Now that the move has been successful, I’m trying out a new commenting system plugin called WPDISCUZ.

The original comment editor I installed last week didn’t work properly for everyone, and it screwed up comment indentation, so I had to disable it.
Try it out, leave a comment, leave a comment rating, try the sort features, etc. You can edit a comment up to 15 minutes after making it.
You can also visit another thread to see how it looks with many comments already in place.

UPDATE: I think I have the “reply” in nested comments working, and the EDIT function working properly. Also, the good news is that once you put in your name and email, it should always remember you….at least that is what I’m told by the documentation.
The bad news: General comment form is at the top, and there appears to be no way to change it according to this thread:
So, just use it for a general comment about the article, or scroll down and reply to an existing comment.
UPDATE2: You can display an image (or YouTube video) within a comment, (see examples in the thread below) but you MUST use https rather than http. Just simply insert the image URL, no tags or HTML needed.
If you use http all you’ll get is a link, but no embedded image.
Feel free to play around with inserting images or video in comments below.

The indentation is MUCH better, Anthony. Hmm, however… I see a character count up there, TRYING to be inconspicuous – is this a new length-limiting policy? This is about the only site where I’m not the MOST long-winded. Also about to test the “keep my info.”
Ah – strange. Filled in the info on another reply, and it magically appeared here (this reply widget stayed open even when I went elsewhere in the thread – and there is apparently no explicit “cancel” link in the widget – although there is one to cancel editing).
One more “like” though – an annoying thing on other systems is that you can upvote your own comment – THIS widget prevents it (at least under the same login). Nice!
Posted two comments in another thread… the first apparently disappeared and took a long time to do so; the second posted, and only then did the first one become visible. Does it do a lookup in a known-poster database, and if so, is it really slow??
As long as you’re working on the buttons I would suggest a quote button so you don’t have to add blockquote and perhaps “B”old “I”talic and “U”nderline too
Thanks a heap for the +/- notation Anthony. A web site with as many login readers as you have, we readers need to scroll quickly through to the most worthwhile comments, guided by the +/- notations. GREAT!
I wish you would only see a limited number of the nested comments, like 2.
The problem is that sometimes the first comment takes over, or some tangent thread takes page after page after page of scrolling to get to other stuff.
That would allow later unnested comments to have a lot more value. My 2 cents.

Those instructions are wrong for the new commenting system. Instead, click on the “link” symbol (🔗) at the upper-right corner, then click in the pop-up box, then ctrl-A (select all), then ctrl-C (copy to clipboard). (Then click the 🔗 again to make the pop-up box go away.)
It is more cumbersome than the old system, but it works.

It takes time for big changes to software with a huge database to move around, patience is advised as we can see Anthony and others behind the scenes are hard at work, they deserve the respect and support for the hard work they do.
That’s nice.
My own fumble fingers will appreciate the 15 minute edit greatly.
I do NOT like the + and – feature because neither science nor truth are determined by vote. It has been my experience on other sites that the finest comments get a lot of negative votes from people with other beliefs. Add to that WUWT’s trolls, and it will be hard to find the good stuff.
I also don’t like what it will do to Nick Stokes. He has never figured out that carbon dioxide is the basis of Life an Earth; he is an alarmist. I appreciate his courage coming here. He sometimes posts rubbish, but he is quite thoughtful and often posts really worthwhile stuff. We need him.
We also need any other alarmists with the courage to visit this site and leave intelligent comments.
I see that there is a spell check here. That will help to reduce misspellings and other typos.
Not that the +/- feature won’t disappear or change the position of comments, and I don’t think Nick will really care. We’ll run it for awhile and see how it goes.
In my experience +/- features always end up as a form of stigmatising the bullies’ chosen target.
It is not good for a diverse debate.
You have a point, but for me, as I am often very late to a post, I’d just like to know if somebody actually read my comment whether they liked it or not.

Seeing if the “reply” works in my Firefox here. Also worth suggesting to anyone interested who’s any sort of investigative reporter, that it might be worthwhile to see if that other hugely widespread “Disqus” commenting system out there is paving the way is some manner (algorithms or whatever) for pro-AGW sites to automatically screen out commentary from AGW skeptic folks.

No image, just a link (blue text on white background). When hovering over the link though, the mouse cursor turns into the normal ‘hand’, but the actual link text disappears. Link is still active though as shows up in the status bar.

