Since Michael Mann seems fond of fossil fueled trips like this one:
Mike Mann, Stephan Rahmstorf, Kari Norgard at the rift between continental plates in southern Iceland.

Big in Reykjavik | Climate Denial Crock of the Week
And since he agrees people who use fossil fuels (carbon polluters) should pay:

How much should his bill be for all the travels he’s made by air? Here’s a few more examples:
========================================================
Warmist Michael Mann takes fossil-fueled trip to oil-funded Oklahoma State, then suggests that fossil fuel companies are evil because their products cause bad weather
Climatology professor talks change, research
Mann, a professor of climatology at Pennsylvania State University, spoke of the research and challenges he has compiled and faced as a scientist before a room of about 430 people in the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.

And he’s still at it, pushing his book:
Climate Researcher Michael Mann to Speak Oct. 22 at Ohio Wesleyan University
Author to Discuss ‘The Hockey Stick and the Climate Wars’ as Part of 2013 Sagan National Colloquium
========================================================
Unless Dr. Mann can show he didn’t use fossil fuels to get to any of these destinations, he’s nothing but a hypocrite.
I’d hate to see weepy Bill McKibben’s bill for all his air travel.
On the list of paradoxes, not many beat flying around the world to give talks about climate change.

Probably better to stick with the science than to stoop to ridiculing this pathetic little man.
Seconded. But thanks anyway
Apparently he doesn’t know that even the IPCC says CO2 doesn’t cause hurricanes, along with those who study tropical storms for a living.
Hilarious! I would love to commission a bunch of papparazzi to follow big name alarmists and photograph them using energy, in order to shame them and expose their hypocrisy.
Science would be best served by ridiculing, exposing, and prosecuting this pathetic little man.
We are not engaged in a scientific discussion or debate with Mann and his ilk. They understand that this is a communications/information battle.
They know that and waging the battle full strength. See Mann’s last book. Nothing to do with science, and all to do with “communications.”
Until proof of Mann’s fraudulent “research” is uncovered, and until he and his co-dependent employers are forced to pay back any fraudulently received funds, he will continue to live the life of a Mafioso don. In your face, blatant catch-me-if-you-can flamboyance.
A whistleblowing grad student from his lab, or the IT guy who ran his “statistics” would be perfect to reveal all of Mann’s machinations.
It’s coming–slowly.

Ojala!
Cuccinelli as VA governor would help.

Too funny, all he really needed to do was get out of the “tundra buggy”, the bears will track HIM down.
At least 2 of the 3 were smart enough to wear a coat to ward off those Global Warming temperatures in Iceland.
He’s not the only hypocrite!! the Uk’s Climate Change department of government is at as well , but then again these Alarmist’s message was always don’t do what we do, do what we say.

Could Michael Mann be trying to out- Al Gore Al Gore?
You are all too cruel. The fact that Mann is only 3’11” tall and looks like a congenital idiot should not subtract from the “The Science”. Whatever that is.
No matter how much you charge, he will turn the bill upside-down and claim you owe him.
Oh for the good old days of real hypocrisy, when scoundrels actually bothered to conceal their misbehaviour. Now they flaunt it in our faces, since they know there is nothing we can do about it.
But, woe betide them if they are wrong.
If Prof Mann had stood just one step to his left for the second photo he’d be wearing a halo. Shoddy photographer!

He brings it on himself with his personal attacks on those who disagree with him and his outrageous hypocrisy. He deserves every insult and piece of ridicule aimed at him, and more.
Mr. Mann is to climate as mr. fruitfly is to GMO’s

Scott, Mann uses the Alinsky method of ridicule against real skeptics. Fire with fire.
Posters here have forgotten the first law : An action can be justified by the intentions of the perpetrator. If Lefties are doing it, it’s not wrong.
No matter how much you charge, he will turn the bill upside-down and claim you owe him.
You mean like his upside-down hair?
Sorry Anthony but I really dislike this f***** a******.
Did you know he was only 3′ 9″ tall?
I am in North Wales and loathe this little creep with a passion.
The little……..
Sorry,I got over-enraged. but…
Assuming this is the article he’s hyping:
http://www.takepart.com/article/2013/10/11/group-calls-levy-carbon-emissions-offset-hurricane-damages
”Human-induced warming from carbon emissions has raised global sea levels by about one foot since 1990, Penn State climatologist Michael Mann said last year.”
Mann apparently didn’t read the article he’s touting. Surely, M. Mann knows better than that. You’d have to generously round up to call the sea level rise from 1890 “one foot” at about 20 centimeters (0.66 ft), but there’s no way to reconcile one foot from 1990 that’s @ur momisugly more like 5 centimeters or 0.16 feet.
The article goes on to say ”the group is calling on the federal government to create an “Extreme Weather Relief and Protection Fund,” paid for in part by companies that “pollute carbon.”
OMG! So, let’s say YOU didn’t use electricity; then the electric company wouldn’t have to make electricity for YOU. It is for YOU (and the rest of us that want a modern standard of living) that the electric company makes electricity, not for sh!t$ and giggles.
But you don’t get paid as much, or have such good holidays, if you appear by video link.
Don’t forget the grant funded trips to Tahiti – which is apparently an important research centre.

As I’ve booked the flights on frequent flyer miles, I’m wondering if I can convince myself (my grant) that I can justify the hotel … looking forward to seeing you in Tahiti, we can enjoy some nice tropical drinks w/ umbrellas in them.where are you planning on staying by the way? I haven’t decided yet. The cheap options sound way to spartan to me, but the nicer options are so expensive!
AW mentioned Harold Camping earlier this week. Mann is just another “Camping”. When the “camp-out” is over, no one will remember Mann.
I am sorry to say I think you are wrong about the venue. The picture of Mann looks like it was taken at the site of the ancient Icelandic Parliament.
Also, it is not a ‘rift’, it is the Mid Atlantic Ridge – the best place to view it in Iceland is a long, N/S valley with terraces of ancient lava flows along its side.
