Essay by Eric Worrall
Here I argue US funding for Ukraine is liberating resources British and European governments are using to undermine Republicans, and drive their radical green agenda right into the heart of the American political landscape.
The following recent article by George Soros outlines his hope US intervention will lead to a speedy resolution of the Ukraine war, and the collapse of the Russian Empire, allowing resources currently tied up by the war to be diverted to climate action.
Russian defeat is inevitable, and will allow world to focus on our real problem ā Climate change
The countries of the former Soviet empire eagerly await defeat of the Russian army in Ukraine, and the world will be able to focus on climate change, writes George Soros
THU, 23 MAR, 2023 – 01:28
GEORGE SOROSIt is just over one month ago that I gave a speech on the eve of the Munich Security Conference. Since then, so many remarkable things have happened ā and have happened so fast ā that it is worth comparing my predictions of a month ago with actual developments.
The biggest changes have occurred in the global climate system. By this, I mean actual climate events and climate scientistsā understanding of those events. The main message I wanted to convey in Munich was that the global climate system is greatly dependent on what happens within the Arctic Circle.
…
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
The other domain where important changes have taken place is Russiaās war against Ukraine. Until October, Ukraine was winning on the battlefield. Then, Russia, with the help of Iran, introduced drones on a large scale. Their aim was to undermine Ukrainiansā morale by depriving the civilian population of electricity, heat, and water. This put Ukraine on the defensive.
…
The countries of the former Soviet empire, eager to assert their independence, can hardly wait for the Russian army to be crushed in Ukraine. At that point, Putinās dream of a renewed Russian empire will disintegrate and cease to pose a threat to Europe.
The defeat of Russian imperialism will have far-reaching consequences for the rest of the world. It will bring huge relief to open societies and create tremendous problems for closed ones. Most importantly, it will allow the world to concentrate on its biggest problem, climate change.

What do people like Soros actually intend to do with all these resources they plan to liberate from the forced collapse of the Russian empire?
In 2017, we caught what I believe was a glimpse behind the curtain. Britain’s then climate minister boasted about her plan to use British Government resources to bypass the US federal government, to undermine support for President Trump’s energy policies.
UK bypasses Donald Trump to discuss climate change with US city mayors directly
Claire Perry, the Climate Change Minister, says British Government is now speaking to ‘other players’ in US about how to fight global warming
Ian Johnston
Environment Correspondent
Tuesday 25 July 2017 14:21The UK has started bypassing Donald Trump over climate change, talking directly to city mayors and other officials committed to trying to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the new Climate Change Minister has revealed.
Claire Perry, who was appointed to the post after the general election last month, said that British ministers had not āmissed an opportunityā to tell the US President that they were disappointed he had decided to withdraw from the Paris Agreement on climate change, the news service Bloomberg reported.
She said she had been speaking to āother playersā in the US, including the mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner, who visited the UK last week.

Former UK climate minister Claire Perry may have let the cat out of the bag with her public boast of “bypassing” the Trump Administration, but I doubt she acted alone.
How would eliminating US funding for Ukraine help to rectify this outrageous situation?
I believe eliminating US funding for Ukraine would starve green activists in Europe of their indirect access to US taxpayer resources, resources I believe they are currently using to undermine US politicians who oppose climate action.
Soros himself pointed the way to this resolution, with his complaint that the Ukraine war is diverting resources away from climate action.
This is not about choosing sides in the Ukraine conflict, this is about preventing the misuse of US taxpayer funds.
Cutting off US funding for Ukraine would force Europe to fully pull their weight on defence spending, triggering an even greater diversion of resources away from European funded international climate activism, and would stop European actors from indirectly using US taxpayer funds to undermine and “bypass” US politicians who oppose their green agenda.

Shielding the EU from their own folly?
And helping them promote and spread their folly.
Kind of like how Democrat jurisdictions are paying out serious money to violent Antifa rioters.
Taking money from U.S. taxpayers to fund the global Marxists certainly appears to be quite a racket!
Ukraine, one of the largest countries that Launder money. Not only do they launder or give money to the EU. US politicians also receive money from the Ukraine directly or indirectly.[1]

First off, the US has no business finding Ukraine. Will not get into politics here. If the supposed green agenda is so great, let it stand on it’s own. The EU needs to stand on their own two feet or drop it.
There is much logically not to like here.
