Climate Activists are Targeting Billionaire Toys

Essay by Eric Worrall

I wonder if rich kid climate activists will continue feeling the enthusiasm, when their family private jet or super yacht gets targeted?

Spanish activists vandalise superyacht in Ibiza believed to belong to billionaire Walmart heiress

By CNN 4:05am Jul 18, 2023

Spanish environmental activists have spray-painted a superyacht moored in Ibiza.

Activists from the environmental group Futuro Vegetal posted a video showing them standing in front of the superyacht named Kaos, holding a banner that says: “You Consume Others Suffer.” The activists then sprayed the vessel with red and black paint.

“The richest 1 per cent of the world population pollutes more than the poorest 50 per cent,” the activists said in the video.

It follows a similar act on Friday, when the group spray-painted a private jet at the Ibiza airport, leading to the runway to be shut down for several hours, Futuro Vegetal said.

Rich kids climate activists whose families own these toys apparently pressure their parents to buy carbon offsets, so they would no doubt be shocked and dismayed if their family transport was targeted.

There is a bigger issue. I can’t help thinking Futuro Vegetal is biting the hand which feeds it. I mean where would COP conferences be without private jets?

Sharm el sheik (COP27) is surrounded by dangerous places no sane person would sail through in a luxury private yacht. Even the Persian Gulf and the UAE, the site of the upcoming COP28, have piracy problems. Iranian forces sometimes board passing ships for allegedly arbitrary reasons, a problem which may grow worse as Iran experiences continued deterioration of their economy.

And of course, who would want to turn up to an event like the annual WEF Davos conference in public transport?

I guess time will tell whether private jet owning climate dilettantes who allegedly provide much of the funding for these groups threaten to pull that funding if their personal toys are messed up.

I can only presume those European countries have something equivalent to RICO laws, so whomever is funding the vandals is also criminally liable. The will to actually employ those laws is another matter entirely.
I can name a few US foundations and individuals who would deserve being bankrupted defending themselves.

It’s only a matter of time before they accidentally target the toys of their benefactors… And lose their funding.

Hmmm. There are a lot of ultra wealthy individuals who fund these ecoterrorist groups.

Targeting bridges or roads or subways inconveniences mostly ordinary people. I don’t applaud this tactics, but if you just have to inconvenience somebody, go after the elites.

The property owners won’t do anything. It’s a no win for them no matter which side they take. They don’t care, they can afford it.

Sooner or later they will come across a property owner that holds a grudge.

In which case they will find that repainting that business jet will cost them around a hundred grand. Assuming they didn’t get any paint in the engines or instrument probes, that is.

They better not cross Hunter Biden. He says if you cross him, he holds a grudge for the rest of his life. And the Big Guy is sitting right beside him.

Maybe not?

Disney Heiress Arrested Protesting Private Jets…

This one will mess her own nest as performance art. Not sure that any other hypocrite truly committed to climate terrorism and vandalism would act any differently.

After all, they only have to hire a crew of illegals (or the local equivalent), pay them a pittance, equip them with petroleum based cleaners, strippers, and paint, and take the newer plane (boat, car) to the other villa. Unless they’re self-insured, it won’t even inconvenience them slightly.

If any such mogul was truly upset, the “protestors” wouldn’t be seen again.

Just clear the cockpit wind shield, hop in and power down the taxi way. I guarantee that, once the plane starts to enter the end of the runway, the protester will come unglued. If not then, shortly after take off.

Owning and traveling by private jet rather than commercial airline isn’t all that much different than traveling by car rather than Greyhound. On the other hand, spending a fortune on a yacht is rubbing the hoi polloi’s noses in their inferiority, mostly because nobody needs a giant luxury ship to vacation or even spend a few hours on the water. Lina Wertmuller’s “Swept Away” is an interesting take on it. The phenomenon is just the sort of justification that Marxists need to make their point. The super rich need to show a little better judgement.

Ah, but it is hard to get the proper luxurious accommodations out into international waters – where pesky laws about underage sexual partners, drug usage, etc. don’t apply.

Why hold anyone limit what they legally do or buy based on the feelings of others?

