Wackadoodle 350.org protesters disappear their KKK moment

Last weekend I pointed out that 350.org leader Bill McKibben had endorsed the antics of some 350.org members in Texas that adopted tactics of the Klu Klux Klan – showing up at somebody’s house with mask covered faces, torches, and a threat:

micats-vigil-web

It seems the well deserved ridicule of these cowards has had an effect, they have disappeared that photo from their website. See here: http://www.tarsandsblockade.org/enbridge-home-demo/

Fortunately, I have a copy of the entire web page before that disappearing act took place.

See the PDF: Tar Sands Blockade – Enbridge

No apology, just down the memory hole. What a bunch of cowardly and pathetic people they are. That goes for Bill McKibben too who thought this was a good enough idea to promote with a tweet rather than condemn it.

I have noted the closeness of the eco movement with extremist hate organizations in the past. Since the media is so complicit, they do not even get the advantage of a reflection to see when they look like a bunch of racist bigots or genocidal hate mongers.

Yes – Jeff Masters and Bill McKibben – two CAGW peas in a pod.
Let this also serve as a reminder to everyone. Please do NOT help to fund this kind of extremism by visiting Jeff Master’s weather site, WEATHER UNDERGROUND (the only weather site named after a radical domestic terrorist group of the 1970s). There are so many BETTER weather information sites out there (though you may wish to avoid weather.com for similar reasons).

Better idea:
When they show up at your house, this is what you say, “you are under citizens arrest, the charge, making a terrorist threat”.
They look violent, just in case, bring your gun. Oh, and the fire marshall, are those torches legal?

Someone stands outside your house with burning torches, they are clearly threatening you with burning down your house. Threatening is a criminal offense and they should have been arrested and charged. So what we are seeing is a failure of law enforcement.
The protestors themselves would have without doubt used fossil fuels to create the torches, and driven to the protest using fossil fuels. The hypocrisy of relying on the very thing they are protesting against.

What utter idiots they are all tools…like Jess said above “why are that covering their faces”…Oh I get it…..it’s cold….so no global warming then. Look at all the crap coming out of those torches, what are they using to burn them because the smoke is not white white as it would be if it was only wood burning.

They should come to my house to protest. My dog loves left-wing hypocrites.
He thinks they taste like “chicken marinated in hemp and Doritos”!

There are 2 photos of these environmental ‘heros’
One photo in front of a $500K home. Where they are in the dark, whispering and giggling.
The other where they are boldly carrying torches and standing in front of a rusty chain linked fence. A chain linked fence which looks very out of place for a neighborhood of expensive homes.

Looks to me like a good catch you made there Doug. An enterprising reporter would go to the CEO’s house and see if that chain link fence and ratty yard that they’re standing in appears anywhere near his house.
Of course, your find, if borne out, would diminish their “threat” somewhat, but it also would significantly reduce their credibility, so perhaps a fair tradeoff.

I hope everyone had time to check out the ‘Songs and Chants’ section of the tarsandsblockade website. If you haven’t have the pleasure, it’s like reading Grade 2 poetry, if Grade 2 children were by nature, ignorant and angry.
If you need a good laugh, here’s the link;

I think the local utilities need to find where these protesters live and turn the electricity off. That would help them live the way they think we should all live.
I like the guy in back right in cameo, wonder how big the SUV he drove there.

Re MattS:
It is more of a treat, than his normal diet. There is no nutritional value. Empty rhetoric equals empty calories. Plus they empty their bowels as soon as they see him. So he gets to chase them, while they waddle like penguins. The entertainment value, is part of the appeal.

They may wish to consult Texas Code before pulling this again…
A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property:
(1) if he would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.41; and
(2) when and to the degree he reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:
(A) to prevent the other’s imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime; or
(B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property; and
(3) he reasonably believes that:
(A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or
(B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.
Acts 1973, 63rd Leg., p. 883, ch. 399, Sec. 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1974. Amended by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 900, Sec. 1.01, eff. Sept. 1, 1994.

Has anybody reported this to the authorities in Houston? Houston PD? My understanding is that the victim does not have to file a complaint for terrorist threats, and the police can act based on evidence and probable cause – which there is here in spades.

I am shocked at this. In NE Oregon back in the 20’s the KKK was rampant. . My family was mixed
race by the reason of my Granpa married a Native American (my Granma). and was not secret about it. Granpa saved a Catholic Priest from a beating by two KKK Klowns. Granpa whipped the hoods off of them-with his whip.My Pop was 1/2 Native of course and put up with racist crap all his life, I am not surprised that his tactic is used by .350.org. They are darn lucky that they weren’t shot.
Granma had a little “cure” for KKK tactics: a 12.ga double barrel. Yes she pulled it on some “Visitors” one day to the ranch. (along with 5 border collies.)

I was debating online recently about the lack of emperors clothes when it comes to actual evidence. In steps a 350.org supporter with a tired laundry list of links. This person insisted that the Maldives will be covered in water this century. When I pointed put that would require 10x the current rate of sea level rise, they changed and said they only meant the habitable regions. They then posted another long rant and urged fellow commenters to sign up. The thing that irks me, is that if these types of comments were for churches, amway or anything else, then they would be kicked out and their comment deleted on this particular forum. But apparently some religions are ore equal.
There’s no point with these people – they are fanatics and they will continue down this path until one of them does something stupid. This will be the point that the public finally says enough, but I fear a tragedy will occur first.

As a few people have pointed out above, these idiots put their lives in danger. I can promise you that if Mr. Maki had pulled out a shotgun and killed a few of them he’d have never seen the inside of a jail cell. When a group of people shows up on your lawn with torches and threatening signs in Texas, you don’t get prosecuted for shooting them.
Mr. McKibben should be ashamed for promoting such terrible – and ultimately DANGEROUS – behavior. What if his endorsement led to more groups trying the same ‘demonstration’ and getting hurt?