IF Ukraine defeats Russia invasion of Ukraine, that does not mean Russia collapses. At most, maybe Putin is ousted.
Russian Army exposed as hollowed out means US defense spending can be directed more toward Chinaāmore US naval, less NATO.
EU Green spending already is at expense of their underfunding NATO, so no big change.
Tying anything Green even indirectly to Ukraine/Russia is IMO a stretch. Sure someone has that published opinion. So what?
Most of what I read is at least partly wrong. Some very recent choice examples:
I think Soros is hoping for a repeat of the post Afghanistan Soviet collapse, he believes discrediting the Russian Army will encourage nationalists in Russian Republics to tear the federation apart, just as the defeat in Afghanistan discredited the Red Army, and encouraged European Soviet satellite states to bid for freedom.
Red Army discrediting themselfs from 1917 basicaly. Most men in USSR served in this army anyway. Dont touch thinks whic you dont know.
I’m not criticising the courage of Russian soldiers, Russia lost 20 million in WW2 and still kept attacking Hitler. I’m merely putting my words on what I think Soros is hoping for.
Russia, in WWII, would have done much better if Stalin hadn’t wiped out much of his army’s leadership just before Hitler invaded- thinking he could trust Hitler.
I think the WEFascism leader Soros is going the be very disappointed if he thinks Ukraine are going to defeat Russia’s liberation of the Russian people in Donbas and Luhansk. Now Aktymorov has been taken, encircling 10,000 Ukraine troops, once the ground dries up they are free to move westward to complete the job. Then they will prepare a defensive line.
“IF Ukraine defeats Russia invasion of Ukraine, that does not mean Russia collapses. At most, maybe Putin is ousted.”
I think so, too. Ukraine is not looking to invade Russia, they just want to push Russian troops back to the border.
Putin will be safe within Russia, except from the people who want a new leader after his disastrous failure in Ukraine.
I think when Russia is kicked out of Ukraine, Putin will be overthrown. The damage to Russia is immense. The oligarchs lost a lot- they’ll get rid of him.
Yes, there is a lot of grumbling going on in Russia.
A lot of Russian mothers are not happy with Putin.
Russia won’t collapse but it will see turmoil across its empire- especially in those rural, poor areas where the troops came from- and the far east where China wants back “outer Manchuria”. And yes, the US defense budget will directed to the US Navy- just in time, too.
Hasn’t this been the story with the US and Europe since NATO’s inception? It made some sense in the decades following WW2 as western Europe rebuilt. But for at least 50 years now, NATO has been more than capable of funding its own defense. This applies to the EU now as well.
Money is fungible. (Just ask a money launderer.) American taxpayer are underwriting big government programs in nations that can pay their own way. The Europeans should be the primary funders for the Ukrainian war. They have the most to lose.
Ain’t it funny how “these colors don’t run the world” used to be a slogan of the left? Remember “we’re not the world’s policeman?” Or how about “The 1980’s called and they want their foreign policy back?”
I’m not sure if we’re so involved with Ukraine because
1) The Biden Crime Family involvement with Ukraine?
– or –
2) Trump wanted to reconcile with Putin?
– or –
3) To distract Americans from Biden’s blunders and domestic policies?
4) You missed; All of the Above
All that and more…..
Another alternative is that it is both the right and sensible thing to do.
Right, because it is supporting a nation that is fighting its own war of independence against a very nasty and immoral invader.
Sensible because the greatest threats to world peace are all closely linked with Russia in terms of military technology and doctrine. There is little more likely to give potential aggressors pause than the realisation that their military capability is not as great as they thought.
You may be completely right about Biden Inc and the politics of distraction, but that does not excuse us from doing our own assessments on the issue.
The right thing to do for who? For Ukraine? For Europe? For the United States? Would you send your children or grandchildren to fight and die in Ukraine? I would not.
The greatest threat to world peace is China. Russia is the B team. Unfortunately, we have helped push Russia into China’s camp. We now face an aligned Russia, Iran and China.
The US should broker a peace.
The only peace possible is Russia getting out of Ukraine- they say they won’t so they’ll have to be kicked out.
“We now face an aligned Russia, Iran and China.”
Not really much to worry about- what with all of Europe, Australia, Japan on our side. India plays neutral but it’s a democracy and hopes that China will stop growing in power.
Finally some common sense. Better support Ukraine now with them fighting than later sacrificing our own when Putin follows swallowing Ukraine with invading Poland.
