The world of climate change alarmism just got a new ally. No I’m not kidding.
CAIRO (AP) – Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has called in a new audiotape for the world to boycott American goods and the U.S. dollar, blaming the United States and other industrialized countries for global warming.
In the tape, aired in part on Al-Jazeera television Friday, bin Laden warns of the dangers of climate change and says that the way to stop it is to bring “the wheels of the American economy” to a halt.
Umm, where have we heard this before?

The guy is right you know. NASA GISS and Michael Mann are responsible for the data sets that created global warming.
For someone, who has spent so much thought on how to damage the US economy, I’m surprised that he has realised this only now.

It was only a matter of time. Those that wish to “expose” and teardown the US supposed malfeasance (environmentalist and statists) have provided the perfect vehicle for those outside the US – Global Warming. Think of this, Bin Laden is now on the same “moral ground” as Mann, Hansen, Gore, et al.
Great post! Both funny and obvious. Why would anyone be surprised that OBL would sign up with a lie ained at hurting the west? Only surprise is he apparently waited until it was certain it was a lie.

The probability that bin Laden is alive is minuscule, voice can be easily created by computer. The last video I had seen was obviously a stand in that could only fool westerners who think any swarthy man with a beard is bin Laden. Benazir Buto years and years ago had said he was dead.
Anyway, of course al Qaeda will be all for cap and trade. Nothing like making your enemy commit hara kiri.
Now when a warmist goes all irrational on me I can come back with “Ah. An ally of Osama. Eh?”

I always thought it but didn’t dare to say it. He knows that Cap&Trade will destroy the US better and sooner that his Jihad suicides. So, logically, there are a few guys out there sharing goals with Al-Qaida, but who’s the original idea.

Actually nothing new here. OBL has sporadically done this climate change riff since 9/11.
Never thought I would see Bin Laden sign on to a new religion! On the other hand, he was never much of a Muslim, what with that murdering all the other muslims is okay bit.
But wiping out large parts of humanity in order to cleanse the world is one of the basic beliefs of his new religion, so I guess it’s not really surprising he’s found a home there!