I am able to access the +/- vote toggles but was not able to ‘reply’ to comments. I’ll test it here.
Apparently when you fill in the info on one reply, and have another reply widget open, it shares that info. But not on a new reply without anything else going.
Reply doesn’t work with Chrome on Linux either. I prefer that old comment font but that should be an easy fix?

This site won’t host the picture, you have to have it hosted elsewhere on the Internet. It used to be that PhotoBucket would do it for free, but now they want money 🙁 If anyone knows a good, free hosting service, I’d love to hear about it!

The 1st time the ‘reply’ button worked for me (opened a reply comment window), I had to also provide my user name and email address. Subsequent replies did not require that information again. It is displayed ‘filled in’. An antispam security feature, judging from the adjacent statement “This comment form is under antispam protection.”

Hmm. That wasn’t the behavior for me (see above). Firefox, latest update, on this machine. If you have a different browser, that is probably the reason for the difference.
Using Chrome. Just cleared cashe two days ago too. Spamming just to test. All my URL’s take a while to post “officially”. Lag time on the server? But they are showing up eventually.
Hi Anthony. Well done with the move, although reregistering to follow by e-mail took a while and I had to use an alternate e-mail address to get it to work.

Test …. 1 to 2 minute time to edit should be enough time. Any longer and risk is replying to a comment that has been changed due to original poster editing. Could be an issue that could become a mess with changes leading to changes leading to more editing. 1 or 2 minutes max to edit typos is good enough.
Agree. Adjusting comments after a reply could be detrimental leading to too many cases of he said she said. As W.E. asks, quote the exact words if you disagree, but what if those words get changed by the author after the fact? I think just about everyone is tolerant of typos, missing words and such, we all do it from time to .

It is a mess.
I hate to be to critical, with all the bone crushing hard work which is going into this.
But a few points:
Too busy, too many graphic elements going on.
{Show More} – not optimal to hide stuff.
Comment Box needs to be at the bottom, we need to encourage the more hasty of us to read before commenting. Having the comment box at the top encourages the wrong thing.
WUWT is *not* FACEBOOK.
Vote up, Vote down, Link, Share, Social Media! Do not need, do not want.
The Links:
Displays as light blue on white.
When you cursor over it, it highlights to *White on White*, that is, it *disappears*.
If you click on it, it stays disappeared. Bad.

What we need:
1) Inline display of graphics, and hopefully videos.

Doing stuff like this, you *always* want a Plan B. You just never know when things will go from bad to worse.

Yesterday there was a 2-meter space rock (I hesitate to call it an “asteroid”, even though it – just barely! – met the criterion of “asteroid” of having been seen in space before hitting the Earth.)… But this barely-an-asteroid WAS observed, even a couple of HOURS before impact.

I have 2 tabs open and will time between posting comment on this tab (#1) and it showing on tab#2 . I was not able to even refresh tab #1 earlier comment for about 10 min but comment showed up on tab #2.
I time this comment and reply back to this comment on tab#1 and simply monitor thread on tab #2

What about an ‘original comment’ box also at the bottom (after the last comment)? If I read the comments starting from the top to the last and I want to make a comment (not a reply), I have to scroll all the way to the beginning comment.

This tab#1 is inverted or reversed with my comments shown on top.
Tab#2 that I am only using for monitoring has my comments at the bottom or normal position.

Clicking on the ‘reply button’ a second time will allow you to escape the ‘reply’ function. Don’t believe the cancel option, it’s a crap button.

Hello, trying out the new comments system…
Liked it.
Except that now when a post exceeds more than a paragraph the comment goes into youtube mode where it is necessary to click “read more” to see the rest of the comment. Probably so annoying that i can already see it is not worth looking at the comments section unless one is willing to get a jackhammer to click all the “read more” interruptions.

Adds a lot of time and energy to investigating comments. From the point of view of a reader of comments, this is a very laborious system and so i fail to have the energy to approach a comment section when i need to reveal comments with a ‘read more’ button.
The usual scroll function of being able to scroll down the page is vastly more efficient.
Hence, the fail. I barely go to a comment section thus presented….I barely go to youtube comments since this “read more” button was deployed.
I suspect there are others, though not all, like me.
It amounts to a fail from my perspective and so unnecessary.
We all have a scroll button that can take us past and entire comment and even its replies without this “READ MORE” at light speed.
LOL, my previous comment now has a “read more” button ….OK….i have made my point…the ‘read more’ button in my opinion is an epic fail for the adept scroller, however, …….this is just my opinion..

