The US federal government MUST establish a maximum number of credit hours for 2 year, 4 year, master’s and doctorate degrees at 60, 120, 180, and 240 hours for the “school” to receive any federal grant or “college loan” monies.
US must set limits on funding degrees which have no employment potential, which, after cutting federal departments by 50% and other spending for NGOs, welfare, EPA etc. would end federal funding for envirowaco and social degrees since the fields are already overfull with graduates.
Finally, require applicants for the forest service or BLM and any other still similar extant departments to have actual degrees in forestry, mining, geology, animal husbandry, etc. that actually apply to managing the lands for the purpose of benefiting the US population.
THEN all the liberals in the employee of the “higher learning” institutions can fight over the 1/10th of the current jobs left.

It’s not clear whether the same privilege was extended to interned Germans and Italians, but there was a difference there: Japanese including American citizens were interned simply because of their descent and their location on the West Coast. There were no suspicions supported by evidence, but just racist allegations and a worry that you couldn’t know how they’d react if Japanese military landed and knocked on their door. (There was one case of a stranded pilot getting help from a Japanese-American family on an isolated island, and there was a not-entirely-irrational fear that the navy that had somehow managed to come undetected more than halfway across the Pacific to bomb Pearl Harbor _could_ come the rest of the way and make a landing on the west coast.)
Germans and Italians were not interned simply because of their descent. The interned were either citizens of enemy nations who could not be determined to be no danger, or those who were put them under specific suspicion by investigations. Children weren’t in the German and Italian camps unless their parents chose to bring them to the camp with the parents.
I expect that at least the Japanese and Germans would have formed schools for their children if the government failed to – they were quite orderly people and many of them were qualified to teach. Everything else could be improvised or supplied from the belongings they’d brought with them, if necessary.

To be honest, I have no idea what she believed or taught.
Anyway, none of this has a good smell.
I taught at UCLA starting in 1973. I taught pathology to dental students. This was during the affirmative action era and at that time even women were considered. I arrived July 1973 and immediately was tasked with reviewing course materials for 28 students who received a non pass. All were admitted through AA. My opinion was that a number should never have been admitted at all. And I was proven right as many of those struggled though out the ensuing years.
The admin and some of the faculty would not do what was necessary and dismiss those who basically failed much of the curriculum. Unfortunately, they were foisted on the public because of the cowardice of both the administrators and the faculty.
I believe things have only gotten worse since then.The politics of academics drove me nuts particularly with endless meetings whose subjects could have been dealt with in 10 minutes rather than the hours they sometimes took. complete waste of time. I left and went into a surgery residency. Much better!
In my first year as a teaching assistant there was a lovely part native from way out of town in my section. She failed, but the Prof said to give her a few marks to put her over the edge. She struggled on for 18 months before failing out comprehensively. It was cruel. Of course now she would have graduated as a “fully qualified” nurse.

This is one of the reasons why universities are losing so much of their credibility these days because few institutions like them get onto woke bandwagons faster. It’s another reason that degrees from these schools don’t carry much more weight than high school diplomas in the past. Requirements like these also serve as a reminder that maybe most of these schools serve as little more than repositories for kids that aren’t ready to join the labor force yet. So while they’re there why not force-feed them a little leftist propaganda, particularly when leftist institutions like environmental groups make contributions to these schools.
Millionaires and billionaires who hope to make lots more money on the “climate crisis” also make big grants to the universities.
