LIVE at 1 p.m. ET: EPA’s Big Green Money Scam – The Climate Realism Show #137

The Heartland Institute

The investigative journalists at Project Veritas have a new scoop. President Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency is reacting to soon losing power by shoveling tens of billions of your tax dollars out the door to left-wing “green” nonprofits. “”We’re throwing gold bars off the Titanic,” said Brent Efron, Special Advisor for Implementation, EPA. “We’re getting the money out.” Again, that’s your money.

On Episode #137 of The Climate Realism Show, The Heartland Institute’s H. Sterling Burnett, Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken will cover this outrageous story. They will also cover the “Crazy Climate News of the Week,” including how gamers are “fighting climate change,” how the BRICS countries are thumbing their noses at the climate cult at the United Nations, and more.

This show will be archived in WUWT Climate TV, a collection of over six hundred videos, featuring new interviews and analysis, and covering dozens of media sources discussing, debating and analyzing the latest in climate science, climate politics, and energy policy, including topics concerning temperature, sea level, polar bears, ocean acidification, extreme weather, censorship, wild fires, and more.

Nothing will come of this. Nothing.

Re Decomposition. of grass

If there is sufficient oxygen, CO2 will most likely be the main product.

Anaerobic (deficit of oxygen, as in cows gut) will more likely produce CH4

The concentration of CH4 is 1.929 ppmv in dry air at the MLO. The reason for the low concentration is due to the initiation of its combustion by discharges of lightning. Everyday there are thousands of lightning discharges of lightning, especially in the tropics.

CH4 is slightly soluble in cold water. One liter of ice-cold water can contain 35 mls of CH4. That is not very much, but the cold oceans are enormous. In the cold water the CH4 slowly diffuses to the ocean floor where under high pressure it forms a solid clathrate which is stable for long term storage.

We really do not have to worry about CH4.

bnice and Pierce answers don’t get to root of the question.
Linea’s response that cow digestion should convert grass to GHG faster, assuming cow digestion produced similar GHG to decomposition, supports anti-cow-fart-policy.

Technically (NOT practically) do cows make more GHG than whatever causes grass to rot?

I pointed out that with oxygen presence you get CO2, without you get CH4.

Rotting grass may leave some “carbon” in the ground, but cows leave a lot of carbon in their “pats” and convert a lot to proteins, carbohydrates etc, which would suggest that far less “carbon” is released from cow methane than from decaying grass.

Either way, as a final end product over a full life cycle…

… there can be no creation or destruction of “carbon”.

If the EPA or any other government organisations really are misusing public money like that, expect some sackings and lawsuits after Donald Trump takes office. Hasn’t he said explicitly that he would do that?

“sackings and lawsuits”

How about jail time?

If they are named and shamed properly they will be unemployable when the welfare runs out welcome to the poor house. This might be just as damaging to the ex bureaucrat, and cheaper for the govt ,and visible to the public to discourage others
Jail time would be good to punishment and discourage others

I wonder whether that kid signed a waiver to be published on film?

Repeating Lakely 42minute request:
What is GHG released by cow-eaten grass blade vs rotten-in-field grass blade?

Since the cow converts a lot of “carbon” to carbohydrates and proteins etc, there must be less “carbon-based gas” from the cow than from the decomposing grass.