One thing you might want to add is the standard notice that you do not make the email addresses public.

I tried to extend a comment with the Edit function. I just added one sentence and got
“Input Too Long”, and the edit was rejected.

Observations and Conclusions:
1. Temperature, among other factors, drives atmospheric CO2 much more than CO2 drives temperature. The rate of change dCO2/dt is closely correlated with temperature and thus atmospheric CO2 LAGS temperature by ~9 months in the modern data record. 2. CO2 also lags temperature by ~~800 years in the ice core record, on a longer time scale.

4. CO2 is the feedstock for carbon-based life on Earth, and Earth’s atmosphere and oceans are clearly CO2-deficient. CO2 abatement and sequestration schemes are nonsense.
5. Based on the evidence, Earth’s climate is insensitive to increased atmospheric CO2 – there is no global warming crisis.
6. Recent global warming was natural and irregularly cyclical – the next climate phase following the ~20 year pause will probably be global cooling, starting by ~2020 or sooner.
7. Adaptation is clearly the best approach to deal with the moderate global warming and cooling experienced in recent centuries.
8. Cool and cold weather kills many more people than warm or hot weather, even in warm climates. There are about 100,000 Excess Winter Deaths every year in the USA and about 10,000 in Canada.
9. Green energy schemes have needlessly driven up energy costs, reduced electrical grid reliability and contributed to increased winter mortality, which especially targets the elderly and the poor.
10. Cheap, abundant, reliable energy is the lifeblood of modern society. When politicians fool with energy systems, real people suffer and die. That is the tragic legacy of false global warming alarmism.

Introduction:
I proved in January 2008 that the rate-of-change dCO2/dt varies ~contemporaneously with global atmospheric temperature, and its integral the atmospheric CO2 trend lags temperature by ~9 months.

The integral of a sine curve lags the sine curve by 90 degrees, which equals 1/4 of the 360 degree full cycle.
CO2 lags temperature by about 9 months, therefore this total cycle time should be about 4×9 = 36 months.
Hypothesis:
This approx. 36 month cycle is the Equatorial Pacific Sea Surface Temperature (SST) Cycle and the Global Temperature cycle.
Equatorial Pacific Ocean SST’s and global atmospheric temperatures have a natural temperature cycle (peak-to-peak) averaging about 36 months peak-to-peak.
For example, based on UAH LT temperature peaks, the mean cycle is 36.3 months and the lag is 9.1 months vs the approx. 9 months in my 2008 icecap.us paper.
The above Hypothesis is supported by the evidence.

D. CONCLUSIONS:
I suggest that the global warming alarmists could not be more wrong. These are the true facts, which are opposite to their alarmist claims:
1. CO2 is plant food, and greater atmospheric CO2 is good for natural plants and also for agriculture.
2. Earth’s atmosphere is clearly CO2-deficient and the current increase in CO2 (whatever the causes) is net strongly beneficial.
3. Increased atmospheric CO2 does not cause significant global warming – regrettable because the world is too cold and about to get colder.

Ghostery for either Chrome or Firefox is an add on. I am giving up on Firefox though, and sticking with Chrome. Gostery gives great control over trackers on all sites, except for here where it is best to disable it. It speeds up page loading quite a bit when it shows you which tracker is impeding the page the most. You then block that one and a page may go from 6 or 8 seconds down to 2 or 3 seconds on loading. Quite a nice difference, imo.

OK, I’ll use this opportunity to ask a question I always want to ask.
Am I wrong in the following statement about Einstein’s equivalence principle — and, if so, where I am wrong?
Rocket acceleration and gravitational acceleration are different things, there is no equivalence between them if the observer uses precision plumb lines and atomic clocks. If one installs three plumb lines on the ceiling of the windowless experimental chamber, and two atomic clocks, one on the ceiling and one on the floor of the same experimental chamber, under rocket acceleration of 1g plumb lines will be parallel, and atomic clocks will be synchronous. Under gravitational acceleration of 1g plumb lines will point at the center of the mass (not parallel), and the atomic clock on the ceiling will be ahead of the clock on the floor.
Where’s equivalence here?

