Climate Craziness of the Week – Forbes Steve Zwick loses it

Steve Zwick
Steve Zwick

Wow, it doesn’t get much uglier than this. In my opinion, this is hate speech. Steve Zwick writes in his Forbes column:

We know who the active denialists are – not the people who buy the lies, mind you, but the people who create the lies.  Let’s start keeping track of them now, and when the famines come, let’s make them pay.  Let’s let their houses burn.  Let’s swap their safe land for submerged islands.  Let’s force them to bear the cost of rising food prices.

They broke the climate.  Why should the rest of us have to pay for it?

People who doubt the magnitude of CO2/AGW driven climate change broke the climate?

I suppose then that Mr. Zwick has never driven a car, never taken an airplane trip, never heated or cooled his home, never bought products produced overseas and shipped here, never grilled at a BBQ, or never used electricity to power his computer to write his litany of hate for Forbes. No, he’s apparently not used any CO2 producing modern convenience at all, which is why he bizarrely believes he has some sort of moral high ground.

His hypocrisy is beyond description. His full essay is here.

For those who wish to complain about his hate speech against fellow Americans, see the Forbes Contact page here.

As for his points about the Yale poll trying to make us all fear the weather as some human caused machination of climate, read this.

This is hilarious! Make him do it again! Steve Zwick, I’m leaving an electric light on in my house tonight just for you.

I believe that once they have consolidated power (raw political force) their words will be more than mere rhetoric; they will become reality. AGW is merely a microcosm for all the other ways in which the totalitarians want to vent their hatred against anyone who disagrees with them — against anyone who actually lives the way their conscience convicts them that they should live.

I’ll take the bet, my wealth against his, winner take all, based on whether the last IPCC temp predictions are correct.

As I posted elsewhere at the time of the Gleick affair, we can expect many more of these embarrassing meltdowns. In the past those like Zwick who supported this hoax would be able to simply change their tune and move on to the next cause. We now live in the age of the Internet and I believe this to be a game changer. There will of course be new “Causes” involving words such as Bio-Justice, Social-Justice and Sustainability. However all the main players who would champion these causes are locked to their past involvement in the AGW hoax by the Internet. This in part explains the growing panic and desperation writ large in the recent Gleick and Zwick stupidity. Those involved in the hoax never considered the price of failure in the age of the Internet and they have no exit strategy. A fun Google game to play is to do a search for the language of vilification such as “denier”, “contrarian”, “big oil shill” or “flat earther” along with the name of any environmentalist, politician or journalist of the left or “High-Profile” climate scientist. The Internet will prevent a great many from simply moving on to the next “Cause”
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit,
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it
For the all those who promoted the hoax there will be tears. Sceptics will never forgive and the Internet will never forget.
PS. Folks should not worry about Zwick taking vigilante action as he is clearly armed with the Gleick 9mm. http://tinypic.com/r/20qyxsp/5

When the evidence is on you side, plead the evidence.
When the law is on you side, plead the law.
When neither the evidence nor the law is on your side, bang on the table and yell obscene accusations at you opponent
Most of all accuse your opponents of the things of which you are most guilty.
Eco-fascism, like all socialist undertakings throughout history, will eventually eat its own.

Free speech is free speech folks.
Don’t support or drive anything that restricts it – lest we will all regret it

The religion of climate change has founds its “jews”. Prepare for the holocaust. I listened to a radio show this evening (“Ring P1 in Sweden). This woman argued that, since babies will eventually grow up and produce C02 (essentially), parents shouldn’t be allowed to have any UNLESS they could PROVE they were WORTHY. Can you imagine, climate Nazism is upon us. And now this Forbes piece. It is truly scary. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets ugly, really ugly. The world is going crazy.

Hmmmm…from looking at him and Mann and Hansen I had a revelation, baldness causes global warming.
==============================================
Whoa! Hold on there! Think this through! It’s like CO2 increases raising temperatures. One scientist here (on WUWT) commented about the last (slight) cooling phase of 1940 – 1975 as being “back when I had hair.”
I had hair back then, too. There’s your evidence! Global warming causes baldness—not the other way round.

Just like the 350.org people, he has no clue that most people identify with skeptics more than alarmists, so he just effectively insulted/alienated most of the population. He’s not helping “the Cause”! LOL

Let’s give Mr. Zwick a smart meter that turns off his power when the rolling blackouts come after the coal-fired power plants are shut down.

I guess I am too old at 65 as I was taught about CO2 in grade school… maybe I have not partied enough, but I still recall that CO2 is not evil BUT is actually required for life.
Mr. Zwick, If we get behind all of the anti-CO2 crowd (shrinking), we will ultimately kill off all living things.
Including you, and all your friends, everyone… no food – no life, very simple.
Oh, sorry… I forgot you don’t recall the concepts of limits from calculus… too much partying?… or skipping too many classes.
No critical thinking, no basic knowledge, where is Steve FORBES on this?

If Steve Zwick thinks that things are “bad” now wait until I finish building my climate control machine. I building it using all the same science used to build all those great IPCC predictive models so Steve should be very very worried cause you know its gotta work. Once its ready I am going to drop a tornado right on top of his house at 4 am. Just waiting for my check from Exxon to finish it.

I do not take his premise as being typical of the good people of Tennessee. Of some of their politicians maybe, but we all have to suffer these types. Even a few of them are having second thoughts:

Some of the comments by real firefighters are worth reading….

Throughout history, despots (and would-be despots) are the same. If you cross them, you get a bullet or concentration camp and loose all of your possessions. Stalin, Hitler, Castro, Chavez, it’s all the same recipe. Zwick seems to fit the mold.

Guys like this zwick are disgusting.
They want death and destruction, because it would prove them right. And if they are right, then that gives them license to enjoy their revenge fantasies and never notice how crazy and evil they sound.
Zwick knows better than you.
I suggest we beg for his wise consultation on every possible decision.
Then maybe he won’t burn my house down.

Good news! Steve Zwick believes he may be able to avoid the effort of writing attacks on
the denier “zombie hordes…… armed with snippets of scientific-sounding gobbledygook”………. the “Mind-Weed Firewall.
“We can, in theory, develop algorithms that identify and debunk these mind-weeds as soon as they pop up – something like anti-virus software. It’s doable because most of this junk has been around for years.”

Steve Zwick is your tax dollars at work. The “non-profit” Forest Trends has big bucks behind it,
http://www.ecosystemmarketplace.com/pages/dynamic/web.page.php?section=about_us&page_name=sponsors
including the US Secretary of State’s USAID which “advances U.S. foreign policy objectives by supporting……………… conflict prevention and humanitarian assistance.” !!
But I guess when, as Steve says,
” Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and droughts…They’re all on the increase, everywhere you look – just as climate models predict. ( 28 March 2012),
you can not afford to waste time or be polite.

Hmmm….haven’t we already seen Forbes columnists “apparently” going at each other in the Peter Gleick saga? I say “apparently” because it seems Forbes is onto a winner if they get more website traffic and hits from people that they assume to be representative of the extremes?

Steve Zwick…. wow… what a hater he is.
Assume he’s right…. I have enough rural arable land at 44degrees latitude to feed myself come the zombie apocalypse or should warmer times come. I also have rifles, shotguns and lots of ammunition and seeds.
So it is more likely that Zwick will be kissing my denialist a$$ for my table scraps than me scavenging around in his urban clime.
Since it won’t be warm enough for me to have any useful output from my land, I guess I’ll have to rely on K-Rations and UHT foods stored in a bunker if the zombie apocalypse comes in my lifetime.
Steve, you are old, mean and stupid.
