Anthony, I want you to know that I will file an FOIA request for the raw data and the code that was used to generate this hockey stick. I am sure you employed some sort of trick to hide the decline.
Happy new year! WUWT, WUWT, Hooray!

Congratulations Anthony and a happy and continuing successful New Year.
I think we will soon find that the hockey stick has been flipped the right way so that the blade is now the first part and the handle is the uptick.
Real interest is up in all manner of scientific, and there is a resurgence in the value of critical thinking. It’s about time the peer review gatekeepers, lost the key to the doors of science. Real progress toward the truth will pick up from here on, thanks for being here when needed.
“It is during times of prosperity especially that we must always be ready to risk even dangerous undertakings, such as the crossing of a river, if they are necessary. So too we must not neglect what is distant but must attend scrupulously to everything.”
“Factionalism and dominance of cliques are especially to be avoided. Even if people of like mind come forward together, they ought not to form a faction by holding together for mutual advantage; instead, each man should do his duty.” ~I Ching
You have done a very good job of doing yours, thanks.

Congratulations. The future owes you Anthony; you and the Moderators and the expert witnesses who post here as well as the vast readership which learns and passes on the information to steady a world which has been stampeded.
(New Year’s Day was good to us in Melbourne. Mild, with more rain thundering its arrival anytime now. 9:01pm.)

Yes but I can hear the “peer-reviewers” on these issues saying already:
“Blogs” are not Scientific” [in the vein of the “Weather is not Climate” pile of straw-crap that is shaped like a man].
I defy anyone to be able to produce a science blog [and this, for a blog, is hard to do] which tries to incorporate the free-thinking checks and balances of the Scientific Method any ******* better than WUWT!
Yeah sure you have the likes of Duke University researcher and congressional science researcher Sheril Kirshenbaum, co-author of Unscientific America talking down her nose on NPR a few months back, aghast, that the best voted scientific blog in 2009 was “WattsUpWithThat” a [in her words] “climate-change-denialist blog.”
But Sheril is all too typical of their ilk: Elitists who, instead of debating the facts…..make cheap-shots like that one on national radio, and then retreat into their ivory towers [holes], free from real debate and consequence.
Of the ten (10) emails I have sent her, calling her to task and also critisizing her book, she has never ever responded, once!
Very, very telling.
Sorry….I digress. The great thing about the success of WUWT, besides being an unbelievable roster and clearinghouse for so many great minds, scientists, engineers, physicists, and laypeople, from around the world…is that it continues to broadcast unabated, and without compromise….the search for the truth.
Well….Res Ipsa Loquiter, Anthony.
Many hats off to you here and to the community on here and I would like to personally wish you all a prosperous and meaningful new year!

So many have traded in their Mann Hockey Stick for the WattsUpWithThat Slugger, and driven the ball out of the park. Funny how things change character when they are at last uncloaked.

Who was that masked man? We want to thank him.
If we extend that line only 10 years into the future this blog will consume more than the entire computing resources of the planet leading to catestrophic global computing failure and the end of our world as we know it.

Congratulations, Anthony and the team, for what you have accomplished.
Educating is fun, ain’t it?
Also, if you notice the blade part of your hockey stick, it definitely started ramping up prior to the UEA-CRU leak.
I believe 2007 was the year the wheels started vibrating on the cAGW wagon, 2008 they started wobbling, and 2009 one of them fell off. Here’s hoping that 2010 sees another one or two of those wheels break away.
Happy New Year to all!
Hockey sticks charts go level for ever then up. Anthony’s chart goes up and up and up and even more up. May be a putter would fit Anthony better. Golf anyone?
Don’t worry, I’m sure they can hide the incline over at RC.
Congrats and good work.

Nice hockey-stick / exponential growth, but can you publish your raw data and (relevant) programs used to process this to get the graph?
This is not to denigrate your remarkable success, but to set an example to the warmists of how easy and straight forward it is to be transparent in the publication process.

Dear All
Happy New Year
Anthony and colleagues this is a great site and your success is well deserved.
I rather not be a party pooper but our Gav has recommended I get some guys called McIntyre and McIttrick to investigate your hockey stick graph. Please send them the data :-\
