child (i.e. pro-choice) policies are the leading causes of premeditated human mortality in the world.
