Back in May, our laughable punk rock alien reared his shiny high albedo head again…
Bob cites this as “proof they were right.”

A 25% chance of a dry spring, but a 1.3x chance over the normal chance? It reminded me of something a fortune teller might issue – vague, but defendable in any outcome. Of course, he’d hear nothing of any rebuttals, because facts don’t generate additional grants for his employer, The Grantham Institute.
Bob is always good for a laugh. While I was writing this, he posted this:
Stay frosty Bob, your job may be next.
Last month, I had commissioned our resident cartoonist, Josh, to make a new Bob Ward cartoon…citing his “green alien” persona we’ve given him here done in the spirit of an iconic Fortune Teller Machine known as Zoltar, which has about the same accuracy as Met Office forecasts. But, because Bob is such a comical low value annoyance, it took awhile for Josh to get it done, and even longer for me to post it. So, without further delay, here it is.

If you like Josh’s work, buy him a pint here. I guarantee you’ll get more enjoyment per dollar (or pound) than all the money given to The Grantham Institute.

The Grantham Institute must use one of those AI-powered “corporate buzz words generator” apps so valued by Human Resources departments in bureaucracies all around the world.

From Grantham web site – (what a laugh!)
We can call it “Grantham Style” woop woop.
Apologies to Psy.
Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals #5: ridicule.
Well done.
Poor Bob is probably suffering “Climate Anxiety” that white inner city lefty disease that seems to be an epidemic in that crowd.
“Lysenkoism was a pseudoscientific hypothesis that aimed to replace Mendelian genetics and Darwinian evolution with a new theory that could explain phenomena claimed by Lysenko to exist, such as vernalization, species transformation, inheritance of acquired characteristics, vegetative hybridization, etc.”
Makes no sense in the way he uses it. Another very specific term misapplied because it sounds cool and emphatic – thus destroying a useful language resource for short term gain
What am I missing? Well, one thing is I have no idea what Mr. Ward is responding to. Who is the clown he references?
Further, my high tech calculator says that the “normal” chance must be 19.23% if the heightened 25% is 1.3X greater. Is this what this kerfuffle is about?
Mr. Ward should crawl back under his bridge and take a long nap.
Sounds like a good descriptive for the descent to insanity..
‘he’s heading bobward’
I don’t like that Bob.
We should call him Boob instead.
Because he makes a tit of himself !!
Dimmocrats would like to study Bob-
‘It’s stupid’: Americans ridicule Democrats’ multi-million-dollar study on men
Presumably it’s costly because they need to ensure with temporal snapshots at least respondents identify as adult males during the interviews to minimise sampling error.
