Germany Electric Car Sales Plummet 30% As Country Floats Idea Of Weekend Driving Ban!

From the NoTricksZone

By P Gosselin

There’s been a drastic drop in the registration of new electric cars in Germany as sales of the “clean” electric cars have slumped nearly 30% compared to a year earlier, reports Germany’s online Blackout News here

Also: Germany’s transportation minister, Dr. Volker Wissing, threatens weekend driving ban (Fahrverbot) in order to meet climate targets!

The massive sales drop is bad news for the current German socialist-green government, which aims to have 15 million vehicles on the road by 2030. Currently there are just 1.4 million!

The dismal trend underscores the unpopularity of electric cars and consumers’ hesitancy when it comes to purchasing them. Electric vehicles are plagued by limited range, sparse charging infrastructure, steep upfront purchase price and their huge environmental impact, which involves the largescale mining of rare earths.

“Their market share has fallen to just 11.9%. This casts a harsh light on the mismatch between Germany’s political goals and the reality of the automotive market. It is clear that political incentives and measures are inadequate,” reports Blackout News. “The abolition of the electric bonus at the end of 2023 has revealed another problem. The sector’s dependence on state subsidies became apparent. This has further exacerbated the crisis of confidence in the electric car market.”

Fahrverbot: Germany floats national weekend driving ban!

Another possible reason for hesitancy when it comes to purchasing a new car of any type may be partly due to the government’s general hostility to private mobility.

Germany’s federal minister of transportation, Dr. Volker Wissing, is threatening to ban driving on weekends by motorists in order othe country “to meet climate goals set forth by  the Climate Protection Act.”

“A reduction in traffic to help meet the climate goals would only be possible through measures that are difficult to communicate to the public, such as ‘comprehensive and indefinite driving bans on Saturdays and Sundays,’ Wissing added,” so reports Politico here.

Germany’s transportation sector would need to reduce CO2 by 22 million tonnes to meet its climate goals.

So, what’s the point of buying a new car when drivers nay be forced to leave them in the garage every weekend? Germany’s economy and energy policy has turned into a circus run by clowns.

Let’s not forget that EVs more than a couple of years old have very low re-sale value…

… so those gullible virtue-seekers that bought early, are now finding they have to basically start from zero if they want a new car.

I’ve seen reports that many early EV buyers are going back to ICE.

First of all, they are centrist, which is to say, their job is to boil the frog slower. Second of all… «what is extraordinarily important is this—who will count the votes, and how», and it always was.
If there are any who would actually refuse to participate in the choir, they will not be allowed real power. Or continued existence, if they try to stop being a paper opposition.
Any Outer Party is only allowed to exist as a placeholder.
The same approach as with British decorative “monarchy”: it was kept because otherwise restoration of the real thing was always implicitly on the table, especially in the least sane moments (read Kipling’s “One View of the Question”, for how this looked from outside… it’s recognizable).

Wissing is saying that the Climate Protection Act still hasn’t been enacted into law after more than 9 months of slow walking, and if it doesn’t happen soon, he will be forced to propose car free weekends so that Germany can meet its climate goals. He proposes, but can’t impose anything fortunately. I hope their green dogmas become so unpopular that their coalition pays the toll on election day.

Brilliant Light Power, Inc. (BrLP) has developed a new, zero-pollution, primary energy source based on a proprietary hydrogen plasma reaction that releases 200 times the energy of burning hydrogen that can be obtained from water.

SunCell® having a capital cost of less than 1/10th that of solar was invented and engineered to harness this new source of power. Specifically, BrLP is operating a SunCell® at commercial scale (250 kW) producing power levels that, upon finalization of engineering and design, can power essentially all power applications with no fuels or grid connection, projected $20/kW cap cost, $0.001 kW/h generation cost with no transmission, distribution, or demand charges, no supply chain issues, and zero pollution including CO2.

And to think: all those career astronomers, cosmologists and theoretical physicists around the world that haven’t yet reasoned such to be the basis of dark matter since it was first postulated to exist in 1933 by Fritz Zwicky . . . just pitiful!

NOT ME, BUT:

Should Dr. Randell Mills be awarded Nobel Prize in Physics and Chemistry?

«Dr. Randell Mills should be awarded Nobel Prize in Physics and Chemistry for his series of scientific discoveries and technological innovations: The Hydrino® and the SunCell®and for his work in organic chemistry»
– Jorn-Erik Ommang, Engineer and Innovation Manager, ClimateSolutions.Tech

