We missed this story twelve days ago but this is still something worth noting and celebrating.
We can celebrate a remarkable milestone for a beacon of reason in the climate debate: Watts Up With That (WUWT) has surpassed an astounding 500 million pageviews!
For more than a decade and a half WUWT has been a stalwart in challenging the mainstream narrative on climate change, providing a platform for rigorous scientific discussion, and highlighting the inconsistencies and failures often glossed over by climate alarmists. This achievement is not just a testament to the quality of content and the dedication of its contributors but also to the discerning readers who seek truth over sensationalism.
In a world where alarmist headlines often overshadow rational discourse, WUWT has consistently provided a space for critical thinking and open debate.
This milestone is not merely a number; it’s a reflection of the trust and credibility WUWT has built over the years. It’s a reminder that there’s a vast audience out there hungry for balanced, well-researched, and honest perspectives on climate science.
As we celebrate this achievement, let’s also take a moment to reflect on the importance of free speech and open dialogue in science. The road to understanding is paved with questions, skepticism, and rigorous debate. WUWT has been a champion of this approach, and the 500 million pageviews are a testament to its success in fostering informed discussions.
Science thrives in openness. In a domain as complex and multifaceted as climate science, platforms like WUWT are essential to ensure that discussion is allowed.”
In conclusion, congratulations to Watts Up With That for this monumental achievement. Here’s to many more milestones, many more debates, and a continued commitment to truth and transparency in the realm of climate science.
Note: The counter in our sidebar says “hits” not pageviews which in the earlier Internet days meant every request to the server, including every image download, etc. This is not the case with this current version. Over the years we get a range of 1.5 million to 4 million pageviews a month which is absolutely congruent with the counter noting pageviews.

Yay! Hooray for Anthony and WUWT!! 🔥🔥
This is fantastic news! Congratulations to Anthony and the WUWT team for providing a superb forum for serious discussions and presentations on the state of the climate.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! So glad WUWT exists 👍💪🌟
Yes, a Proud Tradition of Existence. Cognescenti, which movie?
I would not have expected any classier comment from you boob. You lived down to our expectations.
And the line is “Delta House has a long tradition of existence to its members.”
Is that you Klaus?
501,079,401 … 501,079,402
Thanks bob
All we realists are – it’s the minority climate grifters & shills that have nothing but deceit and faux science to cling to in their ever shrinking echo chamber
Comgratulations.
I hate not having edit.
I know how you feen.
How about sharing with us what’s going on?
It was broken, so we turned off the feature. At some point we will try and figure out the problem and bring it back.
I understand Paul Homewoods NALOPKT site is affected too – probably some lefty hacker attacking the truth, they hate the truth
The problem is no doubt related to a trace gas in the atmosphere.
Deep my to it
Has it been determined why it’s gone?
What is a pageview?
page view
noun
noun: pageview
an instance of an internet user visiting a particular page on a website
A page on a website is an article like this one that we are currently commenting on?
Yes, it would be that.
A page with its own URL at the top of the screen.
URL on a page means what exactly?
Thank you cagwsceptic and KevinM.
When I read that I thought it meant something like a visit to a webpage. But when I read your question I realised that this is technical jargon that I’m unfamiliar with and my guess may well have been wrong.
Good question to ask and thanks for the clarification.
Congratulations to AW and CR, who made it happen.
Thanks to all the guest posters whose content quality helped make it happen.
Now, let’s spread the WUWT word.
Well done! 🥇
I’m proud to have contributed since 2015 with my articles.
Superb achievement for a superb website that I visit every day, knowing I’ll find something of interest.
I came across WUWT in 2007, the year following its founding, so it’s been a constant part of my intellectual diet for the duration. I owe a lot to the many for the education I got here and to the creator, Anthony Watts, moderators, like Charles and contributors. Great stuff!)
I noted this in a comment to the #570 Climate Weekly…Roundup, but I guess I failed to flag it as a story tip. I did donate, though, and suggest that anyone who can afford to do the same by way of celebration and congratulations.

Something like this may have happened.
Awesome. We’re halfway there.
Congratulations!
Keep up the good work!
Keeping it open, honest and fair is why it’s the successful site it’s been.
and still “apparently widely distributed”. Thanks, WUWT.
Even Mann reads it to keep up

Well done Anthony and WUWT!!!!
Take a bow Anthony and the team of contributors who keep WUWT as a beacon of rectitude, enquiry and scientific rigour in the global warming debate. This is a well-deserved pat on the back for standing up for objective, fact-based discussions – and in some cases for facing up to threat of being ‘cancelled’ by weak-minded colleagues who lack the moral fibre to do the right thing. That sound you can hear is a huge round of applause coming from the U.K.
There’s a debate?
There is still a debate, despite strong efforts to supress and stifle – thanks to sites like these that keep the flame burning.
Battling the climatistas and sustainists in regressive higher education for 22 years, I’ve read and greatly benefitted from WUWT almost daily for well over a decade. This is THE authoritative place for science news and analysis regarding climate.
Activist science, media, NGOs, societies, “philanthropies,” and government are always welcome but are afraid to engage or debate here.
And that is the reality – the genuinely indoctrinated alarmists are a very tiny minority with loud, shouty voices, destroying careers with their deceit and science corrupting practices – it’s time the silent majority took control
YAY!! Congratulations to Anthony, to CTM, to all of the contributors past and present, to the moderators, and to all of the denizens who make their voices heard in the comment threads.
Regards,
Bob
And what the WUWT team can be particularly proud of is offering open debate for all viewpoints in the comments sections.
We all notice that in many msm sites and blogs, comments sections are either not opened at all, and / or any submitted comments that aren’t robustly supportive of “the narrative” are unceremoniously blocked.
Stay true to your commitment to open, free speech guys.
It’s becoming a scarcer commodity by the week.
Congratulations! I check in several times a day, for two reasons: WUWT is a great place to follow scientists talking about real science, and for immense respect for Anthony Watts and his efforts.
Congratulations to all who contribute. Keep it up.
Congrats Anthony, Mods, Contributors, Commenters, and Readers. Together… we make the internet look good! And actually worthwhile!
Congratulations Anthony!!! Kudos to you, the moderators and all the contributors that have provided and will continue to provide the type of input necessary to fully realize the scientific method. Like your Surface Station Project, WUWT has been a true community effort, but your effort and leadership has made it all possible.
Thank you for all you have done!!!
I am glad that it was not made obscene -WTHFIUWT.
Bravo to your ability to staying on the air and keeping focused on the topics you and your team have presented over the years, I remember your first days when I was daily looking for climate-based articles on the internet back in 2007 to post in a young forum I was helping run when your blog showed up one day with an article for me to post.
Good for WUWT!! This platform is a gem, thanks to AW and CR and all the contributors, commenters, and others behind the scenes.
Congratulations – WUWT makes having internet access worthwhile. I’m sure I’m responsible for a few thousand of those views. The large following of mostly intelligent critical thinkers gives me hope that we may see an end to the madness before I expire. Keep up the great work.