The feelings of others is the basis for all social norms and most laws and regulations. In the case of the ostentations of Marie Antoinette, the Romanovs and Porfirio Diaz, their time on earth would have been longer if they’d been a little more circumspect in their needless displays of wealth in front of their subjects. Legal or not, bad things can happen to those flaunting their riches, even today.

Sorry boys & girls, the ‘vegetable future‘ is already here, in the shape of Brandon, BoJo, Kerry etc

Oh wait, it seems that ‘Uno Problemo’ est croppied uppio oh oh oh

BBC headline:Lean times hit the vertical farming business’
(See how I stay On Topic so well – loving the ‘vertical’ aspect involving private jets and how they go Up & Down. In the sky.)

Probably coz they (the cabbages, I ain’t never tasted ‘jet’) were hideously expensive, tasted like chemical shit and nobody ate them – what say you Shirley? (U OK hun, ubin quiet recently?)

Anyway, what’s more obvious than a really obvious thing to anybody (apart from A Lettuce but even then) is this is the petty jealousy politics, deeds & actions of the school playground.

These kiddies see Private Jets and they want want want. And in their tiny little minds, dazzled by video games, slick advertising and Vitamin B deficiency they think they are actually entitled to these things. They think a promise has been made.

But even their stunted little cabbage-brains realise that they don’t have a fraction of what it takes to ever get near the showroom – let alone go in there and buy one.

So, the primitive thinking says:If I can’t ‘have’ – no-one else can

So they justify sheer/pure violence against other people’s property with the ‘violence against science‘ that is = Climate Change Science and that smashing-up other people’s stuff is ‘good for everybody else

And The Media takes pictures & applauds them while ‘real’ politicians & police have even less backbone, gumph and ‘go’ about them than the wimpy limpy soggy pathetic tasteless mush of the failed vertical lettuces. You are what you eat.

this can not end well

I realised why the lettuces failed. Muppetry beyond belief – they don’t even know ‘how to google

They’re using the wrong colour of lights (LEDs)

If me you or anyone wants to best use LEDs to grow vegetables, we’d use LED lighting that has a distinctly purple hue/colour about it.

The LED lights would come in arrays/tubes comprising individual LEDs using 3 different colours of LED – where the (approximate) mix would be:

  • One white LED
  • Three blue LEDs
  • Four or five red LEDs

Such arrays produce a very distinct and pleasing colour/shade of Purple meets Fuscia meets Pink and are what works best for plants.
apparently.

Hmmm….p1ssing off a rich person who got that way by hard work and perseverance is a really dumb thing for these paint-throwers to do….

They better be darn careful who exactly they target.

Some of the super-rich got that way by “other” means…

… which may not be particularly “life-friendly”.

Perhaps it will be the end of COPs as get-together for the owners of private jets.

July 18, 2023 4:21 am

Breaching airport grounds should be considered terroristic and have automatic prison sentences of decades, however:

They should rethink their strategy. Someone who can afford a private jet, can afford to hire some mercenaries to “deal with” the perpetrators at worst or at best devastate the idiots taking selfies of their handiwork in lawsuits for damages. Fighting endless legal battles from deep pockets could be a grim fate indeed.

Making that plane airworthy again could cost upwards of $1M if sensors or systems are damaged (pitot, static, angle of attack sensors, aileron, rudder, elevator, flaps and spoiler actuators, landing gear mechanisms and sensors, and the window replacements and paint cannot be scrubbed or washed off, it must be chemically stripped down to the aluminum and repainted, etc). An order of magnitude higher if damage to engines occurred. This not like egging a house at Halloween…. that jet owner would most likely want their pound of flesh!

July 18, 2023 4:22 am

Well, maybe they will make the mistake of vandalizing a yacht owned by some Russian oligarch with a security detail that may help cull the herd. These activists are evil idiots who deserve extermination.

Since “elites” are funding these useful idiots and the same “elites” tend to move in the same social circles, I can imagine a scenario where there is a fallout among said people should anything beyond cosmetic damage happen. Perhaps it is time that “elites” who inherited their wealth and fund these idiots stunts, actually pay a severe financial penalty for their luxury beliefs instead of imposing costs on us plebeians.