The UK got involved because the then Prime Minister, the lying ignorant oaf Johnson, needed to distract the media and public from all his failings. As the dictator Zelensky’s new found best mate, he played a big part in encouraging him to goad Russia into a war. At least his antics have shown up how ill-equiped the UK army is to fight any war given that our tanks are obsolescent, our self-propelled guns out-ranged and obsolescent, and we no longer have the capability to manufacture shells in UK for either tanks or artillery.
There is nothing happening within the Arctic Circle that has not happened before in Soros’s (b. 1930) lifetime.
I will add a different thought, analogy to Germany 1939.
Hitler invaded Poland because of his eastern āSudetenland Lebensraumā dream.
Putin invaded Ukraine because of his āused to be part of MotherRussiaā dream.
Both were just fevered mind fantasies that did not end well.
I think it was likely mostly a resource grab, Russia controlling Ukraine would put the Kremlin in charge of much of the world’s food supply, magnifying their influence in countries dependent on Ukrainian grain like some nations in Africa and the Middle East. This would be valuable to China’s attempts to extend their influence in these regions.
But Putin also had legitimate concerns about NATO encirclement.
The NATO Encirclement claim is not even close to legitimate.
Current NATO borders with the Russian Federation are less than 20% of Russiaās total bordersā¦.
That will obviously increase when a formerly neutral Finland joins NATO now that its people have been thoroughly convinced that Russia is neither a peaceful nor trustworthy neighbour – but to claim that Russia was or could be āencircledā is obviously fallacious.
Current TREATENING NATO borders stretch from north Finland to Turkey
The other borders are peaceful and no threat to Russia
Putin had no legitimate concrns about encirclement as it happened. His problem was thinkiing that NATO wants more territory, like he does.
The Wets problem is thinking that he will stop with Ukraine.
NATO doesn’t want anything- nations almost beg to join.
“But Putin also had legitimate concerns about NATO encirclement.”
Putin’s aggression has added to NATO’s ranks.
“NATO encirclement”
Who here thinks NATO is planning on attacking Russia?
There are various ways to attack.
Violent attack occurs when all other attacks are not enough
it’s much easier to just invest in Russia, as so many enterprises had done- now moved out- and that investment was good for Russia, like all the investments in China have enriched that nation – something we’re all gonna regret
Yes, the West has been financing out enemies.
Eric,
Here are 4 major western provocations to pressure/provoke Russia
1) NATO expansion beyond East Germany to finally ābark at Russiaās gatesā, after Secretary James Baker promised Gorbachev ānot one inchā beyond East Germany in 1990. Naive Gorbachev was gullible/stupid to believe him.
2) The US-instigated/financed, illegal, violent, coup dāEtat that disposed an elected leader, and killed/ādisappearedā several hundred people over several months
3) NATO financing/arming/training/advising Ukraineās armed forces as a proxy to threaten Russia
4) The reinforced Ukraine army launching a genocide of the Donbas ethnic Russians, who had been there for at least 350 years, and killing 14,000 CIVILIANS over 8 years, from Feb 2014 to Feb 2022, with more such killing since then, as documented by OSCE weekly reports filed with the UN
The Russian economy is managed much better than the Soviet economy;
unemployment has steadily decreased from 11% plus in 1999 to 3.6% in 2023, per STATISTICA AND IMF
Russia has had a year to get its arms, and especially its drones production, on war footing, 24/7/365, while NATO countries easily took old military gear out of storage, and did almost nothing to increase arms production.
How can any army go on offense, without sufficient fuel, food, and especially ammo for all these different pieces of donated armaments? Who repairs all these items?
If Russia had stopped at their 2014 occupation, and stopped at bombing a few bases in 2021 instead of a full scale invasion, I would have had a lot more sympathy for the claim the Russian incursion was to protect ethnic Russians being persecuted by Azov.
I’m not disputing there’s a lot of bad on both sides, but this is a land grab.
Eric.
Russia, with about 40% of the US population, has more than enough land and resources, which now are going to fast-growing China and India with 2.7 billion people.
Presidents Merkel, Hollande, Poroshenko admitted they stonewalled Putin regarding the Minsk Agreements to give Ukraine time to build up its armed forces from 2014 to 2022.
Russia was slow to react to protect the ethnic Russianās from the Ukraine armyās genocide in the Donbas area starting in 2014.
Only 40% of the Donbas ended up not occupied by the Ukraine army.