The atomic clocks are each experiencing different accelerations because their distance r to the center of the Earth is different. The clock closer to the center has more acceleration due to gravity on it, and thus it runs slower.
If you saw the movie Interstellar, they use this trick where 3 astronauts go into deep gravity well planet for only a few hours by their clock, yet their companion who stays outside the well ages like 15 years.
Atomic clocks exeriencing the same force due to gravitational acceleration will not measure any time dilation due to differences in how fast they tick. And if that force is due to linear (or centripetal) acceleration, the clock will not show any delta t.
Centripetal acceleration also has GR effects known as frame dragging. Frame dragging has been observationally verified with satellites and I think in paired magnetars.

What you are describing is tidal force. WIth those two clocks spaced at different r from center of Earth, thus the force due to gravity is different, and solid objects get stretched (because they are extended bodies) by tidal forces and not mathematical points.
Black holes with sharp event horizons “spaghetti-fy’s” matter as it enters due to tidal stretching. Not pretty if you are an astronaut approaching the event horizon. An extremely massive black hole though the tidal forces may be so low that matter can survive event horizon passage. No one in this universe knows what comes next.
As far as the difference in line spacing between plumb lines at the top and at the bottom near the plumb, that has nothing to do with GR. One problem with your experimental setup is the top bar the strings are attached to is linear, not curved. So the center line is closer to the ground than the two outer lines, unless you curve the top bar to the produce the same r from the center of Earth. The lines still would not be parallel though. That is the geometry of the forces.
Importantly though the tension (force) on all three strings though is equivalent if the plumb bob masses are equivalent whether the acceleration is due to gravity or linear acceleration.

Since the pace of time indicated by atomic clocks depends on the distance from the center of mass, there is a difference in their readings. In the case of rocket acceleration there would be no such difference. Therefore, there is an experimental way to determine the nature of acceleration (gravitational vs. rocket-produced)? Even if there are no other means to observe or establish this result (in otherwise identical conditions)? Do I understand it correctly?

I tried to post a long comment, a reply to my own comment. It didn’t seem to work. It did the “Knight Rider back-and-forth wait thing” and then… nothing. I was still looking at the bottom half of my long comment.
Tried a few more times, with the same result.
Eventually I scrolled up in just time to see a very brief error message at the top of my comment, which was just disappearing as I glimpsed it:
We are sorry, but this comment cannot be posted. Please try later.
This commenting system is pretty bad, from a usability point of view. Look at all the problems with that behavior:
1. The error message is far from where your eyes are focused: the “Post comment” button is at the bottom of the comment, but the error message is at the top — which is hidden off the screen under some circumstances.
2. The error message goes away almost before you have time to read it. In fact, it took about 3 or 4 tries to selected it and copy to clipboard fast enough to catch it.
3. An error message which doesn’t say what is wrong, nor what to do about it. (Well, it says what to do about it (“try later”), but that advice is wrong.)
I spent the next twenty minutes of so trying to narrow down the cause of the problem.
The actual problem turned out to be that my original comment was gone!
I guess that’s an artifact of the malfunctioning new anti-spam feature. So, more problems:
4. It flagged non-spam as spam. (But Akismet often did this, too.)
5. It hid the message, without telling the user. (Akismet did this, too, but at least with Akismet you could tell that it had happened.)
6. It wouldn’t let me post a repy to it, and didn’t say why not, and wasted a bunch of my time trying to figure it out.
It is also annoying that you see only a small snippet of a comment until clicking “Read more” — and the formatting is mangled in that small snippet.
And why is the text size so tiny in the replies?
I like the long edit time. I dislike the lack of a countdown timer. I typed an elaborate edit, but when I tried to post it I got an error:

So, the 15 minute timer runs silently, and it doesn’t reset when you post an edit. In other words, if you make an edit at 10 minutes, you only have 5 minutes left to make another edit. That’s not ideal for OCD guys who want to keep tweaking the comment and inspecting the result, to get it just right.

Hmm… I think the difference isn’t “your own” vs. “other people.” I think the difference might be “visited” vs. “not visited.” The “visited” links are white-on-white (invisible).

