Hard times for Aussie Alarmists – Flannery begs in new video

Story submitted by Eric Worrall

Tim Flannery, one time head of the government Climate Commission in Australia, until it was disbanded by the current government, has released a video begging for donations to “keep science in the news”. A year after raising a million dollars, he now needs more money.

Flannery has an impressive track record of being wrong. He repeatedly predicted Australia was now in permanent drought, shortly before Australia experienced so much rain, alarmists blamed the Aussie downpour for a drop in sea level.

Flannery’s predictions of permanent drought probably helped cause the squandering of billions of dollars on desalination plants.

The following is a list of some of Flannery’s more entertaining mistakes.

If Flannery is short of cash, perhaps he should try getting a job, rather than holding his hat out for other people’s cash, while taking a walk along a photogenic beach. He should certainly stop pretending he has any skill at predicting the future.

It is ironical that the cliffs behind him show relicts of past sea levels very much higher than they are today. Wave cut platforms and raised beaches can be identified along this part of the coastline.

Flummery is just a great wanker! Geez but he’s wrong on every count.
It isn’t denialism to call him out, it is common sense!

Flannery stated that he wanted to give his ‘Australian of the Year award’ back, after a conservative prime minister stated the view that one shouldn’t wreck the economy for climate change.

SM & Lee are you referring to farm dams or the big ones that supply water to urban areas? Because most large dams and catchment areas are usually on non agricultural land. Anyway it is a thought I had never considered before. Remember folks plants give us oxygen as well.

thinkadonga, (great name?) Well, why doesn’t he give back some of his income too. Talk about spitting the dummy to get sympathy! My it will start a rebellion with Gore and the IPCC giving back the Noble prizes. Such a shame, ah (sarc). What goes around comes around.

Tim Flannery can be best described as a “snake-oil salesman flogging a catastrophic man-made global warming potion”.
Has anyone read Flannery’s book, “The Weather Makers”?
If one bothers reading it, one should then immediately read Dr DW Allen’s book, “The Weather Makers Re-examined”, which examines in detail the contents of Flannery’s book and exposes all Flannery’s errors, misstatements and misleading claims. Allen effectively renders Flannery’s book obsolete.
It reminds me of Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”, which was trumped by Martin Durkin’s “The Great Global Warming Swindle”.