Many of the ethnic Russians who lived in the other 60% have fled to Russia.
All such refugees amounted to over 5.5 million to Russia since a2014.
Crimea has been part of Russia since 1783.
In 2014, the Crimean people, of which 65% are ethnic Russians, 25% ethnic Ukrainians and 10% Tartars, voted by more than 90% to be annexed by Russia.
Crimea has three official languages.
Ukraine has only one. Russian is practically outlawed, even though at least 40% of Ukrainians speak Russian, and the Polish, Hungarian and Czech languages are constricted/suppressed
NATO wouldn’t even try to encircle it if it wasn’t a dangerous regime with thousands of nuclear weapons- with Putin having said the worst thing that happened in the 20th century was the collapse of the Soviet Union- and that Ukraine isn’t a real country- so you know he’ll also want back Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for their coastlines, not to mention parts of other nations. Russia still wants to be “the 3rd Rome”- ever since it eyed Istanbul for which it fought the Ottomans for centuries. It wants to be a great power. It’s Russia’s privilege to want whatever it wants- but we don’t have to let it get what it wants either. It was doing pretty good before this war- with a lot of western money invested in Russia’s fossil fuel development, in many other industries, with countless western busnesses with stores in its shopping centers, now mostly gone. The West was not threatening it. Putin should have focused on the long term threat from China- the one nation playing the long game better than anyone. We could all learn from China- try reading Kissinger’s “On China”. It’s only about 1,000 pages. š China wants back “outer Manchuria”. It recently issued a map showing that territory with the old Chinese names for the geography and communities. Putin should take a look at it. I attached it to a message here recently.
Russia already has what it needs to become a great power, the problem is the structure of Russian society. The backbone of being a great power is economic development, and that simply isn’t happening the way it should in Russia.
In prosperous countries, when a commercial competitor lowers prices or improves their product, you have to step up R&D or cut your own margins to avoid losing market share. In countries like Russia, you pick up the phone and call your friend in the mafia. This is what is stopping economic development in Russia.
Go see the movie āAviatorā to see how the real world operates in the US and elsewhere
A little Free Enterprise would do wonders in Russia.
Of course, Oligarchs and the Russian Mafia and Putin don’t like Free Enterprise because it interferes with them making as much money as possible. Plus, it puts that “Freedom Bug” in people’s heads. Can’t have that.
And both were excuses. Hitler just wanted to extend the Reich, and have access to resources, just like Putin.
Europe wants easy, low-cost access to RUSSIAN resources, so it can be more competitive in world markets, i.e., treating Russia as another resource supplier, gas station, like African and South American countries; the neo-colonialism paradigm
Europe has not enough money to build up its military, its green society dreams, pay high energy prices, have high interest rates and high inflation, maintain its world competitiveness, and have a high standard of living.
France is in a state of civil war for increasing retirement age from 62 to 64, which is less than all other EU countries
It is because of Macron flouting the 5th Republic Constitution.
Credit Suisse bailout and dump made Bern flout the Basic Law.
Regular Sunday secret FED confabs will flout the US Constitution – will they simply grab Social Security to bail out $33 trillion debt?
Getting a little mixed up there, Rud.
Hitler’s invasion of Poland went quite well, Poland capitulated in a short time. In fact, Russia and Germany entered into a “Non-aggression Pact” under which they divided Poland between them.
Hitler’s “lebensraum” (living space) dream was actually more about the later invasion of the Soviet Union, where ironically enough what Hitler coveted was…Ukraine and its vast agricultural space.
That one is the one that didn’t end so well.
Largely, because Hitlerās army ran out of fuel. Ukraine stretches from New York to Chicago.
The same happened to tank commander Rommel in the Sahara Desert
Napoleon failed, because he ran out of horses, which the Cossacks attacked at night. He arrived in Moscow in October and left in November through the same devastated area he came. He started with 500,000 from France, returned with 20,000
German generals thought Hitler was nuts to reach that far out.
Hitlerās aim was first Rumania for oil and natural gas, then Ukraine, for coal, gas and agriculture. Ukraine was part of the USSR.
“He started with 500,000 from France, returned with 20,000”
Yes, even smart, successful guys can miscalculate some times.
‘…George Soros outlines his hope US intervention will lead to a speedy resolution of the Ukraine war, and the collapse of the Russian Empire, allowing resources currently tied up by the war to be diverted to climate action.’