I dont think it resets the clock but seems that you can do as many ‘edits’ as you want until the clock runs out. The real kicker is that your posted comment is visible on the WUWT page while you are editing and then changes after you save it after edit. Fun part is you can make the WUWT page visible comment keep changing for those viewing your comment! Cuttlefish got nothing on the edit function!
I think generally the system is better than it ever was with a few exceptions.
1. The inability to post images or videos directly is a huge loss.
2. The formatting style sheet I would personally like to see fine tuned.
For example
(a) the default ‘blue’ colour in WUWT is rgb(17, 123, 184) but in the comments it’s a wishy washy (to me) rgb(0, 179, 143)….
(b) Also the font size changes a shade too much from comment to reply.
(c) The blockquote style is just an indent rather than a nice shaded box.
But the ability to edit is a massive massive improvement for someone like myself whose typing skills are very low.
If only we could post pictures and graphs…and videos

I really dislike this format – I think the font is too light and small and it gets even smaller for the strangely inset secondary contributions. Please remember not everyone has 20/20 vision.

Anthony ==> I like the “Read More….” feature — it solves the problem of “essay-length” comments pushing other comments way off the bottom of the page and taking lots of PgDn’s to get past.
I also like that the original comments are easily distinguished from the replies to them — easier to identify the threads.

Nesting appears to work on my mobile Firefox, but in a limited way. I didn’t realise until I got to work that comment threads aren’t visibly fully nested on mobile. They are limited to the screen width, so at least the problem with the original implementation–horribly narrow comments that are quite a pain to read–isn’t present. Not ideal, but I’m not sure what can be done for a phone screen. I don’t think I see the same problem with white link text on my phone, though.
Edit: trying to find your own comment after you post and refresh…also not optimal, when it’s three or four “Load More Comments” down the page and you’re set to read “oldest first”.

1. If possible, add a link to the html at the end of comments that links to a same-page anchor set just below the grey bar that has left and right previous post — next post (it is just above the current “Leave A Reply”) This would allow readers reading all the comments to click a “Leave a Comment” link that takes them right back up to Leave a Reply form at the beginning of comments. *since it is apparently not possible to move that form).
2. If possible, add at the end of comments — where (if there are scads of comments) it gives a Load More Comments (something like that) — and alternate link –Load All Comments.
PS: I like that comments I haven’t seen appear with a shaded background.
First, I don’t mind the New Comment box being at the top rather than the bottom, as I’ll get used to it.
Second, unlike some other commentators, I do mind having to click anything to read more of a comment or read more comments. I like to be quick on the PgDn button and ignore things I’m not interested in. There is a good ergonomic reason for this: it is more relaxing just to have a finger on one key than to have to move the cursor to follow a page button. Relaxation makes for better information input.

Third, I don’t like not seeing an exact time of someone’s quote, as it has been useful in the past to quote this.
Fourth, as a result of that it is hard even to tell the direction of travel of the whole thread.
Fifth, how does one click on something to get a bookmarkable link to a particular comment rather than to the whole thread? That was extremely valuable in the past.
So far the plusses don’t outweigh the minusses IMHO.

OK ——– I think I see what the chain link does. It just highlights the associated sub thread in colored boxes and if you mouse over the colored box the color goes away.
Is that all it’s supposed to do? If so, it may have some value but doesn’t seem too much to get excited about.

If you are asking me, I can only say that the colored link disappears when you mouse over it and is then permanently invisible once you open/click on it. If you know where it was you can still click the invisible/blank spot to open it.

I tried to post under my old handle (TA) and got this error message: “Please match the requested format”.
That’s all it gave me with no instructions about what the requested format is. So I emailed Anthony and he said this was the first he had heard of this problem and didn’t know what to do to fix it and suggested I use my name instead of my initials. I did so and it looks like it worked.
I know others use a two-letter, capitalized handle, too, so if you are having trouble posting it probably has something to do with your two-letter handle.

My apologies – apparently I had “oldest” set opposite “Subscribe”, and when I fixed that to be “newest” I could see my comments. So,
Seventh, I’d like to see an option “all” next to “newest”.
Both “newest” and “oldest” display “all”. They just impact the order.

I can see first and second, then third, then sixth about 4 hours ago.
So far it takes a lot of refreshing and finding where you were in the thread.
Try this: refresh, then make sure the little green ^ (to the right of the time clock) has not collapsed the sub threaded comments.
AW is likely working on bigger programming issues and I’m sure he will get to the others as time permits. It’s driving me nuts but including the time of your posting will help you keep track, it did with me.
When all else fails just refresh again and again. A second open tab for “monitoring only” also helps.

