Antarctica continues to defy the global warming script, with a report from Meteo France, that June this year was the coldest Antarctic June ever recorded, at the French Antarctic Dumont d’Urville Station.
According to the press release, during June this year, the average temperature was -22.4c (-8.3F), 6.6c (11.9F) lower than normal. This is the coldest June ever recorded at the station, and almost the coldest monthly average ever – only September 1953 was colder, with a recorded average temperature of -23.5c (-10.3F).
June this year also broke the June daily minimum temperature record, with a new record low of -34.9c (-30.8F).
Other unusual features of the June temperature record are an unusual excess of sunlight hours (11.8 hours rather than the normal 7.4 hours), and unusually light wind conditions.
Dumont d’Urville Station has experienced ongoing activity since 1956. According to the Meteo France record, there is no other weather station for 1000km in any direction.

I hear that Australia is the canary in the coalmine for global warming. I hear global warming would make itself felt most in winter.
Definitely a cold June in the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands in SE Queensland with numerous frosts and Saturday morning saw the hardest frost yet. Even under a double coating of shade cloth the basil has cocked it. Clear nights with winds light but from the west and a big, scary moon. However, the autumn was very mild and often warm, so I expect it is just weather and not a sign of winter coming.

I have noticed this year that when the jet stream moves out away from the continent that the rate of ice growth slows. The opposite happens when the jet stream closes in on the continent. The jet moved out to where it is crossing over Australia and the sea ice anomaly has dropped from +2.08 mil/km2 back down close to +1.0 mil/km2 in a relatively short time. The sea ice should see its anomaly increase next month and into September.
GLOBAL means ALL OVER THE ENTIRE WORLD…..so HOW is it possible for even one continent to have Record Cold temperatures IF it really is warming all over the entire globe?

Nothing new here , Alaska has had 3 of the last 4 years with record breaking snows and cold temps since 1934 and 1904 .Huge Russian ice breaking ships had to help even in April get much needed supplies in the two bays to many towns on the shore line there .
The Liberal Mayor of London said last winter the mini ice age had returned to England .
Here is VA we had the coldest ,snowiest winter in 42 years
The great lakes froze over solid for the first time since 1972 .And still had ice in early June .
Brisbane has its coldest Winter in 103 Years .
The Antarctic ice pack grew over thousands of miles last year setting records .
Who do you call to buy land in Antarctica? I want to be on the front lines when global warming takes hold, then I can sell beachfront property to a bunch of schmucks.

For those of us battling the child snap in Queensland, you can blame Al Gore, I believe. Didn’t he just recently visit our greatest political clown (in a very hotly contested field) Clive Palmer? That would explain it.
Meanwhile I’m shivering with temps as low as 5C even in the tropics and on the coast. Down at the sunshine coast it got below freezing recently. I’d hate to be inland right now.

Nearly all the CO2 is released in the northern hemisphere, which is now much hotter than the southern hemisphere. But what counts is the melting of the Greenland and Antarctic ice caps which are both loosing 30 feet of vertical height per year. The other problem the thawing of the Siberian permafrost which is now releasing lots of greenhouse gasses and the thawing of the Arctic ocean floor, which is also releasing huge amounts of methane greenhouse gas, so much so, that soon the arctic methane heat trapping effect, will exceed the man made CO2 warming effect. And that’s how an unstoppable extinction level event happens. A warmer world means a much dryer world (IPPC 2007) and we see California running out of water now.

let me see, around twenty years ago we were being warned about the possibility of a mini Ice age, then abruptly the warnings stopped without any retractions to the science, real science, behind the forecast prediction, then the governments of the world immediately after started pushing global warming with their false science. Sounds to me like they are trying to cause an ice age. Don’t they know millions would die? I think they do, and that is the real reason they push global warming. It is the stated goal of globalist to reduce world population by over 80 percent.
I hear that Antarctica’s sea ice extent is near record levels in WINTER due to melting ice. Maybe it’s summer melting ice that causes this, but is that bad for albedo? No matter how you look at it, Warmists are dooooooooomed, lost in pretense.
