CERES TEAM
The CERES team were kindly invited to contribute not just one, but three presentations at the Doctors for Disaster Preparedness (DDP)’s 42nd annual conference. This year it was hosted in El Paso, TX and the theme was “Are We in a Hybrid War on Science and the West?“.
Each presentation covered a different aspect of CERES’s recent scientific research. In this post, we will provide links to the slides and videos of all three presentations (courtesy of the DDP). Videos for the other presentations at this conference (and many of the earlier conferences) can be found on the DDPmeetings YouTube channel.
1. Dr. Willie Soon: “Scientific Challenges of Detection and Attribution of Global Warming”
The first of our presentations was by Dr. Willie Soon in which he discussed our recent papers on the controversial topic of the “detection and attribution of global warming”, i.e., investigating the causes of global temperature changes since the mid-19th century:
The slides from his presentation can be downloaded here:

2. Dr. Michael Connolly: “Using Weather Balloon Data to Test Assumptions of Computer Climate Models”
The second of our presentations was by Dr. Michael Connolly in which he reviewed some of our research into atmospheric physics and chemistry using weather balloon radiosondes. He also gave an advance preview of some of our upcoming work on this exciting frontier of atmospheric science.
This presentation is quite technical because it is applying cutting-edge ideas to old concepts in the fields of physics and meteorology. However, the work he is describing is based on many years of empirical research into this topic and is based on the analysis of millions of weather balloon soundings from around the world:

3. Dr. Ronan Connolly: “How COVID Health Policies Neglected the Disease, the Patient, and the Physician”
Our third presentations was by Dr. Ronan Connolly in which he reviewed our published and upcoming research into the COVID-19 pandemic.
As he discusses in the presentation, some of the information presented disagrees with the World Health Organization (WHO)’s current positions on various proposed COVID-19 treatments. The WHO’s current positions can be found on their WHO.it website. However, all of the ideas he presented are based on the scientific information that is currently available as of July 2024:

Will Nicholas McGinty be reading #3?
Here’s one for Willie Soon and co

That just about covers it.
Here is one that should be included.
This 2024 study paper by Dr Roy Clarktakes apart the original 1967 paper that is the basis of all the modern CAGW hypothesies.

https://notrickszone.com/2024/07/12/seminal-1967-paper-introducing-co2-radiative-forcing-is-based-on-assumptive-imaginary-world-modeling/
That article is by Kenneth Richard
He is a hack writer with an extreme anti-AGW bias
He writes articles about studies that claim CO2 does little or nothing, while ignoring 99% of studies that disagree.
If there was a study claiming Brussel’s sprouts caused global warming, RICHARD WOULD PROBABLY CONSIDER WRITING AN ARTICLE ABOUT IT
The above comment is from an anti-science, AGW-zealot, and rabid hater of Kenneth’s work..
Kenneth is totally correct that CO2 does very little to weather or climate… so much so that the above gormless commenter cannot produce any empirical evidence of CO2 causing warming despite being asked to hundreds of times.
Nothing the above commenter says should be taken as having any relevance to real science..
… but certainly would be worthy of the “mouldy brussels sprout” award.
The above commenter does not understand science to more than a junior high level, if that.
A great paper from Dr Roy that destroys the whole AGW modelling charade.
Are regulators really so ignorant and incompetent or is welfare of people under intentional attack?
embrace the power of “AND”
Some regulators are incompetent some of the time, and all regulators are incompetent some of the time, but I cannot believe that all regulators are incompetent all of the time.
I like what Dr. Soon says. He talks fast and I think slow but it makes a lot of sense.
You can click on “settings” at the bottom of the YouTube screen and select a slower speed. That should give you a little more time to think about what he is saying fast.
He certainly has a presentation style all of his own ! 🙂
Love the accents of the Connelly father/son duo.
Rowan seems to be intentionally slowing his talking down in this video and to be more precise in his delivery. I’ve seen earlier ones that were very “difficult” to understand, even at a slower speed.
Dr. Connolly may do great science but he is an almost unintelligible speaker, not because of his Irish accent, but because he stutters, interrupts himself, lurches from one non-sequitur to the next, and more. It would be wonderful if he could hand off any presentation of his work to an associate who is articulate. I’m scientifically literate but can hardly follow Dr. Connolly’s train of thought, which is a wreck.