That’s all folks!
PS – Nice photo of a puppet with a puppet.
George Soros is 92 in the shade.
His son is following in his leftwing footsteps.
You are wrong. the US is not funding Ukraine’s defense. The US is providing arms and ammunition some out of inventory, and some newly manufactured. The US also provides intelligence and training.
All of this is money that is spent on Americans and the manufacturing is in America.
We are not sending money to Ukraine.
Europeans are also contributing. some more, some less. But they are not freeriding.
I respectfully disagree Walter. Europe is still spending on climate activism, just not as much as before the war. They have spare cash to fritter on such nonsense because they are freeloading on the USA’s generosity. And if Claire Perry’s comments are any guide, the money released by that freeloading is damaging the US political landscape.
I think the media blitzkrieg and school indoctrination is a far bigger factor. The plus is that energy bills are wising people up.
Walter is correct.
There are plenty of reasons pro and con for US support of Ukraine against Russian aggression. My view is that what George Soros thinks or says is at the bottom of the list. The same for global warming. European political leaders, administrators and bureaucrats are going to work to pull the US into their sphere concerning global warming no matter what. The smartest thing we can do in that regard is elect a proper president. George Soros will work against our Constitutional Republic no matter what. I support Ukraine, I donāt know about Zelensky. Whether he is a worthless POS or not the Ukrainian people donāt deserve to be manhandled by the likes of Putin. Giving Zelensky money would be my least favorite form of support, the money rarely gets used for the purpose it was given. We can help the Ukrainians and whip global warming knuckle draggers.
I like the strategy of bypassing the executive branch and going to the municipal level. Why? Because, with top-down decision making, the further the decider from the work face, the more irrational their decisions can be and the more harm they can do while deluding themselves they are virtuously saving us all. Mayors and civic politicians/administrators can certainly be guilty of the same idiotic and unjustified decisions, however their citizens are much more likely to make them pay the price for getting it wrong sooner, and hand them their pink slips.
In other words civic governments are much closer to the consequences of their mistakes and more likely to be accountable in the near term (e.g. ex Mayor Lightheaded of Chicago). Let’s watch what happens with the enthusiasm for saving the planet from a climate that invariably does its own thing and can’t be controlled by policy in places like Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Portland and elsewhere where radical green agendas are in force. The signs of revolt are growing already and the climate hasn’t batted an eye.
Nobody on a sinking ship who has half a brain will encourage the Captain to keep sailing forward as a massive iceberg scrapes the bow. Leo “DiCarpaccio” however would see that as just another opportunity for fame and self adoration.
This isn’t my experience, since civic level government is lower profile it tends to escape the level of scrutiny higher levels of government receive.
The Titanic Captain went to sleep – it was unsinkable after all!
D.C. has gone to sleep – the Rules Based Order Hegemon is unsinkable.
Wynkin, Blynkin and Nod (go figure…) are fast asleep at the wheel – someone wake them up!
It is best to indoctrinate while people are young.
I remember the Hitler Jugend Bewegung and the serious salutes.
Many of these young kids were sent to front lines in the East and did not come back
The kids and Seniors were sent to the trenches after all able bodied were elliminated, like Kiev is doing right now. And the indoctrination in Kiev is blacked out – one would think it is the 1930’s all over again!
Just looking at Kiev kids schoolbooks is in one way funny – totally unbelievable – we are all Ukrainians now, even JC was likely born in Galicia. Those kids are turning up in Europe, Germany with really strange ideas.
Russia is not headed for defeat. Their oil sales have boosted the ruble to record levels. Their economy is doing well.
More importantly, Putin is not going to accept defeat and will certainly nuke Ukraine to prevent defeat The US and EU are not going nuke Russia in response.
This should be quite obvious to all parties including Soros, so maybe he has some other motivation to write the article. Perhaps to misdirect inverters so he can bet against them
Kiev was the site of one of Fauci’s viral research centres, similar to Wuhan.
In December 2022 Russia accused Ukraine of having a biological warfare programme. If they didn’t have one then, I’m betting they have one now – staffed by highly qualified researchers who used to or may still be part of the USA’s global medical monitoring network.
How bad could such weapons be? In 2001, the Aussie CSIRO stumbled across the key to building the ultimate biological weapon, a simple hack which can be applied to any virus or bacterial pathogen, which scrambles the mammalian immune response. Being the CSIRO, they promptly published precise details of what they had discovered. I’m talking 12 monkeys levels of lethality.
