Let’s take a look.

EMS officially served as the “scientific” branch of the leftist public-relations firm Fenton Communications; both companies shared the same Washington, D.C. address and office space. For more than a decade, David Fenton (CEO of Fenton Communications) used EMS to run negative media campaigns against a wide variety of targets, including biogenetic foods, America’s dairy industry, and President George W. Bush.

….

Foremost public relations firm of the political left. Past clients have included Marxist dictatorships in Central America. Represents environmentalist groups, pro-Democratic political action committees, labor unions, and the anti-war movement.

Founded in 1982 by activist and public relations veteran David Fenton, Fenton Communications (FC) is the leading advertising and public relations firm for advocacy groups on the political left, with locations in Washington DC, New York, and San Francisco.

Back to the National Geographic article.  Full court propaganda press in progress.

Kreider will lead the global nonprofit’s external communications and outreach strategies including corporate communications, media relations, marketing, museums and experiences, social and digital media, creative and storytelling. She will also manage the organization’s public policy efforts. Together, her team will amplify the Society’s mission and impact to global audiences to achieve the organization’s vision. The descent of National Geo may be complete.

Rupert Murdoch is no fan of global warming. In fact he’s quite publicly anti-alarmist about warming and skeptical of man’s role. When he purchased the liberal National Geo several years ago there was a collective gasp from the left with fears that there would be a horrible bloodbath and sudden shift from politics to (gasp) science. I was at least hoping for a house cleaning and a few objective articles. I lost interest waiting. If he ever leavened the hardtack diet of green propaganda, I never heard, but I guess this answers it.

My guess is Jeff Bezos knows the Climate Scam is a scam. And he owns the WaPo.

These guys are smart to understand that Washington DC changes political sides like the the weather.
Get caught on the wrong side of a political issue when the winds shift… Bam!!!! Now the DOJ, IRS, SEC, FCC, FDIC, FBI, FEC, (and letters you’ve never heard of) and the janitor at the Bureau of Reclamation’s are all investigating and auditing your junk.

In 2014 Anthony kindly published my play upon National Geographic. I took the 2004 Natgeo issue on global warming, corrected some of the many errors and modernized it to make a comparative 2014 edition. Much was learned in that decade to 2014.
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/08/31/national-geographics-warming-warning-10-years-later/
None of us expected Natgeo to openly admit to the 2004 errors, to update the knowledge to 2014 or in general to take any notice at all of the suggestions I made.

This, however, has to be considered in the light of the many readers who wrote of cancelling their Natgeo subscriptions years ago because the editorial standards had lost their way, with selective alarmism replacing objective science.
Now that there is a new chief Editor, maybe the topic can be raised again, so that the 2014 issue of NatGeo is updated with new science and old errors finally corrected to show a brand spanking new editorial approach in the corresponding 2019 issue, due out in a few months maybe?

All these publications, from NatGeo, to Science Mag, to Nature will be hoping their readers don’t remember their dumb genuflections to Establishment Climate Science.
That is by 2030, they will hope their 3 remaining readers don’t remember the lies from 20 years earlier, and drop them like the other 30 Million readers did a decade earlier.

I’ve been boycotting them for years now. I turned back a gift subscription as the final act.

National Geographic, or NatGeo as it is branded for the science segments in public schools throughout the land, has gone the way of The Smithsonian…another fine magazine back in the day but is now a propaganda outlet for Brussels and the DNC.

When does the iconic magazine cover switch from the highly recognizable yellow to red?

Fenton Commincations orchestrated the Alar scare which almost put the Northwest apple industry out of business years ago. Their main tools were ’60 minutes’ and net work news.

Are there any alternatives? I’m fine with the general narrative of non-catastrophic anthropogenic (uncertain contribution) global warming that may present some problems down the road, but all of my favorite science magazines/TV sources have gone political, and I’m not down with that.
