U.S.—A series of new bills working their way through state legislatures in New York, California, Oregon, Hawaii, and several other progressive states will require you to listen to a Greta Thunberg lecture before purchasing gasoline.
Motorists will be required to watch a 20-minute lecture by the 16-year-old climate activist before they purchase gallons and gallons of harmful fossil fuels.
“We want to make sure drivers are informed,” said California Governor Gavin Newsom, who says he will sign the bill into law. “So we are having them get lectured by a 16-year-old so they will have all the facts before they do something rash like put gasoline in their cars to go to work.”
Once the driver has listened to Thunberg’s entire lecture, they will be prompted to complete a quick, fifteen-question quiz to show they understand how horrible they are for driving a car. Drivers who get at least 80% will then be allowed to refuel their vehicles. As they refuel, the screen will simply play a clip of Thunberg saying, “How dare you!” over and over again.
The law will not apply to celebrities purchasing jet fuel.

When CNN ran a story about a proposed trillion dollar coin, I figured they had been punked by The Onion.
Sadly not.

Do Greta’s puppetmasters not even see the stark analogous optics of Greta’s sneering face with the images of the Hitler Youth from the mid 20th century? Greta could almost be a satire of fascism if she weren’t supposed to be “real.” I think the comment that Climate nutcases have formed a religious cult are so true. Greta is much scarier than any climate change I’ve encountered.
All they’re doing is trying to make it take as long to fill up with fuel as it takes to recharge an electric car.

How would this work in Oregon since the state does not allow people to pump their own gas? Do the attendants have to listen to her shrill hundreds of times a day? From a parent of kids who recently graduated from being a teenager, they are idiots. Why anyone gives this kid a platform and considers her an expert is beyond absurd.
I thought I had seen all the craziness but I was mistaken. I guess all airline passengers will have to do the same before boarding. Come on you smart lawyers out there – sue these stupid States. They must be infringing some of my liberty enshrined in law.
I realize the Babylon Bee is a satire site, but when I read the article I was almost ready to believe it, at least for California. I lived there for 43 years and moved out just before the craziness went into overdrive (2014). Even then they were over the edge of the insanity cliff and clinging to the edge by their fingernails. Since then they have lost their hold and are tumbling down the rocks.
My only caution to The Babylon Bee would be this. Don’t give them any more suggestions. There’s bound to be somebody in the government of California who will actually think it’s a good idea.