So the answer to why Russia hasn’t nuked Ukraine, I believe the reason is Russia suspects somewhere in Moscow is a Ukrainian deep cover agent with the end of the world sitting in her apartment freezer.
Vaccines rarely work. The Aussies have discovered a new form of an old problem. Not 12 monkeys
Moving nukes into Belarus has a purpose. To ensure victory with minimal risk to Russia.
The interleukin-4 hack the CSIRO discovered has nothing to do with vaccines – they were trying to mildly spice up a mouse virus so they could conduct their contagion research on mice which were already immune to the original virus, and accidentally discovered on a generic lethal modification which killed most of their test animals, and left the rest crippled.
As I read the article, the Assies used a harmless virus as a carrier to infect mice with mouse genetic material. To try and use the mouse immune system to prevent pregnancy by attacking mouse eggs. Only it attacked the mouse.
This would be like taking one of the COVID vaccines that use a carrier virus and replacing the COVID genetic material with human genetic material, so that the human immune system would attack the human.
For my money, everyone should read this 2015 paper. I think I have the link correct. To my mind it is the cookbook for producing COVID. Not COVID itself but it shows the steps.

“Moving nukes into Belarus has a purpose. To ensure victory with minimal risk to Russia.”
As if Putin can control how limited the nuclear war will be.
I don’t think so. I think if Putin uses nukes, he can’t count on not being taken out by other people’s nukes.
Once the first nuke goes off, all bets are off. And Putin knows this.
There are crazies in D.C, Wynkin, Blynkin and Nod, prepared to nuke Europe. Talk about sleepwalking to nuclear hell!
Belarus requested them, just like Germany, Turkey, Italy, Poland and Romania.
France and the U.K. have their own toys, plus the U.K. hosts a U.S. submarine base.
Plenty of nukes all around
Ericā¦
Where is your EVIDENCE that Kyiv had a research facility equivalent to that in Wuhan or Fort Dietrich?
Every modern nation has laboratories capable of detection and analysis of human and animal diseases. Itās part of the normal human health and agricultural biosecurity system. There is nothing sinister about it.
It is entirely REASONABLE to have laboratories capable of detecting biological weapons agents, if you have an aggressive neighbour that ALSO engages in biological warfare research, which Russia does. Which also makes it entirely reasonable for the US to be giving some level of technical and financial support.
There would be something remarkably STUPID about scattering potential weapons-grade research over dozens of tiny laboratories with vastly increased security and transport risks, and which would be very vulnerable to any cross-border incursions – like those of Russia into Ukraine. Which is why the US, China and Russia all do their research well within their own borders, in large, contained and extremely well-secured facilities.
Finally, āMaskirovkaā or deception is a formally-acknowledged part of written Russian military doctrine. Russia has a long history of lying in support of its operations in Ukraine, and we would be gullible indeed to take them at face value. Do we really think that there is something sinister about Ukrainian laboratories containing material with Slavic DNA, when Ukrainians are mostly Slavs?
The existence of Ukrainian bio research labs is not remotely controversial.
https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/exclusive-who-says-it-advised-ukraine-destroy-pathogens-health-labs-prevent-2022-03-11/
Did Ukraine use these skills to produce bio weapons after the invasion? I have no idea. But possessing such weapons, or at least pretending to possess such weapons, is an obvious counter to continuous threats of nuclear attack.
The US outsourced stuff forbidden at Ford Detrick to Ukraine and Georgia.
Russia’s first move was to scoop all bio-lab documents and samples, since presented at the UNSC.
Rusia’s second move was to scoop up 2 x 30+ tons of enriched Uranium and Plutonium which IAEA chief Grossi complained about. Estimated fissile value $300 billion.

Motivation? Money – major money. See post above.
Go back to the vodka Ivan.
Ther is no way Russia will win.
They are out of combat power and their offensive has gained nothing.
Ukraine hasnt even started.
A peace treaty immediately would save what’s left of Ukraine.
“More importantly, Putin is not going to accept defeat and will certainly nuke Ukraine to prevent defeat”
I don’t think so. Putin is not suicidal.
Putin is just trying to scare Tucker Carlson by claiming he is moving tactical nukes to Belarus.
Putin is hoping Tucker will scare other Republicans into defunding the Ukraine war.
