Why we don't take CNN or Bill Nye seriously anymore: asteroid> meteor> global warming

Paul Westhaver writes in Tips and Notes:

CNN talking empty head (Feyerick) asks Bill Nye if approaching Meteor was a result of global warming…. but Bill’s response is oddly disquieting.

“Except it’s all science,” Nye said rescuing Feyerick. “The word meteorology and the word meteor come from the same root, so…”

Nye went on to discuss the asteroid which has missed impacting earth by 15 minutes. He says if this body were to impact over a populated area like New York City, that municipality would be completely leveled.

It gets worse. Mumbles McGuirk adds in Tips and Notes:

[T]his Saturday MSNBC broadcast with Bill Nye explaining that GW will cause storms to spin counter-clockwise in the ‘new normal.’

Bill Nye explains the science of storms

Bill Nye “The Science Guy” joins MSNBC’s Craig Melvin to talk about how climate change contributed to this weekend’s blizzard in the Northeast.

Gotta love the way Nye explains the Coriolis force.

We can only hope the stupid burns up in the atmosphere, either by re-entry or Global Warming.

The truth of this is that Feyerick, the CNN Bimbo in residence and chief Twit asked such a stupid question that Nye had to mumble a nonsequiter just to get out of an embarrassing moment. Westerhaven should have been looking more carefully at what was actually happening instead of misleading all of us about what Nye meant. We must realize that the news readers are morons, just on screen ‘talent’. Most of them couldn’t walk and chew gum at the same time.

Richard Carlson says:

Bill
I listened to it several times again, also, and did not hear/make out a “no,no.” He said something just as she was saying “meteoric event.” But I couldn’t make out what he said as he said it while she was still talking. Perhaps he was saying no to it being a meteor, because at that point he starts talking about the origins of the words meteor and meterololgy.
At 13 seconds, after he’s processed the stupid comment he speaks over her and says “no,no”. You can interpret that as mumbling if you want, but it’s clear to my ears.

Years ago Bill Nye Had His own show, or segment to someone else’s show. I can’t recall. His sidekick at the time was Soledad O’brien. Somewhere now she’s a news anchor. She is a Major AGW mouthpiece.

Have any of you seen the movie “Idiocracy”? We’re living it right now, in so many ways!

Interesting that he mentions the Tunguska, Siberia event in 1908. That is when the 20th century warming started – as well as the reversal of the direction of change that the north magnetic pole was traveling as it is now heading to Tunguska. Vladimir Shaidurov of the Russian Academy of Sciences proposed that this event started the global warming.

CNN info-chikita finally serves a purpose: to show how ridiculous these MSM businesses are.

Tough day to be Bill Nye……His shame should be pretty unbearable now.
Before his Near-Miss…doomsday prediction and after which he advises we should get nervous, out of the blue … bam…. a meteorite whacks Russia. 1000 people get hurt….and Bill never saw it coming… nobody did. We were too busy watching the Bill’s red-herring in the wrong direction. Seems fitting. Doom-Sayers….. looking the wrong way.
Was I nervous? No, absolutely not! Poor Bill the Science abuser would have been under a chair wringing his hands had he knew the unknowable.
Bill needs Prozac.
Incidentally, that Russian meteorite did more damage than the myth of AGW ever did.