An enormous technological and scientific revolution is underway, although few are yet aware of it.  It began over 30 years ago with one simple question: what is an electron?  The answer to that question sparked a series of scientific discoveries and technological innovations that are set to profoundly reshape science and the global economy.
The mind behind those discoveries is the genius polymath Dr. Randell L. Mills, founder of the company Brilliant Light Power (BrLP).
Over the years, Dr. Randell Mills’ work would develop into what is now known as the Grand Unified Theory of Classical Physics (GUTCP). Now available in 4 volumes on Amazon and More!
The theory’s basic proposition is an eminently reasonable one: the physical laws of the universe are the same on all scales.  This theory overturns the reigning theory, of standard quantum mechanics, which posits that the laws of the universe operative at the scales familiar to our everyday lives are not applicable at the atomic scale.  Dr. Mills has supplied the world with a vast tract of compelling evidence that his theory is broadly correct and standard quantum mechanics (SQM) is not. Unfortunately, that evidence has gone largely ignored by the scientific community, due in large part to its wildly disruptive nature with respect to the physics status quo.
Dr. Mills has replaced the field generally known as Quantum Mechanics which postulates that classical physical laws do not apply at the atomic scale by deriving a new atomic theory of from those first principles, which unifies Maxwell’s Equations, Newton’s Laws, and General and Special Relativity. The central feature is that physical laws hold over all scales, from the scale of subatomic particles to that of the cosmos.
Dr. Mills’ atomic model is elegant in its simplicity. He contends that electrons bound to atoms are real, physical objects. Specifically, they are bubbles of negative charge that symmetrically surround the positively charged nucleus. Picture a soap bubble surrounding a pea and you’ll have a pretty accurate mental image for Dr. Mills’ model of the hydrogen atom, the simplest atomic system.
From two basic equations, Dr. Randell Mills has solved the key building blocks of organic chemistry, allowing the true physical structure and parameters of an infinite number of organic molecules up to infinite length and complexity to be obtained. These equations were also applied to bulk forms of matter, such as the allotropes of carbon, the solid bond of silicon and the semiconductor bond; as well as fundamental forms of matter such as the ionic bond and the metallic bond; and major fields of chemistry such as that of silicon, tin, aluminum, boron, and coordinate compounds.
Dr. Randell Mills’ theoretically predicted the state he dubbed Hydrino® and experimentally verified its existence through the technology that harnesses a reaction that catalyzes the transition of hydrogen to a lower-energy state. It releases roughly 200 times the energy of combusting hydrogen on a per atom basis.Dr. Randell Mills has given us the primary new renewable energy source Hydrino®, proven through validated experiments, and one of the most important Climate Technology, the patented SunCell®. With his work over several decades and without subsidies, Dr. Randell Mills has given us the tools to solve the Climate Crisis.
For these fantastic and very important achievements over more than 30 years, Dr. Randell Mills should be awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics and Chemistry.

Professor Jonathan Phillips :Hydrino Is The Identity Of Dark MatterDr. Mills has published extremely strong evidence that Hydrino, which is unable to absorb photons and emit light in the way that ordinary matter does (for reasons beyond the scope of this article), is ubiquitous in nature and the identity of the so-called dark matter of the universe.
Astronomical evidence indicates that 85% of the mass of the universe is dark matter, which is really just a fancy phrase for “we don’t know what this stuff is.” Hydrogen is estimated to comprise 75% of the 15% of known mass of the universe.
Stars have conditions that permit Hydrino formation and are composed primarily of hydrogen.
Given that hydrogen is the most abundant of the known elements and that stars are almost certainly Hydrino factories, the notion that dark matter is just another form of hydrogen is a fundamentally reasonable proposition.

A Climate Solution company in Asia has fabricated a heat-unite prototype for demonstration tests that runs on LENR. The energy density is more than 10,000 times higher than natural gas. The company is developing a pilot industrial boiler with a leading industrial boiler company, using the heat modules as the heat source to market boilers in a near future.

With this Climate Technology less than 10 grams of hydrogen are needed to power the monthly electricity and heat needs of a household. The heat module is expected to generate 2kW. Megawatt thermal output can be generated by connecting multiple modules.
With these heat modules, this New Renewable abundant, CO2-free, clean energy (LENR / Quantum Hydrogen Energy) can provide industrial-scale heat, up to 1,000°C and will soon be applicable for industrial and residential uses. Industrial heating units using LENR will be mass produced before 2030. Quantum Hydrogen Energy powered heat modules are applicable to power manufacturing factories, steel and chemical industries, agriculture, direct air capture, and water desalination.

The Cold Fusion discovery in 1989 was real, but verifications were suppressed and report were faked by MIT. This also delayed the development of climate solution technologies. Several inventors, scientists, promoters of clean New Renewable Energy Technologies have been threatened and killed. Some of those have been my friends and colleges. The global and significant patent portfolio protects the leading technology position and products. The SunCell® comprises a plasma cell that injects hydrogen and catalyst, and two electromagnetic pumps serve as electrodes by injecting intersecting molten tin streams from corresponding reservoirs wherein the connected streams carry a low voltage, high current to form a Hydrino®-reaction plasma in a reaction chamber. The SunCell® is an optical power source having a dynamic-transparency plasma window. Optical power or radiation transfers power at 10 to 100 times the power per area compared to conduction and convection of combustion and nuclear power plants. The optical power source is mated with a commercial dense receiver array (DRA) comprising an ensemble of concentrator photovoltaics cells (CPV) that operate at 1000 times the light intensity of solar-farm PV cells to produce electrical power for total electrification of essentially all power loads.

