Must see video – Climategate spoof from Minnesotans for Global Warming

I’m still wiping the tears from my eyes. This is hilarious and extremely well produced.

From the website Minnesotans for global warming

Sung to the tune of :

Once people start to laugh at the AGW brand it’s all over. This is great and have posted it downunder.

Leave it to Minnesotans to add a little context to all of this 😀

Thomas, nice one…
I bet very few people here will understand that that scene from the movie has been made into literally thousands of humorous take-offs on pretty much everything, only the subtitles change…
I liked this one…
I also enjoyed the M4GW one, I just wish the lead vocals hadn’t been recorded by someone in his home studio trying not to wake up his wife 😉

Just a shame that the music isn’t better done. Too repetitive. Parody doesn’t bear repetition. If you are going to have a chorus, make a variation. Something different, or get better musicians. Great idea, but it could have been expressed in 60 seconds and served the cause better.

For those who know The Beatles’ I’m Only Sleeping:
I’m Only Scamming
When I wake up early in the morning,
Look around for global warming.
When I’m being tricky with a scam,
See that I don’t give a damn.
Please don’t vet me;
Don’t upset me;
Leave me where I am,
I’m only scamming.
Everybody seems to think I’m hiding
I don’t mind, I’m just ‘eliding.’
Looking for my numbers at such pace,
Till they find, there’s no trace.
Please don’t spoil my hopes:
We’re on the ropes!
And after all,
I’m only lying.
Keeping an eye on the world heeding lies on Windows,
that is, on-line.
Lying there and staring at the data,
Giving it my imprimatur.
Please don’t expose my fraud
I’ll be abhorred,
And, after all,
I’m only scamming.

“What I want to know is what’s that blue thing with the weird eyes and the horns?”
It’s a Picture of Dorian Grey thing. The blue guy is what Mann really looks like afterr all his misdeeds; to see his real appearance, you have only to pull his public funding.

About the same level as a picture in the FOI file showing sceptics stranded on an iceberg. ><

I was also thinking that another Beatles’ song, Hey, Jude might fit well; if only to have four minutes of singing, “Nah, nah nah, nanana nah, hey CRU!
Hey CRU, don’t feel so sad,
take raw data, make them better …
&c.

You should win the Nobel Peace prize for that. Much more entertaining and factual than the movie that did win it.

Ohhh, I Like It!
“Hide The Decline”… will be rattling in my brain in an amusing way every time I read it from here on out.
FWIW, the stage just after “See how they distance themselves, Kohai?” (from Rising Sun) is the stage where inept defenses are offered, followed by the “humor phase”… which can be sometimes followed by the “running from the building” phase. We can only hope the stage progression continues.
We’ve already gone from “Situation Normal”, to “Stuation Normal, All Fouled Up” (or SNAFU), to Distancing themselves, and now to “Humor”…
Just a little more to do…. and they can no longer “Hide the Decline…” dah dah dah daaahhh…