Every time you post (and maybe refresh) you will need to reset the “newest/oldest” button as it will default back to “oldest”

This is a great site and now it is better.
The main practical issue I have is the truncation of the thread. You have to ask for “More Comments” and then again. That makes searching hard. One way I find replies is by searching for my name. It also is rather strange when a new comment shows as highlighted, and then disappears to the end. It’s true that you can now re-order them, but that breaks logical sequence. It’s also illogical, in that old comments indented can appear on the first page. I think if options to reorder are given, it should also be possible to show whole thread.
Truncating comments (“Read More”) also affects searching, to a lesser extent.
Yes, Nick, your comments echo my second (read more) and seventh (“all” needed) points, and I also mentioned searching for my own comments.

Perhaps this isn’t in your control but, a gray line appears under the commenter’s name.
If there have been not replies, the next commenter’s name look’s like a bit like signature.
If it is in your control, perhaps move the grey line above the name?
just click on the ‘reply’ button again to escape the reply mode.
One more note on escaping the ‘reply’ function. When you have been frustrated with getting trapped by ‘reply’ and then click a different ‘reply’ now you are in double jeopardy. Now you gotta find ’em all and get out of multiple locks. That is FUN. Or as usual …. refresh, reset, and scroll.
I sure hope I’m not making anyone miss out on the mystery of the chase by revealing the conclusion. People have been killed over that in the movie theaters. Mystery and suspense awaits every new gadget and keystroke! 🙂

Try refreshing to get your comment to go where it belongs. I have a comment thread somewhere in this posting explaining it. The key as it stands now (or earlier) is to refresh, scroll, reset order, and then scroll some more to find your comment.
Also to use the Ctrl F function you need to scroll and click through ALL the ‘load more comments’ to get full thread coverage.
The whole site has become scrambled when I use Pale Moon (my preferred browser) today – it wasn’t like that when you first migrated to the new servers. Unable to even submit a comment. Forced to use Chrome to tell you about it.
Sorry, but we can’t help if if obscure browsers don’t support what mainstream browsers like Chrome do…

Heads up for those who use “Ctrl F” to search a post’s comments, unless you hit “load more comments” (perhaps again and again), you’ll only get hits for the comments in the range you can scroll down too.
Yes, that’s a bit problematic – I’m always using the Cntrl>F function.

I just now tried out the ‘chain link’ function to the far right of commenter’s name.
If you click on the link button nothing happens until you refresh (of course). That will move the sub thread (beginning with the linked commenter) to the top of the main comments page in the posting. But, of course, the newest/oldest will be reset to default ‘oldest’. The linked comments will be highlighted in colored boxes. if you mouse over one of those the color will vanish. So if you want to keep the color be sure that you don’t let your mouse cross the box. If you want to remove the color just scroll right over the sub-thread and it will be gone (the color). Then when you want the linked sub-thread to go back where it belongs well… you guessed it … refresh, reset order, and scroll baby scroll ’till ya get back where you want to be.
By the way, the colored boxes using the ‘chain link’ will be nice when the bugs are worked out.
Don’t know if it matters after the fact, but when you implemented the new comment system, it appeared on all the older posts, also. And at that point I had to re-enter my vitals. All done now.
I really like the edit option. Usually I just need to add a comma or other punctuation, but reading it after posting, I always see something wrong which I can now correct. And I have already used it. THANKS!
I just noticed another problem with the new system, and it’s a serious one: The comment URLs in old articles are broken.
For example, this was the URL of a comment which I made last summer about the benefits of elevated CO2 for CAM plants (like pineapple):

I’d like to reiterate my “second” point from below about the “Read more” issue. If we have to have such a thing, could we make it a larger amount of text before the “Read more”? I presume that this should be some configuration setting? I’d suggest twice as much as at present. How about having a WUWT vote on what the limit should be?

I’d like the option to just disable the “Read more” and “Load more comments” features, altogether. I can see that such features could be useful when reading on a mobile device, but on a desktop computer they’re are just a nuisance.

The [Load More] pagination type is the best choice.
Second, I’d suggest using the collapsed thread option, it makes x10 faster the first page loading speed:

I’d also recommend set the “newest” sorting type by default. I think the newest comments should be close to the comment form and people should see the latest comments first. wpDiscuz only displays comment form on top, so the newest comments should also be on top.
When I tried to use the ‘chain link’ to link to a specific post in a thread it now shows the whole thread. I’ll see if it does it again here.