Even Wikipedia indicates this guy’s a fraud – and Wikipedia is a haven for lefty conspiracy junk. His patents were rejected decades ago as they have no basis in physics. I assume “Jorn-Erik” is a bot. This group has been successful defrauding governments for grant money from time to time. I suspect they’re spamming in order to boost SEO for another grant push.

Do politicians ever think before they speak? A weekend ban would cost the economy billions. You can even forget about all people who have to work during weekends but all leisure and economy activity. You hope they get a heartattack on saterday, call emercency and are told to wait till monday for an ambulance to come.

Here business cars has to be EV, that’s why the numbers of sales look good. In reality these lese cars only drive around 4 years and then what? Who wants to buy an used EV?

In The Netherlands I believe 29 town want to ban vans from 2025. But there’s no alternative for vans. Delivering fresh food requires cooling, ICE has 1200 kg capacity, EV 200 kg at a much higher cost. Finding handyman that need to be on the road a lot can be difficult. We already see handyman skipping LEZ because they can’t enter or suffer from high parking costs.
I’m telling you, this will go in history as the century of the great idiot. Thousands of years will they write about how to kill an economy.

+50% of the population has no access to private parking. People ho use public transortation know how much fun it is to wait 30-60 minutes. I don’t want to wait in the cold and rain to get an EV charged. At least now you have a smartphone to kill time, we didn’t had that when young. Only braindead smartphone users will cheer for EVs.

What would happen if there were a ban, is there would be a growing list of exemptions which would become so long that the ban would stand no chance of achieving its stated aim, and everybody would find a way around it.

No kidding. That would pretty much end the tourist economy. I guess when your mind is filled with tofu thinking things through becomes impossible.

Let’s not forget that EVs are more than a couple of years old and have very low re-sale value.

With 1.4million EVs on German roads, everyone can see what the experience of owning an EV is really like.
Marketing won’t work. People know.
So it’s no surprise that EV sales are falling.

I was just wondering if there are stats of how many people that have owned one have replaced it with another EV.

Excluding Tesla owners, who do tend to be a bit cultish, only about half of current EV owners would consider buying another EV.

I guess people in Germany have no chores, errands, responsibilities, social gatherings, entertainment or need to “experience the Great Outdoors” on weekends and can be perfectly satisfied by sequestering themselves in their apartment or home until they are needed again to work in the factories and offices to serve their parasitic overlords.

By 2022,[4] the cumulative effects of overpopulationglobal warming, and pollution have caused ecocide, leading to severe worldwide shortages of foodwater, and housing, bringing human civilization to the brink of collapse.[5] New York City has a population of 40 million, and only the elite can afford spacious apartments, clean water, and natural food in walled-off communities patrolled by armed guards. The homes of the elite are fortified, with moats, security systems, and bodyguards for their tenants. Usually, they include concubines (who are referred to as “furniture” and have no human rights, and are passed from one apartment owner to the next). The majority poor live in squalor, haul water from communal spigots, and eat highly processed food wafers made by a single large food processing firm, the Soylent Corporation. Their mainstay products, Soylent Red and Soylent Yellow are a staple food, and the latest product, a new, more nutritious and flavorful wafer derived from plankton, Soylent Green, is introduced to the populace

Kudos to Eric Worrall or whoever at WUWT generated the top graphic for the lead-in to this story . . . the tie-in to the fable about lemmings—you know, those that blindly follow the “leaders” over the cliff—was not lost on me.

Anyone here actually think that Joe or Kamala will buy an EV when they leave or are kicked out of office?

Welcome to the “15 minute/5 day” city. Or perhaps a 4 day city if TPTB decide Friday is officially part of the weekend. Tyranny creeps but never sleeps.

Nothing I say can illustrate the total ignorance of having the government in charge of something like energy. If your program isn’t working double down on your spending and mandates. What a bunch of knuckledraggers.

These numbers and restrictions are yet another reminder of the desperation governments are revealing to push their green agendas. It also reveals that consumers refuse to be coerced by climate crisis propaganda. They don’t see any emergencies and have no intentions of being forced to alter their lifestyles because they’re being told that one exists. And when they see how much more it will cost them to take “climate action”, their determination to resist what’s unnecessary grows stronger.

They won’t ban weekend driving, just impose ridiculous costs to do so.

EV’s have always primarily been virtue-signaling toys for people with more money than they know what to do with, and less sense than would be required to see what a bad bargain they are. I’m not going to claim that those people have grown any smarter since EV’s came out, but they’ve begun saturating the market, so absent more government thuggery, sales of EV’s are sure to continue falling.

This bright idea from the German Minister is likely to receive some hostile responses from Germany’s neighbours, don’t forget Germany has land borders with;
France, The Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland most of these countries,in common with Germany, have a ban on most HGVs on Sundays and Public Holidays but doubling down times for commercial traffic will hit other economies hard. Then banning leisure traffic for holidays or weekend breaks will seriously impact other countries never mind Germany’s internal tourist industry.

Work from Home on a Thursday to Monday basis have your ‘weekend’ on Tuesday and Wednesday may be an option for some but not all.

I’m surprised that none of the usual suspects have shown up to declare that this apparent drop in EV sales isn’t real and is just an artifact of EV haters not understanding the data.
