So much has been going on this week, and today especially, that I almost forgot that Willis Eschenbach has a very special birthday today.
Since Willis contributes a great deal here, I want to give him my thanks and well wishes, and hope that you will also.
Happy B-day, W.
I enjoy your style and common sense.
Happy birthday Willis! I’ll aways cherish your masterly demolition of Jerome Ravetz’s arguments for post-normal science.
65? Happy birthday, Kid!
With apologies to the mods, but its worth saying, happy birthday, Willis, thanks, and thanks to Anthony too!
Well it is the weekend, so I am raising my glass (Ruthless Ry) and saying huzzah! to Willis. May the next 65 be as interesting and fulfilling as the first. Thanks for the education, worth every penny : P.
Willis,
Every day…
In every way…
Your’re getting older and older.
Keep getting older, Willis!
May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon on your face…. wishing you a wonderful birthday. Richvs
Happy Birthday, Willis!
…and many more.
Happy Birthday, Willis!!
I’m only a newbie here but I wanted to say that I greatly enjoy and appreciate your contributions.
Thinking of all you’ve managed to be doing in your 65 years makes me sick….. er, I mean it fills me with awe and tells me to start doing more with my life. So you are an inspiration, too. Enjoy many more good years on this earth and keep us informed……. thank you.

A very happy birthday (belated), Willis. My initial WAG was 60, so I’m doubly gobsmacked.
Willis, may your not-so-obvious decline be ever more gradual.
From a rapidly declining 66. Ain’t happening to you, pal! Many thanks for all your thought-provoking articles.
Happy birthday Willis.
From your fan in the Philippines.
Happy 65th, a few months after mine.
Have you decided yet what you’re going to do when you grow up and have to stop fooling around? (I never managed).
8-0 !!
As Willis knows, Feb tends to be reserved for the very best – George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Ronald Reagan (same day as me), Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, etc.
Happy belated birthday Willis, I’ve been away all week.
All the best 🙂
Happy happy birthday
Just got back from vocation. Man things have been happening