Putin clearly said it was a response to nukes stored in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Turkey and the British Depleted Uranium shells. He also said Russia has of course also got Depleted Uranium shells.
Ukraine’s famous agricultural black earth could soon be hazardous. And they aleready had Chernobyl, and actually shelled the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
A Peace Treaty would be for sure less toxic!
“Putin clearly said it was a response to nukes stored in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Turkey and the British Depleted Uranium shells.”
Putin says a lot of things. He claims depleted uranium rounds are equivalent to putting nuclear weapons in Ukraine, so that justifies him putting nuclear weapons in Belarus.
I say Putin is blowing smoke, hoping to scare timid little Americans like Tucker.
To equate depleted uranium tank rounds with nuclear weapons is ridiculous. Even the UN said there was no evidence of radiation effects in Kosovo and Yugoslavia in the war there. The US also did exhaustive testing on it’s soldiers after the Iraq war and found no evidence of radiation effects.
Sorry Tom what has Tucker Carlson got to do with this?
Tucker is vehemently against U.S. involvement in the Ukriane war, and he has a lot of influence among some conservatives, although I’m also a conservative and think he is completely off-base with his Ukraine position.
I think Tucker’s opinions are being picked up by a number of Republicans, although I don’t think U.S. support for Ukraine is going to be in jeopardy because too many Americans are in support of Ukraine.
I think Ron DeSantis hurt himself when he appeared to say that Ukraine was a regional conflict and not in the U.S. interests. His poll numbers immediately fell after he expressed this position and I think he is trying to walk that back a little bit now.
I think Tucker may have gotten to DeSantis a little bit, to DeSantis’ political detriment.
Now we don’t know where DeSantis stands on Ukraine. I suppose more clarification is necessary.
Trump says he will end the Ukraine war in 24 hours. He doesn’t say how he will accomplish this. (I thought I would throw you a little red meat) š
Firstly thanks for the explanation. I appreciate it. I do like the way you take the time to do that without the personal abuse. Like I have said before, we don’t agree, but I think you are probably a good man.
You don’t need to answer this, but I almost want Trump to get in so we see what he’s got up his sleeve on Ukraine. Almost….
“The biggest changes have occurred in the global climate system.” In the last month.
I must have slept through it. š
Right now the US is paying all Kiev’s social expenses whose economy is utterly ruined, on life-support. World Bank Report :
Updated Ukraine Recovery and Reconstruction Needs Assessment

…
estimates that the cost of reconstruction and recovery in Ukraine has grown to US $411 billion (equivalent of ā¬383 billion).
…
The US will of course send the bill to the EU – Brussels will try to send that to the people.
Just imagine what France, already burning over reforms will do with that bill!
As Lord Ismay said at NATO’s founding, it is to keep the US in, Russia out and Germany down.
To make the message clearer NATO bombed the gas pipelines NordStream 1 and 2 .
So Germany will face the bill.
German Reconstruction after WWII in 10 years is a world record, where the Marshall Plan for this sent 4 Dollars to London for every 1 Dollar to Germany.
So guess who Soros represents? After all he managed the British Monarchy’s Quantum Fund
bailed out by the FED at the LTCM crash.
Remember at COP26 run by now King Charles, UN Climate Czar Marc Carney told Bloomberg $130 TRILLION is needed, and Prince Charles declared a Climate War Footing.

Sure looks like Soros is in the Royal loop!
To put it simply – Russia was supposed to be defeated already last summer, and that Climate $130 TRILLION green credit boondoggle was supposed to be a juggernaut (EV of course) by now.
Instead Russia, knowing this, takes its time, grinds Ukraine to dust, teams up with China and the BRI, a real physical economic credit system. And then western banks could not hold out any longer. SVB, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank just last week alone. For Soros’s Golden Billion this is a huge disaster.
Russia is in no rush.
Meanwhile Yellin, Scholz, Macron – nothing to see here, the banks are safe!
Thats bass ackwards. Russia was suppose to have won last summer.
The greenboondoggle is in fact in danger due to te war as Europe is rapidly realisng net zero is bunk, they need fuel cars and they need nuclear power
Brussels and D.C. , London had prepared Russian sanctions very carefully already in 2021 and were absolutely sure they would work in a few months. Those aces sure fell on their *sses and now face an economic dis-asster.
That green boondoggle was supposed to bail out the entire transatlantic – Soros’s Golden Billion have been handed their *sses.
