The world of climate change alarmism just got a new ally. No I’m not kidding.
CAIRO (AP) – Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has called in a new audiotape for the world to boycott American goods and the U.S. dollar, blaming the United States and other industrialized countries for global warming.
In the tape, aired in part on Al-Jazeera television Friday, bin Laden warns of the dangers of climate change and says that the way to stop it is to bring “the wheels of the American economy” to a halt.
Umm, where have we heard this before?

never mind Bin Laden – what’s happeningto Arctic ice? The graph seems to indicate a peak this winter of well under 14 MK^2, and probably the lowest since 2002, around 13MK^2.

Bin Laden and Barack Obama certainly seem to be on the same page. Both determined to fight global warming at any cost.
It takes time to get these tape recordings out of the mountains. I think they travel by Yak back. This one may have been delyed when the Yak was stampeded by a drone passing a half mile over head. It took a month to track the Yak down out on a ledge on a high mountain pass. Then it took another month to get down to Kurdistan, and have the tape shipped to Saudi Arabia via Federal Express.
It actually was suppose to be played at Copenhagen.

Which of the graphs are you talking about? It always depends on extend or area, which satellite, who counts the pixels and who does the smoothing. Comparing DMI-temperatures and Nansen-ice-area, one would have to say that too much cold stops ice from growing.

The Secret Services are Becoming More and More Nutty
Ok Al BBC Jazeera is largely a British operation and is full of former BBC staff. The UK media is in turn full of secret services personnel. Bin Laden was a CIA man. He was a very sick man and died in 2001 and it was in the Egyptian and Pakistani newspapers.
The subsequent videos and tapes are all just very poor hoaxes by the intelligence services. They don’t have to be good quality because they control the media too. Intel centre are the ones that do such videos. They specislise in terrorist videos: Taliban, Al Qaeda, phoney Uighur terrorists (who threatened the Olympics) anything really and any message to suit (global warming no problem). Intelcentre is run by former US army psychological operations and intelligence officers including one who worked directly for Rumsfeld. Here is a link and price list:

I agree, but you do not go far enough. He wants to destroy the west economy. if people just realized what they were bleating at the insistence of “Napolean”, they would see that the end results are the same, the only difference between this AGW movement and OBL is in the means.
I never suspected that he was a member of Greenpeace, but now I think about it he seems to fit right in.
When he releases a video with him holding a very recent USA Today, I might believe it.
I’d wager the cost of the Kyoto Protocol that bin Laden is already dead, and I’d really like all these arabic tapes of ‘bin Laden’ to be examined publicly and forensically.
This is a non-story, a tactic and nothing to do with global climate.
What I’d like to see is someone photoshop that image of Osama, and put Al gores face on his! I would give it a try, but I downloaded a trial version of Photoshop a little while ago and now can’t use it! grr
