WUWT Year End Report

Thanks to everyone that continues to help make WUWT:

“…the world’s most viewed climate website”

– Fred Pearce The Climate Files: The Battle for the Truth about Global Warming

Here’s some year end numbers from my wordpress.com hosted stats page. All numbers represent full page views.

Here’s the data table of completed page views, peak month in green:

WordPress.com sent me this interesting (but a bit silly) year-end summary via email:

There are about 1 million books published worldwide per year. This blog was viewed about 34,000,000 times in 2010. That’s about 34 times as much as the total number of books published in 2010

In 2010, you wrote 1884 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 4175 posts.

Obviously Climategate and Copenhagen in December 2009 was a watershed traffic event, and as interest waned and summer set in, so did traffic. But, the overall trend remains upward:

I offer a special thanks to my moderation team, who work tirelessly in the background to keep this forum running smoothly. Thanks also go to guest posters who help bring a diversity of ideas and discussion.

And for those if you that have sent private messages of encouragement, I sincerely thank you.

Congratulations are too early. It’s not over ’til the fat lady sings and at the moment she’s nowhere in sight. Yes, the fight is going well but there’s a long way to go. Just KBO, Anthony and team. The great unwashed out here can’t do much but we have to keep spreading the message. For a moment, I thought I was spreading a religion so just make sure you keep bashing the enemy with science (real science). The truth will make you free! (And with a bit of luck, pay less tax to these scammers).

Way to go, Anthony and all!
However, were those traffic charts peer reviewed by the most suitable and appropriate peers?! 😉

REPLY: I don’t know where you got that text for WUWT, perhaps the old startup URL of wattsupwiththat.wordpress.com
Yes, that’s the old wordpress.com site info. My apologies, and thanks for the correction.

When I first found WUWT? it was like a Jacob’s Ladder shone down on me. Remember that for at least 20 years, My father (Dr. Tim Ball), Richard Lindzen, and myself were the only skeptics that I knew. It was a long dark period to have to stick to ones guns. Socially and economically ostracized, it was very difficult. People can be brutal, especially when funding is on the line. Thanks to Anthony and all the mods and contributors who have helped me to understand that common sense CAN prevail over bloated green propaganda. The “we predicted the cooling” meme coming from the alarmist camp is absolutely hilarious. They are eating their own tail/tale.

Revision if it’s not too late, should read Dr. Richard Lindzen. Credit where credit is due.

Thank you Anthony et al (not the gore-m-less) for all your hard work on this site. It is much appreciated. I’ll try to sock a contribution soon, but have no spare funds atm after having to buy another great load of highly price-inflated heating oil lately; thanks to our global-warming loaded winter!

Congratulations to Anthony. (Nobody beats “the Rev”!)
It is an honor and a privilege to moderate for him.