“Instead Russia, knowing this, takes its time, grinds Ukraine to dust, teams up with China and the BRI, a real physical economic credit system. And then western banks could not hold out any longer. SVB, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank just last week alone.”
Caused by Joe Biden’s inflation and bad investments by certain banks. Putin, China and the BRI had nothing to do with it.
Time had to do with it.
Soros in his way and Russia, China in their way, know this. Even Biden can hear the clock ticking….
Eerie (strange and frightening).
You live in “Eerie World”, bonbon.
ESG investing, in case of SVB
And Credit Suisse – $267 Billion debt taken on by Bern? That is DOUBLE what the US so far sent to Ukraine. Everyone is looking at Deutsche Bank right now!
I heard they were involved in ESG investing, but don’t know to what degree, or if that was signficant.
Their main problem was they expected zero interest rates to last forever, and when the Trafficker-in-Chief, Joe Biden, set the inflation in motion by spending TRILLIONS of dollars, interest rates increased dramatically, and the banks were caught with their pants down. Suppoedly, some 250 banks have similar problems.
In the case of SVB, they had plenty of warning that their inestments were on shaky ground. They were warned at least a year ago about their risks.
Green activism in Europe is funded by the Kremlin.A decisive Ukrainian victory would see it put to bed.
Stopping funding Ukraine would be a total disaster for the US and Europe, as it would simply encourage Russia and China to acquire more territory.
You mean all those sanction wunderwaffen used against Russia did not cut off funding?
Give Ursula van der Leichen a call.
EU Commissioner van der Leyen did blurt out the casualty rate – 100,000 Ukrainian officers KIA. Hence the new nickname.
If Europe still has money to waste on green projects they donāt need US support, they need a reality check to correct their priorities.
That sums it up nicely.
Throwing good money after bad is not good strategy. Any gambler knows that!
From the article: “The biggest changes have occurred in the global climate system. By this, I mean actual climate events and climate scientistsā understanding of those events. The main message I wanted to convey in Munich was that the global climate system is greatly dependent on what happens within the Arctic Circle. ”
There’s an incoherent statement.
I think George Soros (among other billionaires) ought to be locked up for interfering in the American political system.
George Soros is responsible for much of the lawlessness that is currently going on in Democrat cities. His money has elected Democrat District Attorneys who are soft on crime and focus on letting criminals out of jail instead of locking them up. Thus, with more criminals on the street, you get more crime. Simple. The solution is simple too: Lock the criminals up and keep them locked up.
George Soros spends a lot of money to allow ciminals to run free. George Soros has caused a lot of harm to a lot of innocent people. George Soros is an enemy of the people.
Numerous countries have banned Soros ‘philanthropism’ . Soros should register as a foreign agent as the Disinformation Board chief Jankowicz recently did in the UK. Before Biden’s DFB she headed up Kiev’s CCD, Center for Countering Disinformation, US funded, part of the UK’s Integrity Initiative.

EU Planning to Invest Frozen Russian Assets, Give Returns to Ukraine
https://libertarianinstitute.org/news/eu-planning-to-invest-frozen-russian-assets-give-returns-to-ukraine/
$300 billion siezed and frozen to be invested with 2.6% return? Who will bear losses?
Anyone here want to bet what the EU will invest in?
I can understand Russia being pretty upset about that.
10% for the big guy
I think the “Big Guy” is trying to lay low right now.
A reporter asked Biden a question the other day about the Biden family involvement with Chinese money, and Biden seemed almost dumbstruck, as though it was a completely unexpected question. I couldn’t tell if Biden was serious (therefor, delusional) or acting.
I think there have been something like 150 “Suspicious Activity Reports” filed from banks on various Biden family members. Congress has only recieved one of these and has already connected the Biden family to a $3 million payment by the Chinese Communist Party.
The Biden Crime Family finances are going to be laid out in public.
We’ll see how much the “Big Guy” and his family members benefitted from peddling his influence.
And it looks to me like Joe Biden is going very easy on the Chicoms. Is that because he is being paid to do so? Is that because he is being blackmailed to do so?
Why is Joe Biden going easy on the Chicoms?
I have trusted this site for many years and now you publish shear idiocy. What possible good could come from allowing Russia to conquer Ukraine? Connecting Ukraine to climate is just as dumb as connecting climate to migration. There is no relationship. Iāve worked as an economist for 60 years. This is the dumbest thing Iāve ever read.
